NO MAGIC INSIDE HEXAGRAM, ALSO NO JEW OR WITCH OUTSIDE OF IT!

Mr. Azaithoth, you were almost making sense, until you got to this.

In my experience, all the (real) magical practitioners who call themselves witches are very concerned with the MANIFESTING (6).  They use their knowledge of magic (i.e., "the way things work" - "the quantum mechanics of the cosmos") to manifest reality in accordance with their Intent.  Witchcraft is a PRACTICAL CRAFT, like woodworking, cooking, sex . . . all those worldly, physical arts.

So yes, witchcraft is hexagramic, but it is still magic. Also, Pentagram magic was "grafted on" to european witchcraft practices when some witches began to practice ceremonial magic. Modern Wicca, for instance, is a combination of witchcraft, ceremonial magic, european shamanic/tribal practices, and religious beliefs. Not my cup of tea, but still a valid way of practicing magic in the modern world.

Yeah, those million people would knock their heads together and design an engine that runs on sugar-water!

Anyway, I know of three (maybe more) effective ways to increase prosperity in one's life.  Prosperity, after all, means more than just money, but money is a good start, especially if you ain't got none! (PS: I am presuming everyone is responsible and either has a job, or is looking for one!)

Simplest:  Burn a green candle.  Think about prosperity. Wear green.  Not because it is the color of money, but because it is the color of health and prosperity.

Small effort:  Read up on Feng Shui and clean up your money corner in your house, and add something moving (wind chime or a small electric fountain), alive (plant) and/or reflective (mirror or crystal). While standing in your doorway, the money-corner is at the far left, in the back.  If that corner is a dark mess, your finances are probably a mess too.

Little bit more continuing effort:  Get a large silver or crystal bowl. Fill it 3/4 with clean water.  Put it in a high-traffic area in your house.  Every time you pass by the bowl, raid your pockets and throw in your loose coins.  Interestingly, others will pass the bowl and start throwing in their own coins (like a wishing well).  There is something about the play of water, light and silver that is irresistable. Touch the money only when the bowl is filled or you have to change the water. It adds up fast! Magic, wow!

This phenomenon is eternal. The Power-Structure will resort to ANYTHING - and I mean anything, from the occult, to brainwashing, to brute force - for the sake of "power-over."   So you will have the SS/Nazis . . . but you also have just about every other "secret" masonic-style Order everywhere else in the world, from China to South America. Like magic, the techniques of world domination are universal.

You will find this phenomenon in EVERY SINGLE CULTURE that holds extreme masculinity, domination, and strength among its highest values.  Which basically means, with the exception of a few small cooperative tribal cultures, the problem is GLOBAL.  That is because most cooperative cultures are annihilated by the dominators!

But it is one thing to rage against the machine . . . and quite another thing to escape or transcend it.  The things you do every day either feed this Machine, or starve it.

The way OUT is sneaky and subversive. Your rage AGAINST something only serves to feed it more.

I bought two money-dolls when I was in New Orleans, just for fun.  The first came from a tourist shop and it looked just like a stuffed cloth doll, with wires inside so the doll could be shaped in a variety of ways.  The second doll came from a real voodoo-mambo (priestess), who, incidentally, gave me the best reading of my life.  Anyway, this second doll was pretty gruesome looking, made of that old hanging tree moss, with a clay head, pennies for eyes, and a pointy amethyst sticking out of her forehead.  Both dolls had bracelets around their necks.  Interestingly, I've started wearing the bracelet from the more gruesome doll; in fact I am wearing it today!  Probably because I've recently realized that everything the mambo told me during that fateful reading came true!

Anyway, a voodoo doll should be made of so-called "natural" materials (cotton, grass, wood, whatever!).  You can make it any way you wish.  In fact, if you are in a hurry, you can draw a happy face on a popsicle stick!

Sorry Seeker, I have nothing!  I learned it all in college, many years ago . . . a lot of work with sexuality and gender identity, family issues, etc. etc................ and a minor in Native American studies.

