Hello everyone,

I would like to ask for your help on one of my friend's behalf. Years ago he overdosed himself with psilocybin which resulted in a premature awakening. He has been battling with some 'demons' and very strong emotions ever since then. He can't really put it into words but it feels like as if they're coming through a crashed in gate and try to pull him under if he stops keeping himself busy, even for a half an hour. Meanwhile, the initial bliss that accompanied the awakening experience diminished, leaving behind nothing but their disturbing counterparts.

Now we are looking for resources that would ease the symptoms or help coping with them. I'm very aware of the fact that any given thing works differently for different people and you should use your own discretion and judgement when it comes to experimenting with anything. But I would really appreciate if anyone could help me find books, articles, websites or any piece of information that deal with the treatment of premature awakening, especially when it is caused by hallucinogens.

All the best,
alex

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Cursing
December 28, 2012, 13:09:58
Hey guys!

I came across some writing the other day which was about why people find "curse" words offensive. It said that this whole thing has a religious origin. Religion consider sex dirty when it is performed for only pleasure's sake, and these words are related to the urogenital system, so they are perceived as dirty mainly because of this religious - be it conscious or not -  influence. Pretty interesting if you ask me.

On the other hand, I think these words are part of the language and there is nothing "dirty" about them. I grew up in a small town, where a century ago the people with the "dirtier" mouth had the greater respect. It was so natural to them to incorporate these words it wasn't reflecting uneducation or anything like that.

I know that cursing is not allowed on most of the forums since a fraction of people find it offensive, but actually I find it offensive that I can't show my full range of vocabulary when I want to express myself without receiving a warning/ban. I mean, it is a cheap excuse to say that it's offensive, and ignoring the fact that it is restricting others in their freedom of speech at the same time.

I know I can always walk away if I don't like it, but nobody is forcing you to read "dirty" posts, you can just ignore them. Or walk away.

So the question is: what is wrong with cursing, why don't you like/use these words?

Hi everyone!

I have been thinking about simultaneous incarnations recently. If all of our incarnations are simultaneous, and we are only aware of the recent ones experiences on a conscious level, does it mean that after we are no longer able to perceive the physical through our presently operating bodies (yeah, I mean, when we "die"), we have completed our learning cycle on Earth? I mean, maybe I am not my final incarnation or a "graduate", since she is a whore in Medieval France for example, but since all this experience-gathering happens simultaneously, you don't have to put the final piece of the puzzle to it's place since one of your other incarnations will do it.

So are all of our incarnations final incarnations :)?

Hi everyone!

I just had a strange experience about a week ago and can't stop thinking about it... Can't even give it a name....

So I was takeing a walk with a buddy of mine and I just told her a very personal thing about myself. After she replied to it, I cracked a joke and suddenly realized, that I dreamed about this situation like two years ago, when those things I was talking about with her were happening.

In that dream I didn't know who I was conversing with, because my gaze was wandering around while we were walking. But in this moment it just downed on me that I was talking to her in that dream. It was really bizarre, because I spoke with the same tone like in my dream, said the same words, and the environment was the same, and it felt like I am just watching the whole scenario from a distance and waking up again when it was over. Like it happened before.

Really a dream came true, I know.... :-P

Has anyone ever experienced similar things? How do you explain it/call it?

Cheers,

Hi everyone!

I've been trying to have OBEs in the last 2,5 months, and although I had some unusual experiences, I can't seem to overcome some obstacles.
I've been approaching the problem mainly from becoming lucid in a dream or separating from my body upon awakening, because I don't have the opportunity to get enough rest on weekdays, so I can't practice "direct" methods - I am tired all the time and just fall asleep when I try to induce sleep paralysis after sleeping for 4-5 hours.
Anyways, I am becoming lucid more often recently. It's not like I use reality checks or anything, I just spontaneously realize that I am in a dream, but I always lose lucidity after a few minutes. And I don't really have precise control over the experience, my thought do not "materialize" the way I want them. So these lucid dreams come with a relative blurry vision, and end up in a false awakening, and then a subsequent real one.
On the other hand, when I am able to separate from my body upon awakening, I feel so heavy that I can barely move or get away from my body. The only things I can see are shadows, it is like I can't open my eyes. Demanding clarity is not working. And I usually get stuck in a wall or something when I try to get away from my body. It is like I fell through that wall/door, hit the ground, but can't get up/move anymore.
Any suggestions?

Hi everyone!

I just started to practice given methods to achieve "astral projection" and a few days ago a high pitched frequency has arisen during one of my sessions. The things is, I can hear this sound ever since then, no matter what I do. I just need to focus on it for a few secs and it is there in the background. It's not like I'm bothered by it, I just can't turn it off :).

After I started to hear this frequency, the "light particles" I previously observed during noticing have changed. They used to be homogeneous, some kind of light yellow/green in color, but now I can perceive dark blue and dark green colors too.

Did anyone have similar experiences?

Welcome to Spiritual Evolution! / "Gender"
January 13, 2012, 05:48:24
Hi everyone!

Do you think that our souls have "genders"? I mean are there men or women souls? Or people just think about themselves as men and women because of our obvious biological differences?

