Fully agree! I could think of half a dozen technologies/ways of treating cancer that are many times more effective than chemotherapy, at the very least.

I find that anti-information-on-cancer thing suprising! My brother is a recently graduated doctor, and the hospital he works at has a large homoepathy ward, biggest in the country. Damn shame they dont use more effective stuff but hey.

Some people seem have some some success with binaurials (the product). Robert Bruce even included such a CD with his book, so obviously he places some value in them. But dont expect it to do all the work for you!!!!!! I did, years ago, and was dissapointed

Oooh ooh me me!!!!

I was lucid dreaming once, doing some other funky stuff, and at one point I heard music, I think its called the music of the spheres (implies lots of spheres, lots of types) as well as heavenly music etc.

It sounded a cross between music running over rocks, like a stream of notes and tones, but each note of which was a little like a <ping!> - very distinct and clear, totally pure, but all woven together into something that was amazing!!! I've never heard anything like it, just incredible, but these silly little words cant really describe it.

Traditional view is that all things sprung from the root of shamanism, which is very much spirit and altered state stuff.
Further, Terence McKenna would have said that before shamanism was The Mushroom, if you get my drift, and that this acted as a catalyst to wrench open the higher functions of the human mind.

Personally I think all these views are rather arrogant and stupid! This is because they are just extensions of the standard model of human evolution, and societal evolution. This is the preconception that our civilisation is the first of its kind, and that it appeared from a rather linear model of cultural growth as soon as homo-sapiens (us) appeared. In reality, humans have been here, in our modern form, for at least hundreds of thousand of years, and probably millions. So its slightly impossible to say who the first to practise this stuff were, or in what form it happened!!!!
People think its shamanism today simply IMO because shamans are associated with "primitive" tribal cultures, and the general assumption is that 10,000 years ago all there was were there tribal societies. Hence it would seem to follow that this is the first form of spirituality.

Personally I prefer to think in terms of cycles of varying size whirling continuously around eachother in a maelstrom of change, with peaks, troughs, crests and all sorts of funny things happening, but hey!!      

As for the first people to play with telepathy and etc well, given that the evolution model is correct, then it probably happened when that primordial swamp created a second microbe!! (my point, for anyone who missed it, is that animals are psychic - oh and that modern humans are actually less so, on the whole)
(not that I think thats how life started either but hey! Reich had a better view)

Sorry to inform those who might disagree but homosexuality is natural in pretty much all species, in that it has been observed in nature. Monkeys, birds, fleas, you name it, they've all been spotted being a bit gay at times.

The argument has been stated elsewhere (not on this site) that the eating of offspring also occurs in nature, but that doesn't mean we should do it. This argument is false because, to the best of my knowledge, homosexuality in universal in nature, whereas murdering your children isnt.

Anyway! Seems obvious to me that your gold lion signifies the white lion of alchemy, since the order is perfect and the symbolic connection between pure white and gold is intuitively a little obvious now I think about it!  

In classical alchemy, at least from what I have picked up, white, green and red lion do the same thing, they just take different lengths of time to do it (a year, a month, a day, respectively).

Back to doing some light work....uch......exam is "energy and the environment" - I think its very good that they teach us engineers this sort of thing. Like, how we're totally screwed if we dont do something to stop destroying our envonrment, and what can be done. Good stuff.

BUT surely there are more mystical influences? By going around annoying people you will be the reciever of their annoyance and negative energy. Might even come to influence how subconscious issues continue to arise - perhaps its not just because they are not settled internally, but also not settled externally, and so the metaphysical knives, bit rusty perhaps, but still there even after yeeeeaaaars.
I would say it also matters because if someone bears you bad feelings, then chances are you haven't acted in a way that corresponds to your highest principles, which isn't a good thing. You know what they say - takes two to tangle.......

Usually can go some way to telling if someone is being honest by what they say, how they say it, and how they react to replies. Oh, and their history. And intuition.
But mostly I trust people here. I dont really see what can be gained by BSing, an ego-boost? Quite a peculiar thing to do, and IMO rare.

Wish I could help you! One thing though - I have read and heard from too many people about the possible detrimental effects of kundalini if done too fast, it being a pretty hefty thing indeed.

Yeah I've thought along similar lines before, but it still doesn't seem right to compare rates of spiritual development against other people. Not what its all about etc, and besides, everyone develops at vastly different rates at different times.

I cant think of any examples right now, but I am sure there are spiritual people who have started later than your current age and done great things.

