Hello guys, it's been (once again) quite a while since I posted or practiced seriously. I'm getting back to it, and I already got some nice results after only one week of tryouts (1 hour daily after work). I used to practice phasing, which seems to be the most natural way for me to succeed. The thing is, I never quite succeeded in obtaining a good level of awareness during my experiences. So I am focusing on having a more "traditional OBE" experience, and getting the feel of an exit from sleep paralysis. I wanted to discuss with you guys how that SP feels, since I am never convinced that I am in that state, and what to do when you are stuck there.

So for me, SP feels a bit like everyone describes. I will lay down and let my awareness sink in, same as if I would be sinking in water (let's say). It can feel as if I would close "my inner eyes", my awareness is not situated between my eyes anymore, I cannot pinpoint exactly where it gets to but it feels deeper inside myself, in a place that could be leveled up with my belly (but not in the physical reality). Once I get stabilised (my awareness is not trying to come back up from that same point in space), I get to the state that I identify as SP. The only thing is, I know that if will it I can still move my body. This is the part whick makes me doubt a little about my experience, but I can hear my breathing and I get a strong feeling that my body is asleep. In such a state, if I let go of just a little (my awareness,) I get sucked into mini dream scenarios. Such was the phasing I used to practice in my old OBEing days. My body is numb, I sometimes get those vibrations in my feet and then in my body, realise that I'm in a scenario and snap out of it to come back to my body, hear myself making strange noises, reacting to what is going on in those scenarios. And I am back in the state, before I phase again in another scenario if I maintain it. Lately I try to not let go of my awareness, and I tell myself affirmations like "I'm out of body now". I try to still deepen my point of awareness. But up to now, I'm stuck there. If I deepen the state too much, I end up phasing in those dream-like scenarios. I really want to experience it with a good level of awareness so I was wondering, what do you guys do when you get there? How does SP feel for you?

Here's a video of Tom Campell at OBE France 2015. It's a recent video that was added on youtube on december 13th, and it explains Tom's theory, his reality model (MBT or My Big Toe). It gives sense to everything in our reality, time, space, consciousness, evolution, and he explains how OBE would be possible (after watching it you just end up asking yourself how it would not exist). I'll save the rest of the video for tomorrow, only watched close to the first half before going to sleep. Had to share this it really is amazing. Most of you that are used with Tom's model of reality and like to listen to his conferences will probably be familiar with everything in the video, but I was amazed at how he sees things, and explains them. So for everyone not familiar with it (and even for those who know much about MBT), here it is:

I don't know if anybody noticed, but for me it's always the same. I lie down and relax my mind. I do some countdowns to deepen my state, sometimes I'll watch the phosphenes in my inner vision or listen to the sound I hear. When I get to a deep state I get to see those images that form in my head. Scenes that get more and more vivid and realistic. As if I was there looking at the scene. It can be static or dynamic:

Static: Images are formed in my head and I can influence the theme by willing it. I love landscapes so that's what I see the most. As I get closer to sleep, the images get brighter and clearer. They come into flashes and I can see them for 2-3 seconds. If the images stays longer than that then I have phased.

Dynamic: Scenes are created in my head, I can also influence them as I want. Sometimes I'll start creating scenes by purpose, sometimes they'll be totally created by my subconscious and presented to me. As I get towards sleep I become more of a spectator. It means the scenes need less of my conscious will to maintain themselves. When the scene is playing without me influencing anything for a couple of seconds, then I have phased.

I noticed the same pattern in both these ways I have to phase. There's a switch that occurs at a certain point of the process. That's the one I called only for the purpose of this post the ''Phasing State of Mind''. Phasing in my case requires a special state of mind, one that is really close to sleep. The phasing will occur inside ten seconds from the point where my whole awareness is focused on an image or a scene. So it means that to successfully AP I've got to completely stop my thoughts, my emotions, and just passively look at what's presented to me. It's the same point where I fall asleep usually but the difference is my body has long fell asleep and I consciously followed the whole process.

My question is: Have you guys noticed the same thing? And people that project to what is identified as the ''Real Time Zone'' along with all the exit feelings, does it happen in the same conditions?

Thanks for sharing!

I succeeded this morning in having 4 AP's back to back. It was long this morning, many parasite thoughts as I call them (those thoughts, your inner dialogue that prevents you from going deeper within yourself). I had almost to struggle to get to the good state of mind. I almost stopped before having a single experience.

