In part, machines is what got us into this mess in the first place.  We're losing our ability to do great things by having machines do it all for us.

Quote from: beavisWe are mostly wasting our time learning to do telekinesis or other psychic abilities. It would be A LOT more useful to figure out how these things work (instead of our intuition of them) so we could build machines to do the same. With thousands or millions of people working on it, we would have access to much more accurate info than we could get by ourselves.

They used to say you can't build a machine that can think, but today the world chess champion is a computer. It tied in the last competition, but it is twice as fast now, so it must be a better player now.

We will get nowhere if we only increase our own knowledge but nobody else's. If something exists, science can eventually understand it. Most of us know psychic things exist. We are the few with info on a new subject to science. It is up to us to translate it into scientific terms.

Those of us who are professionals in some area of science (myself included, computer software) should try to help in the design of such a machine. The most useful professionals know about physics and brains.

I'm not convinced that you can fully block your thought patterns in somehow, I'm not sure convinced it is even the solution to your problem.  That spirit is probably begging for attention and is obviously trying to mess with you.  In short, he's feeding on something from you.  Probably a reaction you have in certain situations.  If you stop feeding him, he'll go away.  The tricky part is to figure out what exactly is he feeding on.

Quote from: masochist monkI have this spirit who can read my mind, and I just need to block the connection off. He is just there all the time, commenting on everything, and there are some things that I wish to not share. I just am tired of talking to him. Also I want to know how to protect yourself, sometimes he messes with my thoughts and not sure if it was me or him, he mimics my own voice, or acts it out to make it seem like I'm thinking it. I want to learn more on how he can move my body parts, make me feel sensations and use my senses, on sexual energy, how all of this is being done. Any info is appreciated.

I'm no expert, but I would *guess* (Not really).  In effect, the light rebounds differently on different surfaces and the pattern of light that is allowed to pass on the edge of a surface is different depending on the surface, thus in a physical sense, I would go for no.

The most common is an afterimage type of haze that will appear around objects if you stare at them too long. this is caused by a  bleaching of the light sensitive chemical in your eyes called Rhodopsin.
Would the afterimage appear around everything if I just stare at one thing, or would those be auras?

Actually, I can't recall exactly where I read this; but the statement was in order of "A fitter physical body reflects a fitter energetic body" in the sense that it is easier (ie: less blockages) than someone who may not be.  perhaps this has something to do with the fact that you think about your body's various parts a little more than someone who doesn't work out that much and that's more or less the basis for energy work.

Quote from: J.K.Hey Gang..   :)

New member - lots of questions, but I wanted to start off with this one first.

I began a pretty strenuous weightlifting program about 6 months ago.  I've been very faithful to it, and I plan to continue with it.  As a result, I noticed with interest the comments about relaxing the body in the opening tutorials.

If your muscles are slightly sore, pumped, fatigued, etc.. is this a hindrance to astral projection - a possible benefit - or does it make any difference?

Thanks!

Welcome to Dreams! / Dream in a dream?
January 22, 2005, 15:56:31
Here's an interesting dream I just had.  I was morning and I wasn't out of bed.  I had awaken at around 10 and was doing some light energy work.  Eventually, I got a little sleepy and put that aside to gain a little more rest.  I reached a point where I was semi-conscious.  I could start hearing noises very clearly; in fact, my dad was walking into the room looking around at my stuff.  The weird thing is that I noticed that the sounds weren't real and that the person there truly wasn't there, but the noises were so realistic that I couldn't help but to think that I was being felled into believing this.  As I noticed that, I pulled back and forced my eyes open, only to realize what I already knew; None of it was there.  So I re-closed my eyes and a few minutes after, the noises start again and there's my dad walking in my room again.

The weird part is that my clock was set for 11:30 and did indeed ring at that time.  When I woke up, I felt a very heavy sensation, which led me to believe that the whole thing was actually a dream.  In other words, I never really opened my eyes in the first place.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Predictions for '05?
January 17, 2005, 21:07:59
Thanks for sharing.  Initially, I was gonna write "This stuff is scarry" and in  some sense it truly is; but in another sense it isn't.  In general, it just sickens me to see how people play the game so intensely.  There's no doubt that the US has intelligence gatherers on multiple countries; heck it's not the only one doing that type of stuff, but it's the only country that's willing to bully people around.  I shoudl excuse myself as country truly isn't the right word.  Bush isn't even to be blamed, as he is only a puppet.  It's the demoncrats under him that control the strings and their agenda is a sick one.

