Hey there,

Thought you all might wanna know that reasearchers in New York were able to trigger the astral projection sensation by stimulating a certain part of the brain.  I'm looking for an article online to back me up... one of my proffessors told the class.

I see the sparkles every once in a while.  I was scared of them for some time.  I thought I was going insane too.  Now I try to sit back and enjoy them when they appear.  Sometimes there are hundreds and they dance around my whole field of vision for 10 seconds or so.  Sometimes I just see little blips here and there.  Once I stopped thinking about all the bad stuff and psyching myself out... I realized that they are pretty darn cool.

I was just really happy afterwords.   Big smile on my face for the rest of the day.  I didn't get any depression.  I wouldn't say I had any euphoria either.  I was so happy and pumped up and amazed that I felt great... felt sharp and sober though.  Hope that answers it.

The whole OBE lasted about 20-30 seconds.  I probably got like 10-15 seconds in space.

Well I had a few experiences in the past that were close (and i thought were full-fledged projections), but this was my first real projection.  I was tryin to do phasing, but it still felt like a projection when it happened.  Anyways, after being scared for months of seeing all the scary stuff everyone talks about...  I instead find myself orbiting the earth.  It was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, and it felt so real.  I know its all in my head... and it was short lived, but alllll I needed.

I do all my practicing laying on my back.  I cannot fall asleep laying on my back, but that doesn't seem to affect my projecting/phasing negatively.  In fact, it is pretty much the only position that works for me.  It allows me to get real comfortable in my bed, but still prevents me from falling into a deep sleep like ya said.  Sweet.

You're absolutely 100% sure they were not there before your AP?

Yeap, I'll lay down and relax for 5-10 minutes.  Then I'll start looking inward/noticing.  I get lots of activity very quickly, and it isn't long before I start to have short little dreams (if anyone knows what I'm talking about).  I then do the mental rundown.  After this many times I'll fall asleep, but otherwise I "wake up" in that old trance state.  I can't seem to phase into the rundown scene like I read about people doing.

Hey y'all,

If one is phasing properly they feel no "exit" symptoms, correct?  Or is this different for everyone?  For example...  If someone was using the trampoline rundown and phased - they would just transition right into that scene (which would be F2 I believe) with nothing in between?

I am asking because I am trying to switch to phasing coming from the old projection methods/theories (mainly Astral Dynamics).  I had mild success with the old methods.  Now when I am trying to phase, I seem to be stuck with these exit symptoms.

Do people still get into the trance state while trying to phase?..the place with all the popping sounds and seeing through eyelids.  What does the phasing model say the trance state is?  Still physical right?  Is that wider F1??  If anyone still gets in this state often... what do you do to take it to the next level with phasing?  Do people still have exit symptoms as if they were leaving the body?  Or does this go away for most people after switching to phasing.

Should I be changing something, or just continuing as I were - but keeping in mind that I'm not really projecting to plane or anything.  Rather, I am just inside me head.

I've been reading posts and the newsletters, and I'm starting to understand the Frank's phasing model... but I still feel like I'm still off in left field.  I still can't say I have had a full blown experience with projection or phasing... so maybe that's why.

Thanks to anyone who can set these things straight for me!  It really was originally going to be 1 quick phasing question... I swear.  I Don't know what happened.

Thanks again,
Kyle

I totally agree.  I've been pulling out at the last second for a couple months... but I finally just let it run its course... at least for a little bit, hehe... still freaked out after awhile

ill be back at it tomorrow though, and hopefully will go a little further.

Had my first real OBE.  I did quite of bit of energy work and was pretty tired already (only 4 hours of sleep, followed by 2 hours of lab work).  Then i started phasing in and out of dream and RTZ.   Eventually after working in deep trance on these energy blocks in my groin/thigh areas that I've always been dealing with... finally i lifted off... i kind of tried to stop it, because i get freaked out by the loss of reality (such has been the case for the last 3 or 4 months).  After a bit i just let it go.... and started floating away.   It was so peaceful when i let it.  I started floating backwards - it was like i was on a lazy river, being carried away.  After a little bit, i started to see colors, and it was like i was floating down this color tube backwards(awesome lol).   Even though it felt great and nothing scary was happening, i pulled out at this point.  hehehehe, I'm terrible... but I'm building up courage slowly but surely.

it may not even really be an obe since i didnt end up anywheres...   thats it woo!

