It basically has to do with the fact that they are set in their ways and don't want to change or can't change their reality at this point in their lives. They are too deep in this physical existence to look outside of it.

Sometimes it has to do with something that they saw or experienced that peaked their "fear meter". But then again, sometimes it has to do on their own current situation period.

It doesn't mean they are bad people or are doing wrong. It simply means they aren't ready at this time in their existence. No harm, no foul. But it does have a lasting effect on them.

I tell new members and people I meet at the Renaissance Faires I am a Merchant at that they should not open Pandora's Box until they are ready to handle what comes out of it.

I just think they are missing out on a life changing OP. Yet, I am not ready, But at the same time I am. I believe sometimes we needs to attempt to do stuff even though we might not be truly ready. Pushing one out of there comfort zone.

I was recently having an Conversation about this to a member called Lion. Now, Lion mentioned that people astral project and never do it again. I feel this has got to with what they experienced, Lion noted it changes who you are and your perspective on things. Now, What I don't get is why people don't Take that chance and from it. Now, if you are scared to experience yourself..... Look at it this way. Someone was said to me "Fear is a choice, No matter how bad the situation is, You are choosing to be scared". Now, I am not saying that your experience what scary, But what ever happened out in that experience you did not like other-wise you not say you would never astral project again. As Lion stated in another post. You may think you are ready but deep inside you are not. I feel mainly people focus more on the negatives than the positives. Now, Think of it this way. You could astral project and seek spiritual growth, You could gain a lot of knowledge. You could find a lot more things which could change how you think and how the human/eearth works. I don't see why people would waste a OP. Lions has really made me think hard about this. For me, My Goal is astral projection is to Help those that are lost, Seek knowledge, Discover brand new things, Grow spiritually. Loads more.

You have the OP. Take the chance while you can.

I like that. Word to live by!  :-)

When I first began Aping, I was told to "OBSERVE". I had sooooooooooooooo many questions, like a lot of you do here, but was just told to OBSERVE. Now I understand why!

There are always going to be questions, But sometimes the questions we must answer our-selves.

Fear got to you. We have all been there. The tests or signposts as they are called can be pretty bizarre. But once you learn to trust them for what they are, things will improve for you.

Baby steps are needed when learning to confront fears in the NPR (Non Physical Realms/Reality).

We say we are ready. We want to be ready. But sometimes the fact is, we are not prepared to make the next step.

This gets better the more you experience it though. So have 'faith" in that!  :-)

Hello, Now that you mention it. When the vibrations did raise I did get a little scared. I just feel like I will never be able to astral project, I don't know why, Just a feeling. I will keep trying every-night! thanks for the reply/

most authors i run into about this have the same idea. robert bruce who can see spirits... one of my best friends rich... i know many authors have talked about this. how do you see it?

you hear a lot... "we are all one" "we come from the same source" i definitely get that. source made copies of itself... etc. but am i all of you? are you me? am i creating this whole thing and i am everybody as well as you are everybody and everything? i came across this theory and its mind boggling. yet i still dont totally get it because i see a rapist or a murderer and go whelp i guess thats me... and that part kinda gets to me. or do we all come from the same source but all have different spirits and identities? THAT would make more sense to me. i know we all come from the same thing. consciousness. but if all of you are a copy of me... and i could literally see from millions of perspectives... you know what i mean?

whats your thought on this? how do you see this?

Someone once said to me, If you have to "ask". You're not ready to "know". Time will tell, Your understanding of it will develop, But in time.

So last week i tried to astral project. It was about 1 or 2 in the morning.I fell asleep and woke up about 10 minutes later in sleep paralysis."Yes!!!!! finally" i said to my self , i was really excited. So i tried to induce vibrations. The vibrations kicked in instantly. I then tried to let the vibration's settle down. They just got even more intense.I then heard a voice it was a whisper, in a different language and it was a female voice . That freaked me out a little but i kept my cool and just stayed focused. Then i heard another voice, it was a male voice saying "This isnt gunna be a BLOW JOB".I was like WTF.  :? :? :?  :-o :-o So for some reason i freaked out and just tried my hardest to snap out of sleep paralysis.I snapped out of sleep paralysis and woke up but i fell right back into slep paralysis. This happened 3 times it felt like a tug of war.Any opinions on this?

Lol, I could not imagine a spirit saying that.

Maybe you was hearing things.