There are human hermaphrodites.  Usually, when a child is born this way, the parents decide what sex they want their child to be, and a sex change (? sex-reduction ?) operation is performed right away.  Sometimes the parents make the wrong choice, and then their "little girl" grows up wanting to be a boy!  Hermaphrodites, understandably, often end up in therapy.

In the native american tribes, hermaphrodites were believed to be most powerful, and they were trained to be medicine-men/women.  Even non-hermaphrodite medicine men/women adopted the dress and mannerisms of the opposite sex to merge the male-female aspects and increase their power.

This is how my source explains it.

The six-sided star (hexagram), thought to be Solomon's Seal or the Sign of David, actually had nothing to do with David or Solomon.  It was not mentioned in Jewish literature until 11AD and not adopted as a Jewish emblem until 16AD.

The real history of the hexagram has to do with Tantra, where the symbol represented union of the sexes.  The downward pointing triangle was the Female Primordial Image, or Yoni Yanta. The upward pointing triangle was the spark of life, the male half, the bindu.  Together, they are the Primordial Androgyne, the Great Yantra.

The personification of the Great Yantra was Bindumati, who was described in myth as a sacred harlot.   So yes, we are talking about sex magic, sex magic, sex magic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Union of male and female. The imagery and practices were adopted by those who studied the Cabala.  King Solomon practiced the magic of the hexagram (my goodness, have you read his poetry?????????????)

And, the german word "Hexe," for witch, then, would be used in reference to someone who engaged in these practices, and a Hex is a witch's spell.

The associations with the number six are interesting - Greek HEX, Latin SEX, cognate with Egyptian SEXEN (to embrace or copulate)

Perhaps this is why the old Christian authorities called 6 the number of sin!   And don't get me started on the triple-six . . . .

So, in answer to your question, Azaithoth, I think the connections between 6, hexagram, and entropy have to do with the physical manifestations of the union between male and female:  SEX in the entropic, physical world!  And the negative connotations are probably a holdover from Christian attitudes toward sex and the physical world, which to the Catholics were sinful and to be avoided/transcended at all costs.

So, now that the news is out, should the witches start wearing the 6-pointed star, instead of the pentagram?  The answer will depend on their practice, actually, ha ha! [:P]

You really make me laugh you know. Really shows what kind of twat you are being. You either have no idea or are just playing stupid! *shakes head*

Giggle!   Twat = Tuat =  Egyptian underworld; sometimes a uterine cavity, sometimes a great snake around the world's outer rim.  Yes, I am a twat-tuat, giggle! [;)] Yeah, I know the sWords!

Ah, but I digress.  You were given the key to this mystery, but you threw it in the lake, choosing instead to pick at the lock with your fingernail clippers.  It is a pity, because when people ask, I like to tell them, but you are young, so perhaps someday you will figure it out on your own before you're a vindictive, lonely old man!

By killing the scorpion, I was not referring to you as a Scorpio (I find many Scorpios compellingly sexy). I was/still am referring to your ugly, vindictive, reactionary, cruel mean-streak that lashes out every time you feel threatened or challenged. This is the scorpion you need to kill if you want a strong, intelligent woman as a partner.  Because right now, only the stupid weak ones will let you near them, the ones that don't know how to run.

Ha ha ha!!!!!!!!!!  James can judge the applicants!

JC, I dunno . . . I think you have to shave your legs to be in this club!  (giggle)  However, we may ned to make a special exemption for european women, ha ha!  Where are the european women, anyway.  Wait a wminute . . . where are all the women, period?  They come, and poof! they go . . . Nay, I think we're the big hold-outs!  What's up with that!

Perhaps a translation is in order.

You stated, basically, that you are looking for a match, the one who is just like you - - another "Scorpion."

Your match is in the mirror.  Your match is another man.  This is why Azaithoth teases you so mercilessly.

If you are looking for your match in a woman, therefore, you will always come up emptyhanded!  If you wish to succeed, start looking for your polar opposite!

