Title: waking up jolted/racing heart beat
Post by: MarsZM on June 26, 2021, 04:44:41
hey everybody. i had a quick question if any of you have experienced this. i will try to explain the best i can. every so often (especially lately) i will have VERY VIVID dreams. A lot of these feel like low awareness obes. i will have an intense experience and then wake up from it feeling very jolted. everytime this happens i wake up and lay there and brace myself because i feel a intense surge (almost like an adrenaline rush) shoot up and my heart beat starts going like crazy and i get dizzy and have to take like 12 huge deep breaths to calm my body down.

i cant stress enough i am not having any fear. they experiences are just causing me to be severely overwhelmed. for example... i had an experience i was flying out of body in the middle of a desert. it was really cool! it started becoming very lucid. i would glide on the ground and then look at the sun which was very bright and actually felt pain.... like you would if you looked at it in this reality. right when i looked into the sky my consciousness shifted within a split second to a view from above... looking down to where i was on the ground in the desert... but i was at the height of a passenger plane. this jolted me really bad and i woke up in bed.... and felt sick. i felt the adrenaline rush come to me and my heart felt like it was gonna pound out of my chest. after about 30 seconds my body feels normal again. but this is so uncomfortable. I had another experience i was on the top of a very very tall building and i looked over the edge in my dream. i got massive vertigo in my dream and woke up like my eyes wouldn't be able to focus on objects right even. like an alarm clock will sway from left to right sometimes accompanied by a headache. it's almost like i have symptoms of an astronaut thats been in space too long or something... its very uncomfortable.

when i get strong visions i can get really bad headaches. same when i go out of body. Why? i shift consciousness back here with a screaming headache.

last night i had a dream i was looking at this object in space. (i cannot explain to you the size of it.... it was scary big. it looked like the sun but it was right in my face and started making this "ommmmmm ommmmmmmm ommmmmmm" vibration sound and the experience was so intense i felt the largeness of whatever it was like i was part of it and it was too big.... it got bigger as it got closer to me so imagine seeing jupiter in front of you and then "the size of jupiter enters your mind all at once within seconds" it was very uncomfortable...  i woke up.... and braced myself because when i wake up fast like that i feel that surge start in my stomach and then my heart beat and body... once again gets really "jolted" i guess is the way to explain it. Maybe i am waking up too fast and its causing a jolt in my body which causes my body to just trying to calibrate again is the best way i can explain.

but guys this is no joke the sensations i get in obe are just as real as here. and when i can feel pain etc too.

has this happened to anybody else? :/ i have near lucid dreams almost everynight so im no stranger to vivid dreams but sometimes its just so intense it's causing severe physical body symptoms. i wake up jolted and almost in shock with some experiences. ESPECIALLY if it involves heights. None of these are negative in nature its just way too intense.... i cannot even begin to explain. One time i was meditating and i felt my mind like it was expanding into infinity and it wasn't going to stop.... like my mind was stretching beyond comprehension and all i saw was blackness but it got bigger and bigger and bigger and felt if i went any further my mind would explode. it was painful. i have meditated before and the space in front of me gets large and its so pleasant.... this was VERY different. It was not a blissful experience.... i am totally open to experiencing the oneness but that experience actually hurt...

i am not fearful... or i would stop. this stuff hurts... and in turn effects my body. was hoping someone could give some advice thanks! If we really arent even in our bodies to begin with why is my physical body being so effected after these experiences?

Another time i had an obe and it felt like something grabbed my legs and started swinging me across my room as fast as possible. Let me paint you a picture. you know how fast a helicopter rotor is? That's how fast i started being swung in my room.... i felt like my body was gonna rip apart (it felt like my physical body too) i screamed bloody murder for it to stop and eventually couldnt breathe. i woke up gasping for air and my room was "spinning" or rocking back and fourth. it took my body a minute to calibrate again. and after that i couldnt even meditate for months. it was terrible. wtf is this???????? why does nobody else report these things?

I don't feel in danger.... (althought the being swung as fast as possible i was sure i was gonna die) if i had a heart problem i would be concerned.... but i dont. other than that i want to keep exploring and i am hoping these experiences stop because i am learning nothing from them

Oh boy, you are very hyper-sensitive. Ask. Ask that your experiences be toned down a bit.

I used to also have very intense experiences with things that were just plain disgusting like blood and guts and seeing disease and such. These were not scary experiences for the most part I just didn't feel I needed to 'see' everything so up close and personal so finally it dawned on me one day that maybe if I just asked for the intensity to be turned down that would help. So I asked and to my total surprise it worked. I still have the same experiences but the 'shock' element has been removed.

Cody, you have always come across as being, as Nameless says, "Hyper-sensitive". This gives new meaning to the term "jolted awake or jolted out of you sleep".

You have been a member on the Astral Pulse here for about as long as I have. Both of us have had a name change here in the past as well. I know you already know about the Sleep Paralysis sticky that Bedeekin created here years ago. In it, under my past name "Lionheart", I shared a experience where I became aware in SP, felt my legs rising, then was spun upside down like some kind of spinning top. upwards, through my bedroom ceiling. Bedeekin made a joke about me reliving a "birthing" memory.

I too have very vivid LDs almost nightly. They disorient me so much that once in awhile I will experience "vertigo" as well. This is especially evident when at the end of a Dream, as I am about to awake, things seem to "spiral" out of control. I then need a few minutes after awaking to catch my bearings again. Because of just being in a very vivid Dream scenario the mood or emotions I may have been experiencing in that scenario seem to linger on into my waking life as well. This is why I can fully understand why all people do not remember their Dreams. It has lasting effects on you and yes, some of those effects can be "physical" as well as mental/emotional too.

