Welcome to Dreams! / Dream of a shooting incident
November 24, 2004, 04:59:28
This dream was short & vivid. It shows how noticing illogical scenarios within dreams can quickly create that "hang on a minute - I'm dreaming" reaction.

I recall being outside some buildings in the early evening. I stood in the shadows, knowing that around the corner sat a group of middle aged men. They were sitting in either a garage, or a small warehouse, discussing something.

I held in my hand a gun. From my position of cover, I began shooting the men, one by one. They were probably only sitting 15 yards from me. After firing each shot, a man would tumble to the ground. The others would look around, then continue their discussions.  I probably shot 3 men before realising that the gun chamber was empty; there were two remaining.

A strange thing then occurred. "Why don't you use this one," said one of the two men, a grey haired, slightly older looking guy. He was facing me now, holding a bullet in his fingertips; I approached, stepping between the bodies of the people I had just shot dead, took the bullet & retreated to my vantage point. The two men continued their discussions as I re-loaded.

I took aim at the other man, pulled the trigger, & missed his head. The bullet ricocheted off the wall behind him....He turned around and looked outraged. Sitting next to him, the grey haired man who had given me the extra bullet was surprised and worried.

Sensing danger, I turned and ran. My intended target was quick to his feet. He began firing on me when I was maybe 50yards or so from the scene. I ran through busy traffic, using the moving cars as shields. I can't recall ever running so fast in a dream!

For some unknown reason, I was wearing a police radio. As I ran through the streets, past countless streetlights & cars, I heard their calls.....sightings of me running down such&such a street....past a bridge...etc, etc. Soon, I was blending into the night and the streets, confident I wouldn't be found. Walking underneath a bridge at night, catching my breath with a gun in my hand, I was positive that I was in the middle of a bizarre dream !!

Kind regards,

This dream wasn't really too eventful, but it was so vivid & enjoyable at the time, I thought I'd recount it here.

Having left some friends, I found myself in a country park. At this point my dream became quite lucid. Walking through this park, with the sun shining, I noticed a nearby picnic table. Underneath it was a fox, I thought. On closer examination I realised it was too big to be a fox. Its body was elongated & muscular, covered with short fur like a lioness'. Its mouth was fox-like, but the jaws were longer. Its teeth were large. The rich brown colours on the animal's head contrasted with the tanned, golden colour of its torso.

As it lay under the bench, it was giving me friendly vibes (!). I approached and held out my hand/ fist, lowered, so that it could see I posed no threat. It nodded a couple of times and allowed me to come closer. So I knelt alongside the animal which must have been 6 or 7feet long, & stroked its back.

I immediately sensed that something was wrong, so I began to back away slowly. It bared its teeth, & I noticed that all 4 fangs were worn down to stumps. I instantly realised, that this had been done on purpose to the animal, to prevent it from hurting people. I realised that the animal was an "ornament" of sorts belonging to this park, much in the same way that peacocks are used as ornaments on earth.

Backing away more quickly now, I found that the only way to escape was to climb a vertical black rock face. It was an easy climb, & after 5 minutes I was 30metres up. I could see the animal staring up at me, from below. I sensed that it had chosen not to bother following me. My way on up the rock face was now too difficult as a large overhang lay above me. However just a few feet away was a cave. Sunlight shone from the back of the cave, & I saw that a pathway had been cut from the cave, through to the back of the cliff. Unfortunately it was padlocked shut, so after a few moments I began the descent back down the rock face & woke up.

Not very eventful, but enjoyable nonetheless!

Welcome to Dreams! / Falling during a dream
October 22, 2004, 22:53:45
I'm sure this topic has come up before, but I couldn't find any relevant threads using "search". Apologies !

Over the past few days I have been considering the falling sensation that we often experience during dreams and I noticed something strange (to me anyway!).

My earliest memory of a "falling dream" would be somewhere between the ages of 6 & 8 years old. In my family's old house in Dalkeith, Scotland, I dreamt that my bed (with me on it) rose from the floor & floated out of the room. It floated along the landing as I remained tired and sleepy. The bed soon got to the top of the stairs, tipped itself upright, and fell.

I awoke very quickly, adrenalin pumping through my body. The sensation of falling was so "real" and "lifelike". I've had similar falling dreams on many occasions...Another dream saw me in Edinburgh, peering over a stone wall to look at the top of a lamp-post a couple of feet out of my reach, rising from the street below. I looked down and saw it was no ordinary lamp-post .... It was at least 50 metres tall, & as I looked down at the street way below I slipped and fell..... !!

Now, here's the strange part. At no point in my life (before the time of my 1st falling dream) have I ever fallen from a great height. Or even just a tumble of a few feet. I know I've slipped down a few stairs as a child, but that didn't provoke the same falling sensation. So, how did I come to experience these falling dreams without experiencing a similar sensation during my waking life ?

