Welcome to Metaphysics! / invisibility

Quote from: pod_3What was the nature of your thoughts during this trance?

I can't remember it was 16 years ago. I think I was thinking about my art and something I wanted to create. I was doing a lot of painting back then and one of the people who walked in on me was a man who bought a painting I made for $200.

Quote from: CaCoDeMoNHi Archnea!
Maybe you've read somewhere about US civil war/martial law predictions, and your fears are manifesting in your dreams? Many people are predicting such events, but I am skeptical to this. I don't think this was typical nightmare...

Nope I haven't been reading any predictions. I did end up at a food shelf tonight and was amazed at the turn out. You'd be amazed at how many people have fallen into poverty since Bush has been in office. Since my divorce I have had to go to food shelves monthly because my ex-husband gutted the house we are trying to sell so I can't live in it and my bills have been amazingly high these past few months. My $10.95 per month Internet connection is the only luxury I allow myself to have with my 3 year old lap top that I bought when finances weren't so tight.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Lest We Forget
October 27, 2004, 01:04:09
This is why I will vote:

"Lest we forget..........

The women were innocent and defenseless. And by the end of the night, they were barely alive. Forty prison guards wielding clubs and with their warden's blessing went on a rampage against the 33 women wrongly convicted of "obstructing sidewalk traffic."

They beat Lucy Burn, chained her hands to the cell bars above her head and left her hanging for the night, bleeding and gasping for air. They hurled Dora Lewis into a dark cell, smashed her head against an iron bed and knocked her out cold. Her cell-mate, Alice Cosu, thought Lewis was dead and suffered a heart attack. Additional affidavits describe the guards grabbing, dragging, beating, choking, slamming, pinching, twisting and kicking the women.

Thus unfolded the "Night of Terror" on November 15, 1917 (a mere 87 years ago), when the warden at  the Occoquan Workhouse in Virginia ordered his guards to teach a  lesson to the  suffragists imprisoned there because they dared to picket Woodrow Wilson's  White House for the right to vote.

For weeks, the women's only water came from an open pail. Their food--all of it colorless slop--was infested with worms. When one of the leaders, Alice Paul, embarked on a hunger strike, they tied her to a chair, forced a tube down her throat and poured liquid into her until she vomited. She was tortured like this for weeks until word was smuggled out to the press.

So, refresh my memory. Some women won't vote this year because--why, exactly?  We have carpool duties? We have to get to work? Our vote doesn't matter? It's raining?

Last week, I went to a sparsely attended screening of HBO's new movie "Iron Jawed Angels." It is a graphic depiction of the battle these women waged so that I could pull the curtain at the polling booth and have my say. I m ashamed to say I needed the reminder.

All these years later, voter registration is still my passion. But the actual act of voting had become less personal for me, more rote. Frankly, voting often felt more like an obligation than a privilege. Sometimes it was inconvenient.

My friend Wendy, who is my age and studied women's history, saw the HBO movie, too. When she stopped by my desk to talk about it, she looked angry.  She was--with herself. "One thought kept coming back to me as I watched that movie," she said. "What would those women think of the way I use--or don't  use--my right to vote? All of us take it for granted now, not just younger women, but those of us who did seek to learn."  The right to vote, she said, had become valuable to her "all over again."

HBO will run the movie periodically before releasing it on video and DVD.  I wish all history, social studies and government teachers would include the movie in their curriculum.  we  are not voting in the numbers that we should be, and I think a little shock  therapy is in order.

It is jarring to watch Woodrow Wilson and his cronies try to persuade a psychiatrist to declare Alice Paul insane so that she could be permanently institutionalized. And it is inspiring to watch the doctor refuse.  Alice Paul was strong, he said, and brave. That didn't make her crazy. The doctor admonished the men: "Courage in women is often mistaken for insanity."

If you are moved by this, maybe you'll pass this on to all the women you know. We need to get out and vote and use this right that was fought so hard for by these very courageous women." Author Unknown

I received this in an e-mail from a woman I correspond with named Malena http://www.malenateves.com

I will vote for Kerry because of where he stands on environmental issues. Our living earth will go through much abuse from Bush and his cronies. I have lung problems and every year the air I breath in this city gets more toxic. They don't know how to dispose of nuclear waste but they still promote its use. That is worse than flying a plane without a pilot. I lived off the grid for 8 year and hope to do it again.

I don't like Kerry but in my eyes he is the lessor of two evils.

Welcome to Dreams! / Odd Nightmare
October 26, 2004, 16:36:04
I've had precognitive dreams all my life and I sometimes have trouble telling which ones are. My last one was right before 9/11 happened. I had dreamed about a woman fighting in a war. She was in US war fatigues and planes were dropping things from the sky.

This dream was about some disaster that hit the US. I never found out if it was natural or war related but in the dream people were coming to the area where I live for food and water. Where I live hadn't been hit with whatever drove the people here. They had soup kitchens serving food at midnight and I had to stand in a long line to get food from the food shelf. There were homeless people everywhere.

