You all are missing the point.  This isn't to somehow protect the people of the US.  It is there so that when the defining step into a dictatorship, complete with martial law, is taken, they can prevent us from telling the world what is really happening here.  It's not saying that Obama can blow up the internet.  It's saying that when they feel the time is right, they can shut down American citizen's ability to get on the internet.  If you read it, it explains that the government has basically bribed the biggest ISPs in the US by telling them that they will not be held liable (they can't get sued) and any lost profits during internet downtime will be repaid.  So why would the US ISPs care?  It's win-win for them.  For us, this is a great big slap in the face.  They are showing us the prison bars and most of us are too stupid to see them.  Imagine what it would be like if you couldn't email your family, or look up alternative news sources, or google the most basic information.  It would send us back 30 years.  The next thing to go will be access to public libraries, not that they haven't already censored most books there.  It's an information shut down, we would become isolated.  That's why the internet has boomed for so long, our dependency on digital/electronic means of communication has been slowly increased over the past 20+ years.  This is a game of chess, they are setting up their pieces in preparation of their move towards check mate.  Unfortunately, we all seem to be too afraid, deluded and brain washed to recognize their moves and begin setting up our defensive strategy.  We're just bending over and taking it.

The idea from the perspective of the earth is that every 26000 years or whatever, we pass through something that alters energy here.  Whether its a photon belt, alignment with the galactic core, a cloud of exotics matter, perhaps a cycle for our star.  Many of those do present this geocentric idea though.

NOTE: I'm not supporting or giving my seal of approval to any of these.  Just sharing stuff I've read over the years.

To me this stuff does seem to assume that us and the earth are pretty special.......who knows right?

(I do)

spontaneous astral projection is very possible.

in fact, that is how many projectors discover the "phenomenon" in the first place.

then they do research to find out what it is and start learning to induce it.
#1957
I don't quite understand the question.

hey now, kurt has a very good brain imo.

a very good consciousness interface indeed.

THERE IS A CULT ORGANIZATION HERE IN MY COUNTRY THAT SAYS IN 2012 ONLY 10% OF THE WORLDS POPULATION WILL SURVIVE, WELL WHO KNOWS

How do you know it's a cult?

that plagues me everyday.

i mean, if that is the case then what is the nature of my experience?

then again, why do i experience reality as being real if it's not?

beyond that, how am i supposed to reconcile all of the people and things i interact with daily if they aren't real?!

then i just have to say f it because i apparently have obligations that require me to believe in this reality.  but it pains me to do so.

i'm really surprised i haven't lost my mind yet.

this is me at work on June 5th at our psychic festival.

that's me back in the day (like 2004 or 2005) at the local diner we used to go to every like friday at 2AM.  Notice the long hair and pope hat.

this one is hard to see but i had to post it cause my friend who took it just found it and posted it on the facebook.  that's me holding my cell phone with a picture of me on it.  the picture of me on the cell phone is from a night when two of my friends thought it would be fun to have me put on their clothes, let them put make-up on me, and put braids in my hair.  i will say that i filled out the girl jeans quite nicely.  i have my hand over my chin to cover up my goatee.  somewhere in the world is a Polaroid from the same night of me bent over (still with a hand covering my goatee) and my old roommate standing behind me with a cigarette in his mouth like he just finished his party......(trying to be suggestive without being too suggestive...).  Wish I could find that one.

See CFT, I used to be a lot more fun.  Now I'm just a working stiff.

i use that word all the time, kind of, i call it sciencism.

i don't necessarily disagree, science is a practical application of observation.

but, even with the "scientific method" you're still considering certain things to be assumed.  first and foremost that your perception of reality is real.  people don't often go to that level of considering our fundamental beliefs, the ones that are so ingrained in our physical body's DNA that we don't even recognize them as beliefs most of the time.  like the solidity of the keyboard i'm typing on right now or that i need food to sustain my body.  these are often taken as fundamental facts about human experience, but in truth we don't really know do we?  nevertheless, i suppose you could call the way in which we would determine if these are truths or not scientific inquiry.  i prefer to think of it simply as existential exploration.  the big difference is that i feel that there is no objective point of comparison in this method as there often is in science.  i think this 'existential exploration' is much more guided by intuition than objective observation.  though it is scientism, as you call it, that denies my intuition as a valid tool of measurement.  i like to think that in the true essence of science, intuition is the most powerful tool at one's disposal.

that's why i call science a religion.

but everyone always gets all up in my business about it

PR,

I would like to point out the following:
We actually prefer and ask that you edit your posts instead of mulitple-post.

