Hi all,

I am sure no one here has ill intent towards other users etc. But to prevent this thread from drifting way off course I have deleted several posts...

Hi,

Welcome to the forum... a good place is to start to move toward thinking yourself outside of the proverbial box.

A good article this type of thinking is entitled 'The White Owl and Bees', and was written by Robert Bruce.

See: www.astraldynamics.com/welcome.asp?BoardID=56&BulletinID=387

Reading this might help you to see a little beyond 'constraints'!

Best,

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your experience. It is not far distant from many other people's ones, so keep up the good work. One thing however - don't put yourself down so much - you are as good as and have as equal potential as anyone else!

Best,

Hi LightWorker2012,

I am not making accusations at all. Everyone is welcome to discuss things that they feel that they have derived benefit from and post useful links. It is up to other users to then decide whether or not they feel inclined to make personal investments for books, and other products afterwards etc.

What threw me completely was on 1st view of some of the sites you posted links to was: that they appeared to be of an exceptionally low level of quality and poor value for money IMHO!

Could it not be said that there are similar products which as more widely recognised as superior to these ones, and certainly with respect to Sirians for instance - a lot of the more recognised material is actually in the public domain. Ditto Pleiadians and other non-human entity discussion etc.

Believe it or not I was actually concerned for you as it seemed in my mind that you may have spent money on valueless products, as a lot of people (and hopefully not your good self in this case) are 'vulnerable' to exploitation by individuals and groups purporting to offer genuine New Age material, products and services - when in fact they are selling a right load of old dross etc.

Does that clear matters up for you?

Kind wishes,

Stephen  :)

Hi LightWorker2012,

Welcome to the forums... I am sure I may be misinterpreting you here, but all bar one of your posts has referred to a service or advert.

Did you really spend all that hard earned cash!!!

Hi,

I believe it is the joint nearest the nail. But to be honest it would not matter as the scratching is simply to enable you to get the idea of mobile body awareness in the 1st place.

Whether you scratch the finger tip, or in a circle around a joint, in zig-zigs, up and down is really up to you.

At joints I use in addition to the ideas like, sponging, tearing bread etc.. a rotating fan or propeller. This seems to work very well for me anyhow!

Moving forward from this: during the Dec workshop Robert Bruce presented the idea that a fishing net could be employed to help clear energy blockages through any part or all of the body!

So don't feel constrained or afraid not to use your imagination with NEW guys! You should consider yourselves pioneers with this sort of stuff ... it is still early days in the greater scheme of things!

Hi Syro,

I had sporadic OB experience yrs before reading the treatise or Astral Dynamics, and found in recent years amongst reading/studying other works that Robert Bruce's writing helped to clear up a lot of misunderstandings/conceptions I had had. This also enabled me to start to gain control of these types of experience!

In light of your question - yes it would be interesting to see what the hit rate actually is as you ask above!

You might consider looking at Robert's new book Mastering Astral Projection. Although I don't (as yet) have a copy I had a chance to look through it during the recent workshop... and it is easy to see that it has been lovingly prepared by Brian, Robert and team. It is a fair sized book and considering the addition of the CD content and S/W great value for money.

See: www.astraldynamics.com/library/?BoardID=30

See: also the New World's Newsletter review of MAP on pdf

If you are more interested in the Theory then look to Astral Dytnamics... Note: according to Robert a revised edition is due out soon!

Welcome to Metaphysics! / Question??
January 14, 2005, 00:56:24
Hi Juliet,

Shame no one has offered any answers for you! I'm not very familiar with RV terminology myself either, so perhaps try one of the RV sites. But then one person's Jam is another's Jelly!

QuoteAlso, can someone tell me how to tell when I'm sending the information and how to tell when I'm receiving the information?

I assume this is no difference in extended awareness exercises btw RV practice and say spiritualist psychic awareness work – other than one appearing to be mind bogglingly formal and the other chilled out and informal, although no less serious in terms of result.

Getting back to your question: If you are attuning mind to mind then it is a matter of personal discipline in choosing how you filter external and internal thoughts, and if you are working with a partner either distantly or face to face then obviously make effort to set some ground rules in advance of your practice in order that you know where each of you are coming from etc.  In practice one could send and receive at the same time, but for practicality's sake it helps to split one's awareness into send or receive mode to facilitate or help manage the information more effectively at 1st!

If you are looking for basic RV technique then try Tim Rifat's book Remote Viewing – What it is, Who uses it and How to do it. Or one of the big gums books – authors such as McGonagle, David Morehouse and Targ etc.

