Hi there and welcome to astral pulse.

I  think that you should continue with what you are doing.  You are already having some results and I have known people try for years before getting results like you, although I know how frustrating it can be when you are first trying it.

I'm no expert on AP, only had a couple myself.  But it took me months of trying for one before I actually got one (if you are interested you could read more about my first AP on my site, link in siggy).

But I think it sounds like you are doing well.  I really enjoyed the William Buhlman books, have you read those?

Best of luck to you.

Hello!  Welcome to the site!

I think the voice paralysis is quite normal and something that I have had myself.  It can be ultra freaky teamed up with the flailing about and not really feeling like you are in control.

But hey, the first experience after a long time is so exciting!!  And I wish you the best of luck with your efforts x

It's a really interesting theory, but unfortunately I'm not all that experienced to make a call on it.  It does sounds like you got the awareness but remained in the same level that you were dreaming if that is possible.  I wonder if you had demanded to go to a higer dimention that would have worked?

Anyway, hope you are recovering from your cold x

Haha, I was expecting a really interesting topic... what happened next??

That sounds like an awesome projection for a beginner!  You were already getting more control within the few experiences you had.

Demaning clarity (like someone else mentioned) can be helpfull.  Just try demanding what you want, if you want to fly - just demand it :o)

Good luck with your astral travels x

Hi, nice to meet you.

I'm fairly new to Tarot and still on a steep learning curve so I can't answer any of your Q's.  But I just wanted to note that I am pregnant and since getting pregnant I have not been able to do anything with my cards, they don't seem to make any sense at all!!

I just wondered if you had ever heard of this problem before?

Do you think it is possible for your physical body to be harmed during an OBE?  Say you came across an entity that tried to harm you in the Astral planes would your physical body show some reaction?

I've also heard people say that you can be harmed mentally, how would this happen???  :?

I just thought I would post my first real OBE.  I call this my first because I had realised that I was out of body before but panicked and went straight back to my body.

I had gone to sleep as usual and was then half waking up.  I half opened my eyes and looked round the room.  I then closed my eyes again and tried to go back to sleep, but then it suddenly hit me!  I wasn't in my bedroom now, I was in my bedroom that I grew up in when I was a teenager.

I tried not to panic and told myself that I should open my eyes slowly and if I was still in the bedroom then I was out of body.  I opened my eyes and I was still there.  I tried not to get too excited and thought that I should get out of bed, and as soon as I thought that I was stood beside my bed.  I wanted to fly but didn't quite know how and I started kind of hovering above the ground.  I found that if I kicked my legs I could move about the room hovering over the floor and could go higher if I kicked faster.  Kind of like swimming in the air.  I noticed the bedroom door open and went out on to the landing.  My cat was sat on the floor and looked at me in that kind of un-interested way that cats do, lol.

I heard a noise coming from the bedroom and hovered my way back in there, I realised that the noise was coming from outside the window.  I went over to the window and looked out and there were some people walking along the road (it was dark outside).  I wondered who they were and felt a flicker of fear.  And that flicker of fear was all it took to send me back to my body!  I heard a rush that sounded like a thundering waterfall and then I was opening my eyes back in bed in my regular bedroom.  The noise in my ears faded.

I felt so excited that I had managed it, I still haven't managed to consciously get out of body.  The one other timeit happened I sort of woke up out of body too.

Anyway, I just thought I would share that one with you all.

Try doing it gradually, like a low wattage lamp and then a hall way light and so on.

Maybe you could also spend some time trying to find out exactly WHY you fear the dark.

I've had a very mixed response.  Sometimes I have been very surprised and people who I thought would be sceptics have been very interested.

My boss at work is very sceptic, however he does ocassionally ask questions and doesn't ridicule so I don't mind that at all.

Hi, I am new here.  I'm 25 and live in the North of England.

I've been attempting to have OBE's for about 2 years now but have only managed it three times.  Although the three times have been wonderful and have left me wanting more!

Looking forward to meeting some like minded people.
