I live next to a forest. I go out of the garden gate and walk 5 metres into a path and am already in the middle of a forest. I will upload a picture to show it.

I also do earthing. I have a grounding mat at my desk.

I also have 'befriended' a tree in the forest and I do earthing by touching it. He/she even has a name. There is a sign on the tree that translates as 'loop trail' or 'circular path'. So I named it after that.

That's pretty much it. This could have definitely been a normal dream but I thought it would be good to share with you guys to see what you think.

Dreams that contain challenges can be set up by guides as training scenarios.  This could have been one. You clearly acted as a helper and even lifesaver for the kid.
So yes, this 'smells' already like retrieval work (preparation / training).   

How can I initiate retrieval work?

I have been projecting for a few years and recently I've been developing a phasing adjacent technique which isn't really new and is very open ended. It's mostly bilocation related which has been interesting to learn but again very open ended so it's been a process. I feel that I'm very close to using this for consistent projections. I've recently learned that a medication I'm taking is making evening projections very challenging because of my sleep cycle so this has been really fun to learn. 

I feel that I'm starting to move in a new direction as I advance in my development overall especially these last few months. Something that's been on my heart for a while now is doing retrieval work. There are a few dreams I've had that I believe to be introductions (one of which involved a child from the 1800s).

I think that emotionally I'm ready to help in any way I can. How did you guys start this work? I don't even know where to begin except asking for help from guides or other light beings.

EscapeVelocity and Lumaza have already given great answers and I have not much to add to it and would only repeat most of it.

Maybe one thing I could add although only as  a sidenote: When you have put out your earnest request look out for a response or 'signs' in any way. They will come, maybe only after a while. They can come in dreams and in the physical. I had quite a few of these signs in dreams and 'waking life' telling me that I was 'enrolled' in the program to learn/do/help retrieve.

As for the comments above on what happens when we pass in our sleep. I believe we "officially" wake up on the other side. If we need time to "acclimate" to our new existence, it is provided, and a "Retriever" will appear when necessary.

Yes, I also think that most 'wake up' 'somewhere' they are being cared for. E.g if it is a hospital or elderly/hospice home they might also wake up in a 'different' hospital situation where doctors and nurses care for them. I think I have read about this too somewhere.

Last October my father also passed in his sleep at home.

He had been in Home Care in a nursing bed with a Homecare service visiting us every day twice for 3 years. It wasn't easy in the end. Before he passed he had been in the local hospital for over a month and there in the end also been transferred from a 'normal' station to a Palliative Care station (more or less a hospital's hospice department) since the treatment had been 'through' and given up and he did not want any anymore, telling the treating physician it was his time go.

However, when he came back he was doing okay actually which gave me some (false) hope. But then suddenly he stopped eating and drinking after a week. Forcing it upon him (by me or the nurses) did not work anymore, he just refused. They call it "Sterbefasten" in Germany which would mean 'Death Fasting' as a direct translation into English but I think it is not used as such in your language meaning 'hunger strike' which is NOT the same thing - some old dying people just CANNOT drink/eat any longer since there is no hunger or thirst (often kidney failures are involved) and they even get sick when they are 'forced' to drink/eat and spit it all out.

I still tried to help (not accepting the obvious as I should have...) and on his last day on the 22nd October the visiting family doctor prescribed a intravenous infusion bag to get fluids which was installed by the nurses at home. But of course it was too late and did no help. He died in his sleep in the night to the 23rd October. The nurse who visited us in the morning found him this way and informed me then at 7 a.m. in the morning.

He looked peaceful, like s.o. sleeping with closed eyes, one arm strangely lifted as to wave good-bye to us (the bed's headboard was always lifted up so this is why this was possible) - this is a great solace for me. The view is burned into my visual memory now. But it is an okay view for me.

Of course I know it was his time to go, he had reached his 94th birthday in September while still in the hospital on a day when he suffered a lot of pain - alhtough most of the time in his last days he was suffering.

