Thank you for the kind words kailyuga, we are glad to have you here, searching and growing like the rest of us and happy to help where we can.

Soarin12 is exactly right; many of us start with rough, undeniable vibrations and they slowly diminish over the years.  When I get them now, it is middle of the night, and they feel like a visit from an old friend, smoother and refined so much that often, I just slide back into sleep without taking advantage of their occurrence.

They are a nice confirmation early on that you are ready to apply an exit technique, but not a necessity for transition.

Keep working along the lines you are, study the advice you have been given by some very experienced projectors. You are very close and will get the trick to an exit soon!

Kaliyuga,

Where you are is completely normal...you are getting energy and exit sensations but are now stuck. The next part is convincing your inner/higher self that you can and want to do this. It's a little bit of a fear test, a little bit a permission test. Ok, completely normal...

Try some positive affirmations, asking and or giving yourself permission to do this.

Word it positively, repeat it three times every morning and evening.

An alternative is to ask before bedtime for a dream or communication to clarify what your particular difficulty is. Ask and you shall receive...maybe you get something symbolic...

Best of luck, EV

Any questions, do ask...

My advice -quit the Galantamine; it will become a crutch and finally, a handicap.

2 -Explore a variety of techniques; I like the WBTB early on...

3 -A big part of this initially, is that many of us get stuck for various, sometimes small, sometimes significant reasons; it can be very difficult to diagnose for others. You may need to explore finding inner permission, from yourself, from your higher self. You may just need more practice, more reps. You may be focussing on the wrong subtle aspects of the trance/exit process. Read more, study more, get reps, ask permission from high and low, inner and outer.

4 -This could just be me working on my empathic sensibilities trying to read you, but I get something both from your title and post that tells me you may be avoiding an issue that may be holding you back and is staring you in the face. Is there anything in this that strikes a chord?
#1054
Glad that helped.

Pushing yourself, giving yourself suggestions, at various times is helpful and necessary; the timing is variable. More is probably better, quality is important. We are all different.

Take whatever you are getting and push it, work with it. There you will find the openings. You already are getting the entrance experiences...look for the subtleties, the nuances of the experience that will help bridge to the next set of experiences. This is part of your NP mindset you are developing. Ongoing stuff...enjoy!

Hello Plato,

Welcome to the Pulse!

A fully conscious, controlled exit is one of the more difficult accomplishments; unless you're just a natural or have had a lot of experiences and learned the subtleties of your personal awareness as it moves along the process of exiting/phasing. Most of us, at least early on, experience a brief disconnection or loss of consciousness during the shift. There is nothing wrong with that.

The fact that you are noticing some 'exit sensations' such as hypnagogia, SP, vibrations, waves, etc. means that you are close.

Something to consider is that more than one process can be at play here. You are not just reading and practicing exit techniques, you are also undergoing an internal discussion/negotiation within yourself, seeking permission within to have an OBE. You can help this along by repeating some affirmations every day at appropriate times. Something like-

"I ask permission and the assistance of my Higher Self to have an out of body experience."

"I am safe and protected when I am out of body."

Say three times, rinse, repeat... :-D

Another thing to keep in mind is that you should be looking for opportunities wherever you can find them. Any time you are on the edge of sleep, coming out of or going into, you should be on the lookout for the right moment and state of mind. You won't immediately know what characteristics mark that state of mind, you have to stumble into it the first several times, then you will begin to see how calm and quiet and balanced your mind must be. So try in the middle of the night, try an hour or two before you would normally awaken, try an afternoon nap on your day off or the weekend. To find the opportunities you need to have reps... this is why Xanth is asking you about your Lucid dreaming ability. LDs are a great indirect method for finding an exit.

As far as techniques, check the first and third Group Headings for PersonalReality's "How I got out for the first time", Xanth's E Book and Primer, Szaxx's Astral Blueprint, Bedeekin's Method, The Wiggle Method. Lots of good reading in all that...

A final thought -Part of achieving an 'exit' is having a goal once you do get 'out'. It can be that frustratingly simple at times, that your Higher Self won't help/allow you to exit because What's the point?! You haven't stated a goal for when you DO get out! This is all part of a crucial concept in Non Physical Experience that you will need to be aware of -Intention. Everywhere you want to go, see or everything you do must have a firmly understood intention behind it. Quite often that intention must be expressed or demonstrated. There's no standing around, navel-gazing or loitering allowed; you'll get swept away or, more usually, the experience will simply end and you're left wondering why. So have a destination in mind, whether it's visiting your living room or your friend or the moon; you can leave the driving to your Higher Self but you do have to express the desire, such as -Show me what I need to learn! or Show me my highest potential!