What is it most commonly called outside these forums?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / is there a school?
April 27, 2005, 21:57:00
we ought to get a big list of people interested in starting  up a school of some sort from the forums... and just start talking about it, maybe someday someone would invest in it, i would if i had the cash... but im only 20

but heck, if we started working on it... who knows what could happen

the one major prob... folks from these forums are scattered alllll overrr the globe

anyways, you'll all probably think im silly, but i like to get excrement done  woo woo, ill be thinking

I'm sorry, but I don't see what the big deal is with the IFC document.  Could someone clearly and calmly explain it to me please?  Are you guys trying to say that the IFC/government/whatever is trying to find out who is disabled in whatever way so they can do away with them? lol... i dont get it

Go there and scroll down to the "Astral Vision" section and read about the spherical vision.  It sounds like that might be what you experienced.  I'm not sure if that automatically means you were having an OBE or not... but someone will probably post who has more experience than myself and help you out.

Let me know if that's what you think it was... I'm curious!

PS:  Welcome to the forums!!!

also, if you're new to the OBE/astral projection...  read that whole tutorial from the link above, very helpful... later!

I'd read all the sections in this:

http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=65

That is the treatise that Shzarnie mentioned above.  It's a great start.  Will clear a few things up, help you better understand what folks are speaking of here on the forums, and it will give you a few methods to try (if i'm not mistaken... sometimes i get the online document confused with his books.)

I would also read and practice this:

http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=6
(That is how to do the "energy raising" mentioned somewhere above.  That probably helped me out most of all.)

I agree with mactombs about not using techniques real heavily.  It wasn't until I gave astral projecting a rest, that I started having success.  I had stopped really trying for a week or two but remained interested and often thought about it (and continued energy raising).   I'd try everything out (and not just once)... but eventually you'll find something that works.   There are lots of different methods and ideas out there, even here on these forums (you'll see if you keep reading posts).  I'd say all are worth reading and considering... sort through it all with experience.
Good Luck.

Would you still be in the physical/F1 while viewing the entrance structures?

Thanks

I often get the swaying feeling.  I never have been shot out like that though!  Pretty cool, I'll have to experiment a bit more with the swaying... didn't realize something like that could come of it.

Hey there,

I feel this is the best place to start for all your general information:

http://www.astraldynamics.com/tutorials/?BoardID=65

Read all the parts to that tutorial and you'll have a much better understanding.

Also, explore the rest of that site.  New Energy Ways is a great method of  "Energy Raising" (which is explained within) taught on that site and is what let me to my first successes.  It is also in the tutorial section.

The places Sarah listed above are certainly great places to start looking too.

But yeap... pretty much just read read read.  There is tons of great information on this site.  After I read pretty much everything I could find online I picked up a few books for cheap off amazon.com - if you have a few bucks.

Read, practice, and post any questions & experiences on the forums!   That tutorial above will be a great first step, it is how I got my start.

Catch ya later

It may not be the greatest of advice... but its what worked for me>>

When I first started out trying to project and whatnot, I tried all the methods out there like ROPE, for example.  After a month or so I gave it a break, but continued to do Robert Bruce's New Energy Ways.  So a session for me would be laying down in my bed doing NEW and then just mind clearing mediation  back and forth between the two as long as I could.  Often I would fall asleep and then continue upon waking.  Sometimes I'd get sick of it after some time and just stop.  Projection was still constantly on my mind I just really wasn't trying to do it as much as before.  Then recently I found that suddenly when I was wavering in between sleep and awake suddenly the projection symptoms would come on by themselves.

I'm sure you've heard it before, but really just letting it go can help.  Think about it a lot, keep it on your mind.... but just relax.   You're probably familiar with NEW, but if you're not... I think that's mostly what did it for me.  I now practice it everyday for quite sometime... I can pretty much give myself what feels like a full body massage from it - i love it.   And now nearly every time I sit down and take 15 mins to do it I get projection symptoms... heavy ones(still not using a real method).

I dunno, maybe it'll help somewhat.  Pretty basic stuff I know, did it for me though.

Maybe let us know really what kind of things you've been trying?