He actually wanted to 'leave' all the time (for all the 3 years of his bedridden care dependency). He did not tell it to me or my Mum but to the doctors in the hospitals who then told me (he had a lot of hospital stays during these 3 years). I learnt this is how it often happens, they don't want to alarm the living loved ones around them but they often tell the doctors about it. He told them he waited with anticipation to join his family (parents and 5-6 siblings) on the other side and was kind of looking forward to that. So he had made his peace with his situation.

Just like in your experiences, he also sleeped a lot all the time and when awake was sometimes 'not here' - so I guess he also got accustomed to the other side this way.

I am happy that he died in his sleep. It is the best way to go. I hope it will also be 'my way' when my time has come.

When you appeared in the scene, did you have an instinctive 'knowing' that this person was your retrieval target?

I don't think I knew. Although I was quite lucid then, in hindsight my memory of this is too blurry to know exactly how I chose him or even how I addressed him. I might have thought that all of these people in the garden were retrieval targets and just chose the one nearest to me. I might then have addressed him with sth like 'how's your work going?' or maybe a simple 'howdy-do' or 'do you need some help?' to get him talking. His instant complaint about his work was my instant 'hook' then. The only thing I also remember and did not yet mention is the short glance of the guide (who was a similarly aged man) at me when he already talked to the gardner signalling me a kind of 'I got this' before they vanished.
I admit I lost a bit of discipline in recent years with journalling and did not get up at night soon after I had this experience, but I also had some other experiences after that (not well remembered) and so I did not wake up back to body immediately. This might also have contributed to me not memorising it all well enough.

This Retrieval caught my attention because it is unique and may afford a wider discussion of what appears to be happening. The "Retrievee", as it were, is in a very commonplace setting, performing a common work task. There is no indication of a violent or disruptive event that led to his passing...no war, no conflict, no traumatic incident, no indication of malevolence towards him...he may have suffered a heart attack while working or possibly died peacefully in his sleep.

This question has long bothered me from time to time- If I pass silently at night, in my sleep...how will I necessarily know that I have passed from this existence into the next? Might I just automatically take up my regular activities within my own personal astral space upon my normal schedule of awakening, not recognizing the difference between here and there? And of course, how many times does this transition occur for people while performing some normal activity such as cutting the bushes?

Following the Monroe idea of Belief System Territories, the simplest forms appear to be like this one described. They are personal belief system traps where a person is still so closely identified with their personal worldview and the energetic frequency that it aligns with to the point that their prior PR world fixation creates their current afterlife circumstance, and it plays out endlessly until certain factors may enter and interrupt it.

And it's not the personal BST purgatory of a suicide, addict or murderer...or the complexities of a consummate liar, schemer or narcissist...I have read about how those personal purgatories play out in the Bruce Moen books. This does speak to the idea of eternal damnation or a very long time. This is just an example, maybe, of a common death.

I need to ask this question more directly the next time I attend a Monroe Course- What is the distinctive quality that makes a still-extant human such a benefit in a Retrieval? My understanding is that our connection to both frequencies makes us recognizable to the Retrievee, whereas the higher frequency Guide is just out of their range and therefore renders them sufficiently invisible...that is where we come in.

The sad part is that the story of the 'gardener' may be a very common circumstance; It makes me think there are a lot of us humans hung out there in these little semi-purgatorial traps of our own misunderstanding of the Wider Reality. I get the impression that most will work their own way out, but we can sure speed the process up with retrievals. There is also the additional question of retrieving lost aspects of ourselves...that was one of the sessions at Monroe and a very powerful one for me...something to consider.

I think your hypothesis with this case about people dying in their sleep and then going on just as usual holds some merit. These cases seem quite common.

Thinking about this let me quote from some TMI (outreach, guest) trainers and known authors on OBE:

William Buhlman also hints to this 'semi-purgatorial trap' as you call it, when he talks about souls who just carry on with their lives after their (quiet) passing as if nothing has happened, mostly because they just don't know it, or if they do know or sense it they just think this is all they have and just 'continue' (mostly materialists maybe?). This nice quote is literally taken from his book (copied from the eBook):

Of course, it makes sense to assume that this not only applies to the place where they lived (bedroom, house) and fell asleep for good but any belief system territory they might end up in. They just 'stick' with it and carry on.