Hope that gives some ideas

The argument about gravity can go on, as well arguments about the other forces.

For our discussions, the argument remains more closely aligned with understanding and defining individual experience within NPR experiences; those within local boundaries and those beyond.

What are you experiencing within these broadly defined boundaries? That's the fun stuff...
#1057
No...we don't know what gravity is. What I have read over the last several years, it is the most observable, yet least understandable of the four basic fundamental universal forces.

We haven't defined it as a wave property, nor as a particle, nor as an exchange of forces or particles. It affects everything in the Universe; it is the weakest of the Forces, yet the most far-reaching, and still we don't understand how it manifests.
#1058
You can't "muscle" it. It's actually quite the opposite.

If you don't get this distinction, then it just won't happen for you. It's far more subtle. But yes, it is like a new muscle you have to awaken and exercise.

Be calm, meditate, and ask to be shown...

Excellent experience soarin!

The hypno guy sitting on your bed and your allowing him to zip into you -if you recall in Leland's books, he describes "the lightning-rod effect" which allows recently-passed souls to discharge negative or unexpressed emotions through living human channels, freeing them of this negative energy baggage so that they can continue on to their Life Review. This involves their finding a willing channel that is dealing with and discharging their own similar emotions that the passed soul can sort of piggyback. It also requires you to give permission for this to happen, which it seems you did.

Do you think this is a possibility? Was there any emotion attached to the process that you might have noticed?

Having just read some more on the idea in The Unanswered Question, the thought popped right out at me.
#1060
Lol. I can't resist cranking this one turn tighter-

Wherever you are, there you are.
#1061
The dream journal helps greatly;... the idea and suggestion to become aware in your dreams leads to LDs, then noticing dream triggers gets you aware in your dreams...all that helps and is to a degree necessary...then you find whatever moments are available to you: a nap or a midnight wake up, that gives you the opportunity for an exit or a NP experience. You can't be sure how or when it may occur...just remain open to it and be ready to respond...and then move on from there. Depending on what you experience, advice can then be given...
#1062
Good projection and well described!

Don't worry about the presence/fear, treat them the way you did: notice them but don't give them any energy and they will remain low level or disappear altogether. Not giving them energy means not getting excited or emotional with fear...this is one of your first tests, learning emotional control. Stay calm and cool.

It's like scuba diving... Understand the breathing and the physical control, stabilise, then take a look around...

Well done!
#1063
Have you added to your affirmations the suggestion to "come aware" in your dreams or to "notice" any dream triggers? It's good to add to and change up your affirmations from time to time, you never know what might hit a hot button.

Your awareness in this series of dreams indicates you are close, and once you go lucid, you really go!

Have fun!

Good advice from both Bluefirephoenix and Stillwater-

Like SW says, write the middle, then write the ends; it all may change over time: the argument, the presentation, the conclusion, the style, the approach. Accept that this may (or should) take some months or even years.

Like Bfp says, find your most important theme or message and leave a trail of breadcrumbs to it.

Then publish any which way you can.

Best of luck!

Try reading some of the pertinent Stickies in the first and third Forums.

The key lies somewhere in having your physical body rested just enough that it can still fall asleep, yet the "drag" of the physical body is not so much that it drags down the consciousness with it. Middle of the night wake-ups, early morning wake-ups, middle of the day naps are all good examples of this.

Look for this situation, set your intent to project and then calmly observe the process.
#1066
If you go to the Astral Chat Forum, then to Member's Artwork, then to page 9 (currently), scroll down halfway and you will find some pieces by Summerlander which I can identify with as very genuine representations of NP experiences that mostly defy verbal description: Wierdos in the Phase, Phantom Limbs, stages of etheric/astral exit (my title), Mirror Reflection (which is very close to what I experienced on my first mirror observation [freaky!] what Szaxx calls the meatsack), Focus 1 Experience (excellent), More Madness.

IMO, all very good translations of the experience.
#1067
Well, with what you have written, the situation changes a bit.