Also, if you REALLY yearn for companionship, kill the scorpion.  They are solitary, cranky creatures unfit for human companionship.  My bobcat-teacher tells me they are crunchy and good with ketchup anyway.

Skymage, you might notice that I am an administrator.

Azaithoth is baiting you so that you will show your true colors.  I might add, it is working!

TO ALL:  What he says to you says less about you, than your reactions to him.  Your reactions say EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!

In his own cruel, perverse manner, he is baiting you for your own good. Not exactly MY method of teaching, which is usually kinder, but takes longer to sink in.  Azaithoth's method is explosive and cuts-to-the-quick. "What doesn't kill you will make you stronger." He throws the flaming sword at you, and you have to do something.  But what?  Run to mom? Not exacly a power-response!

So, anyway, are you gonna die on us, or are you gonna learn?  Your next reaction to his words will tell all.

The differences in labeling (that is all it is, labeling) are largely cultural.  Basically, magic is what it is.  Either you practice or you do not.  How good you are at it depends on a variety of factors. Some people are better at it than others.

Problems arise when people lock definitions in their minds and then slam other people who use other labels, or use the same labels differently.  Semantics, all semantics!  It causes a lot of problems.

There is also much misunderstanding in the field.  Wicca and paganism are so popular today, there are thousands who believe they are "witches" or "pagans" or "magical practitioners" simply due to their beliefs.  For instance, "witch" is a label, and Wiccans are using the label in a certain way.  Other magical practitioners, who see the Craft as a Craft, rather than a set of beliefs, look upon wicca with disdain.

Also, there are many "urban pagans" (an oxymoron if there ever was one) who are inspired by the Old Ways but don't truly practice them, except in the most shallow of fashions (fashion is a good word!). Real pagans get real annoyed at this.

In the final analysis, there are enough Egos to go around to keep people squabbling over labels and practices until the end of time.

Some people have the attitude that if one is never going to be a Real Sorcerer, then one should not bother learning about magic.  I heartily disagree with them!  I do agree, however, that people should be honest with themselves about what they are really aspiring to, and what they are looking for. Most people who call themselves witches and sorcerers and magical practitioners, simply ARE NOT. A good hard look at your life will tell you what you really are!

It is said that art imitates life. However . . . how about life imitating art?  That happens too . . . just think of all the inventions since Star Trek.

If a powerful movie can tranform the minds of enough people, these people will create a consensus reality and behave AS IF these ideas were real . . . and eventually for them it WILL be real.  So-called reality will shape itself to conform to their beliefs.  Magic is funny that way.

This is why, I believe movie makers should be mindful of what they create, since movies are so powerful, and reach so many people. In a sense, they are modern magic-workers. But would they listen to me?  NAH.

You are close!  OBE and lucid dreams are very similar, the main differences being 1) how you got there and 2) your level of conscious awareness.   Working with lucid dreams will improve your ability to have an OBE from a waking state.  Go for it!

neg means negative entity, but I really don't think it was a neg.

In general . . . and I mean this, guys! . . . the discarnate beings who are most interested in you are related to you in some way.  This person could be an ancestral spirit or a guide, a part of your family line.

So, don't jump to conclusions!  The next time it happens, say "hello!"  I have discovered from experience that asking them what they want is more productive than asking them who they are.  Because, on the astral, "who" seems almost irrelevant.  It's hard to explain.

I am definitely more powerful when I have PMS.  It also makes me more dangerous.

My dreams and flash-visions are more frequent intense the week before my period.  I also have more out-of-body experiences.  I feel things more keenly, and pick up on people's emotions and their intent much more easily.  My Force is laser-sharp and my magic slams hard!

Fortunately for humanity, I am not a cruel person by nature, and my ego is usually in check.  My magic focuses on clarity of vision for all . . . it's just that when I have PMS I do not concern myself with whether or not people find this clarity upsetting or offensive.  Also, when I see injustice, sexism, stupidity, or cruelty when I have PMS, I am much less willing to tolerate it, and much more willing to take fierce and corrective action, using magical or practical means, regardless of the consequences.

