If need be, you folks could go rage in another thread. This isn't group therapy

No one's raging man, you're being asked to share your knowledge/opinion and you're being sarcastic

I think zareste is probably right here.  Wasn't there some underplayed news story about a tribe in Africa that has had no real modern contact and has no form of verbal communication, they rely solely on telepathy?

I think a lot of these things like levitation, PK, TK, and telepathy are things that we know how to do naturally...  We just have forgotten how to use them over time so those parts of our minds have become so weak it's necessary for one to be either "gifted" or someone to really want it and practice for it to achieve it.

That's hilarious.

You know, I'd really like to at least see where you're coming from - I'm not totally writing off your ideas, I'm just saying I've seen no evidence in that (and also not claiming I've done research) so throwing a new member a bone and coughing up a few links would be nice.

I'm not here to fight, I'm here to learn.

"we" are going to prevent it from doing too much harm if anything happens. 'You' are going to be lizard food

Okay, I'm not trying to be offensive hear but seriously, you have absolutely no concrete evidence of what you're saying.  I'm not saying I'm any better, but coming out and telling someone their opinion is wrong because your opinion is right is kind of an immature thing to do.

You've still also not said what exactly is going to happen on 2012.  So my next question is obvious, but in your opinion what's going to happen?

Another thing is, how exactly are you preparing for this catastrophic event?

Reasons for me?  Learning.  Going to other planets, speaking to other races, seeing sights, visiting the akashic records, and all in all becoming more and more of an open minded person.  Also, APing for me is a big thing about "the" after life, I say "the" because even though I used to be a die-hard atheist, I think now you create your own afterlife.  In some ways this has provided me comfort.  In others ways, I don't like it, but reality is reality, whether it's in this life or the next  :-)

Good job man!  I'm hoping for my first experience sometime soon as well.

Did you use any special techniques?  At this point I'm trying everything and anything, but nothing seems to really work!

Thanks genep. That's right on the money. I looked up something about Samadhi and the different levels associated with Samadhi, and things seem to fit. So now, I've gotta 1) push past the fear of the visual hypnagogic imagery and 2) do it for long enough so that it's programmed. Anyone got any tips on how to push past the fear? I was thinking I have to be fearless in waking life maybe?

I don't think you have to be fearless.  You have to be courageous.

Having fear is natural.  Even the greatest of warriors can admit they're scared, they just push past it because they know they're fighting for something that's more than just them.  Having courage never meant having no fear, it means being able to set the fear aside and do what's right.  In this case, understanding that your afraid but wanting to advance means that you should be able to.

Or, I'm just talking out of my you-know-what  :-D

If you're interested in PK this website may be of help to you:

http://www.psipog.net/home.html

Have you tried using a psi wheel as practice?  I know I've put no time into it.  I need to but I just don't really have the time with practicing AP and meditation already.

Then I have to say, yes.  In 1999 more or less.  I was interviewed by a military personality, and found myself back in body.  It was not a pleasant experience, and most of it was unconscious.

So even though you were not in your physical body, they had knowledge of your presence and could communicate/see you?

(BTW, if you're not comfortable with sharing these things publicly or even at all feel free to just say so or hit me up with a PM)

Anyone else just pretty chill about the 2012 thing?  I mean, if there is some disaster waiting then...  What are we gonna do?  If there is an alien race coming to kill us, what are we gonna do?  If there is a dimension shift...  You get where this is going.  My point is that whatever is going to happen (if anything) is more than likely inevitable so why worry too much about it?  Just live, laugh, have fun and be happy!   :-D

Ah. More "esoteric" abilities like: Astral projection, telepathy etc, would become possible for everyone, easily. I see. Well, yeah; Astral projection sure sounds nice(and must be very nice) but Leannain would choose to stay in 3rd dimension if 4th dimension means no more casual sex, sigh.

Haha well I have to say I've done no really searching to find answers, this is just my hypothesis.  I personally don't think that we'll ever not be allowed to have sex with anyone we don't love, but then again that idea seems to promote someone/thing watching over us, and I'm not a believer in that.  I personally have never seen sex as anything that's bad at all unless you're using it for a means like in order to get something physical.  If it's love, pleasure, or any other reason, then I think it's okay

I also don't really think it will be much of an option if there is a dimension shift, I think people will just be able to use abilities we've had forever without near as much training.