The first one: I was at the entrance of a parking, on a street that is my friend's. The street was different, but I knew it was that one. A woman in the fifties, short curled hairs and wearing glasses was driving her car out of her parking. It was an old eighties car. As she was driving around me to leave the parking on her left, she was looking at me, windows down.

Second one: This one is pretty interesting, because I was aiming to end up in my kitchen. I was doing visualisations of my kitchen, willing to be there. And minutes after I'm walking in there, looking at the floor before my feet as it cracks under them. It was short, but I was willing to be there and I got there! A little step further!

Third one: Again, I visualised sitting on the couch of the living room. Minutes after I was playing with my dog at almost the same place I visualised on the couch. I was in the same position, sitting towards the same wall in front of which I was sitting in my visualisation.

Fourth one: I am on my Harley-Davidson, in a forest. There's 2 or 3 kids on the bike with me and they're thrown in the air as I roll over tree roots. They are grappling each other so we don't lose anyone while they're laughing of amusement. We're fleeing a place behind us in the forest for whatever reason, and I feel we're being chased. It was a nice scene I liked the environment and the feeling of it.

I realise that if I wanna phase somewhere in particular, I gotta imagine myself right in the position I would be if I were there. Imagining the whole room in all its angles doesn't work as much as visualising exactly what you would see standing there. All these experiences were still without much awareness, and they lasted about 5 seconds before I was back in my bed. But I can bring a little more of my waking consciousness in those scenes. And I really don't lose it now, I remember everything , being in my bed, there, and back in my bed. I understand the consciousness movement needed to phase and seem to gain a little more control over it each time, even if I don't have that much control. It still doesn't feel like total AP's to me for awareness reasons, but I'm having quite some fun in having them. The last one was nice! If i make the count, I had 6 AP's of this sort this week, in like 5 days. That's good! I love thinkin about it afterward, I end up thinking about the astral all day long, dreaming about what I'll be able to do when I get better at it! I really enjoy it! When I control all this a little more I will probably post all the process I come by before phasing using visualisations. It's gonna be a ''how to'' like one I would have liked to have before succeeding (even if there are plenty excellent one in the stickies). Maybe it's gonna help people that are already close to phasing like PlasmaAstralProjection and that's what I hope! I want people to be able to do the same and share they're experiences and discoveries with me and others!

Could a mod tell me, would it be possible to create an experience journal place on the forum? It would be so nice we wouldn't have to create a website for people to read our experiences. It's really motivating, I remember I had a big journal on AstralSight forums. It was my favorite part of the forum so I would love having the same here!

So everybody have a nice day, I wish you good luck in your practice, Soki.

Hi everyone! I had another AP earlier I'm gonna paste from where I posted it:

Just had another AP if I can say. I was in my bed for the second time trying to AP today (tried a little waking up this morning couldn't do it at all so I won't count 3 times) and I phased in a car it was like an old mustang kind of car. The weirdest thing is I could see myself driving, as if I were in the passenger seat. I wasn't watching the road nor did I see any environment outside the car. We were rolling (me and myself??? lol) and I was looking at me. The ''me'' driving shifted in what would have been the third (if I think about how fast we seemed to be rolling and the fact that ''Driving Me'' shifted upward). It lasted about 5 seconds (a little longer than the last one) and I came back hearing myself snoring. I think I strangled with my saliva and that's what pulled me back. So again there is no memory missing about the experience, I was in my bed, then there, then in my bed. It doesn't feel like ''AP'' since I'm not even aware I'm in my bed trying to AP. I just phase in a scene and play it before coming back to my bed. I have a whole lot of work to do to be able to really experience the astral. A good reason to maybe give it a third try after supper!

Ok so I was wondering have you ever projected without being aware you are in projection? What I'm doing is clearly phasing if you ask me (I use visualisation) but I thought that when you phased you had your waking awareness. The two experiences I had in the last 2 days were without any awareness of what I had done to get there or that I was AP'ing. I know I have to work on it but little tricks wouldn't be bad for me at this stage! I wish I could experience AP's with the same awareness I have now, and I want to make them last longer! Thank you in advance!

Ok guys so I think I just succeeded in having my first astral projection from the waking state. I'll explain: I posted there's about 2 weeks about the mini dreams I get when I'm deep enough within myself. I begin to dream in my meditation if you will, I forget I'm trying to AP and I really am living the scene. Once I come back to my physical body I can't remember much, only seconds before I came back. Well it was before today. I can never remember when I was in my bed before getting there. Well again, it was before today.

