Title: How Do You Relate Dark Music To Spiritually?
Post by: PlasmaAstralProjection on November 30, 2020, 06:47:27
Hi everyone, I've been thinking lately on how I can relate my taste for dark heavy music to the spiritual. Is there any place or reference for dark heavy music in the spiritual? Or there is no place for it? For instance I can listen to some types of old rap music and use that as a reference point for a life separated from the God for a lack of truth. Not to say that is the only way to view rap. I can enjoy it for what it is too. Anyway..

Note most of the songs I listen to are chill and laid back. But I do occasionally listen to dark music.

This is the song that inspired me to create this thread.

As lame as it sounds, basically you can relate by connection so to speak. Its like connecting to the 'dark' part of you and it feels kinda good. Its like being a somewhat outcast, and vibing with that whole concept even though generally people do not want to be the outcast. It's like befriending the outcast, except more lonely cause you are just befriending yourself.

A somewhat appreciation for what they go through.  Ofc its just an example. It could be anything.

There is also another vibe people may get, and it's a somewhat 'power' vibe. Like harnessing dark energy. Not to do anything with evil intent per say. But to be able to control or feel like you can.

Also I think a key point to be able to vibe with dark music is to not judge, or push it away. You may be filled with anxiety and such, but once you kinda accept "this is just who I am." It feels a whole lot better and you're eagerness to change is at ease, for the moment. '''

For me, it was like "It is how it is..." pulls out a cig and just gaze into space typa feel. Cowboy Bepop style

Does listening to this music relax you?  If it does, then it's "spiritual" to you.

Just about anything can be spiritual.  It's HOW you interact with something which defines it.

The motherese of "dark music" has been keeping children happy for centuries...

"London Bridge is Falling Down"
(1744  builders believed that it must be built on a foundation of human sacrifice)

"Three Blind Mice"
(1805 Bishops burned at the stake)

"Jack and Jill"
(1765 Beheadings)

"Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush"
(1594 Female prisoners, who were exercised around a mulberry tree.)

Mary, Mary Quite Contrary"
(1744 Silver bells and cockle shells are torture devices, not garden ornaments.)

"Ring Around the Rosie"
(1665 Great Plague of London)