Best physical feature:  Killer legs!  Nay, we have to start a club or something.

Something profound:  Life is profoundly sensual.

How many aspirations to live out?  How about all of them? How about, to be as sexy as Sophia Loren when I am her age, ha ha!

International Holiday:  Something about melted chocolate, I'll have to think of something.

Selfless acts?  Probably, none.  Everything I do is selfish, even the nice stuff.  I do it because it makes me happy, which means I have an ulterior motive, right?

The word that best describes my personality?  Silent.

Most profound moment:  Childbirth

When I die, I won't care what people think.  I would hope, however, my children would think of me fondly.

I am happiest alone.  I can enjoy the company of a man if he pleases me.

Advice to the younger generation:  Know thyself, but don't wallow in self-indulgence. Know when to stop mind-grinding and start living.

Frank is, by far, my favorite Astralpulse member, bless his absent heart.  And Squeek is just adorable!  Everyone else comes in a close third, I think . . . I have a secret favorite, but I won't tell you who it is [;)].

Skymageinfinity,

It might seem unfair, but capable women run screaming from men who put out the kind of vibe that you are putting out.  It is no wonder you are coming up empty-handed.

Do you think that by simply believing in magic, that things will fall into place for you?  If this is the case, you don't know anything about magic!

Here is where to start:  Yourself!  Keep your magic antennae out, but STOP LOOKING! YOU'RE TRANSMITTING ANXIETY AND DESPERATION!  Even if you do not think of yourself as anxious and desperate, it is the vibe you are putting out.

You need to become the kind of man who actually has something to offer to the world.  Build your power-base!  Prove yourself to be a man who will take the initiative and effect change.  Women can't resist THAT vibe.

Life is not fair. Being nice is not enough; it's a jungle out there.

A classic problem.  In general, serious magic-types tend to be solitary, studious, and introverted.  We don't get out much.  Bars and nightclubs hold no appeal for people like us.  Also, it is hard to find other magic-people . . . ordinary people (muggles) hold no appeal!  And then, when we're in a relationship it's hard to maintain, due to the emphasis upon transformation . . . which means we tend to transform ourselves out of relationships faster than your typical muggle.  Such a dilemma!

But, to me, it is worth it, to take the EFFORT to find a partner (it IS work!).  I crave solitude for my studies, but would rather be in a partnership than not (resulting in my former situation - a long distance relationship).

This is how I found him:  I put out my magic antennae.  If it were not for my antennae I would never have found him . . . a manager in my company, 13 years my senior, on the other side of the country and married for god's sake!  How inappropriate is that?  A MARRIED MUGGLE? If I did not have my antennae up, I would have passed him right over; in fact he wasn't even my "type!"    But the antennae said "BOINGGGGG!!!!!!!!!" and for months I was really, really, confused. And then voila, he was divorced, and for some mysterious reason, he came to town and we found we just couldn't keep our hands off each other, despite the fact that we weren't each other's "type!"  And it turns out he is descended from an occult family (Italian strega). It blew my mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was almost 5 years ago.  I said "former" relationship, but events are twisting and turning in magical ways and there is no saying how things will turn out in the end.  My dreams tend to be prophetic, but the jury is still "out!"  In the mean time, I still have my antennae on.

My point here:  Do not look with your eyes.  Put out the magical antennae.  Its criteria are magical. You will be surprised at what makes them go "boinggggggggg!"

sleep deprivation . . . high fever . . . low protein vegetarian diet . . . all these can bring on involuntary OBEs.  Also, certain exalted states.  But it does seem a mystery, yes?

KoolGZE, you are mixing apples and oranges!  Sex and marriage are not the same . . . in fact I could argue that marriage and sex are diametrically oppossed . . . or at least incompatible (ha ha!) but that is a subject of another topic.

Agreed . . . marriage is difficult, if not impossible, for a real mage to pull off (for a variety of reasons, most having to do with the need for freedom and independence).  But that does not preclude a mage from engaging in relationships, sexual or otherwise.  Like I said, apples and oranges . . .