This is beginning to puzzle me. I'm 95% certain that the falling sensation I experience during a dream is accurate & lifelike. Yet, I cannot know for sure, as I have never fallen from a great height. I guess that the only way to ascertain the accuracy of the sensation, would be to go skydiving !

So, to re-cap.....Where did my mind learn this falling sensation from ? I haven't experienced it during my physical life. Where did I learn it ?

Kind regards,
Mark

Hi Michael, welcome to the forum !

Whilst I'm not familiar with the zeta literature, I'm sure your post will interest many on the astralpulse. Perhaps you would be kind enough to copy this post into the forum "members book reviews" aswell, for reference ? Whilst at the same time, keeping this post in "communications" section for discussions etc.

Hello there fat_turkey !

Do you think there was such a thing as "good and evil" before humankind ?

I agree with you that good and evil exists today - but only as a human concept.

Put me down for a big YES![;)]

I have had 9 since September 03.  The first one was after reading the on-line book by Robert Peterson.  It was Afterwords that I found out what a traditional OBE was.  Mine are pretty run-o-the mill OBEs. Nothing really that I haven't read about somewhere else(mostly after having the experience).

I'm currently in a slump going on 3 months[:(].  I'm kind of confused about that.  I would like to know if anybody else out there that has frequent OBEs goes through slumps?  Or are they consistent?

Yes, it was great.  I'm not sure how many are on this forum though, at least not on a regular basis.  The workshop was great, but it was the people I met that really made it for me.  A huge age range from all over the world.  The atmosphere there was wonderful, we were all high on energy by the end of it I think.  I wish I could do it once a month just to top up on the energy!

That's quite an interesting story, Clandestino. We get settled in the mundane and then come across something like this that is really extraordinary.

All the best,

I think someone should write a virus that formats the hard drives of all spammers' computers and blows them up. The virus should be smart enough to read the logs of the computers to determine if they are spamming. I hate spam!!!

Glad you posted that.  I've been seeing phasing mentioned a fair bit and thought it would be a dumb question to ask what it was.
Your analogy and explanation cleared it up for me, although your shower sounded like the reverse of the "Boiling Frog" theorem.

I've got an other theory on why babies die immediatly after birth. They take one look at earth and change their minds about incarnating.

a) It was refreshing. I was used to message boards with so much negativity and closed-mindedness, and when i came on here it was such a positive change. Plus i was knew to metaphysical things and such altogether so there was so much information here for me to digest, and there still is. After all, i've only been here a couple of months.

b) I had no trouble making my first post. I can't remember what it was about either.

c) I can't remember this either. Felt the same as any time i post a message on any board, i guess - normal. I don't know how i'd define normal for me. Content? At ease? Let's just say it wasn't a big thing[:P]

To each their own. I think this is really dangerous though if they are drinking the blood of strangers. Just think of all the viruses and diseases they could get from this. Probably worse than unprotected sex with someone you don't know.

I have to admit I've stayed away form certain threads of late [xx(]

What this board needs is a button/link of the messages that would alert a moderator. Some BB software where I'm an admin and moderator has this feature and it seems like a good idea.

Greetings Clandestino,

Great pick! This may possibly be the first book I ever read on OBE's. It was originally published in 1973 and I think I read it a few years after that. It had quite an impact because it started my whole interest in AP/OBE. I suppose the same has happened to many other people who have read this book. It's an important read also because you read about the early journeys of Robert Monroe (who transitioned to the non-physical realms in March of 1995).

Very best,

The experiences I had when I was very young, which got me interested in this subject in the first place, were of floating around above my body or out in the garden.  I assume that this is a real time projection. I always assumed that the astral is just a different dimension of some sort, although I've never consciously experienced what is normally referred to the astral as yet.

Mark: This has happened to me before quite a number of times. Maybe you should try what I do and think of the CD only as a kind of primer. Listen to it a couple of times and go through some kind of visual rundown like I described in the monster thread. Then try feeling your way around without the CD.

What I did when first attempting without the CD is to practice getting to Focus 12, only. Which, funnily enough, is what I've gone back to yet again as I'm getting a bit cheesed off at continually failing to achieve my goal of simply being able to project at will.

Everything else is largely sorted: the emotional control, the navigation, etc. Except it still takes me around an hour and sometimes longer, to initiate the process. Although sometimes I'll go, say, 10 mornings in a row where it'll take me just 5 or 10 minutes. Then, next morning, it might take me an hour and a half.

Anyhow, I was having a moan about this to Freda, one of my "Astral Family" members as I call them, and she said I had no problem up to Focus 10 in that I could quit thinking about any physical-matter concern quite readily. But there was a receptivity problem causing a kind of mental block that was preventing me from attaining the Focus 12 state in a shorter time.

She said the key was to "become open" to the Focus 12 state, stop trying to in some way initiate it, then simply flow along with events as they unfold. The times when I projected in a shorter time, were the times I had naturally be more receptive at the onset of Focus 12 (but didn't realise it).

She also said the Focus 12 state is a very important state to work towards achieving as the whole conscious-exit process begins to unfold from Focus 12. Which is something us Monroe fans basically know already. But what she doubly reinforced to me was the importance of this state in the general conscious-exit scheme of things. She did also say that lapses in conscious awareness can also be caused through lack of receptivity to Focus 12. Which is basically what you are experiencing, so maybe this may apply to you also.

Anyhow, I decided to take a break from projecting until I polish up on the C1 to F12 transition. Which is all I've been practicing the past week. :(

Yours,
Frank

hi clandestino,

re Frank's technique, I think it is important to keep in mind what Robert Bruce talks about regarding visualization. That is, visualization is definitely not always visual, nor does it have to be. If you are one of the majority, like me, visualization is extremely difficult. You feel like you can't really "see" anything, and you spend so much energy trying to make it more real that you wind up not being able to do anything else, or running out of energy or getting bored and going to sleep.

I think the most important thing in any technique is actually the way it makes you FEEL. For instance someone might recommend you imagine yourself lying on the beach with the hot sun looking down, the crashing of the waves, etc. There is only one purpose to this. To make you feel relaxed and warm. It really makes no difference if you can visualize a beach or not. The idea is that imagining the scenario in your mind will help you to create warmth and relaxation in your body.

That said, I can't visualize for the life of me. What I'm starting to discover is that I CAN reproduce feelings and sensations and emotions. This is the key. If you are getting to the point where you can see faces, hypnagogic imagery, etc. then you are doing well. Keep practicing. And focus on the effect (the way you feel) and not so much on the method. The method is, after all, just a method.

hope this helps....

I've heard songs in the astral that I thought existed in the physical plane but I've searched and never found. I even asked people in the astral the name of the song and stuff.
I get alot of inspiration from lucid dreams and astral projections and I composed a song with harmonies that I've gotten there.

> Does anyone regularly use astral projection / lucid dreaming as a tool for not just getting inspiration, but actually getting whole new ideas ?!

Sure, I learn things everyday, but it's not like getting new ideas, it's more like acknowledging something that was there all the time but I wasn't still enough to notice.
I don't know what to say about whole new ideas, the experience itself totally changed the way I look at life and the world and the universe, really opened my eyes. And I've learned to be more tolerant and understanding, and to perceive how my actions affect the whole.

Greetings Mark!

Thanks very much indeed for these excellent links!

They serve extremely well to highlight the very purpose of this new forum.

I am locking this topic in place, for a time at least, to give everyone the opportunity of seeing the links.

Thanks again.

With best regards,

Adrian.

p.s. just want to clarify the above.....

The "he" that I am referring to is not Monroe himself.....When "he" approaches, Monroe says that he lies down with all the other occupants, so as not to look out of place.

#37
Well if it is going to be voluntary and put on the profile then you could just request everyone to state their experience level on their profile under one of the topics that allows you to fill in your personal info. This could be a good idea to give others, especially newer people to the board, an idea of the experience the person actually has. But I do not think any kind of rating system should be in place. That would just make things a little complicated, especially with the wide variety of skills and experiences there are. A little description would be better in my opinion.

Flag fluttering? I do not recall seeing the flag flutter in any of the footage I have seen. I am pretty sure we have landed on the moon. I would think that if we had not other nations, especially the USSR at the time, would had prooven it otherwise. I find it kind of odd that they would have a show on this as I think most people believe that we have been to the moon. Though I have heard that the footage shown on tv during the first landing was not live but recorded stuff from other missions. I do not know I was not around on then. Sounds like it was an interesting watch though.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Do You Believe in Guns?
August 15, 2002, 04:31:56
Hey Dan, hows things ? hope things are good over in the states at the mo, ...its a nice sunny day down here in London.

Anyway, we've got different fire-arms laws over here. No civilians are permitted to own a hand-gun or firearm of any type (with the exceptions of farmers w/ their shotguns). You are allowed rifles for shooting in designated areas or for sport, but NOT specifically for the purpose of self defence.

The law was brought in a few years back because of an incident in Scotland when a man broke into a school assembly with a hand gun and shot dead several children.

I've got respect for your beliefs and your constitution, but personally I think that guns are offensive, not defensive weapons. As such, I believe that using them CANNOT be deemed as self - defence.

I think that the laws here reflect this position, but I'm no lawyer.

I do recognise that there are plenty of practical situations where my beliefs would get me killed....but on the other side of the coin, I think that more guns = more people getting shot...

I hope that I haven't in any way offended you Dan, if I have, it wasn't my intention ! cheers,
Mark
