Today I decide that I'm going to read a book called "Sleep Thinking" by ..  . Well I thought way not read it by the PhotoReading system that I learned. Now we need to get in to the experience of the "Lucid Dream" . After I read the book and said to my self why not try "OBE" now? Then I toke a position and laid back and start did some relaxation, trance and then OBE techniques. Like usual it didn't work for me. So I broke the state and I went to bed and sure I was waiting to trigger the OBE as soon as I will fall to sleep. And I waited until I start to feel my spinal cord very active and I heard this weird tone in ears. I felt kind of awake and looking to the lamp hanging over the roof in my room. And I was opening my eyes in sort of Time-Out. I was so exciting and felt that I'm going to get awaking at any time and felt my body and my opened eyes. Then I retained focus to my spin and all the sudden the activity on it raised to the most. I'm talking here about "Hi Voltage" electricity running in my spinal cord. And I felt my self throwing out in a lucid dream room. I felt the pain of the hit. And I stood up and walked to some cube-like object lay on a table and touched it. It felt so so real. Actually it was "at less" as clear as you could feel and see right now. Any way the only thing that made me believe that it was a Lucid-Dream is what I saw in the windows, it has a watery looking .I was so excited and felt my body many time and resist the feeling to return to my body but I had kind of "Mind-Split" looking to eyes to the lamp in my room. I ended up awaken and first thing I looked to lamp in the room and the weird thing is I realized that the lamp have a totally different shape !!. And it was so dark to see any thing !! so I'm think did I had a mind-split with my projectable double? Am I right ? was it a lucid dream at all ? any ideas?

A while back someone here posted a link to http://www.farsight.org/ and told us that they offer a free course in remote viewing. Someone I know who started the course seemed to like it, but quit before getting any results.

Hello 4229829,
I looked up the topic of remote viewing some years ago.  I was fascinated as to why Government agencies would be interested in 'psi' stuff.  I think there was a documentary filmed about it as well.  Anyway, any actual detailed info was just over technical (thus Technical Remote Viewing :) mostly because it's use required a certain amount of scientific validation..... at a guess.

I think you're just as well looking at sites like
http://www.viking-z.org/r01i.htm

There's also a download of the original CIA manual at
http://www.area-x.co.uk/
I have not downloaded it from there, but I'm sure I had a glance at it a year or two ago... very boring and unnecessary.

At the end of the day RV seems to be just a watered down version of OBEs you can have in the Real Time Zone.

On the plus side I use it often (my own simple version) as something to do in a meditative state.  Sometimes I get full blown OBEs from doing it because it keeps my awareness up for a long time.

Hope this is of help

Okay- I can help you with part of this, the Man-Rabbit, I have had this same problem. When you have a part of yourself that is not integrated, or perhaps a part of yourself that you're not even aware of (guilt, fear, shame) it will manifest itself on the astral plane as an entity and attack you. Think carefully about what a rabbit symbolizes to you. If you see it again try to grab onto it and ask it what it's name is and where it comes from.

I had this happen twice. I was attacked by a doll and a teddy-bear. The doll took me a few months to figure out and process; but it took me over a year to figure out what the teddy-bear was. Both of them turned out to be unresolved childhood trauma. I am a much happier person since I confronted the issues and resolved them.

Remember that astral travel is not just about flying around to interesting places. A lot of has to do with working on yourself, developing your own personality and mind, and spirituality. That means confronting yourself. Your own subconscious mind one of the most powerful and amazing places there is. You'd be surprised what's in there.

Sorry, but there are no easy answers to your questions. You need to research as much material as you can and try to find methods and ways that suit you.

Me, I'm a great fan of the Monroe school and the Phasing approach. Lots of other people follow methods published by Rober Bruce who talks of all kinds of Energy Raising concepts, etc. Basically, you need to study the various approaches and work on finding your own way.

To me, the "fun stuff" is in the finding out, or the discovery aspect, whether I'm phased into Physical or Astral. Problem is, though, everyone's idea of Fun is different.

Yours,
Frank

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Quran & OBE
October 05, 2002, 16:29:03
Hi alaa,

They say, that you have not lived until you die.
As i understand it, sleep is return to our true home, every night, to prepare us for death of the body.
The shock, of not having this nightly connection, would be too great for the soul to bear.
'He' as you term, to me, is the god within all living things, and one that never dies, but changes form.
And that which 'ye commits by day'  can be compensated by night, for people who take thought.
For others, it may be a longer process, which holds up the whole.
But the whole has, and is time.
Paola.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / foot problem

You could try turning this into an advantage.

Ex: When I try to relax more deeply into trance, I will often have a major twitch (almost spasm) that jolts me back to full awareness/no trance.

This was really annoying, until I realized that it may well have been a tool I could use to keep myself from falling asleep. So I started mentally thanking myself for the twitches, because they allowed me to practice relaxing over longer periods of time in a session. they never annoy me anymore, because they keep me from falling asleep on those nights that i am trying to attain a good trance.

Maybe you could find a good use for your dilemma? Maybe it is an opportunity to practice moving your awareness around your body (to your foot, for example) or something?

Hmmm...I don't know if  I Personally would try that.  It reminds me of something we did in HighSchool the passing eachother out trick, and we would have to catch the person when they passed out.  I never did it though, cuz I thought it was gross, and made me go weak.

Cheers

it could have been a combination lucid dream and obe, however it does seem like an obe after reading it again. if you keep having theese experiences you will develop your own way of telling what happened.a few thoughts- you do not always see things out of body the way they really look - your own mind can change their shape, add things that are not there. i do not have sensations in my dreams, but going through a wall has a certain "sensation" to it. also once i went through a wall when my bladder was full, so somehow that generated a certain 'pain' in my real time body.it also takes your mind some time to adapt to the obe state so it always doesn't make logical sense.

try falling- either just the sensation or imagine yourself in a falling elevator. after trying all kind of movement sensations(waves, hammock, swings) i thought that maybe that exlpains why kids like  swinging in swings all day-it creates a etheric rush.

You are right. It isn't just imagining how it might feel. Physically creating the sensations such as using a paintbrush over an area to create sensations will help create memories of how it felt. Those memories are recalled and then modified as needed. At first rather than directly stimulating the energy the methods are to create and re-create tactile sensations. Just trying to create sensations by imagining them and using no other support is little different than visualization.

Hi there,

I recently had the exact same thing happen!  My first OBE was totally by accident (kinda... I don't think it would have happened at all if not for practicing over the past weeks but I still didn't consciously induce it).

Anyway, I have been changing my technique to sitting in a recliner instead of on pillows on the floor, and also I think I might have had my trance/projection techniques backwards.  I think I was trying to sink when projecting and float when trancing!  Not sure, but I'll have to keep trying...

A general question:  when sinking should you feel your BODY sink or your awareness sink?  It's kind of a point-of-view thing.  I only ask because a night ago I was trying VERY hard to project, and was pushing my awareness upward, and I felt myself hit full trance rather abruptly. (perhaps because of my body sinking?)

Other than that, I get very relaxed, my arms and legs feel very numb, but I think controlling my breathing might be a problem, too.

Good luck,
Justin

you are so close....frustratingly close...I find that I can only project AFTER falling asleep.....you must be very close with all the symptoms...try to keep an image of projecting allied to all the exit sensations you are experiencing..and slip off to sleep..your consciousness might then transfer ok to the astral body and you will then find yourself out..good luck!