Quote from: Tayesin
Quote from: Tayesin
US goes into Iran.... possibly, so don't quote me saying I said it had to happen.  It's currently a possibility not a probability.

Here's something being reported in the national media today in Australia..

"US searching for weapons in Iran: report
11:53 AEDT Tue Jan 18 2005

US commandos have already begun searching for secret chemical and nuclear weapon sites in Iran, according to a new report.

The Bush administration views the hard-line Islamic country as the next big war zone, an unnamed former intelligence official told this week's The New Yorker magazine.

"This is a war against terrorism, and Iraq is just one campaign," he said "Next, we're going to have the Iranian campaign.

"We've declared war and the bad guys, wherever they are, are the enemy. This is the last hurrah - we've got four years, and want to come out of this saying we won the war on terrorism."

Investigative reporter Seymour Hersh, who first revealed the Abu Ghraib prisoner abuse scandal in Iraq, claims US teams have penetrated eastern Iran with Pakistan's help.

He asserts he was repeatedly told that the next strategic target was Iran.

"Everyone is saying, `You can't be serious about targeting Iran. Look at Iraq," the ex-intelligence official said.

"But they say, `We've got some lessons learned - not militarily, but how we did it politically. We're not going to rely on agency pissants. No loose ends, and that's why the CIA is out of there."

Iran has long resisted demands to open its nuclear energy program to inspectors, fuelling speculation and international tensions.

While it has agreed to temporarily halt its enrichment programs, which generate fuel for nuclear power plants, western countries including Britain are aiming to persuade its leaders to go further and dismantle its machinery.

In return, Iran is reportedly calling for solid benefits from Europe, including oil-production technology and heavy-industrial equipment.

Hersh told CNN that if targets are lined up by this summer, US attacks may follow.

The report suggests that the Bush Administration has been conducting secret missions in Iran since last summer with intelligence gathering on nuclear, chemical and missile sites forming the focus.

"The goal is to identify and isolate three dozen, and perhaps more, such targets that could be destroyed by precision strikes and short-term commando raids," it reads.

Hersh quotes a government consultant who claims certain Pentagon civilians "want to go into Iran and destroy as much of the military infrastructure as possible"."

So there you have it..  wonder where this will lead ????

I do agree, but in theses cases, I would define it more as a sacrifice than a suicide.

Quote from: CaCoDeMoN
Quote
Suicide is considered a sin against yourself in many traditions and a sin in general in others. I personally feel that the reason behind your suicide dictates how you finally judge yourself for that action.
Sometimes suicide is a best choice...
#33
That's along the same lines I was thinking about except I didn't think they would be worst but equal.  Obviously you're administering theses yourself as you get a feedback of what you give for the experience :).

Quote from: Telos
Quote from: heterI was wondering if there any spiritual authority that control us all. For example, what if I were to kill someone using magick, what would the consequences be and who would administer them?

Far worse, and yourself.

This is one of the facts that I read in a book and couldn't find anything to contradict it, thus I accepted the fact until I can prove it wrong.  I read that in a book.  Some kind of "daily thoughts" and the guy who wrote it is some guy involved in Khaballah.

Although it wasn't written, I don't know if it follows the same logic as suicide in that it only happens when it wasn't planned to happen before being incarnated.  Unfortunately, information on this is very scarce.

Quote from: CaCoDeMoN
Quote
Killing someone or something typically enables that being to experience the same thing you do. Sometimes you may feel them (for good or bad). This is also true for people who eat meat. If you get weird thoughts sometimes, it could come from that.
Is this really true?
#35
My current beliefs are also along theses lines.  We are here to experience.  This means that whatever we do, we also feel the repercusion of.  So if you do something bad to someone, you will endup feeling what it feels like in that very situation (perhaps in this life, perhaps in another).  If you do something good, you also get that thrown back at ya.  This creates a natural balance where eventually, you would hope that many people would learn their lesson and tend towards the things that brings joy and love into this world.  The Law is really a sad representation ofwhat things are.  The Law (human law of course) does not distinguish or discern emotions from facts, so it may punish someone who didn't hurt anyone and conversely, may forget to punish someone who truly hurted someone in a significant way.

