Frank -- I'm very interested in the comments you made about projecting to the same place over and over, and how that really solidifies the reality of the inner realms for the projecter/phaser.  My question:  How do you actually return to a place?  By focusing on the "energy signature," or a sound, or a smell, or a feeling, or all of the above?  I feel like that ability (to return to specific locales) is very essential to all sorts of tasks, but I'm not sure how to take that step.  Thanks.

My two cents:  It could have been a lucid dream AND an OBE.  Depending on your experience, ability to focus and energy level, you could shift back and forth between consensual experiences and your individual dream experiences without really knowing it.  You don't have to rise out of your physical body to go to the astral plane, you can also "shift" into it without going into the real time plane.  It would be hard to check what experiences were subjective and what were objective (that is, to prove to yourself you had an objective experience in API you would have to find someone who saw you there, or observe details of the island that match what other people have independently observed) but not impossible.  Another possibility (if you had a lot of control) is to befriend a disincarnate entity (i.e., ex-human) who you could visit time and again, and who could explain to you what you did last time you saw them.  Just thought I'd throw out a couple of observations/opinions.  Good luck! Frank (and Tisha) thanks for the advice.  I'm definitely more aware of how eager I am to "categorize" and "particularize" something before I have the impressions to justify it.  Having said that, my patience isn't that great either, which leads me to jump in with my latest try at Frank's object:  some sort of plant.

OK, Frank -- in the spirit of FUN (and not because I have any demonstrated ability in this area) here goes:  i saw the glass pyramid thing-y at first, then it turned into some sort of bird, maybe a duck.  Then I ran a second check, and came up with a round, green ashtray, with little grooves around it, around the rim.  Was I a mile off, or two miles?  Hopefully Tisha won't read this before she takes a crack at it.  I wouldn't want to throw off her perfectly good impressions...

One more thing:  try to remember your dreams -- I've had incredible lucid dreams and projection-type experiences that I totally forgot about until a random event or thought triggers the memory.  Keeping a dream diary (when I've been consistent about it) has definitely improved my recall, and I've found that I'm doing a lot more on the dream/astral plane(s) than I thought I was, but I hadn't been able to remember it.  It's been helpful for me.  Also, for what it's worth,  my personal experience has tended to support the "Frank/Berry" school of just 'letting it happen'.  I have tried the "in-depth" approach to 'making' it happen, and have (mostly) failed at that approach.  I've come to believe (and have observed that) it is a natural process, as long as we 'get out of our own way', stay focused (or rather, allow yourself to be focused), and try to remember what happens afterwards.  All we're really doing is falling asleep.  Awake.
Good luck!

First off, I don't want to sound too alarmist.  Having said that, it strikes me that some of the experiences your daughter describes track Robert Bruce's descriptions of neg activities.  The classical music used as a countermeasure is one example.  It would probably be worthwhile to check out his new book "Practical Psychic Self Defense" -- at least to get an indepth treatise on the subject, and the available countermeasures.  I agree with Frank's comments about controlling one's fear.  However, there's a chance that entity in question may be more malicious, and willful, than a "typical" astral scamp.  Not showing fear may help, but if it wants to form attachments or gain greater control, it might resort to other methods.  It's possible all the talk about attachments and possession, etc, is hogwash, but it might be helpful to get PPSD and at least do a little scientific experimentation to see if the countermeasures are effective.  If music works, maybe running water, too?  It might be wise to couple the fear-based counseling with other countermeasures, to see what effect they may have.  I want to hasten to add that I haven't had much experience with really awful entities, but based on Robert's postings, it wouldn't hurt to get some 'insurance' in the form of PPSD.

Hi Frank,

I do a bit of lucid dreaming myself, and I've been following your other posts (good stuff -- very helpful).  I was wondering:  what's the best way (or even A way) to move from a lucid dream to the "consensual" areas of the astral, as opposed to the "training ground" you've mentioned.  In other words, how does one get to the "objective" areas of the astral plane so that one could interact with objects and beings that exist apart independantly of one's imagination.  In lucid dreams, I've been able to shift the scenery and float between dreams in a sort of dark void, with some sort of wind blowing on me, but I don't know if the next scene I see is "objective" or just another figment of my imagination/training ground type stuff.  I've read your posts on the "training ground", but I'm wondering what the signs are that one has entered an objective astral area.  Thanks!

Robert (and anyone else with experience in this matter),

After reading your reply to Conn re: Astral meetings, I'm curious.

(1) How would a projector enter someone's dreams?

(2) Would the dreamer necessarily remember the dream with the projector in it?

(3) Is there a way to help ensure the dreamer would remember the dream?

Thanks,

James

By the way -- love the new forums!