You can usually tell by the feel of the posts, by their lack of honesty, their extremely selective hearing, slight fluffyness of posts, a general lack of knowledge of the subject matter while not actually being interested in listening and learning, etc. Generally they put on a facade of being high and mighty, usually being very easily offended, but when they lash out it can be done blatently, which is easy for us mods to deal with, or subtely - like shaking someones hand and smiling while, out of sight, kicking them in the shins with spiky steel toe caps on. Tricky to deal with, especially if good forum folks take their side (often just reacting defensively against mods by default, like always taking the side of the "underdog" which as you can image, happens a fair bit here). You get stuck between the best for the forums, and lots of inexperienced/naive net users telling you to stop being so fascist! Which SUCKS allmightily.

I've seen quite a few "trolls", and am not sure what the best tactic is - if ignoring them on mass can be done, is best, but it rarely works like that. The best I saw was on these forums, years ago now I gotta say, when trolls got driven away by the overwhelming nice-ness of members, who utterly refused to get annoyed!!! The troll would get more and more aggravated, and members in turn just got nicer, it was an awesome sight!!!
Adding any angst into the discussion is just what they want, its like they feed off it, and it will only encourage them.

Global warming is caused by more of the energy from the sun being trapped under a blanket of chemicals. The chemicals are going to get so thick that more of the light will no longer be able to get in to get trapped to contribute to that global warming. So we will have global cooling?

Naaa, the more chemicals, the more heat trapped whether on entry or exit, doesn't matter I dont think, our atmosphere circulates pretty much as a complete system when you get to a certain point.

I do have a question though. Does anyone know why IR is so much more capable of carrying heat than other wavelengths? What are the properties which are specific to that range frequencies???

OK. If you are Christian then you must believe that God created everyone, and He did so for a reason. That means, if you have an unusual quantity of gifts, then you were given them with a purpose.

Now, the only possibly slightly feasibile way for you to block off these abilities would be to become a base, highly armoured, unspiritual person. People meditate to get closer to themselves, become closer to God, and as this happens the gifts of spirit appear. The natural opposite would be fill your mind with guff, deny even the possibility that these things could be real, and deny God.......your choice.......rise to the challenge or run screaming!!  

I dont see any other choices, at least if you want to stop hurting people. Remember that any tool can be used for good or bad, and using it forces us to learn more about it, if we want to use it "properly".

So! I would suggest that there is a better way? You've been given some good advice already. Not to be presumptuous enough to actually guess the real reasons you have these abilities, but it could be to open you mind up to the greater reality. You've sure been given the tools....

As a brief aside, I tend to think more these days that even the space inside our own head is not entirely our own, in a way. That is, we live in different degrees of multiple larger communities - family, local area, mass unconscious, etc. We seem physically seperated from all these things, but to me our minds are always overlapping. The more empathic you are, the lower your psychic and belief shields, the less emotional armour you have and etc then the less of the greater reality you block out, and the more you draw in.
What was is Jesus said? - "I am in you, and you are in me, and I am in the Father"

Well, I was watching a program on the paranormal last night (a suprisingly good program, "unexplained mysteries" I think), and it gave the figure that 89% of abduction experiences are of the unpleasant nature. I could believe this from everything I've heard.

I've never seen one, I don't believe blurred photos etc.

I have seen what I think were UFO's, cant think what else they were, but the general idea in the publics imagination that all the evidence for UFO's amounts to a couple of blurry photo's is a complete and proveable falsity. There are numerous video's (military, NASA, police, etc), quality photos, etc that are available to anyone undecided. I've never paid for any such video's, though I dont doubt they've got masses of good evidence (seen snips from some), but even I have managed to build up some small collection of UFO footage on my comp. Like one police video over Brighton of a UFO on visual and IR cameras, which I found because it was first on the BBC website. I chased up the link and found the complete video. Cant argue with that sort of evidence! (btw thats not a challenge to try! lol....)

Alchemy and its interpretations can be taken in a number of different directions. The most common interpretation of the philosophers stone is spiritual - ie the change from base lead to exalted gold in terms of form of being.
But if you look into ormus, that is high spin small cluster to monoatomic state transition metals, the philosophers stone is made from a substance called red lion (I think its red), which is itself supposed to be made from ormus. Red lion, green lion, and white lion are kinda the next step up in potency from ormus, all achieve the same effect but in different time spans (overnight, in a month or so, or a year). The desired effect is pretty heady, really opening up the alchemist to higher states of consciousness but as I understand it can be a difficult process, especially if its done wrong (or accidentally!! http://www.subtleenergies.com/ormus/tw/ozone.htm).
The philosophers stone is even more valuable, I dont know much about whats its supposed to do, immortality perhaps, but I've heard physics discussions of how it might actually be able to tranmute lead to gold, though if you actually had some of this stuff you probably wouldn't waste it like that.
IMO the attitude that its a purely spiritual thing is useful as a metaphor but to think thats the be all and end all strips the guts from what alchemy is about.