Suicide is an interresting end since (in most cases, it is a person's desperate attempt to forget their troubles).  In that case, the person is typically incarnated very quickly into a same or worst situation until they overcome the issues as they initially agreed to.  Some suicides are actually justified, because they were planned.  In some eastern cultures, you will find this story of "Jihad" and similar cases of suicide for god.  This story is not actually stupid or false, but like many things, it was wrongly interpreted and used for power as you can easilly see today.

Killing someone or something typically enables that being to experience the same thing you do.  Sometimes you may feel them (for good or bad).  This is also true for people who eat meat.  If you get weird thoughts sometimes, it could come from that.

Take it or leave it, this is a combination of what I believe and it all comes from literature from various sources.

Quote from: LeventisIn my humble opinion I think that things are more likely to be an eye for an eye.  When you do good, you receive good when you do bad you receive bad.  When we suffer it doesn't necessarily mean that we did something wrong in this life but many times on a previous one. (thats if you believe in reincarnation of course)  I don't think giving love and help to another suffering person gives you bad kharma.  It just doesn't sound right to me a person helping and being affected in a bad way. Thats all :)

I agree if the definition comes after the prediciton =).  All terms need to be defined prior to it for anything to make sense.  Words are so weak!

Quote from: sublunaryThe purpose of defining anything is to aid prediction.
#37
You're right...  Unless the person had a good history of predicting accurately such as a few famous people (Cayce, Bhagavanta? [french] and a few selected other)

Quote from: AllseeingeyesI had a dream about a huge tidal wave two nights before the tsunami...the thing is...I had no idea what it was relating to (if anything) and even if I DID know, what could I have done to stop it? Even if a lof of people predicted it, I doubt anyone would have listened.
#38
It's diffrent because we have all been "programmed" to think/act that way, but theoretically, nothing stops you from making it the same.  Some religions (I'm not a part of it for the books), actually operate under this type of phylosophy, so it's really a cultural thing and nothing more.

Quote from: alexdNo romance between gf/bf is different.
I think there is a serious problem with having many partners at the same time, but I just can't put my finger on it.
Wouldn't security be another thing that places a line between friends and lovers?

It's interesting though why a relationship has to be worked at to maintain but a friendship doesn't.

Alex
#39
Define "romance".  If you do so, you'll find that you'll have a pretty hard time splitting the line between g/f and friend once more.  I'm romantic with my friends (by the definition of romantic).  I'll bring them gifts once in a while...  will kiss them (on the cheeck; duh), etc...

Quote from: TyciolI'm all for polyamorygamy, but I'm pretty sure there are differences between a friend and a girlfriend besides sex, since you can have a girlfriend who you don't have sex with and still be romantic. Romance is the difference.

If you don't feel the need to say more it's because there is nothing more that needs to be said =).  Either way, warm welcome to the forum.  I hope you can find everything that you have been looking for.  There is definitely some good information in theses forums.  The tricky part is to extract it =)

Quote from: gwynneStumbled across this place as I do all the most interesting places!  Just popping in to say hi :D  Not good at these intro thingies as I never know if I've said enough or said too much so I'll leave it at that and if you want to know more, just ask!

I second what she said.  If you talk to a lot of people, they will claim that it is actually a good thing that not everyone is "gifted" because the more aware you are, the more prone you are at receiving the feedback you generate.  The first thing you probably want to do is to rid yourself of negative thoughts.  That's unbelievably hard, but surely you can diminish the amount.  Willingly or not, when you will something, it gets written in the astral.  The more thought you put into it, the stronger your thought is and the closer it goes to the physical.  Your death wish (even if it may not be entirely your fault), is in some way your fault.  The question really is to what degree.

What is done is done, but you have the ability to change your present situation and of course your future one.  Master your mind/thoughts, it's the only way you'll grow.

=) Interresting.  Once in a while when I vibrate/tune at a very high frequency, I tend to see what I would best describe as "light dust particles" moving very quickly.  Think bubbles in boilling water.  It's not really a color as much as a "brighter" point for a lack of a better word.  This could be something else, but I'm wondering if it could also be what you have described here.

