My most profound meditive experience came when listening to ringing in my ears. Try listening for a more subtle, quieter noise underneath the obvious ringing tone. You might find you get glimpses of one and then lose it again but if you keep at it you should find another non-physical noise.

I've found lots of different noises that have led me into lots of different states consciousness. I've had projections that way too. I suppose it's kind of like phasing but instead of concentrating on sight you do it on sound. Try listening to different areas around your head body and aura. You can find different ones in differen places. Sometimes a sound might only be in one ear.

Interesting. So your saying having a hypo is like losing lucidity in the physical? Thast would explain it. I used to share a cell with a diabetic guy and he'd go a bit crazy when his sugar levels went low. He couldnt listen to reason. Even trying to convice him he needed to eat something was near impossible

Yeah, I just meant you dont want to work on your third eye exlusively all the time forever.

The kundalini yoga book I worked from wanted you to work on each chakra for a month before starting on the next.

Yeah, from what I remember he said he just sort of dropped into a trance while eating and went and done a whole load of retrievals after some big bombing in the usa. He said that every now and again he would become aware of his physical self in the cafe eating lunch and thought he must look pretty wierd to his fellow diners.

In one of his books Bruce Moen talks of projecting while eating his lunch in a cafe.

I reckon that would be more of a split-focus, vivid day-dream type experience though.

My dad's girlfriend sometimes sleeps with her eyes open. If she can do that then I guess its not beyond the realm of possibility to have a fully immersed obe with your eyes open.

When you start using amounts of energy your body isnt used to you'll get reactions. If the effects are too much then do a bit less or only do it every now an again.

I get anxious if I overwork some of my chakras. And I love working on my chakras so it's annoying having to hold myself back. If I've got a weekend where I dont need to see anybody I'll do some serious energy work knowing I'll be ok by the start of the next week.

Also, it's probably not a good idea to just work on one chakra. That could unbalance you.

I used to wonder if anything was real at all. There really is no way to prove it. I could be sitting in a coma somewhere imagining all this.

Ok forget about the elephant, it was just a throw away comment.(even though you could probaly change how their form appears in your mind if you tried hard enough)

But do you think there are any real people in the non physical? Is the concept of your phase just a projection of your own consciousness? Just dreams? Do you not believe in communal places?

Do you believe anything exists apart from yourself? If good/neutral lifeforms can exist why not negative ones?

I've never seen an elephant but I believe they exists.

I knew a native american guy who swore authentic dream-catchers work. But that its all about the blessing they put on it so some mass produced thing wont work.

I've been able to effect my dreams with sigils. If she's the sort of person who could buy into something like that then they can be quite powerfull.

I've got a few techniques that work for me.

  • I was shown this one in a dream. After relaxing I concentrate on a point on my head. Where my hair swirls at the top back of my head there is a slight bump.
    I imagine the feeling of rubbing something over the bump. Just keep doing that for as long as it takes. Dont know what it is about that point (its not my crown chakra) but it works for me.



  • Another one I used to use is imagine that the air above you is full of body-asleep energy. When you inhale think the word 'body' and feel the energy coming in with the air and pooling in your throat. When you exhale think the word 'asleep' and let the energy spread throughout your body making it more and more relaxed. Keep doing it for as long as i takes.



  • I got a colour trance induction off a hypnotism website that worked quite well for me too.
    Relax. Visualize the colour red for a while. Then orange, then yellow, green, blue and purple. Then visualize walking down a white staircase. Stay on each stage till you feel more relaxed than before. And keep walking down the staircase till you're in a good trance or phase into the visualisation. This method has the advantage of keeping your mind occupied like Xanth mentioned.



  • I've finally gotten the hang of producing a falling sensation now as well. It works quite well.


  • I can do the hemi-sync focus 10 technique but that feels like something different to a normal trance state to me.


They all take as long as they take. I can be in a light trance within 5 minutes but to get deep enough just takes as long as i takes.

My body often goes to sleep during Pleiadian light chamber sessions as well but thats just to stop you messing it up. I did have a spontaneous projection in one of the chambers once though.

Sounds worth a try.

Only pitfall I can think of would be that the music would be too distracting when you wake up and stop you reaching the necessary brainwave state.

I know everyone starts off thinking you have to get to the real-time-zone to have had an obe. But what you just described sounds way cooler than your average rtz projection.

That sounds like you were already having an obe to me but that you were just anchored to your body. Closing my eyes allows me to get away from my body from that state. There are some exit techniques in the faq.

With regards to falling asleep; are you just trying to project when you normally go to bed at night? If so you might want to have a nap earlier in the evening or get up in the middle of the night and try to project then.

Some of your dream experiences would be spoiled if your ego came along for the ride. It would just get in the way of the purpose of the experiece. Things wouldnt pay out the way they need to.

It's a being made of an element - earth, air, etc.

The only book I've read that goes into any detail on them is Initiation Into Hermetics. You can make them to do stuff for you, or that might be elementaries(I get confused).

If you pluralize it (elementals), it should make it easier to google.

In theory I agree with you. But I've yet to see someone walk through a physical wall. Energy can interact with other energy - attract, repell. A stone doesnt expect to land on the ground when it falls yet somehow it doesnt pass through the earth.

Partial sight def sounds like a projection in those circumstances. Try shouting, "Light!", "Clarity now!", "Full awareness!", or some such thing. It can work.

Sometimes closing my eyes can help separation for me. It might remover the heavyness. Just keep your eyes closed and get as far away from your body as you can. After a certain distance you sight will come  back without having to open your eyes.

lol I'd never though that others might think of me as their helper. I do find myself float-lifting people quite often, trying to show them they can flly and explaining stuff to them.

Sometimes you have to use thoratic breathing. I've tried using my diaphragm when weight lifting and it just aint practical - you need to tense your abs and your core.

Holding tension can also be about keeping emotions in. I keep meaning to read up on neuro-muscular armouring(my dad keeps mentioning it) but I never get round to it.