I don't know if it was a precognitive dream or not.

For those of us who have seen ghosts I'd have to say this whole world is haunted. I never saw any signs before I saw them and my first two sightings were quite startling.

I have heard the thoughts of others on occasions but there are ways of sealing yourself from their thoughts.

I don't know why "our sub-conscience blends our knowledge with imagination" but it is a good thing it does because the two combined can be very inspiring.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Controlling the weather
October 24, 2004, 16:11:25
I don't try to control the weather but sometimes I swear the weather empathizes with me and likes to gain my notice. I had a mixed storm songs tape when I was younger and every time I played it, it would storm. Last night I wore a shirt (that I made) to the Witches Ball. My kids told me, "Mom don't wear it every time you wear that shirt it rains!" The first time I wore it we got caught in a downpour on May Day. The second time I wore it we got caught in a downpour at a fair. Sure enough I wore it last night and it rained on us. I guess it's my magic rain shirt.

Perhaps your girlfriend is an empath. There may be a deep sadness in the person she looked at. If she is she will need to learn to seal herself.

Thank you both. My daughter got out of the hospital last night. She is still getting headaches

The reason I felt it might be an attack is both children complain that they see a lot of ghosts since we moved here. One of my Grandpas died a year ago and he thought I was to lenient with my children. I noticed that every time my children mouth off at me they get hurt. Plus everyone who has taken advantage of my generosity has suffered leg injuries.

When my daughter suffered from the anxiety attack it was right after she told me she hated me and wished I was dead. I ignored her words and didn't let it bother me because I felt like it's better she vent her anger than to bottle it up but all of a sudden that night she started shaking, saying she couldn't get warm, electric jolts were going through her body and her legs couldn't stop thrashing. The doctors found nothing wrong with her. I felt something cold on her skin and thought that maybe something was attacking her.

She later apologized for saying those mean things to me and told me she loves me. I let her know that I know she loves me and that I always love her even when she gets angry.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / invisibility
October 22, 2004, 12:31:55
I have accidentally become invisible twice in my life. I drink lots of cafix, which has chicory. Later I found out it is used for spells of invisibility. I also sometimes wear a cats eye crystal also found out they are used for that purpose as well.

The two times it happened to me I was sitting in a trance and startled two different people (in different situations) when they entered the rooms that I was in and did not see me, until I spoke to them. (They have both been spooked by me since.)

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Fairies
October 22, 2004, 11:55:03
I have dealt with fairies all my life. Another good website for fairies is http://www.worldoffroud.com/ Froud is a firm believer in fairies. I use the tarot deck his art is on and it has been very accurate when I do readings for people.

The card I use to symbolize me is "She who is kissed by Pxies." If you look carefully at my avatar you can see one kissing my head. That photo was not faked. It was taken in1994 when I was outside feeding my infant son some baby food. Here is the full photo.

Fairies are basically astral beings. Also some were considered spirits from the dead. They come in many shapes and sizes. Some are plant, rock, water fire, and earth elementals.

At this website of mine there are links that lead to fairy art. Try the link called "Dragons bard den."

Last night my child had a severe anxiety attack. I think it is possible that she was dealing with a negative attack. The bad thing is now she is being psychologically examined at the hospital. Does anyone have advice for her or I if this happens again. She is my eldest child and I am very worried about her.

(edit)
I took this of her last night. It almost looks like something is on her shoulder. It's probably just a double exposure of her face.
(I was living on no sleep when I first posted this thread.)

Whatever my astral friend Saul is he keeps things interesting. I have more vitality than I did when I was with my husband. I can't say I desire a new spouse anytime soon. I have enough to deal with in my day to day stuff with my children and with trying to start a business. I love my alone time. It inspires my creative energy. Thanks for the advice. I will keep these things in mind but I do not see Saul as a lesser being. He is an equal, intelligent, and has been a friend to me.

My daughter has seen it around me and describes it to me. I mostly feel its presence but whoever it is and whatever it is, it is not lacking of intelligence. My daughter says, "Mom that pink thing is around you again." When I feel his presence. She says sometimes she sees him as a orb or a small person.

An orb once led me to a stone hut at the ruins my ex-step father explored. When I described it to a writer I met named Anne Ross she called it a Will-o-wisp. I met her when I was 14. She was from Scotland and had befriended my step father over the stone ruins we found.

My health problems aren't caused by this being. I have had breathing problems since I was born. My mom smoked when she was pregnant with me. Now that I have a c-pap machine my breathing has been getting better. The surgery I need is caused by a doctors mistake from when she accidentally killed my infant son 5 years ago. The incision by my belly became a hernia. My weight gain was caused by depression over grief. Since the depression has subsided my weight is declining at a slow but healthy rate. I don't blame my bad luck on negatives, I blame it on the human condition. My problems have made me the resilient person I am. I have had a hard life but it has shaped me into an incredibly strong person.

When I got hit by a car this being softened my landing so that I didn't break any bones. When I almost died during a severe sleep apnea attack this being threw me back into my body and got me breathing again.

I have not been intimate with it lately but it still checks in on me and comforts me when I am sad. It does claim to be deeply in love with me and has learned to communicate with me. When it is around me it flashes a tiny diamond speck of light for me to notice things. It tried to warn me that my baby was still alive in me when the doctor thought he miscarried. I regret not listening to this beings warnings. At that point I thought my astral friend was some kind of delusion.

Robert Bruce's description of an incubus does remind me of one of the times my daughter described what she saw of this being once. Are all incubus negative? I think to categorize all these beings that way is like a form of prejudice. Their personalities may differ as much as humans. I meet positive and negative people all the time. Some are smarter than others. the same goes for animals too. Some of my cats have been smarter than some humans I know. As I said before "Not everything is black and white."

In my dreams he takes on the shape of a man. I have never astral projected without his help and only in my sleep. He takes me places. He once took me to see Jupiter in 1999.

Quote from: boydsterSex entities are good at projecting thoughts, emotions, desires and images of what they think you want. And they love to take your energy. But they don't love the way we do, in my opinion. They are like insects.

The same could be said about us. We suck up this living planets resources like a bunch of insects. We even swarm in cities like ants in ant hills.

My astral friend has been kinder to me than any people I have ever known. When there is trouble afoot he warns me. When danger is near he lets me know. I do not feel drained from him. I have felt comforted during times of grief. Some people have been more of a drain on my energy like my toxic family or my ex-spouse. I think people misunderstand the astral world. Just because we can access it doesn't mean we know everything about it. Everything isn't just in black and white.

 To channel the Divine ("Supreme Being") you must be divine. When you feel that sacred time in your soul where you are at one with the creator and feel love and compassion in your heart for all, then you will know what it is like to channel the Divine Being. The creator is in everything good and evil. Evil is like a thorn in the paw of a lion. To pull the thorn out you can wish healing and love upon all beings positive and negative.  There is a feeling you get when you feel the sacred love inside you. It is euphoria. The more people who strive to heal all that are, the more beautiful this world will become. Forgiveness is a key to unlock the door and let the healing inside you. (Forgiveness of self and others.)

Hmmm, can't see it. I hope it turns up again. It is a evocative statement.
Here it is in another Link:

It also has an article about "The Bush/Kerry Skull and Bones connection." I didn't know about That until today.

I am a US citizen but I will put my two cents in. Kerry has my vote although I am not overtly fond of him either. I think Bush has some nerve to claim he's Christian. He has done a very poor job of running this country.

People like me who are physically disabled have more trouble getting medical care. I am on Medicare but my last visit to the hospital cost me $800 and I can barely feed my kids. When I have to go in for my surgery who knows what they will charge me then. Co pay on my medication for high blood pressure is to way to much. I had to go a few days without it last month because I didn't have the money.

I also think all war is barbaric. I felt like he deceived everyone with his reasons for going to war. What happened to, "Thou shalt not Kill?" If he is such a good Christian why isn't he showing it? If I wrote all my reasons I'd fill a book.

I don't wish the man ill but I didn't vote for him and I won't vote for him this time either.

Perhaps the person was trying to steal your energy. My mother does that to people. Just recently she tried to teach my 11-year old daughter to do it. Luckily my daughter asked me about it and I told her not to listen to her Grandmother and told her that nothing but bad karma will come from stealing other peoples energy. People like that are never really happy or fulfilled by their lives.
#46
Not all beings you encounter that way are figments of your fears or dreams taking form. The astral world has many beings in it just like our world does. I met a creature like that once but he had bat wings and was the size of a cat. It was like a tiny gargoyle. It was on my shoulder the same way. He made my energy feel quite uncomfortable and I had to force myself awake. I wasn't out of my body but I was seeing the astral world which sometimes happens to me in the early am. Once when I was a early teen in the 1976 I saw an astral thunder-bird that way.
#47
Mr. Bruce do you think it is possible for incubus to love?

I have been intimately involved with one probably since childhood but only became aware of him in 1998. I think it came from some ancient ruins that my ex-step father was exploring. I spent much of my childhood playing in these ancient gardens on the east coast of the US. That is the first place that I encountered astral beings.

A year ago when I first entered this forum as The Bard I came here trying to figure out what my astral friendly was. I do not feel like he drains my energy. I have more energy now just by leaving a toxic marriage and discovering that being without a spouse isn't so bad.

I do have photos in which he has shown up. Here is one that was taken at night on the 4th of July 2003. I was huddled in the dark in a blanket. He showed up in the photo but I am hidden in the shadows.

:P  Hi I use to post here as the bard a year ago but my life has changed so much since then that I decided to return with a new name.