Hi,

Probably one of the best sources in the UK for essential oils etc are Amphora Aromatics try: http://amphora-aromatics.com/

I believe they take international and bulk/trade orders as well.

Hi,

I use essential oils quite regularly... although more for skin treatment, bathing, deep relaxation and meditation.

I can't say that any have made a difference to OBE success or not, but here are some brief observations off the top of my head.

Normally I use a water base for the diffuser rather than a direct heat aromatherapy lamp and around ½ doz drops for single oil and 3-4 drops of each for mixtures (dependent on the strength of the oil).

Lavender – in small quantities – I find that over use or too high a concentration leads to fuzzy thinking and sleep! Just a few drops – perhaps mixed with more stimulating oil e.g. lemon, orange, Neroli etc.

I would not tend to use oils like Eucalyptus or tea tree for this sort of practice.

I have used both oil and gum/resin variants of Frankincense and myrrh to good effect, but more for deeper soul connection meditation/attunement rather than OBE

I have tried Spikenard oil a couple of times during a shared meditation. Be warned this is a very powerful essence and equally expensive. Use it for special occasions... good for very deep heart/soul work.

As goes with the name I find Clary Sage – good for clairvoyance and spirit communication... and it has helped with OBE. However I would tend to advise moderate use.

Same goes with Geranium... this can be a bit strong, so please be judicious with the amount you use.

I find Sandalwood is clearing and balancing.

Pine seems good for clearing space – but if you don't like pine disinfectant then don't bother!

Rosemary – again good for clearing space

Patchouli – no effect for meditation for me anyhow

May Chang and Yang Yang - more for chill out or intimate times

Lemongrass – clearing and uplifting, but very strong so use in small quantities.

Clove - not for OBE or meditation work

Japanese oil of peppermint - Clearing, but very strong so use carefully.

Best,

Stephen

Welcome to Members Introductions! / GREETINGS

Hi Blueben,

Welcome to the forum. The symptoms you experienced are very common and usually due to energy center activity and not a racing heart etc. A good test is to actually measure your heart beat - you will see that  it is most likely at a resting rate between 60-90 beats per min... but may actually be little lower.

Similarly the throat center can make one feel a shortness of breath or mild to moderate gagging sensations. These will dissipate as your practice becomes more regular. For myself sometimes this type of discomfort comes back if I have been working on the higher centers, but on the whole they don't bother me too much. Some people find a need to swallow... if you do then do.. why gag!

e.g. Although this is for a different objective - I have seen trance mediumship tutors advice their students to avoid clearing the throat for spoken trance development. I feel this is wrong -  as why should one suffer discomfort! In the end run the energy center or chakra will develop at its own pace regardless - so why make things hard for oneself!

You are doing well - take your time and your practice will become all the more easier!

Best,

Stephen

kalratri,

Enough is enough!

It seems you have a primary objective in mind here and it has nothing to do with subject title of the thread!

These forums are not designed for the express purpose for you to spout your personal opinion against Christianity, Islam, the Jews, Semites and any other group you feel you do not like at any particular time.

On that basis this thread is locked.

Hi CptPicard,

Sorry to hear you feel down in the dumps. Even the best of us have our highs and low myself included.

To be called to offer ones self to heal is a truly wonderful thing. Yet at times the healer needs some healing.  For myself I make a point of getting away from it all at times. Be it to attend a spiritual retreat or simply say a meet up with old friends for a few day to chew the fat and muse over old times etc.

Be kind to yourself - as the great work you have done, and will have yet to do: has and will stand you in great stead.

Meditation is a tricky old bean, sometimes it seems to being instant benefit, and at others it releases old sores and wounds we did not realise we had. If that seems resonant with your practice then have a look at examples of how to clear out negative gunk: for instance Robert's healing with the heart technique (to be found on the main site). Also invest some time in practicing self protection methods as it is easy to pick up on and become over sensitive to people and the environment around (especially in these tempestuous days).

We sometimes find that while doing one type of practice we hit a brick wall. Consider not only a time out perhaps, but also taking a new of different approach to your work. Perhaps you need move a little sideways and acknowledge and invest in your own soul connection for example. A lot of healers seem to tend to neglect them selves as they often feel obliged to continuously be the giver, provider and comforter. Don't be afraid to be a taker, to ask for self healing as there is nothing selfish in such an act. Recharge your batteries and you will stand strong, and be able to become resilient to the storm around you.

Best to you,

Stephen  :)
