Do you get more rest when your in a Light or Deep sleep? I feel like I am a deep sleeper because when I wake up I am always very sleepy and I can't even talk sometimes because I am still in the sleep and sometimes it's hard to wake up right away.

Thanks for the input guys. Today was the first day I tried out this technique. I'll try it for a couple of weeks and if I can't project I might as well try out Lucidology 102. I'll go to bed today at around 10:00 PM or 11:00 PM and wake up at around 2 or 3. I just hope I can get into sleep paralysis and have a projection!

Hello everyone, I have been trying to astral project for around 9 months now. During these 9 months I haven't had much time to practice though because of school and stress. Now im stress free because I am on summer break for a little more than 1 month. I have a lot of time now so I really want to dedicate myself to astral projection. I am going to try and go to sleep every night at around 7-8 PM and wake up at 3 AM. Then I will stay awake for 1 hour and go back to sleep and try to project.

Today I tried this technique out for the first time. I went to sleep last night at 9 PM and woke up naturally this morning at exactly 2:59 AM. (alarm clock was set at 3:00 AM) I went on the internet and read up on astral projection until 4:00 AM. Then I went back to bed and started to mediate. I got really relaxed, saw hypnogogic imagery, and 2 times my legs twitched really bad. I stopped meditating and it was 5:13 AM. I was meditating for 1 HR 13 MIN. I got tired of meditation and so I just woke up to start out the day.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I really want to astral project. I have tried for 9 months and astral projection has been on my mind 24/7 now. Im also trying to start a dream journal because I keep losing dream recall when I stop writing down my dreams. Should I write down my dreams when I wake up at 3:00 AM and then stay awake for an hour reading up on astral projection?

All help greatly appreciated

In my bedroom there is a television and a really big mirror. In another bedroom the bedroom set came with mirrors..

Yea so basically Christians believe in Heaven or Hell so they will go to either one. Bhuddists believe in the planes and you reincarnate so I guess its what you believe that will be your afterlife

What don't you understand? If you believe in heaven you will go there. If hell you will go there. If you believe in evolving beyond both heaven in hell you will do that. This statement was relative to physical death, sorry if I wasn't clear.

oh well it depends on your belief system/religion

what if you believe in heaven and hell?

Yes, Heaven and Hell exist. The thing is you don't have to stay there. You put yourself in either place by your actions, thoughts and beliefs. You can leave either at any time or choose not to go at all.

What??! dont understand.

Hello,

Ever since I was little, I have had many outside the box experiences. I find that these have showed me that there is indeed other planes and realms of existence other than this physical one.

I have just recently researched meditation and astral travel. Is is true that if your body gets enough energy (through meditation)  then you will eventually experience astral travel? And, if thought creates reality in the other planes, then does that mean that I can create my own place in the astral realms that is like my own world?

Thanks for any responses, I know the questions might seem weird, but I am really interested in this subject.

You can create your own world. Call it an Astral Home. Everytime you astral project you will go to your astral home IF you want to. Spirit Guides would go to your astral home to contact you. What you do is first visualize your astral home while meditating. When you project start building an Astral Home. Like maybe add furniture. Then add a bubble of light around it to protect it from negative entities. It's good to create an astral home because you can also meet up with people there.

Recently, I saw a black shadowy figure trying to approach me and I did what you did the first time.  I bucked up and cursed at it in a very hostile tone and told it to get the f*ck away from me!  It left me alone.  Later, I was worried that I might have been hostile to a good spirit and felt bad.  But at the time, I sensed it was an evil spirit trying to latch on to me and that's why I became very angry and hostile toward it.  I now think I was right to react on my initial instinct.

As far as feeling physical pain, one time I had left my body and flew into my son's room to see what he was up to.  He was sitting at his computer watching YouTube.  I remember placing my hand up to his face and when I did, the tip of my pinky must have went into his mouth because it felt like someone had bit down on my pinky finger.  I felt the actual sensation of being bitten.

Another time, after I had left my body, I could feel the sharp corner of the table that my TV sits on digging into my hip.  I flew away from it and the pain stopped.  I've also felt my head bumping into the wall as I'm trying to exit out of my room to the outside.  Also, my apartment has one of those popcorn ceilings that were very popular in the 70s (when my apartment was constructed).  As I was flying up past the ceiling and into the sky, it felt as though some of the debris from the popcorn ceiling had gotten into my eye.  Has anyone else felt any physical sensations while out of their bodies?

lol spying on your son

Welcome to Dreams! / Dieing in a dream?
January 24, 2009, 17:37:10
If you die in a dream, will you die in the physical world? Or if your falling from a building and you don't wake up before you hit the ground will you die or feel any pain?
#38
Yea, that happens to me. They say they found my e-mail in the forums and wanted me to help them.
#39
Spy, I have those same problems. I just cannot get into an altered state of conciousness. I almost projected once from a lucid dream but I stopped because it was dark >.<
#40
Oh i've heard other things. Like you need energy to have a concious projection. And if you desire to be in the astral all the time more than the physical it becomes a reality. Or something like that
#41
Yup! And 2009 is a new beginning for me! I start my OBE adventures this year!
#42
Have you guys read Astral Projection and the Nature of Reality? Says something about it

Thanks for your answer CFT

Is it dangerous to project everyday? Some people say its safe even if you do it everyday. I've read it loosens the cord because your used to traveling all the time. I've heard its safe if you do it 1-2 times a week. Any comments?

Today I slept for 6 hours and let my alarm clock wake me up. I went to the bathroom then I went back to bed and tried to induce an OBE but I just fell asleep.
#46
Yea every night I set my alarm clock in the morning after 4 or 5 hours of sleep. What happens is I wake up, I turn off the alarm and go back to sleep because im so sleepy lol. I just get lazy to wake up. Like 3 days ago I woke up at 4:00 AM naturally and thats when I almost had an OBE twice. I gotta wake up when my alarm clock goes off and not go back to sleep.

My greatest difficulty in having an OBE is getting the pre-projection signs/ getting into a trance. I have absolutely no fear or worries about having an OBE. I also believe in them 100%. I've been trying everyday. The only chances I've had of having an OBE have been once in a lucid dream, and 2 times in the morning where I didn't even try to induce an OBE. I just immediately got projection signs. In those 3 "Almost OBEs" i haven't felt vibrations. I think im the type of person that doesn't get vibrations.

Everytime I attempt a projection at night my body gets super relaxed. My whole body becomes heavy and numb. I just lay down in my bed for like 30min-1 hour and nothing happens, no pre-projection signs. All I do is get relaxed and heavy. I also keep saying "I will have an OBE" and "God please help me have an OBE" and "Please help me induce an OBE, guardian angels." I also visualize sometimes getting out of my body, but NOTHING. Do I have to clear my mind of all thoughts to get the pre-projection signs? Because nothing happens and this has been my biggest problem of having an OBE. Since im on break i've been doing nothing but researching about OBEs. I am reading
Our Ultimate Reality, Astral Dynamics, and the Robert Peterson book. I also write my dreams sometimes when I can remember them. Still no OBEs.. I'm still gonna keep trying until I have an OBE and hopefully it will be a pleasent one because after researching for 4 months on the subject, I think I am definetly prepared.

Its not hard for me to fall asleep but its hard for me to reach the mind awake / body asleep state. Set your alarm 3-4 hours before you usually wake up, do something for about 10 minutes, get back to bed and its easier to get to the mind awake / body asleep state.

I wonder why
