for me the prob wasnt recall but determining if it was a dream or projection. i have had 2 semi-concious projections, well it was either that or 2 dreams.

thanks for your ideas about looking at the blackness in your eyelids, i will be trying this tonight and hopefully I will have positive results as i have only got into trance once before and that took about an hour!!

i wonder if permanent residents of the astral plain have an equivilent of radio/tv or whatever where the get music and news etc. Think then could we pick it up in our minds? all you need to do is tune in, we might all be tuned in but not know about it!

 I sort of see what your saying, although I have never projected before either. Try looking at it from this point of, I like to think this is how i will be when I project:

  Once you know for certain that projection is real not just a belief but a knowledge, why would you need to prove it to a sceptic who will probably still find another explanation!! also, what is 10,000 or 1,000,000 dollars/pounds if you have access to the astral plane, knowledge/experience beyond your dreams!!

 anyway thats just my philosophy lets see if its the same when I get to project.

wow sounds like you'll be pretty good at it. i have been practising on and off for 3 months and I just dont get anywhere. Whats your technique?

yeah i tend to fall asleep mid attempt too! this morning I woke up 2-3 hours early and started to try and get into trance but before I knew what was happening I was asleep. Its incredibly frustrating

i think the general point is that most scientists tend to rubbish obe without even looking into it far enough and just try to pass it off as some neurological problem!

i recomend the e-book that is available free on this site at the moment about the afterlife. if you doubted the existence of an afterlife before you read this then you will come away knowing its real.

these are great debates. i think the most interesting one raised here is the is science progressive or destructive. I havent made up my thus far. consider the progressive aspect of science we're using it now! the world is at your fingertips, also medcine people who design computers, teach, or make great contributions to mankind may have died 200 hundred years ago from influenza!
 on the other hand science makes mankind greedy, lazy, selfish etc in so many ways.

wow i never really thought about it like that. i have been using the mantra
"i wish to dream of flying tonight" for the past few months with an acompanying visualisation and I have had a varied success rate about 1 every 2 weeks on average.

perhaps if I really say it and mean it i will get some interestin result. I will try it for a few days then post my results

could it have been related to the bali attack?

I'm certainly no doom munger but One thing I can tell you is that this whole planet x thing really has me spooked!!

1/ a month or two ago I had a end of the world dream and the sun was shooting out flares I think. also dreamed of buildings getting blown up and a death toll rising byt the second!

2/ All those not from the Uk say aye? ok then you probably wont know about the earthquakes in manchester a few over the last week. Not that unusual but it is in England. could this be due to the whole planet x phenomena.

3/Not to worry I did a divination and it said that it would be something that would have to happen but for the good of all!!!

i'm fascinated by all of this especially the planet x thing!! for those who dont live in the uk you may not know this little piece of infor but Manchester have had a series of minor earthquakes in the last week. Earthquakes arent out of the ordinary but they are in England!! perhaps this is related to planet x (or whatever it is!) getting closer.

I had a burning sensation one#ce but it wasnt just in my back it was all over my body I felt very hot and my head was really buzzing hard!

sounds creepy! I still havent obed yet, well i sort of did in a lucid dream but it was more semi concious but I didnt encounter anything luckily because I probably would've needed to change my astral pants!!

I think what needs to be kept in perspective here is that the majority of people who post here live in a capitalist society!

the home you live in is paid for by the money that you/your family or whatever charge for their labour or services. The computer you are using is more than likely paid for by these means and the heating in your house, food on the table ... well you get the picture.

I believe it is hard for anyone to comment on the negative state of a society while using the products of that society it just smells a little bit hypocritical (yes I see the irony that I am also using the same products to point this out to you!!)

anyway thats just my twenty quids worth I'm sure there are plenty of people that disagree with me and I wish to hear your opinions too

your right, science is under no obligation to prove anything.

 But  Why  do numerous scientists rubbish claims of astral projection and other "paranormal" areas before they even research them?

thats like me arguing that the earth is not round because i havent seen the physical evidence with my own eyes (i.e from space).

anyway i'm sure that a lot of people wanna comment on this subject so I will leave it at that.

I don't think that the method of astral projection is particularly important. The important thing is getting there then learning when your there. (although I'm no there yet!!!)

p.s can anyone describe phasing to me in a simple sentence it just seems the same as normal projection!!

i dont know if Jeff has a habbit of attacking 1st time users as I havent been here long but as far as I can see here he was just asking a question, and politely too!

not that i'm any kind of authority on the subject as I have never had a concious projection but I was practicing my relaxation techniques earlier and decided to imagine myself walking round my house and looking carefully at everything.  This is good because you've always got something to concentrate on and your changing your point of awareness. also although i didnt project i did get a feeling i never got before, i started to get the all too common symptoms of a light trance but it went a bit further than that.

hi, just Lysear again, it happened again last night! my mantra must be paying off! For the last month I have been telling myself before I go to bed that "I wish to dream of flying tonight" and then visualising a series of events ending up with me out of my body. although last night it wasnt as pronounced as the previous, its still great progress!