Trainer Luigi Sciambarella in one of his YouTube interviews (found it after some search: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nTQGm4s7YXI ) also hints at the occurrence of especially old people in need of being retrieved from their day-to-day situations because many just died in their sleep. He even recommends this as one of the easiest retrieval types since (quote) 'they only wait to be picked up'. Maybe that is why I am given this opportunity with older people as a beginner. Could be an easier task.

Trainer Oliver Tappe mentions a good example of this kind of retrieval in his book about his TMI experiences "(IN)VISIBLE: Out of Body Experiences and Explorations into the Afterlife":
One retrieval is of an elderly lady he encounters while she's just standing in her kitchen preparing dinner while she awaits her husband coming home from work (but he never comes). Oliver feels she actually might have been there 'for long' since she also looks a bit 'vintage', and iirc he even mentions that it feels like the 1970s or 1950s or so. Then somehow Oliver as a guest (she does not question his appearance though and talks to him) makes her aware of her husband arriving (not sure if at the time still alive or already deceased) who of course is just the guide in disguise and she joins him then and they walk up a stairway in the house leading into the light.

Btw (and as a short excursion), I really recommend Oliver's book about his training and work with the TMI, which is similar to Paul Elder's book 'Eyes of an Angel' that is also a great account about the TMI seminars. Moreover, Elder gives some more retrieval event reports that are very detailed. A fantastic read. (I saved all of these accounts as quotes for my future book on retrievals ... well, ... should it ever see the light of day, LOL). Needless to say I also recommend all of Buhlman's books anyway, of course he is known well round here already.

Event:

A short one: I get lucid in the Void and express my wish to do a retrieval again. I somehow land in a garden area. There are several people and I first wonder. I address the nearest one to me who is a a gardener / garden worker (older, end of 50s or around 60) doing his job by cutting some bushes. 
He instantly complains that his employer is not good and pays badly. Somehow he seems to be a contractor employed with a temp agency.
I tell him I have experience with working for temp agencies (not a lie, I did so many years ago) and I know a better one with fair pay and treatment.
I say that luckily even now there is a guy around the corner who is actually a recruiter for this better company. Then the recruiter (I already assume it's the guide) somehow quickly 'joins' us and starts talking to the man. They seem to get along and are making inroads. They walk off and then turn around the corner of a house and I feel my job is done.

Comments:

It was so short because a handover is happening asap when the guide (recruiter in this case) is nearby and ready, which they always seem to be in these cases.  It's an advantage for projectors like me who have not too many time at their disposal due to the impending instant fade-out threat.
So, besides the train station where I can help children board trains (see above for another retrieval), this seems to be the most ideal situation for me since it works so swiftly.
PS: If he is still into gardening, I hope he can now do it in the Park in Focus 27.

Mid-November, two months on, what had happened in the meantime? Well, not much. But I read a book.

Only a week after the surgery, I browsed Amazon and probably by some (divine? / higher self?) intuition instead of searching for books on NDE, which would only have been understandable and which I also did at later points in time, I typed 'out-of-body' into the search field. (Btw, Astral Projection was not a term I knew a lot about then, I heard it but did not even relate it to OBE, but rather to sth like dreams, a kind of clairvoyance or even meditation (all of which is not even entirely wrong, of course).)
Almost naturally, Buhlman's book "Adventures Beyond The Body" (in German it is even "Out Of Body") came first. I bought it and read it. I was absolutely astounded how "simple" it seemed to be and that you could really "walk" through your living room as a non-physical being, and all that not just when you were "near death".

I did the induction exercises (combined visualisation/tactile practice and affirmation). Only after a few days of finishing the book and starting the practice, very early I had those talked about "energy sensations" during the night: I heard strange sounds, remember a lifted stiff arm (I think Buhlman also mentions it in a list of possible 'events') and had inner 'energetic' jumps and movements - all while in bed sleeping or in hypnagogia or when waking up from it. I knew now I was in for more.