While getting deeper and releasing my focus, allowing my mind to go towards the sleep state, I begin to see scenes in my inner vision. The more I get detached towards the physical, the more the scenes are getting reallistic and detailed, as if I was there but not totally. As if I'm watching it on a tv let's say. I am not there but I can see it. Where I am standing watching the tv is the physical, and what's going on inside the tv is the astral plane (or dream plane or whatever you wanna call it- I really adopted Xanth's vision on labels and now I don't know how to call things hahaha). It's exactly like visualising but it gets more detailed and everything. And then I get a little deeper while watching the scenes and then I'm in a ''dream''. That's how it's happening.

Earlier today at 4 o'clock I went in my bed to do an AP session. I got deep enough to see the scenes, and I'm getting better and better each time at maintaining them in my inner vision, without influencing them. I can, but it makes me stay awake and I don't get there. So I let things flow and I just watch. Then after a while I was in a place that really looked like the garage of the house in which I was working today with a friend (demolition job). All day long I had to fill bins with wood, floor pieces etc. I was getting downstairs with the bins and then was passing through the garage to go outside where the container was. To put all the wood equal in the container I was picking the pieces up and throwing them in it. So the garage in which I was represented the one I worked in today. The ''dream'' or AP (I don't know) lasted about 3 seconds. I was throwing a piece of wood like I was doing all day long in the garage door which was closed and that's it. When I threw the wooden piece my physical right arms twitched and I came back to my body. I realized what had just happened, and there was no forgetting about how I got there, I was suddenly there, but then I didn't remember I was trying to AP, I didn't know I had succeeded (did I?) and it ended. I didn't have my waking consciousness, I didn't know how I got there (nor did I think about it) it only happened. And then I was back. So after realising I tried a couple of times again (usually I can go back plenty times) but I was probably overthinking and decided to stop, I probably wouldn't be able to go back. Even if I didn't have my waking consciousness it definitely was something. I was here and then I was there. I didn't feel a single thing, no vibration, no energetic feeling, there was no noise, nothing. So I finally succeeded to phase somewhere. I would describe it more like the vision people have of a lucid dream, and I wasn't that lucid at all. But it happened from the waking state. It reinforces what Xanth is saying about labels. If we see it like some see it, I phased (well I really did). But I didn't have the same consciousness level people are talking about during AP's. Even if it was the same process as the one before an AP. Could someone tell me if it is what people are talking about when saying ''astral projection''?

I strongly advise you to read Xanth's thesis on labels. I begin to really understand what he's talking about when he says it's all the same. I think I did AP, I only lacked of consciousness during it. So I think lucid dreams and AP'S are all the same. It's only a question of getting the twist in being conscious. I'd like your opinion on this Xanth please! It didn't feel like I thought it would feel getting there but I'm still happy of my progress! And now I am sure I can go back at will, since I'm now really good at getting to the mini-dream state. Deepen your consciousness just a little while staying awake when you are there, and you will phase. If that's what I did!

It took me about half an hour to get to the mini dream stage, and 40 minutes to phase. I began the session at quarter to 4, and ended it at 4h38.

Hi everyone, I would like to get some help from people who might know what I'm gonna talk about here. When trying to project, I can get in a deep state enough to totally forget my body and spatial location. When I do so, each and everytime i get to feel my limbs moving really fast and going back to their position. It's happening in not even a second. It can be my foot, my hand, my head or even my whole body. For example, my arms can raise straight up in the air and then fall back to it's place and sometimes i hear the noise it would make if it was my physical arm that moved but it isn't. The sound is clearer, as if I was hearing it louder. Sometimes there's no sound that goes with the movement. Yesterday i even felt pushed back in my body and I felt my back slam the couch where I was sitting. As if I was out of my body but got pushed back in it. It's happening more often as i keep on practicing, but I can't get to control the state in which my consciousness is. I've been told I can take control of this, but when I try i can't get to move. I try to go deeper within myself, and try again but the only times i feel a limb moving is when I'm in a visualisation and then I forget what i'm trying to do. So i feel the movement but my consciousness is pulled back up and i'm back in a not-so-deep state in which I'm unable to control anything.

I would really like it if someone could help me out, help me understand how to get in control of my astral body to get out of my physical one. I feel that I'm really close but there's a little piece missing. I've been doing somme researches on this state of consciousness but there is not much to read about this phenomenon. Thank you!

By the way, I'm and old member of Astralsight forums, a french forum about OOBE's and energetic work. It's a little hard for me to write everything in english and my Astral Projection journal is written in french so I have to translate to tell you about my experiences but I will try to get a little more involved with this forum which I think is great and I could see there's a lot of experienced members with pretty good knowledge. Have a nice day everybody!