Quote from: James SWOW! That's a fair list!!

In a nutshell - you have spirit vision. You're a person that is naturally adept at seeing what is normaly considered unseen, and you clearly have not supressed this ability from childhood.

All that you described are spirit forms, it's just the way you are seeing them that seems to vary.

The coloured orbs you see - definitely spirit, and more to their true form. My best friend's father-in-law sees spirits in this same way - orbs of pure light or energy. The colours of the orbs give an indication of thier level of evolution. The brighter they are and higher frequency the colour (think light spectrum - red lower, blue/indigo higher). If you ever see a golden orb, very good chance your looking at an angellic being. The dull grey ones are probably ones I'd steer clear of, or at least ask to leave if they come into your presence. I would never call any being bad or evil, but orbs of this colour would be of a vibration level lower than yours, and probably not worth being around.

There's a great deal to go into here, and looks like you've got some great times ahead of you should you choose to learn more about the spirit world. The most general thing I can say here is when you see or feel these beings about you, use your intuition, your gut feeling to tell you if you want them around or not. If you don't like the feeling of a spirit, ask it to leave. you don't have to be nasty or forceful, just definite and decisive. We have far greater strength in the physical world than disincarnate spirits. Don't ever let them worry you.

Kind regards,
James.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / If I Ruled the World

I stumbled upon this song from "Regina Belle".  The type is Smooth Jazz, so it may not please everyone, but hate attention I wanted to bring was towards the lyrics which are indeed very beautiful/thoughtful:

If I ruled the world
Every day would be
The first day of Spring
Every heart would have
A new song to sing
And we'd sing of the joy
Every morning would bring

If I ruled the world
Every man would be
As free as a bird
Every voice would be
A voice to be heard
Take my word
We would treasure each day
That occurred

My world would be
A beautiful place
Where we would weave
Such a wonderful dream
My world would wear
A smile on its face
Like the man in the moon
When the moon beams

If I ruled the world
Every man would say
The world was his friend
There'd be happiness
That no man could end
No my friend
Not if I ruled the world
Every head
Would be held up high
There'd be sunshine
In everyone's sky
If day ever dawned
When I ruled the world
If I ruled the world

... Makes on dream I would say

The lower self is responsible for all of this.  Why can't you have many g/f?  Why can't she have many b/f?  Why is there any need to have a g/f or b/f in the first place?  What do you give them which you cannot give anyone else?  If you analyze things strongly, you'll notice that there is little difference between a best friend and a g/f (Of course there's the occasional sex but that's arguably available outside a g/f, b/f relationship.  and there's also the fuzzy stomach feeling which is again related to your lower self (esteem), but in truth, there's little difference).

What drives all of this are feelings of jealousy, possession, power, ....  Why do you think that so many relationships fall apart?  People simply aren't made to live with one single other person.  Socially speaking, it's not accepted to have many b/f, g/f so to speak, but take a second to think of the impact this would have if we could.  We would basically need to let go of jealousy and possessive feelings we generate and we could "love" everyone equally.

Eventually we may get rid of theses self-less notions, but we'll need a fundamentally different society to achieve that.  One that lives more as a community than a set of people.

Quote from: alexdHi everyone,

It is absolutely driving me insane that we have to define relationships. For example we have to say "we are boyfriend and girlfriend" or "we are a couple" or "we are friends" or "we are friends with benefits" ect. What does each of these actually entail? What is the root purpose of such titles and statements? Security? I have gotten to the point where I just want to say "I Am" next time my girlfriend asks me "why do you act *this* way if you love me, you should act like *this* if you want to be my bf, otherwise we are just friends". This "labelling" seems to take a great toll on freedom and liberation. My question is why can't people live as a couple and let their relationship be governed by moral truths and the sense of righteousness and devotion to each other? Why must we place chains on ourselves instead of just accepting a union as is? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this just overanalyzing the reality of a partnership. Sorry for ranting, I am having relationship problems at the moment and this is driving me crazy. If you think there is valid reason for such labelling I would love to hear your thoughts. I hope there is sense in what I'm saying.

Thanks
Alex

The vibrations I've gotten from reading the article typically hint towards the truthfulness/realization of the information.  Thanks for sharing...