Either way, no one knows until it happens, so there is no fact of the matter.  I'm just riding on through whatever happens  8-)

What does the 4th dimension means in the sense of physicality?

Will sex still be possible and if it is, will it be like it's nowadays? It won't be possible to do it with people you don't love, right?

I'm just a little bit worried 'cause it might just get a little too boring.

I'm far too in deep with the beauty of the Physical to give it all away, just to become a mass of energy.

What can I say? Oh yeah, indeed. I am a Scorpio .

Personally, I think that if anything happens it will be more of a thought shift that will allow these "4th dimensional" things to be possible in this physical world, so I don't think there will be any more limitations put on us, I think that we'll discover some hidden abilities that we have.

Basically, I think (hope) sex will still be the same  :-D

If we did, how would we know where we are?  I've been in really interesting underground bunkers, but frankly I have no idea where I was.  Only that it was underground, and it was military, and I was scared to even admit this much.  Go figure.

That's true, I probably should've broadened my question to something like: has anyone been to area-51 esqe areas?  Government/military only areas?

That just comes with practice and time.

First, sit there and just "feel" the muscles in your head and face.  Feel how tight they generally are.
It takes time to actually REALIZE and FEEL how tense the muscles in your head and neck actually are.
I didn't realize this myself until just recently.

Once you're able to feel the tenseness you can begin to relax all the muscles.  It's a very slow process, but you'll slowly (VERY SLOWLY) start to feel the muscles relax from tense contracted state.

People generally try to relax everything, but they miss out entirely on their head and neck when these are the two biggest trouble spots.

I began to feel this last night.  Had THE BEST meditation I've had EVER.  I maintained focus 10 for almost 10-15 minutes, which was a big leap from my normal 4-5.

I also had a really weird thing happen.  When I got pretty deep in my trance I really felt as if I could "see" the room, even though my eyes were closed and it's very dark in my room (I'm in the basement with no windows).  I got a tiny scratch on my nose, and I decided that I wanted to figure out if I could actually "see" my hand when I scratched my nose.  Trying my best to maintain the trance, I reached up, scratched my nose, and returned my hand to my side, watching all of this with my eyes closed.  Very cool, at least for me  8-)

Dusty, sent you a private message look at the upper left.

Yes, thanks again!

Here is the link for all who want it

*message Tiny or I for link*

I read about 8-9 pages then skipped over to information on trances.  I'm sure I'll read the whole thing eventually, but I think just this little bit of information will help me a lot!  :-D

So just to stir up more discussion...  Assuming that the whole "ascend to 4th dimension" theory is correct, what do you think are the "ascendancy" requirements?

I personally think that we'll stay on earth but the effects that the "4th dimension" has will be open to those who are consciously aware that they're possible, which will result in a few at first and then more and more as we go.

Aah why not screw all those names and definitions and our your own ways and find what works best for ourselves?

I don't think of it so much as thinking about nothing, I think of really freezing into myself (lowers my brainwave) and enjoy the buzz, because no trance means no meditation.

See if you can get a hold of Robert Bruce's old Astral Dynamics, it's only 238 pages long filled with dense info, instructions and help and he just takes one through everything step by step including explaining how to trance/meditate properly. Towards the end he rewards the reader with fantastic descriptions of the astral world, it's just a fantastic book, Robert won't let the reader down, I love it.

Robert describes how when you're gathering experience with entering trance you can feel invasive thoughts like impulses and it becomes much easier because you can learn to just ignore this impulses because they need your stimulus in order to take control of you.

I'd like to but I don't even really know how to properly meditate.  I'm sure eventually I'll wander off on my own merry way, but because I'm starting I'd like to have a little "guide" if you will, so that I have a few leads to go off of. Then once I get better I can start...  Well...  Messing around.

And I'd love to get some books, but I don't think it's very likely because of my home life (don't ask).   :-(

So wheres your proof Tiny?