This lucadventure might be categorised as a very classic RTZ-OBE. However, and that makes it interesting, it is 'framed' by a lucid dream conversion and a postlude False Awakening (semi-lucid) dream. So we have 3 'classics' in one pack. (After an NDE-type experience 2 months prior to this, I now already had received a huge bag of non-physical experience ... not so bad for a first-timer, huh? )

1) Dream Conversion

I dream that I am flying a familiar street of my old hometown uphill, approx. 3 metres above the ground, which leads to the street of my parent's home. In physical life, I have went and cycled (as child and schoolboy) and later driven it up with my car countless times.
However, suddenly one thing really strikes me then. Not the fact that I am flying. It is rather the fact of HOW I am flying. I am making swimming movements (breaststroke). I notice that this is so utterly stupid and funny alike. Why am I SWIMMING through the air instead of 'normally' flying? At this very instant, this observation literally TRIGGERS my exit sensations, and something starts that I will never in my life forget.

2) Out-Of-Body exit / RTZ-projection

The view changes drastically. I am lucid. And I see the ceiling of my bedroom. Strange thing is that the room appears to be with the light on. I see everything clearly. I am lying on the back (unusual for me) and I also see one arm lifted (again!). It is stiff, I cannot move it, it is fixed up in the air. I also don't really feel it, it is like an alien part or an artificial limb attached to my (otherwise also paralysed but still 'felt') body. But I also don't want to change anything about it.. I want out and I know it has started now. "It" is, besides my new view, the 'energy sensations' I feel.

However they are NOT the famous 'vibrations' at all. I did not know these vibrations then. Only later I did. Today, I know them well, of course, and I can say that this was VERY VERY different! Those WERE NO VIBRATIONS at all!

Sorry if this bores you now a bit, but I need to try to give a description as detailed as possibly, becausee I have a suspicion now of what it could have been, which I could not have known either then or during the following days and events, due to a lack of knowledge about these matters. I will enlarge upon my question later in the Comments section, but now first my attempt to render a detailed description of what I felt and then mistook as 'common vibrations' (what a joke from today's POV). I have, so far for me, not read ANY account on exit sensations here or elsewhere that has stated anything similar to this, which makes my inquiry even more urgent now as it was then.

As said, those 'energy sensations' were nothing like vibrations. Those were BALL-LIKE WAVES along the SPINE. Heavy, violent and almost disruptive as it seemed. Not from head to toe but only through my torso (neck to lower intestines / genital area). I cannot conclusively remember anymore if they went up-down (from neck area on downwards) or vice versa. It could have gone either way or even with a changing of directions.
I did NOT feel any pain. Just movement. Possibly I heard roaring, crackling, sizzling, rustling sounds which more or less correlated with the intensity of the wave-balls' movements. One wave going through my body lasted possibly 1 - 1.5 seconds. The 'low-tide' intervals probably 1 to 2 seconds on average. Sometimes the intensities varied. I tried to give it a graphic expression here, you see it is not absolutely regular, intervals for the pauses (-) as well as for down- or upward moving wave 'blobs' (O, o, 0) vary:

--O--O---o----O---0--o---O--O--o--> (time direction)

There are two words I would like to use to describe the whole movement: Orgasmic/Ejaculative and Peristaltic. But all that without the respective body feelings (unfortunately in the first case ).
So it was as if my torso would have been a great GIANT PENIS at the very moment of ejaculation or a part of the digestive system while it's transporting and processing its content in peristaltic muscle movements.
Another good way to compare it to would be strong electric jolts, but again and - in this case fortunately - without any feelings, just the "movement".

Again just to give an impression on what is meant by 'peristaltic' (mostly used in connection with pumps or the human digestive system), consider it like shown on the graph or the video, but only much much faster (1 wave-interval per 1-2 second or so):

So I hope you get the idea of what I went through - or better: what went through me - then!

And I was and still am sure it was 'not physical' at all. (How could it be ??! This is not the nervous system. I also should have felt pain then, I should have been bursting into parts! Any scoffers should explain it to me or better try experience this for themselves, and then they will admit: "this stuff is f***** real!")

What is even more strange, and it makes me marvel about myself (and I am not a warrior-type of guy!): I stayed completely calm. I let it happen. Maybe there was a kind of attitude involved telling me sth like "hey, you begged for it, so here we go, now don't complain and grit your teeth and get to it!". Maybe it was still due to my hypnagogic / trance-like state. But why did I not get out of it?
And that is not the entire story. I also endured it (knowing that it would ease off soon) because it was somehow FAMILIAR. It is a "I've-been-there-before"-feeling. But why and how? Discussion see below.

