Title: Water fountain under bed = strange dreams
Post by: Anonymous on March 28, 2003, 13:33:49
I have no idea what's going on with the fountain but I wonder... is it by your head, your feet, or in the middle under your bed? Try moving it to see what happens again. Also, try using holy water in the fountain.

Holy water is water that has been blessed in the name of Jesus christ by a priest.

Basically thats it.

"Holy water is water that has been blessed in the name of Jesus christ by a priest." well, anyone with faith in God really, but i guess i'll not get into the semantics of it... [|)]

try moving it down to your feet; maybe you'll get falling dreams [}:)] just kidding. lol[:o)]

Holy water blessed by priest. I found out to day that anyone can bless anything. Just dedicate it to the father, mother and son. I was told that it just sounds better coming from a priest. It's something we are taught to believe. Some will tell you that's it's the words which is considered formula. You will also hear it's the intent which blessing it in their name is for a good purpose.

well it really depends on some stuff. first off, a real priest asking God's blessing in faith is probably going to get a lot more potency out of it if God does bless it.

next, a human w/o religious beliefs can bless stuff using a form of "divine" energy (positive, counter to negative, whatever you want to call it).

just so you know.

I am interested to see if there is any effect due to using holy water instead of "normal" water. Would this be misusing holy water? I talked to an accupuncturist who captured a peaceful feeling in her room by placing four cups of water, one at each corner of the room. At the end of the day she replaces the water in the cups. When I walked into the room, I definitely noticed a peaceful feeling. The point of her doing this was to keep the negative energies from stressed out patients from energetically polluting the room. I thought I might try this in my room, but my mother said that using holy wather (which the accupuncturist was NOT using) in this manner would be misusing it. Is this true? Why or why not?

If you don't keep a priest handy you could purify the water yourself as Kakkarot and Criminalmind suggested. You could do this with a combination of the intent to make the water pure and channeling this intent with a visualisation. For example sit near the water and imagine intense divine energy pouring into your body from above your head, but REALLY feel that it IS divine energy and in fact it should make you feel different. Then again with your imagination feel the divine energy being directed down your finger tips into the water. This isn't a rigid method or anything, so be creative if you like. If you like after doing something similar to the above you could direct the same energy down into your dominant hand and keeping your index finder just above the water draw a holy or protective symbol, a pentagram perhaps. If you are connecting with the divine energy source there is no reason why you should consider yourself any less 'holy' than a priest. You can also purify water with salt but who knows how well that's gonna go down with the fountain [:)]

enderwiggin: just so you know, holy means "to set apart for a purpose" in greek (and this is relevant if you use the bible as a reference because the new testament of the bible was written in greek). english has changed it to mean something regarding divinity.

but really, meditation is used for spiritual enlightenment as well as more mundane uses (like relaxing before bed), so why would blessed water be misused if it is doing something goodly? this should actually be an excellent use of a blessing.

fenris: "you are connecting with the divine energy source there is no reason why you should consider yourself any less 'holy' than a priest." true that. actually, most "priests" i have met aren't even very goodly/holy/rightgeous, so really a mere human title doesn't really say much for a person.

and the whole reason that people would even go to priests (as far as i can figure) is that priests are "supposed to be" more in tune with divine energies or the Divinity itself. so if you are in tune with such, you can do the same as they who are supposed to be in tune with such.

Yeah, I figured as much. My mom was raised staunch catholic. I was spared such a misguidance. That would explain why she would think holy water would be misused in this manner- she's probably too caught up in rituals. She's nice and all, but she's got a lot to learn spiritually.

Usually any sort of water is a sign of protection and purity. Running water generates this energy and repels negative entities(Negs).

That is why I doubt the presence of a Neg, except for one that can telepathically interfere with your now-vivid dreams. There is also the possibility of an Undine at work, as they can be quite demonic sometimes. Usually though the Undine would listen if you told it/asked it to leave.

Though I'm not sure how you'd communicate with it....

Never heard of an Undine before. What is it exactly?

I have a cross which rests above my head on the wall next to my bed. I don't know why but I still get strange dreams anyway. And I still feel weird at night sometimes, as if there's something else in the room. Does the material of which the cross is made make a difference?

I'm okay now. Still having vivid dreams every night, but nothing nasty. Maybe I repelled a neg, but it took a few days to shake?

Fat Turkey - you've got me interested now, what is a Undine?

having a cross itself does nothing: it's like having a plank of wood above your head. the cross is symbolic in christianity but a cross in and of itself is merely an object. you can try enchanting it for protection.

and i think an undine is a water elemental.

Yes Kakkarot you're right. An Undine is a water-elemental spirit. I'm not sure exactly how they look, but they are usually seen as being female, and naked. According to a lot of cultures and myths, the Undine is seen to be quite demonic in nature every now and then, but it usually means well.

About the neg leaving, that's probably the most likely thing that happened. Sometimes Negs can react quite "violently"(for lack of a better word) to countermeasures, and cause quite a bit of psychic attack before they decide to leave.

Well I'm glad you sorted out your neg problems, I still have my own to deal with [B)]

I have just moved my running water fountain under my bed to see if it would affect my sleep.

And it has! I have been having a lot of vivid dreams ever since, most of them slightly negative. Like robbing a shop, then feeling the guilt of doing it. Or turning into a raging angry creature.

Any idea what is going on here? Should I turn off the fountain?