Best of luck. Later!
Kyle

Hello,

I was reading this in the FAQ section about focus levels >>>
Quote
There is some confusion and uncertainty regarding the focus 12 through 21 states and differentiating them appropriately. Frank, our in-house expert on phasing, and several others have noted how the transition from focus 10 to 12 is often characterized by seeing several abstract forms and and colors, often very quickly followed by a 3d effect in the blackness surrounding you. Hence, there is some controversy on the exact delination between focus 12, 15 and 21. Perhaps the 3D blackness of focus 21 can be said to be more expansive to the extent that it starts to touch upon 'astral locations' beyond focus 21.

(Just wanted to add something in here - I'm not all to familiar with focus levels and phasing... Just started reading up on them a few days ago.  That's when I happened to stumble across the quote above - which caught my attention. I have read a great deal on astral projection, but these focus levels and phasing are relatively new.  Anyways....)

That area that I bolded is what I'm really looking at. A dozen or so times in the last 3 or 4 years I have had experiences that I feel could be described well by the 3D blackness. These have happened when I have lied down for naps or sometimes when I'm going to sleep. They happen right away, usually within a few seconds of closing my eyes. I do not have to meditate or raise energy or anything of that sort.

There seems to be these shapes surrounding me like you said. There is no color - just blackness... very vague outlines if anything. It seems like they grow and then shrink to levels that my mind cannot comprehend. They will stretch out to infinity, and then warp to infinitely small (brings a black hole to mind - when the shapes get super small... not that i've been in a black hole but...) It feels like they are somehow expanding/contracting in a fourth dimension beyond length/width/height... and I can sense it, but not really comprehend or understand just whats going on.

When I focused on the shapes for some time I would start too loose sense of my body. It was an amazing but very frightening feeling at the same time (I knew nothing about OBE at the time). This hasn't happened again since I learned about OBE, phasing, projection and such - but I am eager for another chance. I assume I should go with the flow if it happens again?

Is this the same thing being described in that post/quote from above? If so, any idea why it would happen so suddenly for me? I can not will it to happen, it just randomly occurs here and there. When it does happen though, it does so without effort. What does following through with it lead too?  Any other general info on it?

Got kind of long... lots of questions there too, sorry. If anyone has any ideas/answers/info I'd love to hear it. Thanks for your time - it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks y'all

Hello everyone

The other day I was in a hotel in Chicago and was pretty tired so I decided to lay down on the bed and do some energy work.  This was during daylight.  Now I haven't successfully projected before, but I have come very close.  I tend to pull myself out of it at the last second.  Anyways... after maybe 20 minutes of mediation/energy raising suddenly I could see through closed eyelids.  This has only happened to me once before and it was for only a few seconds.  From reading Astral Dynamics my best guess would be that I had Real Time Zone sight.  Everything was murky brown/white colored.  I seemed to be "seeing" from where my physical eyes would be.  Suddenly from the left side of my vision a white ghost/spirit something or rather came floating by(I couldn't adjust my vision, left, right, up, down or otherwise.... it was just stuck in one place).  I wasn't scared of it (which surprised me), and instead I focused on it and tried to say "Hello".  It stopped when it was right in front of me... just beyond the foot of the bed.  It was clothed in robes/rags, that sort of thing, and I couldn't see a face.  Nothing happened then so I was sort of baffled for a second... it just stared at me.    Then it flew at me real quick, and I woke up.  I noticed  an energy rush right when "collided" with me.   All in all I thought the whole thing was amazing.  The most vivid experience I have had to date.  I doubt this is really something out of the ordinary for a veteran projector... but it's new for me!!!  In my ponderings I have come up with a few theories.  First, I thought it was real time zone vision, and I saw a spirit.  Then I thought maybe I had projected, and the "spirit" was my projected double reentering my body(though I had no vision or memory of being that second spirit/body/thing).  The energy rush at the last second was maybe the energy symptoms associated with reentry?  I briefly pondered that maybe I had become possessed...lol, but I'm not worried.  I feel great, nothing out of the ordinary has happened since, and the spirit didn't seem hostile or anything of that sort.

Well, got kind of long... but that's that.  It was a most amazing experience for me.  If anyone has any ideas of exactly what it was - I'd love to hear em!!  I am pretty much a rookie at OBE of any kind.  I know this doesn't compare to some of the wild stories I read on the forums... but it sure blew my mind for awhile!!!   Thanks much!

Take care,
Kyle

i am going to try around noon central  u.s. time tommorow...  i think this idea is awesome, and doing these API weekends monthly is great!  maybe even more often, every other weekend?