You should bring this up to your Doctor, if you are still seeing one. Your "anxiety" can exasperate this too.

I can assure you those experiences are not that unusual or maybe that is just us
When I first trying to induce LD/AP from waking state. I was getting these dives, but was depending on how much time you can hold your consciousness. If you can hold long enough without falling asleep, you can get a Full Dive. That can give you a lot of transcending moments or literally can make you brainfart.
My typical full dive was composed of the following steps:
1)Relaxing body and mind
2)Getting buzzing ears, which get more intense as time pass (like thousand bees)
...
3)Body getting very numb/heavy
...
4)starting to get Hypnagogic => if i fall asleep here i am getting a LD
...
5)Buzzing starting to turn in voices, which gets more clear as time pass. They are talking to each other, but can start to talk to me too and I can respond to them.
Once I hear a man voice that was threatening me:
crazy voice: I am going to kill you, I am going to kill your entire family, kill kill killllll....
me: shut your trap
crazy voice: I am not gonna stop until I make you crazy and stop you from proceeding forward.
...
6) Starting to feel intense vibration all over my body, its like my teeths are going to fall. If I get through this, I am getting one of the two options
...
7a)Scary stuff appears.(ugly butt six legged creature with big teeth and many eyes which crawling on my legs toward my head or a shadow figure sitting on my bed, start to suffocating me. Both times waking up screaming.....

7b) As if my limbs and body are melting down or bending into impossible shapes...
...
8)I am falling backward into a void and I am spinning very intense
...
9)I am landing in darkness/emptiness, I don't have a body and I am composed of pure awareness, a single thought.
From here I can find myself at strange and more stranger places.
For good or worse those stopped after a while, now I remember them just as funny moments

I always thought that this kind of stuff happened to all of us. But after years of personal inquiries and research through talking to many, many people, I have found that it seems to be "just us", the "1% ers" that seem to experience these very odd things. At least we seem to be the ones that are "consciously aware" of these circumstances and occurrences.

I used to ignore them too, like they were "flukes". But you can only be slapped so many times in the head before you finally wake up and smell the coffee, lol!  :-D

I also thought that I'm in those 1% at first, but realized after a lot of reading of other people experiences that I'm actually in 0.1% group, it is bAd to be me :-P

Lol, welcome to the club!  :-) It's not bad to be in it. You just need to find the underlying purpose for those "bad" experiences. There is always a reason!  :-)

My answer may also serve to answer the other thread, but I see this as NP 'conditioning'...

I went through nearly all the same experiences described, but possibly not in such a condensed fashion; my experiences of this nature were probably over two years. So, as difficult as mine were at times, I can see how seemingly overwhelming these might be for you Alex77 in a more condensed period. They are part of the NP territory you need to move through.

I think that many different things are being learned-

Understanding of fear and other emotions; control.

Possibly energy body development is taking place; different perspectives from different energy frequencies.

Chakra energization and development- the pounding heart is indicative of heart chakra activity (I thought I was having a heart attack many times)

This is what teaches you to open your awareness to new understandings and perspectives on how the NP works and how it actually affects you. This is a freaky and somewhat bewildering time of experience, but I and others have been through it. Ask your Higher Self for some support and trust that you will work through it and eventually gain a new and greater understanding. You will.

I'm sorry is this reply targeting me, because I didn't say anywhere I was terrified or it was an uncomfortable experience, I just said that it is not so uncommon to experience what OP is experiencing. Maybe you must target this to OP aka MarsZM!

I didn't say they are bad, where did you see that :? I only said they are thrilling/fascinating. :-P I was saying that I also have other type of experiences which put me into the 0.1% category, where one feel too lonely to be there.

Lol what are you talking about, I mean targeted/directed at me, why are you jumping like this :? Besides I had those experiences 8 years ago when first started using techniques for direct entry like your phasing, before that mine experiences were random and spontaneous in nature. I just hinted at you that maybe your post will be more reassuring to the OP, you just got me wrong.

After I experience them for a while I found that those sensation are primary by product of we staying conscious while our body falling asleep, we are not aware of them when falling asleep normally because we are already unconscious. I think even the so desired vibrations are not a sign that we vibrate at higher frequency, but just another side effect. After I acknowledged that I stopped having them, sometimes I still getting falling sensation which can be stressful, but I think that is happening because our brain actually think we are falling(because our body muscles relaxing) and this is a warning mechanism. Later I started to integrate this mechanism into techniques of different purposes.

"I also thought that I'm in those 1% at first, but realized after a lot of reading of other people experiences that I'm actually in 0.1% group, it is bAd to be me  :-P" / Your words, not mine. You didn't say that it was causing loneliness in your reply above. All you said is "it is bAd to be me". That could mean a number of things. You are not alone. We all have felt that way before.

Let me give you a bit of helpful advise, you can get more bees with sugar, than you can salt. Your replies to very experienced and well educated people here recently, Moderators to boot, have come across as being a bit crass. You won't get many more replies here if that keeps up. You are slowly alienating yourself from others here that are attempting to help you.

Where I stated I need help, are you my psychiatrist now  :? I'm very experienced and educated myself thank you, I didn't come at this forum for that reason, I came to compare my experiences to others, to share experiences, to share what I found, maybe even to help you. From what I see everyone is a moderator around here, no users. As moderators are you all just looking from a high horse.

QuoteYou are slowly alienating yourself from others

As I said, it is bAd to be Me, aka 0.1% group.

This article talks about 10 possible causes. I think that healthy living habits can improve the problem of morning headache.