Last night, I got the feeling I did not want to do, But as usual, My body was really tired, So I decided to give it a go. I was lieing there from 15-30 minutes try to do this. Nothing happened so I though I would just give in. I decided I wanted to go to sleep, So as I try to sleep, I get this feeling that If I did it one more time I could get some progress. So, I was really relaxed.  Closed my eyes, Let my body sink deeper into a deep relaxation state. Now, I felt this sensation in base of my spine, I put my awareness on this sensation, I lost my focus and it was gradually faided away, I got to the point that I needed to just let it happen, So I just was laying there. Now, I felt the sensation, it felt stronger, It turned into a vibration. Next minute this vibration climbed it's way up my back and around my head, and half way up to me leg. It got intense. So, I decided to open my eyes.

Last night at around 3 AM I kept repeating "I remain aware as I fall asleep". I got this from William Buhlman's book, and I'm shocked at how powerful these words are. I wasn't prepared. My whole body started tingling, and my ears felt like they became blocked, similar to when you're on a plane. Next I heard this whooshing wind sound, then it changed to a crackling sound. I remembered to try and surrender to it, and for 20 seconds I laid there feeling all this tingling, but nothing happened. I was still awake in the physical. This happened about 5 times in 45 minutes, and there was still no success. It wasn't a false awakening. I did reality checks. What should I do when I enter sleep paralysis? Do I try to imagine a scene, feel myself climbing up a rope, or observe images? Do I just do nothing?

When you get to the sleep paralysis and vibrational stage, that is the time you can not prepare your exit. The rope method seems easy bro.

I have experienced this before, in the form of rocking back and forth in my body in a rolling motion to the point where I have gotten dizzy and also feeling my hands float up but also being aware of the fact that they have not moved and are numb, but I could feel them laying on my lap and touching each other.. I was aware of both at the same time.

I just chalk it up to your astral body and/or conciousness starting to expand and become less locked into your physical body. Its a really weird and amazing sensation.. Keep it up and go with it, it sounds like you are on the right track. :)

Thanks for the reply. Now that you mention it. I did get the impression of it might have been linking to astral projection. I just want to do it! I am eager to be successfull.

Magick can sometimes be summed up with "crap happens".

Honestly, anything could be going on with your scenario.

I think he is referring to street magic.

I am not sure If I am making progress?

So, Firstly, I set a time when I was going to do it and what my intent of was to do. I found it easy to make my body numb, I can make it go numb within a couple of seconds due to the fact that I have experience with meditation. So, I would like to say I did not astral project but I did get a few feelings. Firstly, I felt little bits of energy on my legs and testicals, Vibrating, Only a tiny bit. Next thing that happened when my body sank deeper is that, It like my head was becoming tight? I don't know how to explain it. Like it was being squashed to the tightest it could be then I started to aches in my third eye and aches all around my face, I don't know what it is, So, I just opened my eyes and went to s;ee[ as usual. This was my first try at doing this, so what do ya'll think?

First, welcome to the forums.  :)
Always nice to meet new people!

Now, allow me to provide my perspective...
Essentially, you were doing a form of what I call the "noticing exercise".
http://www.unlimitedboundaries.ca/2010/09/06/what-is-phasing-and-noticing/
http://www.unlimitedboundaries.ca/2011/02/01/phasing-with-noticing-a-more-detailed-explanation/

The "rocking" you felt was your awareness beginning to lose track of the physical.  Essentially, you pushed away the physical so much that you began to drop into a point consciousness state, until you pushed it away so much that you began to sense "other" stuff.

If you had continued doing what you were doing, you would have projected.  :)

The funny thing is, I did not even intend to do it. Ever since, I started meditating my head has always been swaying. Now, I am more focusing on the intending to do it. I will check them links out, Thanks a lot.

Forget about your body being asleep, Being in a deep relaxation state will do, Then you can start do some visualisation to move forward, Doing some visualisation will take your mind off how your body feels and will make you not "aware" of it.

I'm no expert but it sounds to me like what you were seeing was "stray energy" as some call it. When you go into a state of altered consciousness these things are normal indicators of you beginning to tune into the astral realm. You might hear noises, feel a presence of someone next to you, see flashes of images, or in your case see shadows moving across your vision. This is a normal effect of getting into deep meditation. Must have been crazy to play the video back and see that your head never moved though!

Ah thanks. I've always wanted to astral project, Not for fun. But to help souls that are trouble in the lower realms.

Before we start, I shall say that I video'd myself meditating.

Hello, A couple of months ago, I attempted some meditation. I started meditating, got relaxed ect. While 3-5 mins through the meditation, I felt my head sway back and fourth, Back and fourth, then it started to sway side to side, I was aware of it. I ignored it and you know when you close your eyes and see full blackness, I looking further into the blackness, It felt like the room was getting bigger and bigger. Until, I become a aware someone was standing infront of me, Moving back and fourth, whatever it was it was right near my face. So, about 7 minutes into the meditation I decided to stop.

I played the the video back to see what exactly happened. I was completely normal, My head was not swaying on the video and there was no person in front of me. What do you think?