It's obviously nothing that's been seriously enforced, but it is preferred. :)

~Ryan

Yes, Mein Fuhrer.

That's one of the things I don't like about "internet social protocol".  We all know perfectly well that the intent of a rule like that is to stop people with "malicious" intent.  And you also know perfectly well that I'm just "absent minded" in this regard.  I don't intend to post over and over to up my stats (maybe for a couple days back between my 3 & 4 stars), my stats are as far as they can go now, so that's obviously not the reason.  And I'm not a "spammer" who is somehow trying to overrun the forum and destroy threads.  But blanket rules are made (and like you said, not enforced seriously) that lump legitimate posters in with crap posters.

Nevertheless, is there any other behavior modifications I can make for you today mein Fuhrer?  Perhaps you would like to plan my meals, take my cigarettes and set up a procreation schedule for me?

lol, kidding of course.

Will do Mr. Ryan Sir.

lol, yea.

i don't like editing posts, because if you didn't read it before the edit then you don't know what the person changed.  it could have been something interesting, but you'll never know.

the parietal lobe processes information related to vision, but it is not where visual information goes from the eyes, that would be the occipital lobe.  (i know, strange right?  the info from the eyes goes to the farthest lobe from the eyes)

what the parietal does is process spatial information, like where your body is in relation to it's surroundings.  It also maps out actions that your body will take based on vision.  it is also associated with some auditory processing.

the occipital lobe is where visual information goes from the eyes for processing.

as for how these are related to consciousness, that is the million dollar question.

that's the f-ed up part of neurology, biology and psychology.  the official stance is that consciousness is a "side effect" of neural function.  Essentially, they see the physical body/brain as the original "cause" and consciousness as a coincidental "effect" of all the activity happening in the brain.  What that means to modern science is that there is no "non-physical", there is only the physical brain and the apparent "ghost in the machine" that we call conscious awareness.  But in all honesty, this explanation is the same as the modern astronomer/cosmologist explanation of the big bang.  Pretty much, we have no real idea so we're just gonna say everything wasn't here, then BANG! it was.  The same with consciousness, it wasn't there, then the brain started doing something different and BANG! it was there.

So, we are the ones left with the task of discovering the true nature of consciousness (because I think us explorers of reality are the ones who see consciousness as a non-local phenomenon, ie, existing independently of the physical body).  It's up to you to figure out how consciousness connects to the brain.

SG-1, Atlantis, SGU.

period.  if you're a traditionalist SG fan then that's the only way it can be.

and i'm assuming they mean "the movie".  the others were more like continuations of SG-1.

How strange life is....we're have tread very similar paths and yet look at how different things can be.

I had to leave home too.  Moved away.  Haven't talked to or seen any of my best childhood friends in a number of years.  It's kind of sad.  But since I left, 2 of them overdosed, one is in jail and all the others but one are still hopeless junkies.

what i was trying to illustrate is that all of these things are happening simultaneously.  You are a dynamic creature who is constantly growing and changing.  the simple answer is, you are as evolved as you are.  see, in order to determine a specific position you would have to have a frame of reference.  some kind of definitive scale.  if you have not determined this yet, then you will eventually, but there is no definitive scale for personal evolution.  the only possible frame of reference would be the evolutionary development of other people, but that is not only impossible but is silly to even consider.  if you could compare yourself to others then why are you even alive?  it takes the novelty out of your experience and you might as well just kill yourself now (disclaimer: that is a statement of exaggeration, DO NOT take me seriously in any way, shape or form).  your existence would be futile if you could compare it to anyone else's.

your path is unique and specific to only you.  no one has ever, nor will ever, have your path.  not in the whole of existence, whatever that may be.  so, as mushroom man said, ignore it.  you can't possibly know in any linear fashion.  your knowing will come intuitively and in that regard there is no sense in dwelling.  you just know.  you know right now.  but what good will that really do?

just keep living sir.