I am not talking about being gay or transgender or whatever. But aren't the notions of men and women just artificial, another tricky illusion of the physical realm? We grow up seeing and hearing about the different roles of men and women, what should and what shouldn't given genders do; that there are girl things and boy things and you should behave this way or that way, and first of all: you should never, ever understand the other gender's way of thinking. So we can complain about it all the time and fill our minds with nonsense views in order to keep it busy. And distracted.

Any thoughts :)?

Hi everyone!

I've just figured it out that this might be the right place to ask the following questions, because when I try to talk about these things, people think I should be institutionalized or something . Here we go:

As far as I understand, the "Astral" is a very subjective experience, since we are exploring our subconscious. Some states that are "Planes" in the Astral, others talk about different areas of the consciousness and they divide the whole thing into categories. There are always higher Planes, additional areas etc.... They treat these "higher" planes/areas as if they were somehow more objective. But how can they be so sure about that? Where does reality begins?

'Cause I think "reality" is really a subjective experience, and just because a bunch of people drew the line at the certain point, it doesn't mean there is really a line. Just think about the physical level. For many, this is what reality is. We can say, that this is just an illusion and we can search for the "truth", but that is also a very subjective experience IMO....

And first of all, what is the point of living this earthly life? Please be very creative and don't come up with personal development or evolution  :?! Assuming that there is a "higher self" or that we exist on various levels at the same time, starting our "evolution" from here seems freaking pointless to me. Or starting it from anywhere... evolving at all seems pointless.

Please someone break it down for me, 'cause I feel freaking cheated! What the heck are we doing here? What on earth could we possibly learn on this Earth - lol - which would prepare us, broaden our horizons blabla... for becoming able to understand something that we are not capable of understand now?

Let's say I am at Level 1 in this little role-playing game, but why can't I just start from Level 30? It wouldn't make any difference, because you have to learn and prepare yourself either ways, right? To become a "God", become one with "God", or call it Creator or whatever you want - I am not religious, don't get me wrong.

And what does determine, whether someone is getting involved in "spirituality" or not? And when? I am familiar with the conception of reincarnation, but I just can't see what on earth would stop someone from seeking sensual pleasures for thousands of reinbodiments. At some point we just decide that we had enough of that? Let's find something else to keep ourselves busy and entertained.

I would really love to understand Life and address these questions to some kind of "higher" life form, to the hyper-ultimate one, but I am afraid he/she/it would be just a product of my own imagination.

So please share your thoughts. At least you guys are real for sure. Arent ya ?

Hey guys!

Does anyone know anything about the user named Frank? His latest post are about 6 years old. And he was talking about some health issues in them, so is he still in Phase 1  :|?

Hello everyone!

I am new to Astral Projecting, and all the literature and information available seem so contradictionary that I can't make head or tail of it.

I have been having sleeping paralysis since I was a teenager, but I have never attached importance to it until recently, because the medical explanation regarding to it said it is caused by exhaustion.  But recently I came across some information which led me to the conclusion that maybe it has to do something with Astral Projection/OBE.

I did not know where to start, so I read a few books, checked out a few websites and found some auditory method which is supposed to alter your brain waves in order to achieve Projection. I decided to give it a shot.

Well it was quite effective because after I fell asleep I "woke up" paralyzed. It was different from my previous experiences because this time I heard noises like waking up in some kind of a busy factory. "Feeling" paralyzed alone scares the heck out of me, so this lovely new aspect didn't really helped me in staying calm, but somehow I managed to try and "roll out of my body" onto the floor. I felt as if I was successful, although I did't really "feel" hitting the floor, but I remember to take 2-3 steps and feeling that I  had been freed. Even a smile spread across my face.

But the voice on the tape said something about coming back to my physical consciousness and I immediately found myself paralyzed again, in my body. Panic took over me and I try to move one of my limbs, as usually, to regain control over my body and end the paralysis. It has always been my way of ending the paralysis.

During the whole thing I was kind of blind, except the moment I first "woke up" and when I found myself back in my body and started to struggle with ending it. I even remember seeing my squirming arms and legs, and sitting up in the process, but when I opened my physical eyes I was laying completely still on my bed.

I'm not sure if I've ever had any visual perception until this occasion in my previous paralyzed states. Although my vision was completely blurry.

I'm not even sure if it's safe experimenting with this whole thing, and as I said the information available is not going to solve this mystery for me, so I need the advice and opinions from people who have already had OBEs.

1. How can I get out and get away from my body?

2. Do I need any kind of protection? I mean I can not imagine what should I do if I come across some entity that I or someone else around me called into life after some negative experience. Anything malevolent. It is not enough to have positive thoughts if others surrounding you keep throwing up their mind-junk.

3. And first of all, does this mind stuff exist on the material plane at all or on the astral plane? I suppose, when you get out of your body, you are still on the material plane and you have to change the vibrational frequency of your consciousness to move between planes. So what can I expect to see/find after I leave my body?

4. I read about having Guides or people sensing someone else's presence/seeing someone in the room during OBE, but I have never sensed anything like that so far. It is not like I need something else to add to the fear factor - feeling that someone is watching me during this whole process....aawww!...-, but if there really is a Guide should I "call out" for it? Simply "will" it there :)? Ask it to pull me out of my body maybe :D?

5. Should I start with lucid dreaming first instead of playing with the fire? Is there a fire at all? I mean, can I burn myself with this?

Thx for having the patience to read this!
