Welcome to Astral Chat! / God Thought

Yeah, it was a really cool episode.

I did write that down too, in some paper I think. And I also like the part where the galactic computer said "if you do things right, people won't be sure if you've done anything at all".

The part of nuclear war on bender's body is actually quite good.

Nice!

It was interesting that you can bring the vibe by squezing your astral body. With me I just lay there trying to stay concious while going to sleep and the vibe will come on it's own (if it come, some time it don't and my body just get loose). If there was a vibe it's off the buzzing type. Maybe the same with what you describe as the purring kind.

You seeing the proeller must be related to what come to your mind when having the propeller type vibe.

Being stuck in some part of my body is something that I've experience too for some time. Usually my astral arm and limb will float and and I get stuck in some part, usually my torso. One time it is on the top of my head. I don't know why this happen but maybe it's related to chakra or energetic stuff. Luckily today it doesn't happen anymore (when I start relaxing or just bathing in the pleasant sensation of the buzzing gentle vibe). It seems my whole body float on it's own without any work on my part.

Regarding the spinning, I guess it's because you're stuck on the mid section. Maybe practising NEW will help. However I don't know much about the energetic aspect and other might help on this.

I've founded out that if I'm really tired and sleep deprived, and I really need to sleep but decide to just lay down to rest for a while holding off sleep, the vibration will come very fast. Not two second but quick enough. I don't really recommend it as sleep deprivation is not very good for your health (and can make you cranky too). This is best attempted by college student with strange sleeping pattern.[:D]

I'm moving, sort of. It's temporary due to some work I need to do.

Maybe I could get a multimillion dollar contract in some remote island.[;)]

Wow, this topic is hot. I was just gone for one day and...
Okay, let's discuss.

Yes, you see, the transmutation of sexual energy requires there to be some first. It's my understanding that Taoism tempts until the point of orgasm but retains emission. How's that celibacy?

Pod3, there is a practise in taoism that is like what you said above. This was more like dual cultivation suited for couple. however for those who arehreading on the celibateroad there is also a higher practise which we can call internal alchemy, or self intercourse which is a very potent exercise in converting and transmuting the energy and essence into finer level of energy.

I'll continue later as I need to log off now.

Timeless,

I think that "one person" is really great btw. In fact i really want to know him/her more. It must take a super duper highly spiritual ascended being to ever attempt something of that caliber. [;)]

On the serious note I notice that I tend to get more ld when younger. Now I still get them, but not that often, and recall is not as excellent. I also notice that there are period of dry spell and period where I seem to remember so much in one night (it's like I have a very active night life). What I have found out is that my lucidity in a dream is very closely related to my 'waking' moment lucidity. If I went through the day with high spirit, enthuasissm, alertness and awareness, chance are my lucidity will carry on to my dreamtime. However if I have boring day and went through the day without much awareness (or much absent mindedness) I usually don't get to remember much or retain lucidity in my dream.

I found out that my best friend, who is a frequent lucid dreamer has very good imagination. I think my  imagination are pretty good too but unlike him, I'm not a very good artist (although I sometime imagine elaborate scene and event in my mind).

Terrence.

Yo, welcome back!

It's my turn to take a leave soon...[:D]

Celibacy alone will do much harm than good. If you are going for celibacy, I would suggest that you learn about tao practice. Try the following link.

Don't worry about the vibration. I only get them some of the time.

I don't know if it's the second book as I don't have it with me. Actually, it was  avery new book. If I still remember it is for the new millenium. It was not a very thick bok, just a little less than the thickness of astral dynamics. The book is pretty simple actually.

Actually it was not to anyone in particular. Only just general feeling about this thread.

Considering you're an atheist, don't you feel that it's a waste of time to talk about a non-existent being?[:D]

Or is it a part time job?

Anyway it's always human nature to only think about God when in dire need. Where is god when I need One?

This message is posted not in the serioustest of mode. Any offense is not intentional.

Why would anyone want sp? I can still remember the fear that I felt when much younger. Terror of the night[:O]. I used to make a point to sleep before midnight.

I never found any method to induce sleep paralysis, except perhaps by disturbing the sleep pattern in a major way (You're very tired and need sleep, you decide to lay down to rest but make it a point not to sleep as you have something important to do, say in the next 30 minutes).

However, the kind of paralysis you want, I suppose is a little bit different. There is an exercise from Muldoon called "inducing incapacity" which includes hearing your heart beats in any part of your body and then slowing them to such an extent. I'm not sure it is in which book. Maybe Nick can help you with this.(Anyhow, if you manage to slow down your sleeping to suh an extent, you're bound to notice the paralysis state coming to you. And since you know what it is now, you won't get scared like I used to be.

Could be, I do daydream and have many lucid and flying dream. My friend who is a very good artist also tend to have lucid dream and flying dream too. When I was younger I used to do some self hypnosis script in a book called "total mind power" (which is more toward visualising scenery to focus the mind for self hypnosis).

Sexual stimulation and aggressiveness are related. Your energy may be very coarse and energy stimulation might increase sexual desire which will increase tension and aggravating aggressiveness.

You might like to try physical exercise. Believe me, it's not that bad.[;)]

Anyway martial arts is a good way to clear aggressiveness for many people. Especially peaceful martial arts like aikido.

To understand a criminal, one must think like a criminal.

To understand God, one must think like...

Whoaa... Is this even possible? [:P]

A fish trying to understand the fisherman? Is there a fishermen?

What is God realy like? What is characteristic of God? Is God all-forgiving? Is God just? How can God be just and merciful at the same time? Do God forgive our wrong to Him (just for convenience... do you really believe God is male, or female, like us? Or really this only applies to us? What about amoeba?) This has been discussed for such a long time.. And surprisingly the answer are not any nearer to us...

Find out this, and more when you are no longer in this world. Or you may went through all eternity not knowing the truth at all.

Ps: Don't ask me about this, I'm just making it up as I type...[;)]

Only one way to find out...

Sounds like classic obe vision to me too. When having this kind of vision, it is quite normal not to see in normal angle (probably your astral self in different alignment from your physical self). It is also quite normal to see even though there are something like sleep screen blocking your eye. Once, I was rotated 180 degree and my vision went from normal position to viewing from my feet position. And moving away from my body.

Interesting, Rob.

The problem with rope method could be caused by the alignment of the physical body. It seems better suited to be practised more in the sittiing position (if I'm not mistaken Robert did address this).I've also modified the rope method before like changing it to climbing stair or crawling on all four (which is like climbing stair horizontally). I've even used my finger while lying on my back to crawl away from my body (it's weird but work at that time).

However currently I'm working more on passive method. Feeling the vibration, floating and basking in the vibration (it seems this way I'm more often pulled out of my body, lazyness?). I changed it because I feel the quality of the OBE is different (at least in my case as I haven't feel how your obe feels like). My body feels hollow when I just forced myself out by method which forces pressure on the non-physical body (yep, ypu read that right, one force too many[:P]).

Although most physicist nowaday accept the big bang theory as near fact, most are open minded enough too admit that it doesn't account for creation of spirit (In fact for that I think we need another theory, which will take a while to come up with[:D]). Most people in physical science and enginering that I know admit to this. However I happen to notice that those involve with with biological science(whether the are physician, biologist, etc) have more problem accepting with the notion of spiritual existence. Of course, not all are like that, this is only a sweeping generalisation from my limited observation. Could be related to brain and conciousness stuff.

Anyway I was searching for big bang on the net and found something interesting.

That was not very impressive, Frank. [:)]

Btw, this is funny thread, how come we're talking about microsoft? Was X-box any good or dying from lack of support?
