May I suggest buying Betty Shines book , "mind Magic" for Rhian,(|Betty was accliamed the worlds number one healer before she passed over recently )there are some exercises in there that Rhia may find helpfull, including a self healing exercise to get rid of tumours. Its very easy to read, its like reading a book by your favourite aunt.

Majour Ka,

See you are a big Betty fan... she helped me out a number of years ago before she passed. A Top Lady if there ever was one. You many be familiar with a site dedicated to her work run by Mike Zitaglio (also a 1st class healer... Do read his own story - facinating and burried somewhere on his site) in the States. See: http://www.zitaglio.com/bettyshine/

Hi LadyHydralisk,

If no one has done so already - wishing you a warm welcome to the site. Don't be too daunted by Astral Dynamics. It's written in good plain English. If you have found Ms Fortune's psychic self defence a great resource, then consider having a peep at Robert Bruce's Practical Psychic self-defence.

Enjoy your visits here!

                                    Samsara

Hi,

That is a refreshing attitude to take [:)]

Yes you could say that od Reiki attunement - although I prefer the idea of attunement as more of coming into place or to tune in with on a many levels with a divine source of love. It is as simple as that! The idea is that it is always there and that you - by receiving attunement come more aligned with or remember that connection of love with all that is! So in a sense yes - the chakras might appear to be activated or to become more sensitive. Although they are in fact always activated at various levels of intensity depending on our daily circumstances etc. With attunement you on a conscious level become aware of the 'connection' with the loving source and open yourself to with healing love. Healing in a way means being aligned, as illness implies the very opposite! Not that we see ourselves as ill normally, but rather a yearning is felt (like a calling) to become more attuned and closer to oneness or the divine etc. Hope that makes sense and is not too 'mumble' etc! So initial attunement aims for us to begin self healing/alignment/oneness and in turn it creates a cascade which motivates us to offer the very same opportunity by sharing healing or connectedness with others and so on. Healing is a truly wonderful gift to aspire to want to work with. Glad you feel a wish to explore it further as it will offer you new vistas of opportunity perhaps previously undreamt off!

It is just that so many people are told 'mumble', and can get freaked out by ideas like the ones already quoted. Or more simply misled! It is just that unless you personally know the reader thinks like chakras and soul issues really should be explained in plain English. So rather than saying your chakras are closed. It would be better for the reader to say you have been feeling that you have say 'your energy is a bit low; or better 'you have been feeling a little under power' and then add aspects of the issues they feel are relevant to this feeling. Note a psychic should not diagnose illness. It can be covered discreetly by careful use of words etc.

Soul issues: big subject. Again a very blind statement: the reader should make every effort to substantiate that type of comment and I hope that in your case he/she did so?

Hope you do not mind my adding of these additional observations.

Hi Samsara,

To expand on the subject you if not already done do might find it well worth reading Robert Bruce's guide on auras. See: http://www.astralpulse.com/guides/auras/auras.htm

Developing this faculty will help you in turn to perceive spirit presence in a new light. Although the guide is not specifically directed for this aspect of clairvoyance it is well worth studying.

Incidentally spirit can be perceived as lights. But there are other phenomena which can confuse. For instance go out for say an early morning country walk or at the sea and one may often perceive or feel that they are seeing a multitude of fine tiny lights. Some schools of thought say this is prana, energy, orgone etc. Other say it may be awareness of ones own energy field and so on. The thing here is however much you read: practice will offer an opportunity to develop whatever skill you wish, and then you can make your own judgments! I personally find that I have had to continually revise my perspective as time moves on and I feel that experience gathers new insight!

Spirit can be seen in many ways. Either subjectively or in the case of physical mediumship in a more objective fashion! Certainly in the circle work I have done – I have had many opportunities to see spirit including the appearance of overshadowing. Although some schools of thought see this type of supperposition of faces as past life images. But then if one sees a face of say a loved one who passed on, then your thinking may shift etc. Similarly one may perceive spirit during meditations or a better term would be 'sitting for attunement with spirit' rather than sitting in a meditation for connection with higher self or divine aspects/god etc etc.

A big wonderful subject all the same and as you can image many view points exist.

Enjoy,

Stephen

Hi James,

You are very welcome to the board and sorry to learn of your mum's friend Rhian's ill health. I would be happy to add her name to my healing list and no doubt others will offer prayers of support as well.

Have a good look round the forum. I am sure you will find plenty of topics of discussion that tickle your interest.

Hi all,

I don't normally bother with this field of thinking overly much: -

However - and one wonders if anyone can substantiate this from their own experiences? Some ten odd years ago I was working in computer sales and enjoyed attending training courses with a variety of electronics manufacturers. Some of which were big players in their field. With two courses in particular – short movies were shown depicting apparent real life scenarios where enactments of how how Mr & Mrs Smith for example found such great benefit coming into their life's from the use of say e.g. a  small lazer printer.

The lights were dimmed on each occasion and I personally found the whole experience highly intimidating. As we seemed to be placed in the BOX as it were, and it seemed as if the coffee had been spiked in terms of how one felt as if they had drifted into an altered state while watching the sales show. I decided to cover my eyes as it seemed clear that the framing was suspect and that 'blip-verts' were posibly been feed at us (ho hum)!!!

In the weeks that followed after each course: I noticed that our sales team were almost raging about the products we were trained on! I personally feel that subliminal programming was attempted and wonder if any legislation exists anywhere to protect employees from this sort of manipulation and abuse?

Food for thought don't you think!

In light,

Stephen

Hi Trunky,

You are most welcome to the forum and hope you learn to enjoy your visits here.
Just a quick think on your question. What springs to my mind is that trance is a word used for being in an altered state – not an everyday state of mind while you go about your normal business, and meditation is perhaps in one way a process used to reach a trance state. Although it can also be thought of as various types of trance states in itself.

I'll allow you to come to your own conclusions on this – and there are plenty of threads where this is discussed on the forum.

Again enjoy your visits and hopefully you will find some new like minded friends here!

Kind wishes,

Hi Monsolith,

Can I echo the sentiment of James's reply and forgive my provincial English. Hope you can understand it OK?

Although I have placed a few posts on some of the processes mediums can use in developing their ability with spirit communication - it is really difficult to put into words to be honest.

If you are really interested the best way if at all possible is to attend a regular development circle. Do these things exist in France?

Changing the subject a little: What what part of France you are in? I am only really familiar with The Provence, and found some of the esoteric bookshops in Nice facinating. Correct me if I am wrong: it seems like a similar scene exists in Belgium and Spain?

I noticed that the new age/esoteric book shops were very orientated towards Kaballah & Rosicrustrian literature and classical dowsing. I enjoyed looking at the fantastic choice of tools available: like pure crystal balls for scrying, and divining rods in one store in Brussels for example. With one or two notable exceptions, European stores simply seem to put UK standards to shame in terms of quality of goods available. Although the breadth of literature available in bookshops in mainland Europe appears to overshadow the UK with respect to classical works, it seems to be starting to echo the barren choice in UK. Must be the influence of the pulp publishers of popular new age dross (muck)?

If this is of any use to anyone: one of the more respected UK mediums appears to be setting up a school of psychic studies in Holland. See: http://www.paul-jacobs.com/ and I also personally know a lady who runs a very good school in Switzerland see: http://www.zentrum-mandala.ch/ also worth looking at is: http://www.isc-seminars.ch/ again run by respectable tutors!

Cheers,

Hi Samsara,

Hope you did not pay good hard earned dosh to be told this sort of trite - I dearly hope that the rest of the content of the reading was of much higher standard! I personally would be very concerned if someone said 'my chakras were closed and also I had some soul issues', as this smacks of irresponsibility! Sorry if this sounds conceited on my part. No matter how gifted psychics & mediums may seem to be - some let the side down and perhaps in ignorance act irresponsibly. If you have any questions about what one should expect in terms of what may constitute a sensible psychic reading you are welcome to drop me a PM.

Good luck with the Attunement by the way.

Kind wishes,

Hi,

I think I've seen something on this subject before. Not sure if it was Robert Bruce who discussed it or not, but which ever way this seems to relate to energetic pathways restructuring following energy/body work and in line with classic say for example energy meridians mapped out in e.g. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) text books. I experience similar from time to time especially following yoga practice as an example, but never found it bothersome really. All the same I found it reassuring when explained as per above. Still if you are not sure of this it may be worth monitoring the outbreaks and if it continues consider professional advice: say your via a pharmacist initially. It would be interesting to see what other forum users have experienced as well?

Cheers,

Stephen

Hi MaDroX,

Just a quick thought and I will allow the experts to give you feedback on methods etc.

In my mind what you are talking about seems to be purely an attention issue. Can you for instance – concentrate on a favourite TV program or say a beloved song if it played on the radio, even say while driving? Bet you can!!! In simple terms we can all multi task and seem to hold one aspect of our focus on say a primary issue.

Hypnotists e.g. Paul McKenna (who is only using psychological reference anyway) explained something like: we are all shifting our attention to whatever catches our interest at any time, and that each of these items of focus might be considered like say an individual altered state.

So applying this to say to one's intention to have an OBE – although our focus is on the task at hand we can still carry out numerous other tasks. The most obvious been the ability of autonomous brain/body functions. So in my limited experience of self induced projection I noticed that – yes, while I was extremely body focused I was at the same time more focused on the object of say being X distance from the body. e.g. when attempting to use the rope, ladder or climbing stairs techniques/visualization.

Think I am trying to say don't worry about having a completely singular focus! The goal will override the apparent barrier in other words.

Not sure if this helps?

Stephen

P.S. Looks like we all replied at almost the same time [:)] LOL

Had to put this one in: -

Too Old to Rock 'n' Roll: Too Young to Die

The old Rocker wore his hair too long,
wore his trouser cuffs too tight.
Unfashionable to the end --- drank his ale too light.
Death's head belt buckle --- yesterday's dreams ---
the transport caf' prophet of doom.
Ringing no change in his double-sewn seams
in his post-war-babe gloom.

Now he's too old to Rock'n'Roll but he's too young to die.

He once owned a Harley Davidson and a Triumph Bonneville.
Counted his friends in burned-out spark plugs
and prays that he always will.
But he's the last of the blue blood greaser boys
all of his mates are doing time:
married with three kids up by the ring road
sold their souls straight down the line.
And some of them own little sports cars
and meet at the tennis club do's.
For drinks on a Sunday --- work on Monday.
They've thrown away their blue suede shoes.

Now they're too old to Rock'n'Roll and they're too young to die.

So the old Rocker gets out his bike
to make a ton before he takes his leave.
Up on the A1 by Scotch Corner
just like it used to be.
And as he flies --- tears in his eyes ---
his wind-whipped words echo the final take
and he hits the trunk road doing around 120
with no room left to brake.

And he was too old to Rock'n'Roll but he was too young to die.
No, you're never too old to Rock'n'Roll if you're too young to die.

When you say

"Next a very clear thought or what seems like a set of thoughts will enter your mind. You may again be tempted to interact, but stave that natural inclination off! The thought(s) may be repeated and you own mind may echo it or not! "

I realized that this happens to me everynight when i go to sleep. Before i fall asleep these thought enter my mind and if i concentrate on them i can clearly hear voices of several people talking. The conversation never makes any sense, and sometimes can be frightening.

What do you think about this? Does this have any relations with spirit communication or am i just entering some thought form area?

Thanks,

[:)]
Hi do,

Sincerely appreciate your reply and again sorry for moralising on your thread a bit!

One the whole and I think RB states – the type of scenario you are talking about is either mind chatter (you may be familiar with the example where RB (I think) was watching various aspects of himself etc.), and or astral or global human mind background noise (not sure of the most suitable terminology here)! It is not really worth worrying about and is different to clear spirit communication. I experienced it for years from early childhood to early teens, and I think many people do, but eventually blank it out!

Regarding the section you have quoted: the thought given by spirit will be crystal clear by comparison, but subtle at the same time and probably will feel internalised. However with early development for general mediumship their presence have oter chactoristics... e.g. some clair/voyance/sentience etc.

Cheers,
