Hello,

I read Major Tom's post it was either in the FAQ or the permanent topics... but I'd like to hear more if any one has more time to explain.

Hi Froglet,
Don't know if you'll be checking back here or not, but I'll give it an  attempt. Hope it helps you or someone a little. Not having seen Major Tom's post, maybe I'll just be re-hashing the same things. I've personally experienced 3 different states of being, but I'm sure there are more, based on other members' posts here. Read some posts and eventually you'll see plenty of good descriptions.

The 3 I know of: 1. Being alert like normal/realtime except everything is much brighter and clearer. This happens in an AP attempt, as opposed to APs that happen unintentionally. In this case, 2. things are often foggy/muddy and if you wake up things are a bit confusing and it could be a few minutes before you realize you were out and things become clear. While you are out accidentally, you might also suddenly become aware that you're out and think it's your physical body you're in for a minute or so. 3. Seeing things through someone else's eyes, as if you were in their body and saw what they saw.

As for sensations, they can be however you expect them to be as a result of living in a body for so long. This forum is loaded with posts describing these, one of the major reasons for having an AP forum to begin with. There's no substitue for experience, though. Until you have your first conscious AP experience, it's like trying to get an idea of what a banana split tastes like from a picture.

Happy trails. ~

thanks for the reply,  I'm afraid that's not exactly what I'm asking... you may  still know about what I'm asking.  I know that in the physical we have hearing, sight, touch, taste, and smell.  I've heard other mention extra senses that we have in more "astral" or non-physical focus.  So I was wondering what people have identified them to be.

I do appreciate the reply, I was waiting.

I have seen frank say we have 9 inner senses. Seth (a channeled entity) says the same:

QuoteInner senses – deep intuitions or what's commonly called the sixth sense as a complement to the five physical senses. I use the term hyperception to describe the same set of characteristics. Used primarily by the inner ego, the outer ego can learn to manipulate these through a spectrum of altered neurological focus that results from any authentic type of yoga:

inner vibrational touch
psychological time
perception of past, present, and future
conceptual sense
cognition of knowledgeable essence
innate working knowledge of the basic vitality of the universe
expansion or contraction of the tissue capsule
disentanglement from camouflage
diffusion by the energy personality [essence]

Hmm. I guess I still don't know what you mean. Most of the items on the 'Frank' list seem to be more 'new perception' or concept understanding to me than relating to extended senses beyond or in addititon to the typical 5. Unless tente cleared it up for you or someone else can help now that the post is renewed, I can only suggest reading. Best of luck. ~
