floating raft

Hello everyone, I've been into the subject for more than 8 months by now. And so far my results include 3 to 4 EPs and a few successful LDs.But none of my exits were consciously induced, they were from between a sleep state owing to a S/P or from a dream.
Lately i got messed up in lot of things, that i hardly had time to practice. Now I'm having plenty of free time and I've resumed my attempts. And my aim is to induce a conscious exit.

For me over these months practice has enabled me to relax quicker and i reach the vibrational state pretty fast. But my problem seem to be that i don't have a proper exit technique devised yet. All i try is getting up forcing through my chest, when i have the vibrations. sometimes i had success but mostly it's so hard to move your Ethereal body this way and end getting up physically.

Advice needed for exiting.
Thanks.

Some exit techniques/methods you can try are:

Roll-Out: Roll to the left or right of where your laying down but don't physically move of course, just use your mind to re-create the feeling of rolling. Roll as you would in the Physical (if you want, you can use visualization).

Lift-Out: Focus on your body become lighter and lighter with each breath you take. As your body is becoming lighter, feel your body rising higher and higher.

ROPE (created by Robert Bruce): Focus straight ahead as your lying down. Imagine the feeling of climbing a rope without visualizing it. Keep climbing regardless of any sensations that you may be experiencing as a result of this action.

Here's a link that (I just found recently) has plenty of exit techniques for you to try: http://www.scribd.com/doc/11483227/66-Astral-Projection-Techniques

Good Luck!

I just used the "floating" technique where I just layed there picturing myself rising up and it worked perfectly. While you feel like you are floating up just think to your self "I can see" or something along those lines and it will give you vision. Last time I just thought about opening my eyes over and over and then they opend. Good luck

You might be getting stuck because you're too absorbed with the visual concept of your "etheral body" breaking from your physical one. You get there and think about your body by asking what you must do to leave it. Try just flowing with the vibrations and intensifying them through focus. You'll project from there.

Thanks for the link Propazhuh, but i already have the '66 astral projection techniques' with me. I have tried a few of them, rather the simpler ones and the Gir-ti-tak breathing mentioned in the pdf helped me to reach a heightened state of awareness. A very-relaxed-energy aware state and i would recommend everyone to give it a trial.

Then about the exit methods, as i've already mentioned, all the 4 times that I've got of body it was unintentional, or in a way i was just making use of the chance. Apart from that when ever i consciously try to work out an OBE i usually a drift into a relaxed-semi aware state and on the verge of sleep suddenly i realize the purpose/intention [that i'm lying down to project] and it gives me a 'jerk' and a set of vibes which may last a few good 30 seconds. When i say jerk dont think that i'm jerking physically, jerk is kind of an energy awakening, but I'm not sure whether the sudden vibes caused by it are the real vibrations required for an exit.

Also I've heard that sufficient energy is required for separation to possible. Can anyone tell me any good method which i can adopt before beginning every attempt, so that my enegy levels are satisfactory to induce a separation on a later stage.

Thank you.

I think the problem is that I get in a hurry, and want to get out before the vibes die out. Some times I've managed to get my upper part of the body out but then when i tried to move my leg out, i actually pulled my physical legs and attempt failed.

Guys my exit technique is rogue, I'm a mad man breaking his chains when i try to exit. I guess i need to change my style.

Sorry, I am not a big fan of the terms EXIT, or OUT OF BODY.  I have done this stuff thousands of times.  I think folks are too quick to assume that they are leaving their body.  There are lots of techniques that lead one to feel and perceive that they are exiting, but I think it helps to not concentrate on exiting so much as to concentrate on a proper state of mind.  Basically, if you get to the vibrational state you are almost there.  Often, you might even be closer than you realise.  I recommend that when you hit the vibrational state, that you concentrate on feeling love and bliss, and that you let yourself relax and feel this strongly.  For me, after doing this I tend to slip quickly into the OBE, but that is after many years of doing it.  I think you "might" feel yourself start to fall asleep or to feel more relaxed.  I suggest that you try to sit up from that state.  Often, you can get up into the OBE when you thought you were perhaps awake.  At least, that happens to me.  Anyway, I see this as all about focus and mental state.  And, again, while it feels that we depart once our senses are off ... it is very hard to know what is happening.  Perhaps, we are just floating there and being presented with sensory inputs from a galactic bug that is preparing our souls for a tasty meal at our deaths. :-)  Anyway, I am joking and there are lots of reasons to feel that one knows better, but I think folks too quickly accept what they perceive as exactly as they perceive ... and, if you do that you will likely be making it harder for yourself because if you buy in to the whole thing, you will be more readily influecned to run amuck down a silly dream rather than to focus on what you are doing and seeing with a kind of inquisitive view.
