I'm 20 years old. but to be honest It doesnt matter if there are a couple of teenagers on the forums. I feel like although us younger people may not have as much experience as older members, we can still have a lot of wisom to offer, same goes for people younger than me. It can often be an advantage to be younger and therefore not conditioned by society.

best way to work out if you should do a spell morally is to do a divination first, then if its negative and you do it then its your own perogative

Budweiser on tap is ok, better than bottled. However if you want a real drink try some proper beer, such as greene king or newcastle brown ale.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Anyone use Tarot?
February 10, 2003, 06:10:09
I have been using the tarot for 9 months now and learnt something about it last night which I think is key and may benefit all of you. I have been working with a system that requires me to do a reading at least once a day to get to know the cards well. Maybe I should have worked this out sooner but there is no point in asking a question with the tarot unless it means something to you at the time. For example if your having troubles in lovelife and you ask a question relating to it you have more of a chance of getting a good reading than if you just think of a question for the sake of it.

I agree Fenris, I think we can all put this forum to great use. Have you read anything by Aleister Crowley? I brought a book of his collective works, Sepher sephiroth, 777, and Gematria. To be honest they were way to advanced for me, I am not up to that level of Hewbrew alone, (although incidently I am learning Hebrew as I go along) but as a book of correspondances it is a masterpeace.

Adrian, it is from the film the matrix. I agree to an extent with peaceful warriors ideas. However I wouldnt call it a prison for the mind.

Fenris, Over the last 10 months I have been studying higher magick as it appeals to me more than low magick. Although I will look into lower magick too. The book I have found very helpful is 11 lessons in the Higher Magickal arts by Donald Michael Kraig, have you heard of this? is it good in your opinion?

P.S your links in astral chat were great, especially Abardoncompanion.com

These links are great. One of them especially, it has lessons for free on mp3 format, if anyone who learns from a book ever wondered if they were pronouncing things wrong this is a special treat. Also he explains vibrating your voice properly. (www.abardoncompanion.com)

The projection of the astral body: by Sylvan Muldoon and Heweward Carrington. Very good. I read this and tried techniques and almost projected.

I saw the Michael Jackson documentry made by channel4 news's martin bashir, and I think I got a different opinion about the man than everyone else.

I got this enormous ammount of respect for the man after watching. He seems to be one of the most genuine and thoughtful people I have seen. Although it seems he may have major issues with his childhood I dont believe this man is capable of assault on any children as he loves them too much.

My dislike of journalism and the media niggles at my mind constantly reminding me of how much programs are edited in this day and age. keep this in mind when judging Mr Jackson.

He has gained at least one more supporter from this program in me.

Adrian I agree with you to an extent. However, when you talk about the idea that what gives britain, U.S. and other such countries the right to develop nuclear weapons but not iraq/korea I have to differ. I believe that the fact we have weapons is more of a sad consequence of the cold war, but the fact is we have the technology. When it comes to the iraqie example there are 2 major reasons why they should not have them;

1/ Whatever way you look at it, Saddam is a dictator who is brutal and murderous and has in the past developed biological weapons which he genuinely intended to use and put his feelers out for nuclear weapons. would you want him to have such weapons?

2/ As I mentioned above, we have nuclear and other dangerous weapons, thats just a fact we have to deal with. We know the capability of them so why shouldn't we do our best to make sure that other states dont obtain them as well.

Welcome to Metaphysics! / The nature of evil
February 07, 2003, 03:56:31
Perhaps there is no good or evil. Good and evil are human constructs based on our physical obsession with dualties. God is beyond dualties as he is omnipotent so surely he must have qualities of both good and evil as we define them.

If you don't mind me asking, what were the spells you attempted and what were results of them. I am just curious, because over the last few months I have being training in the occult but I havent quite gotten onto the stage of performing specific spells or any kind of grey magick.
#315
bearing in mind if you plan to do any spell on anyone, helping them or otherwise you should always ask their permission.

one method I know of is where you close your eyes and try and sense where the negative energy is comming from and then create a triangle of manifestation on your forehead by pressing your two thumbs together and also you two first fingers, making a triangle. Place this t your forehead while facing the way you sense the neative energy is comming from and then imagine a five pointed pentagram star in the triangle. Next you need to thrust forward with your left foot, pushing the triangle out away from you at the same time. Imagine the pentagram flying out in that direction and sending the neg energy back where it came from. Then it is recomended that you perform a banishing ritual to make it more permanent, perhaps the lesser banishing of the pentagram, or even the rose cross ritual.

Hope this method helps you.

Lets try and lay off what the phak for a bit. Here is a person who was curious about what they saw as a flaw in mr Bruces work. tHey are merely questioning it, and I dont believe they did it in an offensive way.

speaking from my experience of my one concious projection when i managed to walk about, i did notice I had a body and i was walking. However I did have trouble lifting up my arms when I attempted this. It is something I will try to look at next time I manage to have a concious projection.

Another point worth considering is that since each person in the world is completly unique and has been shaped by their own life experiences, is it not possible to argue that each persons perception of projection would also be unique?

Strangely enough,in a documentry I was watching a few months ago, famous psychic Uri Geller mentioned the exact same phenomonen with the number eleven

I aggree with your message. Albeit I have only managed to have a concious projection once before, I have had a couple of near exits. Both these near exits the method I used was to imagine walking around my flat, the sights, sounds, textures and smells of it all. As detailed as possible. I believe that this approach makes your mind question whether you are laying down in bed for example or walking around somewhere else. I stress that its probably better if its a familiar place like a home or workplace.

I was thinking, one of the best way to make your intent come alive is to do it through some method of magick or ritual. A lot of people who project are in fact ceremonial magicians or shamans or whatever equivilant. This is an especially good method as it involves the use of colour, tools and smells associated with a result you desire. For example if you are looking to project then you could have lavender candles and musk josticks, and then construct a spell surrounding your intent asking assistance of various gods and archangels.

This is an extremely effective way of making your intent a reality as many thousands of occultists will tell you.

just thought I'd comment on the idea that you dont need to go into trance to experience astral projection. I believe this is possible through personal experience.

I was layin on my bed after being frustrated after a couple of hours of not being able to sleep. I decided to try this technique of imagining myself walking around my flat and imagining what it is like with all 5 senses, i.e smell what its like, feel (very important) listen etc. I then felt some odd sensations, I felt like I couldnt breath well to start with, then I felt like I was freeing from my body, very giddy light and starting to feel floaty. But i still had sensation and movement. I believe to this day that if I was in trance I would have gotten out.

yeah, its sort of the method that has been the most successful with me. I dont even attempt to go into trance first. My tip to you is to use somewhere you are very familiar with, your house or whatever, while laying down to sleep start imagining yourself walking outside of yourself, starting with your immediate area, try and see as much as you can, and most importantly imagine with your other senses as well, smell if your in kitchen for example and feel the textures of sofas, walls. Do this for as long as you can before you get bored.

What happened to me when I did this is that I felt it was getting harder to breath for a few seconds then I felt light, like there was a force lifting me up, I then tried to concentrate on lifting or floating out and that felt promising.

Possibly the one reason I didnt exit was that I wasnt in trance. Trance is the bit I find the hardest to do, in fact I have only been in trance once! the only obe I have ever had was lucid dream induced.

anyway hope this helps.
