Ok, can we get more in touch with what is trying to be done here? I think the term "universal language" is bad, even though subtley, and should be reworded..."The Language of the People on Earth", or more easily "Human's Speak", just because something on this level doesn't need to be half-hearted.
Now as for Latin, I love how it sounds, but a lot of people would admit that the rules necessary to learn it are pretty vast. Can't we take a note from Esperanto and other similar ideas that rules for general concepts such as nouns and verbs should be identical? Nouns always have an -o at the end, are always pluraled with -j, and that's it. I always liked that concept. But I say again, Latin is much too complicated for everyone on Earth to learn. Way way way too complicated; won't work.
