I am a new member to this forum,and would like to introduce myself with one of my poems,which reflects my OWN personal philosophical quest:"TO KNOW"...  if anyone is interested in more of my poetry check out my homepage that is listed in my profile....

There are infinite possibilities
along our spiritual-path,
only limited by parameters
of the questions we ask...

Where do we come from?
What do we fear?
When will we know?
Why are we here?...

Alone with our EGO'S
false facades;
we worship and bow
before many different Gods...

The search for meaning
takes many forms;
existential components,
with empirical storms...

Within the "mind's-eye"
beyond our "seeing",
lies the "focal-point",
and the nature of our "being"...

To my knowledge the rotation of the Earth has little to do with holding things to it. The Earth has a lot of mass, mass is what causes gravity. So nothing should go flying off into space. But the part of the Earth that is facing the sun will become rather warm, and the part away from the sun will cool down.

I have not heard about a planet x, but I have heard that the magnetic poles look like they might shift sometime. I saw a show on this a few years ago. It said if this does happen it will screw up all of our electrical devices. Can you imagine what would happen? I know people that get ticked when the cable goes out, I do not know how they would lived if this happened.

But to sum up.  Certain things just seem to happen to show you that you are on the right path or to serve as a warning.  Unfortunately it is up to you which is which.  And how to take the information.