After it waned (or even when it was gone completely, not sure anymore) I started to lift. Possibly the subconscious reason for my lifted arm then was that I wanted to use it as a kind of 'launch ramp' all the time. That's another hint to a strange familiarity .. as said, this was my first conscious and deliberate projection, I had not done this before.

So I went out and the first thing to note is: The room was dark again as I slowly soared to my room's ceiling. I looked ahead then for the short time I looked at the wall and ahead again, the ceiling (immersed in darkness now again) before me.

It should be noted, I also had a strange voice when talking to myself shortly (or "thinking aloud"), it was somehow vibrating, sounding high and modulated (not the human-like female voice, that's a different story again). I don't remember anymore what I said to myself then, possiby some "oh"s or "ah"s only. That, however, again, was not orgasmic either.

Now the next funny thing: I stopped at the ceiling. And I did not know what to do. Then the idea to just "turn around". Turning around of what? Of me. But what is me? I have no idea if I had a "body" then because I had not paid attention to it/myself. I was just a cloud or point of consciousness during the whole exit.

Then I just "turned around" (no, it seemed I did not have the purported 360 degrees vision, I really shifted somehow). Looking down where me in the bed should have been I first only saw darkness. Then I concentrated (thinking also about BUhlman's short commands such as 'clarity now' or 'vision now'). After a while I could see a figure lying there on the side (not on the back). After a while I also could make out the face clearly. It was me. I looked pale in the darkness, almost a bit like a moon face.

But you know what striked me most about this, even today when I remember it (and which is possibly also responsible for the moon face appearance)? The kind of picture that really clings to my memory now that first comes to my mind when I remember this event, making this an almost iconic representation of this whole lucidventure:
The very weirdness of SEEING YOUR OWN FACE WITH CLOSED EYELIDS. I looked so 'strange' (in a double sense) that I even did not clearly recognise myself for a second because of this 'alienating' view. When do we see ourselves with closed eyelids? Logically, we don't in mirrors. On photo snapshots when we were blinded by flashlights or on surprise snapshots possibly. But "live" at the same instant? This picture sticks with me, probably for the rest of this life! I will never forget the picture of that guy that is me down there in the bed 'asleep' with closed eyelids. Even today, I count this experience among the top-ten of strange sensations and experiences of my adventures.

After I had 'identified' myself without the slightest doubt, which was otherwise not so difficult since all was 'realistic' and there were no dream imagery or reality fluctuations involved, I decided (wisely and as recommended for newbies) to cut it short and 'go back' immediately. I just went down, which was then much faster than going up.
However, before I re-integrated, another remarkable observation. First, for a split-second I saw my face 'close-up'. Secondly, I heard my breathing (exhale) - but different, as if still somehow from the outside.

3) False Awakening

I got up and went into the bathroom. I passed some time there, also looking at myself into the mirror. All looked normal. I reflected on the things passed now. I was happy at my success of 'astral projecting'. Then, only after quite a while, I thought to myself 'hey, why not go to my parent's bedroom now, and wake them and tell them what happened?'. Then I realised what a strange idea this was. (Possibly it was caused by the dream I had before about flying to my parent's home). Why did I say that? I was an adult now and I had not live with my parents in their home for many many years now. Then I realised that I was still dreaming and woke up.

Analysis / Afterthoughts

First of all, sorry, I will keep further posts on lucidventures much much shorter. I just felt the need to enlarge upon this, since it was my first 'projection', and due to all those circumstances and detailed memory. Therefore I restrict this section (although much more would be to say for me here) only to the issues of FAMILIARITY and KUNDALINI.

