Hi Gingerfox,

I had a distant attunement a few yrs ago and found ok for me. Although I appreciate for many why this method of attunement beggars belief! But then having faith in a supernatural source of healing love is 9 tenths of the stick in the 1st instance!

On the other hand nothing beats hands on training, yet to become a healer in a weekend also may appear fallacious. There was a recent discussion on Reiki by the way. See: -

Reiki Attunement thread http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=12167

Stephen

P.S. A gentle caution... be careful of supplying personal details for distant attunement, although on the whole they are not required and if so only for certification (they and all Reiki certs are not worth the paper they are printed on by the way). It's the intent to offer oneself as a channel that counts [;)].

Hi Everett,

Welcome to the forums.

Projecting pets... absolutely... and why not? I for one have had diseased pets come back in visions if not OBEs, but have certainly heard of numerous other examples!

Notice you are a Lord of the Rings fan. Not that I am a huge fan, but I was recently visiting friends in Edgbaston, Birmingham, England., and my host pointed out two towers near to their home in the aptly named Monument Road. We were to learn that Tolkien found inspiration from the urban landscape surrounding him during his time in Brum, including Perrott's Folly in Waterworks road. On checking the net I was surprised to see this is actually documented.

See: http://www.birminghamuk.com/perrotts.htm , http://www.bbc.co.uk/birmingham/features/2002/11/tolkien/perrotts-folly-information.shtml or

Dear people,

I am pleased to say that the Catholic Church education system in N Ireland totally and unequivocally failed me. Five years shared with my fellow students under the evil hand of their corporal punishment regime in the 1970's put paid to any faith in the so called priestly representatives of that so called mother faith.

Subsequent to leaving my scholarly institution I was to find over the years that not only did many students gain great success in their personal lives in the arts, professions and politics, but also a number had massive breakdowns, attempted suicides etc. Later I was to learn that the fairer sex suffered no better at the hands of their educational caretakers!

I was told that apparently the church sometime in the late 80's or early 90's made a mumbled apology regarding its treatment of the children in it's care, but never made a clear admission of their guilt in the public arena.

So there you go!

Kind wishes,

Stephen

P.S. I am not angry about it now, and forgive the evil barstewards [}:)]
P.S. To give you a flavour of experiences had by other students see the link below. I take no responsibility for the contents of the site. Therefore apologies if it offends anyone's sensitivities, although some of it is actually quite funny. (other mods are welcome to delete)!

Hi Peter,

A warm welcome to these forums! I notice from your profile you describe your occupation as a Minister.

It would be interesting to know how this 'grounded spirit' is presenting itself?
Is it purely creating nuisance factor or something more significant?

This would enable someone (with experience of these things) to begin to ascertain what type of approach could be employed to move it on its merry way. An experienced sensitive psychic, medium or occultist of whatever tradition should be able to sense of this for you and verify its nature.

For instance it may simply be an 'etheric shell' which will eventually dissipate in time (sometimes this is described as a residual energy left over following the passing of someone local to the dwelling), or perhaps if found to be a thought form or other entity a 'house clearance' may need to be performed. If on the other hand if it is an Earth bound soul then a medium experienced in that type of work could perhaps carry out a spirit rescue. Appreciated it may be another scenario altogether!

They are people who may be able to assist you with this issue who use this forum, or perhaps point you in the right direction. In the mean time you may find some benefit in reading some of the articles or books recommended on main site
See: http://www.astralpulse.com/

I expect expedience may be needed here, and hopefully a user from South Africa will pick up on your post. Certainly the secretary a local Spiritualist Church, or an individual from a local Parapsychological Research Society group should be able to furnish you with a contact. Failing that (if not in the Anglican tradition already), why not make an approach to one of your ecumenical brethren in either the Catholic or Anglican faiths - as there is usually someone in each Diocese who has the experience to apply a traditional Christian techniques/approach to this type of matter.

Not sure if this is any help, but hope it provides a little food for thought?

Kind wishes,

Stephen

I was just spoofing you about the rugby jersey though[:P]. We met in Wales where I (much to my embarrasment) dubbed you an "honourary Irishman" for wearing the Irish Jersey, not realising that you are in fact from Northern Ireland!

I think the objects idea is a good one. Perhaps one object and one picture per time might be good? The oject idea has been done here before, with Tisha the moderator achieving startlingly accurate results. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=4603 The experiment begins towards the end of the first page.

Hi do,

There were several tents at the place I was staying over that weekend including a sort of gazebo type one (see below)! There was lots of green as the garden of house I was staying at backed on to open fields and woodland.

Hi Jaclyn,

1st time I remembered having an OBE I was 4 or 5 yrs of age.

On these forums there has been quite a debate on the use of both natural and synthetic drugs as OBE inducers (use the search facility above for examples of threads). With respect to personal use as it were - I have been there (before anyone says there is some sort of religious clampdown here), and had more than a few lessons learnt!

Personally I do not recommend drugs and certainly not pain killers for the purpose of assisting or inducing OBEs. I had a pain management issue a few years ago and had to take moderate/strong analgesic pain killers for nearly a year - they had no positive impact on my ability to OBE, and I found them somewhat de-stabilising in terms of impact on the physical and energetic bodies to be honest.

Stick with a natural and healthy regime of practice, maintain a respect for your mind/body/spirit and you should have a wealth of success with OBEs in good time.

Kind wishes,

Stephen

Hi Ryokie,

Welcome ro the forums and thank you for sharing your experience.

Sounds like you had what is termed a dweller on the threshold as part of your experience. Robert Bruce explains this in his book Astral Dynamics or see the article Astral Beings and Wildlife on the main site: http://www.astralpulse.com/articles/robert/articles_1.htm

I used to have similar encounters when younger (childhood to early teens)... Vampires and the like (other users may laugh loudly if they wish), but tend not to anymore. I don;t think there is anything to be alarmed about here to be honest!

In the mean time enjoy your visits!

Kind wishes,

The pictures were taken btw 22nd and Mon 26th July of: The Tor, St Margaret's Chapel gardens, Abbot's kitchen Glastonbury, and finally Stonehenge.

Thx,

Stephen [:)]

P.S.
The pictures were taken btw 22nd and Mon 26th July of: The Tor, St Margaret's chapel gardens, Abbot's kitchen Glastonbury, and finally Stonehenge.

You guys did much better than you may have initially thought!

The Church gardens might be seen as log cabin like. The Abbot's Kitchen is reminiscent of a bell or space ship/satellite (ish). Although I did see a Helter Skelter - Stonehenge could be viewed as a vaguely similar in structure..

Oh, the white building with a blue flag: I nearly took a picture of the Assembly rooms, Glastonbury when the Crop Circle Symposium and then Goddess festival was on. There were a number of flags hanging outside the building and on Mon 26th the Goddess people were raising a new banner above the entrance door on the left hand side of the building (I think it was blue)! Sorry I couldn't find a better pic on the net.

Ice lolly: perhaps The Tor or Abbot's kitchen may fit! Box perhaps the Tor again!

The Tor sits proud of an 'S' shaped hill and has a splendid maze. According to myth the hill is thought to be a dragon's lair! So snakes fit the bill spot on!

]

I walked with a friend in a beautiful forrest park and Arboretum on Fri 23rd July Queenswood, Herefordshire.

Anyhow you are welcome to come to your own conclusions.

Big well done to all [:D

Then you, Nay, and James start it up, I am through with this childishness. If you want my forgiveness then stop acting foolish. I wouldn't have to forgive people if they didn't do anything wrong in the first place. Forgiveness does nothing if nobody learned any lessons, but I gueess as a healer you should know that shouldn't you?

Really, acting like children and Jarring up emotions and supressing what people want to say without trying to work through it is not the work of a healer... it's the work of someone who is afraid they are wrong.

I would appreciate an apology from Nay for personal attacks, I would appreciate an apology from all mods for saying that A cult was formed. Then I will forgive. Live and learn dude.

Dear Jason,

Thank you for taking time to respond. I think it is the 1st time someone has addressed me as a healer – thought appreciated.

I am not in a position to be able to apologise on behalf of all the mods. However if you feel that I have done something to personally offend you then I would of course be more than pleased to offer an apology, and wholeheartedly seek and offer forgiveness (in fact take it a read regardless)!

Many blessings,

Stephen [:)]

P.S. All may derive benifet in the adage 'To forgive is to be forgiven'. Please find also attached for your meditations the 12 peace prayers. An apt note regarding them about the author and peace Troubadour James Twyman was left on the http://www.emissaryoflight.com/ site - 'he still feels that the peace prayers offer a unique opportunity'.

I personally feel there is always an opportunity such as this for all of us, myself included (and apologies for the lengthy post): -

"They show us one of the ways we're the same, helping us look past all the ways we seem different and alone."

Hindu Prayer for Peace

Oh God, lead us from the unreal to the Real.
Oh God, lead us from darkness to light.
Oh God, lead us from death to immortality.
Shanti, Shanti, Shanti unto all.

O Lord God Almighty may there be peace in Celestial regions.
May there be peace on earth.
May the waters be appeasing.
May herbs be wholesome, and may trees and plants bring peace to all.
May all beneficent beings bring peace to us.
May thy Vedic Law propagate peace all through the world.

May all things be a source of peace to us.
And may thy peace itself bestow peace on all.
And may that peace come to me also.

Buddhist Prayer for Peace

May all beings everywhere plagued with sufferings of body and mind quickly be freed from their illnesses.
May those frightened cease to be afraid
and may those bound be free.
May the powerless find power,
and may people think of befriending one another.
May those who find themselves in trackless,
fearful wildernesses - the children, the aged, the unprotected - be guarded by beneficent celestials,
and may they quickly attain Buddhahood.

Zoroastrian Prayer for Peace

We pray to God to eradicate all the misery in the world:
that understanding triumph over ignorance,
that generosity triumph over indifference,
that trust triumph over contempt, and
that truth triumph over falsehood.

Jainist Prayer for Peace

Peace and Universal Love is the essence of the Gospel preached by all the Enlightened Ones.
The Lord has preached that equanimity is the Dharma.
Forgive do I, creatures all,
and let all creatures forgive me.
Unto all have I amity, and unto none enmity.
Know that violence is the root cause of all miseries in the world.
Violence in fact, is the knot of bondage.
"Do not injure any living being."
This is the eternal, perennial, and unalterable
way of spiritual life.

A weapon, howsoever powerful it may be,
can always be superseded by a superior one;
but no weapon can, however,
be superior to non-violence and love.

Jewish Prayer for Peace

Come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, that we may walk the paths of the most high.
And we shall beat our swords into ploughshares, and our spears into pruning hooks.
Nations shall not lift up sword against nation - neither shall they learn war any more.
And none shall be afraid, for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken.

Shinto Prayer for Peace

Although the people living across the ocean surrounding us, I believe, are all our brothers and sisters, why are there constant troubles in this world?
Why do winds and waves rise in the ocean surrounding us?
I only earnestly wish that the wind will soon puff away all the clouds which are hanging over the tops of the mountains.

Native African Prayer for Peace

Almighty God, the Great Thumb
we cannot evade to tie any knot:
The Roaring Thunder that splits mighty trees;
the all-seeing Lord up on high who sees
even the footprints of an antelope on a rock mass here on earth.
You are the one who does not hesitate to respond to our call.
You are the cornerstone of peace.

Native American Prayer for Peace

O Great spirit of our Ancestors, I raise my pipe to you;
To your messengers in the four winds, and
to Mother Earth who provides for your children.
Give us the wisdom to teach our children to love, to respect, and to be kind to each other, so that they may grow with peace in mind.

Let us learn to share all good things that you provide for us on this Earth.

Muslim Prayer for Peace

In the name of Allah the beneficent, the merciful. Praise be to the Lord of the Universe, who has created us and made us into tribes and nations that we may know each other, not that we may despise each other.
If the enemy incline towards peace, do thou also incline towards peace, and trust God, for the Lord is the one that heareth and knoweth all things.
And the servants of God, most Gracious are those who walk on the earth in Humility, and when we address them, we say "PEACE."

The Baha'i Prayer for Peace

Be generous in prosperity and thankful in adversity.
Be fair in thy judgment, and guarded in thy speech.
Be a lamp unto those who walk in darkness, and a home
to the stranger.
Be eyes to the blind, and a guiding light unto the feet of the erring.
Be a breath of life to the body of humankind, a dew upon the soil of the human heart,
and a fruit upon the tree of humility.

Sikh prayer for Peace

God adjudges us according to our deeds, not the clothes that we wear;
That truth is above everything, but higher still is truthful living.
Know that we attain God when we love, and only that victory endures in consequences of which no one is defeated.

Christian Prayer for Peace

Blessed are the Peacemakers
for they shall be known as the Children of God.
But I say to you that hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.
To those who strike you on the cheek offer the other also, and from those who take away your cloak, do not withhold your coat as well.
Give to everyone who begs from you, and of those who take away your goods, do not ask them again.
And as you wish that others would to do you,
do so to them.

Dear Blackstream, good ladies and gentlemen,

I moved it to a place of safekeeping! Therefore sincere apologies if it has caused you some inconvenience.

But it was abundantly clear that the 'Mind readers - my frustration towards you.' thread was been abused. Yet I am sure you all have good intentions at heart, but sometimes enough is enough!!!

Needless to say - with respect to all concerned: is it not time for the giving and receiving of a little bit of forgiveness here?

Please enjoy your visits and positive interaction on the forums.

Wishing you all well,

All right, here's me:

1. log cabin, one window, chimney smoking (or maybe it's raining, lol)
2. a big white building with a swaying blue flag
3. uhm, i see trees, or a forest like area, but there was something about it . . . I'll have to get back to this, my sister's calling . . .

edit:
. . . Now I'm getting some curved-like objects, sort of like a stretched out 'S', or a '~' turned at ninety-degrees. Hmm, maybe a zoo, or something at the zoo? Ah, a snake.
4. And an even stranger one is this. It's cereal, I just can't recall what it's called. Maybe somebody knows. It's got like a frog on the box or something. Hmm, small, oval-shaped, crispy little, tanish-brown ceral bits. I also see a box or a crate, and a bell. Well, the bell's actually in my house, but a bell still.

Odd, that the first two had to deal with places and the last two had to deal with animals. MAybe I'm just putting that together myself. Anyway, I can't wait until Thursday. Hmm, maybe I can try again before then.

Hi,

Gettng there in part (sort of)... but will not give anything away as yet!

Hi Sarah,

Good ones and you will see why below, although one might me intrepreted as such when you see the pic. Although a good psychic link all the same as: -

I spent some time with my sister and her kids over the weekend and on Sunday after a long walk we all shared ice lollies! They showed photos from their recent holiday in Orlando including pictures from the Kennedy space centre. On Saturday while driving by Thorpe Park I had pointed out the Helter Skelter to my nephew and earlier we had helped to build a swing bench seat for a friend.
