Sure, you're welcome keyangen, let us know how your experiences are going.

Today I had a strange exit, I sort of ran away from my body. It happened spontaneously as I was in trance and waiting for the right time to leave, suddenly I noticed myself standing up and running from the bed and towards the door.

At first I was confused as to what was going on, but then I noticed I had just exited, so I went outside and tried performing some acrobatic cartwheels, too bad I couldn't land on my feet  :|

That's awesome, thanks a lot everyone,
looking forward to hearing of your verifications, Gandalf.

Sorry to hear about your brother and the grief of the family, haven't been able to find that particular text, I know I've read it too, probably on
http://www.near-death.com/

There's this excerpt that says basically the same thing:

Once you're out you can move around as you please, but I said swaying as an exit technique, there are others like spinning or rolling out.

Yup, for some reason you're opening your eyes in the middle of the experience, a more intense exit procedure will also help with this I suppose.

I suggest you try swaying out instead of walking. Interact with the environment too, open the door, window, turn on the radio...

Not sure if other people can have Obes with eyes open, I can't, find myself stuck. That vision you describe sounds like the real-time zone, the dimension between the physical and the astral.

Yes Clarky, as a child I remember having no problems going through walls, but then somehow I lost the hang of it. It was on January 10, 2003, that I was having this dream in which I was in a hotel/hospital looking for a yellow rucksack that contained my parachute, so I was going in every room searching for it, when someone told me I could simply go through the walls by making the sound tssss. It worked.

After waking up I took note of it and decided to try it in other dreams, which proved it to be an effective method.

You're doing a great progress, the vision problem is the most common thing and happens to virtually everyone that goes Obe for the first times, it would actually be very surprising if you could see perfectly.

There are 2 things I think you could try:

1 - Make a very intense exit procedure. Walking away from your body is a very subtle method, it will grant you vision as you walk around, touch the objects, and never on the exit itself. Now If you put more concentration to the act of leaving the body, building up enough momentum by setting your astral body in motion within the physical so that at a certain point you simply sway away from it, it's likely that your vision will be better.

2 -  Put an open book on a table about 10 feet away from your bed, and make an effort to go there and read the words when you're outside.

The first thing to do when you're there is to stabilize, this is to make sure that all your senses will operate correctly, so clap your hands to stimulate the touch and hearing, dance, jump and have fun.

It was a very confusing dream, first I was on the street talking to my grandmother and my mother, then I was in the house taking care of my grandmother, then there were kids petting puppies, then there were people dressed as animals petting people (This I know I saw because I watched Donnie Darko last night, didn't catch it from the start but it was fun).

Then there were some other random stuff and I was cutting my hair, but when I looked in the mirror I was a 16 year old punk rocker guy, and outside there was a 70's style punk rock music that in my mind I was sure I have heard it before, even felt nostalgic for hearing it again, and it went like:

Many money money money money
That you gotta have
Many money money money money
Cast upon our heads

I googled it and, of course, nothing was found, bet they want me to do something with these lyrics

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want to do. What did the shrink say? Do you have a pet?

I believe the monster suggests an irrational fear, could be subconscious, or something you saw on the tv. Seems to have been a fun experience!
#262
That was pretty cool! If it wasn't and Obe then it was an intense lucid dream, either way you're on the right track, very good awareness.
#263
Yup, sounds like you're almost there, soon you'll be out and about
#264
Yes, when I lived in the big city it used to happen being trapped by power lines.

Sometimes I dream that I'm there and the same thing happens the way it used to in my dreams 15 years ago.
#265
Wish I could answer that, but very little is known about what will actually happen to our consciousness when the body dies. It could be that we wake up from life like we wake up from a dream and find ourselves in a familiar place around familiar people and then it goes
#266
Never felt like squeezing, but once I felt like breathing out for 1 whole minute, releasing all the air that was inside my body, it was incredible and felt awesome, like I didn't need air anyway so I could release it all.

Hello atman, welcome to the forums.

Your first experience falling off a tree probably happened right after you fell asleep skipping the initial non-rem stages. It can happen when you're very tired, and you'll usually find yourself in the real-time surrounding area. This can be called spontaneous Obe.

The trance imagery of the skulls indicates you're being affected by negative feelings, most of the time their source can be traced back to events that happened 2 or 3 days ago. You can always change the nature of these images and avoid creating a nightmare. This is actually the perfect time to do that, since it's harder to change the nightmare into a nice dream when you're already in it.

Being unable to talk and move happens a lot to me when the awareness is very high, the only thing left to do is try and communicate with thoughts, they might still respond, but I understand it's frustrating to be hindered like that.

Hello asleep, welcome to the forums
Had the same problem in the past, try the inflation technique:

I liked the video, thanks for posting it, but taking this guy as proof against the 'paranormal' is a little too much. Not that I want to defend the 'paranormal', but let's be fair  :-)

Are you sure this wasn't one of your past lives Golden Light?
It's impressive the amount of details your remember from it. Very nice, congratulations!

I mean that I like it, I can see your experience in my head and it looks awesome, I got a kick out of that song you sang :)

It would be cool if we made some rules, like a limited number of guesses per person, so that everyone can feel comfortable in posting their guesses without having to be totally certain about them, I think 4 is good, and a deadline, could be about 20 days.

Quote from: lady of the ring on April 01, 2007, 19:46:27we started dancing, more like floating, going round and round on the beach and through the waves and singing "God you are the one, God you are the one"

I loved that song!  :-D

P.S. Your post count reads, 666 Andrew.  Are you superstitious?  :-D

Oh, not really superstitious, but better not keep that for too long
#275
Awesome! Ah, don't worry, I haven't been floating around there. :-D I figured I get more accurate answers by researching while in trance.

That's pretty cool, because the only thing I got was 'vase' , then I thought - chinese vase, and it sounded good.

Now the object in question, cup and vase are similar in shape and use, but you're using the cup as a vase since you're keeping things in it, right?