And heres me thinking letting go of the ego was part of becoming elightened....

This.  It's not that I doubt you tiny, but you're claiming there's little proof for a molten core...  Well where's proof that there's not?  You talked a lot about there not being one but I'd like to see some concrete evidence before I make my decision.

Hi dusty,

I respect yambushi's oppinion and it could well be what he says but should we not look to the more possible solutions before concluding more complicated solutions.

I mean firstly you know this person really well so thats all it could be.
secondly most people are very predictable and so it could also be that.
thirdly sometimes we pick other peoples vocab up easily and even to say there thought patterns (we sorta know how they feel and would act in a situation) so mabye you are just thinking what you think he would be and putting his vocab to it all the time subconsioulsy.

I too get this a hell of alot at least more than once a day with people i just met and the most bizzare conversations that i would never have known the least about yet still finish it off accordingly
all the while i have never thought twice about ths until you mention it.

What do you think yambushi could this be passed off as the above or is it really an psychic abillity?

take care

The only reason I really posted it (because I had originally thought that this was one of your possibilities) is because that ever since I've started actually working hard on meditation this has been happening more and more and even with people I hardly know.  So I'm not really sure what this is  :?

that's too bad maybe I should learn to enjoy both equally and convince my self that something I enjoy is completely terrible. although I haven't seen many episodes of man vs wild, it is a very interesting show.

I'm not a religious person (like, at all) but are you actually preparing yourself for hell?  Wouldn't it be easier to, oh, I don't know, pray or something?!?!

Seems relatively pointless when most religions offer forgiveness right when you ask for it  :?

Dusty,

you might also want to try acupressure on yourself, it deals with the same concept of meridian energy points (hundreds from which you can choose) as EFT does but it's more intense. It kicks my back-pain all the time.
Research for points that deal with the energy flow of the head or are listed as treatments for headache etc.

Meditation is great. The keyword for proper meditation, i found, is "surrender".

And for meditation to really become an effective medicine, for me anything under 2 hours daily in DEEP meditation is a no-go.

I may have to try this.  Although I've really liked the tapping that I've been doing for the last few days.  It can be weird though, in public, when I get frustrated to have to find somewhere private that I can tap for a few minutes.

P.S.  I guess I'm having a hard time understanding "different" meditations.  I always hear about all these different things to do/focus on but I guess I need some big place to list a lot of them out that I can use as a reference.  All I seem to be able to do is just zone out for about 15 or 20 seconds (progress!) and think about "nothing" which is nice, but the energy stuff still has me confused.

More like an entanglement between two people where intention, while expressed differently (mentally on your part, verbally on the other person's part, in your instance), is the same. No one influences the other nor causes the other to do anything; it is just a synchronization.

Imagine being like this with 80% of the people you interact with in any given day.

Ah okay.  I think I understand now.

And that would just be...  Well...  Awkward.  I notice this happening more and more with the people I'm around, and each time it's just weird.  I get this really "flash" like feeling in my head and for a second the only thing in my mind is the last words of their sentence.

Is this some sort of gift?  IE could I build on this ability and perhaps use it for something else?  Or does it just mean that I really know people around me?

So, after 'sleeping' what do you think people usually do after they find out there dead?

Well...  I'll still be partying hard  :-D

Reciprocal immanence. It is simultaneously you changing their sentence, and their sentence changing your thoughts.

So it's almost a connection between two people occurring where their thoughts both influence each other?

BTW - since I posted the topic I remembered an incident I had when I was probably 13/14.  I had pretty much one friend at that point and time and so we spent almost every day together.  He and I are still great friends, but one night I remember he was talking to his parents, I walked into the room and without even knowing what he was talking about I finished his sentence almost subconsciously.  Would that be an example of this "reciprocal immanence"?

lol sorry but I've never seen such a well-derailed thread in such a short amount of time :-D

Haha true.   :-D

But a bit more on topic, I've read some really good things about MAP, but unfortunately I can't attest to it because I would more than likely not be able to have it in my house (I'm 17 with a conservative/christian family, you do the math  )  I think you'd find a lot in the book reviews sections as well.
