Title: Is this the right place to ask about lucid dreaming? If so, need some advice
Post by: Jdeadevil on August 24, 2012, 01:30:56
So this morning I had a lucid dream for the first time in a while, and I was in that strange state where if I visualised, I'd get sucked into the dreaming world consciously, yet if I got distracted and did as much as rotate my eyes I'd lose it. Anyone recognise that? Just wanted to ask for advice on how to deepen an LD from there.

Hi,
First you need to disassociate yourself from the physical by entering this state of mind. Basically think of a flat land with a basic sky and walk into it. KEEP awareness at maximum or you'll lose it. Think of.what you want to.create and basically be as creative as a god. In this place (state of conciousness) you have total control of absolutely everything. I very recently set up a bad situation, deliberately, to test my fears and got booted out of the scene.

It's not very common an experience or so it seems from many posts but once achieved you can really have fun doing absolutely anything you desire.
Staying alert and non emotional is a MUST. Letting go and fear doing the creating will scare the crxx out of you.
Go for it again. Peace and love in mind really helps.

Hmm well I think it's the entrance to my own subconscious is something I have to concentrate on for the time being, but when the time comes I'll keep your experience in mind - Which was interesting by the way, I read that thread you linked me to.

Hi,
Your description sounded very familiar. Its necessary to have a stable mindset this being achieved after many NP experiences. Its also very easy to lose yourself in it too. The familiar thought=action is extreme here. You can easily wake yourself from it too, just like being deep in meditation or phasing to the point of exit then thinking of your physical self, it ends there.
If you attain this easily go for the experience, its so awesome, you can do anything.
Im not sure where it fits in with these labels typically used F whatever but the BST comes to mind.
You think it maybe the entrance to your subconcious. What gives that impression and how do you intend to utilise it?
Interesting post.

Lol well, when I say entrance to the subconscious I basically just mean entering a lucid dream. But yeah I'd say it is relatively the same, the time I started to wake up and entered the state between wakefulness and dreaming was when there was nothing in my line of sight but a beach and a person talking to someone behind the "camera". My only guess is that it's the lack of dream content which allowed me to almost step back in.

Hi,
When you're ready, learn to exit a fraction more and the scene will disappear leaving the blackness. This is the point where you can create your dream or exit to a pre-arranged locale.
The result is better than those occasional NP trips we experience through a vortex like portal. These alone are fantastic in themselves.

The destinations created by mind are superlative. Those of the physical are insignificant by far.

Oh man, for the past few days now I haven't gotten close to that state, I keep waking up way too quickly for some reason. I always get a feeling to move or even stretch, either that or I'll forget my goals and pick my mobile phone up to check the time. :(

I hate it when this happens, I become solid on a technique and I accidentally stop doing it until I forget what I'm doing. >_<