Many have heard that "Atlantis is rising" or similar statements that it will be found, but I'm afraid most don't know the Manning of it.  It's not physical but at a higher level.  Many are amongst us today =)

Hi; I said I would post an update, so here goes;

I've killed that relationship I was talking about.  It may have worked if I was willing to push it further (who knows), but inside I knew that it wasn't right as she was just about everything I was not looking for.  I guess surpersition and curiosity were stronger than reason at that stage.  I'm still stunned at the number of 13s in there, but it wasn't meant I guess =) and am pretty sure I made the right choice.

Speaking of 13 :o\.  Another one poped up.  Maybe I'm just looking too hard, but what are the odds; I keep thinking to myself.  I've met someone else which is the opposite of the first person.  ie: we like the same things pretty much (it looks like a kind hearted person).  It's actually scarry to see how many things are alike.  Anyhow; Of course, being as stubburn as I am, I had to look at the numbers regarding our contacts; I knew that it wasn't a 13th, but to my despise (or luck?) it's still there (yes once again).  We met on Jan 3rd.  Read 1-3 if you were to write it out as numbers.  :o\

It gets worst; I just looked at my emails and I have an email from her for just every single day of December EXCEPT the 13th.  I wish I understood the pattern a little more :o(

Welcome to Dreams! / Experiencing life in a dream?
January 06, 2005, 02:29:17
I've had this interesting experience yesterday (technically this morning).  At night, I was watching t.v. and took 2 of my fav. stuffed animals (yah; even though I'm grown up <lol>) and placed them on my lap.  For whatever reason, I thought for a brief second (I'll have one daughter and one son. One was female and the other male) so my dream may have been caused by that, but it left my mind pretty quickly after the initial thought came around, so here goes the dream:

The dream (unfortunately) is slightly blurry now since it's been ~18hrs since I've had it, but somehow, I recall making love to a girl (I almost feel like it was an acquaintance I had made in Vegas last year, but maybe that was just my brain associating a face to a person; she lives too far anyways :o\).  This part was more of a fact then an event I experienced in the dream.  At one point, time shifted quickly and I realized that I was a single father; that I would have a daughter.  Time moved on quickly and her age was around 7 I'd guess.  The interesting part is that I felt what I would best disrobe as "fatherly love".  One where the child precedes everything in your life.  I also experienced the child's birth, but the weird thing is that no mother was actually involved.  It was like the child "came to be" somehow.  This part is unfortunately slightly blurry.

I don't have any kids and have been single for quite some time, so this was a pretty interesting feeling.  I don't think I had experienced this type of "love" before.  It's also weird technically speaking since you will typically not find a single dad where the mom is not at all in the picture (I have no clue what had happened, but the mom simply wasn't there).

What made this dream especially weird is that I didn't actually go through a plot or a set of actions.  It's not like I was walking and this happen or something of that nature.  It was more like a backwash of information flooding my mind at given points in time.  Sort'a like someone thinking back about the things they have done in the past.  They don't actually see/touch/etc the actions, but they recall their state given the events that happened.

Maybe it's another me experiencing this in another realm.  Who knows :o\  Time will tell...

I loved this article.  I'm not convinced every questions have yet been answered and there may be a few glitched to it, but I personally think that the general idea he pushes forward is quite interesting.  Taking negative numbers in Maxwells' equation is definitely an interesting move and his theory fits many things.  It would indeed explain an expanding universe, but he falls short of explaining the generation of superlight (black holes is a little short of a good explanation for my tastes), but I dink there's good ideas to retrieve from his text :)

I like to think that there's more to mirrors than meets the eye.  During an OBe, weird things happen when you hit a mirror.  Maybe a mirror is nothing else but a view into another dimension (which ends up being so close to ours that we see everything as a projection from our world); but that would defy physical laws :o\

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing, but I do sense an increase in frequency and energy in general.  Not particular to last week, but ever increasing when I tune to it.

Quote from: RastusYou are choosing an interesting reality to live in.  I myself have been having a lively time dealing with the shift to 5D that happened last week.  There are many more games being played on earth than msot people think, there isn't just one, but they can all occur at the same time with differnt outcomes.

Ain't multi-dimensionality fun?