If You get sensations while fully awake, that points to your being pretty open, energetically, to these Wider Reality experiences. It will be confusing until you can put it into some kind of order. I'm not the best to help you with that in this particular instance; maybe Szaxx or Bluefire or another can point you in the right direction.

What I can help you with is that, when you are "out", or in an "experience" of sorts, just go with the flow as best you can, trust your innate intuition, and see where you go. Always trust that you are completely safe and protected. If the experience moves into these areas, you are being tested, go with it and push yourself!

Having fun yet? :-D
#1068
The high-pitched hissing sound indicates to me that you are shifting awareness, despite the tea and sandwich; damn, that's a nice recliner, lol, so maybe this is a thought form you are somehow forming and setting loose and so your doggie reacts to it...or maybe you do have a presence there, lurking around.

In a meditative state you can ask for it to leave or command it to leave or ask for a clarifying dream or perception on the whole situation. Then go from there, is this exclusive to this home? Maybe this place has a ghost or a remnant, of sorts?

I hope some of these ideas help.

Hello chance7hope!

There is a lot of great information here, so take time to check some of it out. Beyond that, questions are then welcome!

If you are experiencing vibrations, it can still be difficult to choose the right time and method to realize a transition. Just let it happen with a gentle Intent. Part of this may also involve giving yourself permission to do so.

Try adding an affirmation every night and before every attempt- "I give myself permission to have an Out Of Body Experience."  repeat 3 times then rinse, lol...
#1070
I doubt that you have attracted some entity into your home, but I don't rule it out also. But it's like 98% to 2%...

What you are describing sounds exactly like Hypnogogia as you are falling asleep or Hypnopompia, as you are waking up. Look up those terms on Wikipedia and read the Sticky "Everything you wanted to know about sleep paralysis".

What's making the dogs act up is interesting, nonetheless.

Read those, think upon it, and share your thoughts.

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: The awareness in dreams
August 30, 2014, 00:35:11
It sounds like you are making progress. Your focus on OBE and LD techniques has led to your subconscious dreaming self recognizing a nightmare and shutting it down.

It may have been an instinctive response and seemingly something beyond your conscious control, but that is just for the moment, your awareness will build from this.

Think about this and the 'connection' you're trying to establish with your dreaming self.

Maybe try an affirmation now- "I am aware in my dreams and I have control." Say it three times every night for a few weeks. See what happens.

Well done!
#1072
What Szaxx is saying is...forget/let go your physical form...go with the energy that is presented to you. Quit fighting and go with whatever flow is presented to you.

This will take a few seconds of uncomfortable accommodation, but you should quickly adjust; just allow it to happen.

Yes, your guides are watching/helping.
#1073
I'm glad that resonated with you Loosh!

You are going through some of the same experiences and have instinctively come up with the best 'shadow people' responses by simply commanding them to dismiss themselves. Beautifully done!

Waking up like that takes a lot of instant willpower to fight off the urge just to roll over and go back to sleep.

Have you tried affirmations?

Set your alarm across the room so you have to get up to turn it off; then stay up for twenty minutes or more.
#1075
The UFO/alien imagery strikes me as an archetype that your subconscious is using to get your attention, to get you lucid, a Dream Trigger. There may be more of a connection but only you can determine that; but don't get too carried away with this.

The 'hat men' and 'shadow people' that you encounter in SP are entirely normal, figments of your subconscious to literally spook you. This is a Fear Test; you will get them from time to time and in many forms. Further Tests involve the sexual urge, patience, frustration, anger, problem-solving...etc. Just 'notice' them, stay calm and ignore them and they will lose any power they may have. Go with the flow. Your instinct to move away from your physical is exactly right until you decide how to stay and fight this fight (which is to NOT fight at all).

No one is watching you sleep or messing with your dreams...except maybe some Guide(s) or your Higher Self.

The earlier posts and theories you discussed that I was referring to involved Tulpas and thoughtforms. You recognized that the people you encountered were not your mother and brother. They were likely thoughtforms, and the "We consume souls while humans sleep" sounds to me like a classic line churned out by your subconscious, again a Fear Test. A good one! That would get my attention too! You had a brief bout of fear but rebounded with the love-energy protection command and this ended the experience.

JMO but the reason you had the dream, awoke in a False Awakening, and faced various fear episodes was all a learning experience. And you did well, you passed!

Someone gave you a Lesson.