The issue of FAMILIARITY with those waves amazes me even today. Perhaps, in our super/sub-conscious memories and as reincarnating beings, we all "know" this already since it is similar to what happens when we die. Or perhaps I had/did this as a child in this life and just don't remember. Or I was a keen projector in a previous life. Or Perhaps I really only thought that THIS were the famous vibrations I read about (what a joke!). But today I know there were NO VIBRATIONS. Those were different. I had only one further experience like this a few days later. After the again-violent exit it failed due to exit blindness and fear issues.
Fear issues also kept me from going on then. I read more books on the topic. Monroe's first book actually increased my fears, it was so different from Buhlman's optimitic take on the issue. Then I read Bruce's Astraldynamics and while I did so, I sometimes had the feeling that I was falling out of my body in waking state! That was enough for me! I actually decided to have a break of a few months, not trying anything. I needed a rest (who should blame me after all that, I had my proper dosage, after all)? So I slammed the door shut again at the end of the year and I did not have any experiences (Sometimes I even affirmed "I stay inside my body" before sleeping!).

Maybe someone more experienced in this matter can answer this. Recently I came to suspect that it might actually have been a KUNDALINI-like experience (note the added "-like", please!). Here, people also report on spine-related 'snake'-like heavy energy sensations. If you look at the video I linked, you see that 'peristalctic' movement is indeed pretty 'snaky' if seen from a specific angle. But they also tell of body cramps and even danger of life. I did not feel this way although the waves also had a 'crampy' aspect to them. Of course, since mainly the torso was affected, it is highly likely for me that the energy was using a 'channel' that leads up/down the physical spine through which the 'awakened' energy was streaming in brutal thrusts of different intensity.
I could so far not really bother to dig deeper into the topic of Kundalini. If someone can tell me it is NOT Kundalini-related, I am fine. I wasn't keen on any Kundalini-experience so far. And if it was Kundalini, well, so be it, but I am even less keen to live through this again for understandable reasons. Two times is enough and I am happy in the end that later (according to logfile starting Feb 2010) I discovered that 'vibrations' are something very very different from that!

There are many dates given for the end of Kali Yuga. It's confusing.

Yes, I've read here and there too that it would be 'soon' or even 'now' (this year) and a positive shift will be occurring then but there are other (hindi, astronomical, etc.) sources that state something very differently.

I am not at all a Wikipedia fan for many reasons, but there it says it will be in the year 428,899 CE. So we would need to wait 'a little' longer. 

This weekend I happened to watch the German qualification show for that infamous "Eurovision Song Contest" (in May this year).
The candidates had to play cover versions for this first round. Some did some surprisingly cool stuff even though (or because?) it was very different from the originals.

Years ago I was on a market place and decided to try a chocolate cake. Did not have pay for it (no currency in the astral needed I suppose). The trader just gave it to me.

It tasted a bit like chocolate indeed but also somewhat peculiar and 'awkward' in a a way. Hard to describe.

I think that eating is one of the things we are in the physical to experience. And 'astral taste' shows us why.

It's not wrong to make plans and have goals. It's only human and thus only 'normal'. But it is very right to say that you should not be 'attached' to the outcome because that is an 'attachment' of sorts and it is best to avoid that.

So yes, as the saying goes: the 'way is the goal' or 'the journey is the reward' is very true.

Manifestation happens in the present moment accompanied by positive emotion when we 'envisage' the 'goal' of being in the 'Now' already. We need not be 'attached' to past failures (or successes) nor to future outcomes (again: good or bad).

You know the funny thing is, I get those "phantom doorbells" too during Hypnagogia, but my actual doorbell doesn't work, and I still get "punked" by it. Lol!     

Same here!!    Forgot to mention it but I even dismantled the doorbell myself about 3 years ago because it always startled me and I can't stand it at all. If s.o. pushed it nowadays you would only hear a very soft humming sound at all, so the sound is 'historic' and yes, I get 'punked' and even more startled by it too.
What I get a lot recently is the front door being slammed. But no one used it when I check.

My hypnogogic occurrences typically consist of a loud "Hey!" which then leads to lots of wall scratching and occasional thumping sounds. No doorbells yet. Lots of visuals though.

I often get my first name called. Sometimes by known voices (e.g. recently my mother, she's alive still, so I suspected a telepathic origin), sometimes by voices I don't know.

I get knocks and doorbells a lot. Sometimes voices calling me. But it all happens exclusively in hypnagogic state. It is not physical in my case. When I then get up and check I find nothing.

