Honestly, remotetouch, that makes more sense than ANYTHING else I've read here. Thank you so much, and I will most definitely take your advice to heart.

::nod:: When I found about phasing, I got all excited cuz I was like, positive it would be easy for me. I'm a big daydreamer and the thought of just phasing into a daydream sounded simple. I'll keep trying though. Once I've done it ONCE, the other times should be much easier.

I've tried different things. I tried traditional OBE methods for a long time (trying exit techniques and such), I've tried phasing, I've tried waking up freakishly early, I've tried taking random naps...

I own 5-6 books on the subject.

The entire Robert Monroe trilogy,

Astral Dynamics,

Astral Travel,

Astral Voyages,

and Mastering Astral Projection in 90 Days.

Really, the only thing I can think of is that I'm not going into as deep of a trance as I think I am.

So I'm going to try relaxing and just seeing how deep I can go.

::nod:: Thanks to both of you.

I guess I'm just not in a deep enough trance. I'll keep trying.

^.^

Like, ever. I can get into a trance state very easily, I can put my body to sleep in under 10 minutes, but it seems like no matter how long I wait, I never have ANY exit symptoms.

If anyone can give me some advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

Wow, rezaf. Never heard of that technique before. xD

Maybe even after we pass on, we still won't know God. Like someone up there said, we don't know anything, all we're doing is hypothesizing.

Hm. Just because he's easy to like doesn't mean he's good. In fact, it may mean the opposite.

Very interesting linky link. Read it and tell me what you think please. It cleared lots of stuff up for me.

The book was amazing, and had a much more poetic ending. I advise everyone read the book, if they even liked the movie just a little bit.

On a side note, has anyone seen the earlier versions of the movie?

I'm actually really interested in all of this, but there is just so much stuff to buy, and so little time.

Maybe if you do this again at some point I'll be able to.

Good luck!

The government is always the bad guy, these days.

::blink:: You have successfully beffudled me, sir.

As long as there is some existance after death, I'm not afraid. But they idea of just dissapearing and not continuing in any way is very scary. I would hate to just... dissapear.
#40
Ah, that's a relief. If energy body work was really required to OBE, I was gonna have a hard time.

Ignoring something doesn't make it go away.

Is there any way you could just move to Costa Rica on your own? Save up some money. That should be easier to do, once you stop paying for so many things you don't need. Maybe if you move there, you'll meet someone you like, even.

Btw, I noticed your quote: "Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken." I love Fight Club! Brad Pitt was awesome in that movie!
#43
Oh, I thought he said Monroe was just saying the same thing but rewording it. So the other guy did that? Ok.

Well, in my eyes at least. Its hard to describe what I mean.
#45
Woah woah woah. Are you saying that Robert Monroe kinda... stole someones material? ...interesting...

Well, now I definitely have to look into this. Mr. Monroe... I am quuuuite dissapointed in you.

I'll have to give him a good beating if I meet him in the astral.

I wonder if he's reincarnated by now...

I dunno. I talk too much when I'm sleepy.

Most people here seem to look at it as their bible. I guess I'm just not patient enough to really get into the whole NEW thingy. But yeah, I was just wondering if anyone here didn't like it.

Can being electrocuted help or harm your energy body? I got electrocuted a bit as a kid, twice actually, and I really don't think I have a whole of energy. That might just be because I'm naturally a very calm person, but MAYBE it's because my energy body is a lil messed up?

Do you think spiritual body work could get me more energized? Honestly, out of all the topics on here it's the one I'm least interested in, but hey, if it'll help, I might try it. Maybe a Reiki healer could help...?

I dunno. Honestly I really have no clue about any of this stuff.

Help?

...well, this just gave me a lot to think about. When I was a kid I used to get shocked and stuff all the time, and I also had a lot more energy. These days I'm tired and sluggish a lot, kinda depressed most of the time (I'm good at hiding it, though. ^.^) And I don't think I've been shocked in a long long time.

Whiiiiich just gave me a good idea for a post!

Do you think the world will ever stop being ruled by money? I hate money. Or at least, I hate the abusement of money. Robert Monroe wrote in one of his books about how this is all just the survival instinct gone way, way wrong. He may have gone a lil crazy towards the end, but a lot of the stuff he wrote about was very, very interesting...

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Re: Materialism

In my opinion, the first thing you should do should be to look around your house/apartment, and make a list of all the things you could get rid of. Think hard about what you actually NEED, and what you WANT. Or, used to want, more specifically. There's no reason to be wasteful, of course. Most of the stuff you get rid of you could do in a good way. Give some things away as gifts, or give some stuff to charity! That way you don't just break the cycle of materialism, you also help people! Good karma, eh? ;-)
