Hi all,
Here's a project I think many of the forum members will resonate with. It has an interesting back story, please ref. Fire The Grid III at the same website.

Hi all,
I'd like to report on my experience. I joined this forum six weeks ago, looking for info on this phenomena as research for a novel I'm writing. So: zero to OBE(?) in six weeks.

I'm sure I didn't follow any one protocol, but I rather used a hodgepodge of techniques gleaned from various sources.

Anyway, having achieved Monroes 'Level D', I attempted to focus my consciousness outside myself, per Monroe, at about a foot out.  At this point I became aware of a series of flashes, or sparks within my field of perception. I was feeling quite dissembodied and fully relaxed at this point (and had been for about 30 minutes).  I was excited to realize this was a new experience to me, obviously induced by this attempt. I then started to encourage myself, to willfully move into an OBE. Here things get a bit 'un-linear', in that my next perception was of being down the hall in my study; and now this is where I'm am, sitting at my PC desk . . . I am seeing on the display some ads for performing an OBE - 'click here' - and so I do. A new screen pops up, there is a display, basically in shades of red, moving and roiling on the screen. Additionally there is a type of music swelling and growing louder, that I felt in the moment (now, even more excited) was actually going to force an OBE.

And then, the new experience: I open my eyes - my perception is inches off my desk, I'm looking at the wood grain. OK. Right here, I'm totally aware of what's happening. So I believe this would then be categorized as a lucid dream. And then, widening my field-of-view, I 'will' myself to start moving around my study. I believe at this point I am now in an OBE. I am in total control of what to do, where to go.

I now have to admit I didn't do much with the opportunity - I moved here and there (basically floating); I went up and inspected one of the can lights in the ceiling. I went over to the railing (my study is actually a loft), but I was fearful of going totally over it, I only went about 1/2 way. And then I had this great idea: I would mark the fact this experience had actually happened as I remembered it so that I could verify it the next day. Knowing my wife wouldn't be amused with this, but it was all I could think of, I spit a little touch of spittle against the bottom of the window. And then I felt I was done and I have no further recollection.

The following morning I remembered everything, but it became obvious that little things were different - the window wasn't exactly where it had been last night (no spittle, as the window wasn't there in that spot) and several items that are in my loft were not there (potted tree, chair), or they were in slightly different locations during the experience than they actually are.

I would love any comments or feedback on my experience. I should state that I have had three lucid dreams prior to this, years back. The point I mark (above) of opening my eyes felt different, I was very aware. In my three prior lucid dreams the fact that I was experiencing a lucid dream slowly crept up on me. Here I felt very much in the drivers seat immediately.
Thank you,
Vitruvian

Hi all,
I want to introduce myself and say I am glad I've discovered both Adrian and his writings, and this group.

It is nice to be able to commingle with like-minded people exploring positive paths.