I interpret it as a message of s.o. from the non-physical trying to communicate with me. The doorbell or phone ringing is probably a literal 'call' from otherwhere.

For me it's currently Metal of different subgenres, mostly Progressive and Mystic/Spiritual Metal such as e.g. Tool, Opeth, Gojira, etc.
But also (Alternative, Classic or Progressive) Rock.
As a specialty I love Nordic (Viking) Folk like Wardruna (saw them live in concert last week and it was breathtakingly awesome).

Interesting! I see teal and grey...but with a really faint, underlying pink behind the grey.

Same result here. I think my tendency is left-brained though (I'm an artist and musician) but I also have this 'analytical' or 'rational' side in me and actually therefore consider myself kinda 'whole-brained'.   

hi im new here my name i TIB. ive been trying to astral project for 2 years with full effort now
the first things i tried was doing it with wbtb and waking up at night disrupting my rem cycle
ive been doing my practice with meditation for the last 8 months because i have severe chronic pain so i have to meditate to keep the pain under control a bit so i was like why not try to astral project  while meditating
and now im at the point that i always get to the point im in 3d blackness but i cant seem to exit
so if anyone has some tips or anyting i can try reply to my message

Being in the 3D-Blackness (The Void) suggests you are actually already 'kind of' projected. If you want to leave the Void to enter a certain reality you can e.g. hold your astral hands of your energy body before you and clap or rub them against each other. If that is difficult because you still don't feel a 'body' then first imagine it. Then after a few seconds often the area brightens up (sometimes slowly) and you fade into an astral scenario of your (mostly subconscious) choice. At least that's how it worked for me quite often.

I feel like Adrian. It's definitely also Monty Python and Fawlty Towers for me. John Cleese is my favourite (English-speaking) comedian. 'MP and the Holy Grail' will always be my fav comedy movie.

Also loved the 'Naked Gun' movies.

Well, maybe one has to have worked for some years in a white-collar office environment like me. I loved it. Great mockumentary satire.

The British original version with Ricky Gervais (also one of my fav international comedians) is my favourite.

However, it shares #1 with... (drum roll ...) the German version called 'Stromberg' - which I assume nobody knows here, but believe it or not, it was really good, but also very 'different', and they even made a crowd-funded cinema movie in the end.

The US version is also good, at least the first seasons I liked. I loved the  crazy character Dwight Schrute!, but the show altogether is only on rank #3 for me. And the latter seasons weren't any good imv. They had lost momentum.

However, there is another English language brand-new Australian version out now. I watched the first season on Amazon Prime only 2 weeks ago but I have to say it was rather disappointing. Reviews also were not too good (IMDB has a 4.4 out of 10 rating). Maybe it is too much of a cheap (late) copy of the US version, or maybe the franchise in general has run out of steam by now. (Apologies if there's any Aussies here, no offence meant, just my honest opinion).

A literal classic from 2009 I rewatched recently. How unfortunate that Mr Newport discontinued his 'Lucidology' videos (his website still exists though).

 

It worked I was completely detached into the dark void. It felt nice to be back there. As I kept letting go into the void. The once again familiar purple vortex began unfolding. I was falling in the vortex, wondering if I ever will make my way through it (I have tried before but never do). It was nice being there, but I woke up just as the purple vortex began to stengthen. I wonder if I will ever find out where it leads or what it is. I've been in it before.

Some comments on the purple vortex topic:

A time ago I had some experiences with the purple vortex/spiral/galaxy thing. For me it seemed to indicate a kind of portal or gateway to a network to either other dimensions or planets. An alternative interpretation was that it is a database like an Akashic/Cosmic Wiki because I also experienced the Earth being displayed as a kind of interface to gain information from. Sounds weird I know, it is (or was) another research project of mine but I got stuck with doing other things or nothing due to lack of OBE opportunities (maybe in part also due to life's occassional hurdles and hardships like you have).

Btw, I searched now and re-found the thread I made here almost a year ago about a "purple vortex" in the Void back then (a kind of started "Void 2.0" project for me). Unfortunately so far it was discontinued for the stated reasons above. So if s.o. is interested you may read here:
