Isn't this ear ringing thing actually something that everyone experiences?  :-o

I think you find yourself where you attention and expectation is, that is both a conscious and subconscious process.

http://www.unlimitedboundaries.ca/2012/07/12/the-key-to-most-astral-projection-techniquesmethods/

Exit techniques usually revolve around giving you a sense of movement.  That's part of the key to having a classic separation OBE.
Apart from that, ALL techniques work because they put your sensory input somewhere other than your physical body.  That's the key.  Learn to do that, and you can project almost whenever you want.

Which means that focusing on these techniques is actually useful if not essential in classic obe but only if you can engage them without bringing physical awareness along, got it! I think I'll try to focus more passively in the phase for a while as I'm not sure I can quite focus on motion without actually physically tensing up a bit and bringing sort of an analytical process with that. With that in mind lets see how awareness techniques like SILD work for me. I'm pretty excited about this particular one.

Alright NM, thanks for your input. If I understood correctly you said that the fact that I try to finish my induction with some technique more 'physically' oriented says a little bit about my subconscious beliefs? It could well be. You know, having studied these things for quite a while you tend to expect certain things to be behind you but sometimes at a core level they're really not and throughly thinking about it, the idea that I'm gonna leave my physical body with a subtle energy body through some difficult mechanisms may still hold me back more than I realize. I sometimes can go into deep meditation quite well but only 2 or 3 times in the past I managed to exit directly and not by direct techniques btw, in fact if I think about it hard enough not by any technique at all, mostly quiet intent. Food for thought.  :-)

Ok so it means a shift is certainly happening as a result of our process but we might actually be at different levels of phasing? That's really nice, I get the impression some people seem to believe that when the vibrations are strong you're certainly at the brink of separation so in mixing a little bit of different schools of thought when that happens I tend to sort of stop my phasing process and try to finish with a techique like the rope, rolling, floating whatever.

That being the case I'll stick fully to the phasing approach even through the vibes and see where that takes me.  :-)

My question is, what do you guys think the vibrations represent as a signpost to your moment of 'separation' or phasing? I ask this because quite a few times I've managed to get the vibrations, in fact they're relatively easy to induce for me, I can get it right now as write by doing some full body circuit energy work but I never manage to exit regardless. So should/can it be an immediate sign of 'separation' or is it just another milestone? What kinds of vibrations do we talk about also, full body vibrations, partial vibrations, strong electric ones, some mild waving or really all of the above? I do know that all this varies but I'd still like to gain your perspective. Thanks.

While in dream awareness I have mostly found uninteresting, unconscious entities. The 2 or 3 that were actually conscious spoke perhaps a little too much in codes and metaphors. I'm glad people find ways to have fun with dream characters, I'll keep trying them. Who knows.  :-)

Who exactly are you looking for?  Perhaps we can assist?

Well I guess it's not really something specific. I tend to like to investigate the info on experiences, methods and breakthroughs of people that I somehow relate to and that normally are more experiencied than I am. I figure that sometimes the quickest way to do that is to find the discussions the person started.

Right now for example by what I've seen recently and my experience on this board about 4 ou 5 years ago you Xanth, and Lionheart along with Stookie and some others are people that I find interesting in that sense and would like to find a way to explore your data easily, not just in relation to perhaps the daily questions that you answer but also your direct input. But even if there's no direct search mechanism there are alternatives, I'll do just fine. Thanks for your assistance.  :-)

Will do, thanks.

I guess the title says it all. I am looking to know if there's anyway to see the topics a specific member has started as I only seem to be able to find member's posts. I've tried to figure it out or find a topic explaining but didn't found a way, is it impossible or am I missing something? Thanks!

Thank you AstralZombie.

Yes even with the few experiences I had I'm still pretty much almost a complete begginer when it comes to consciously inducing the experience as opposed to sort of arranging for it to happen, I found it very helpful and intuitively true. Let's where that takes me, no rush.

Hello guys, how are you doing? My name is Micael and I'm a 20 year old guy from Portugal who's pretty much been very invested in anything 'spiritual' and the nature of reality since the early teens. Almost everything went through the radar but I must say AP, lucid dreams and meditation stuck the most through all these years and were practices that at the very at least I always pursued ocasionally. I've become experiencied with lucid dreams, fairly adept at meditation and managed to have 2 or 3 short obe's that I could recognize along my progress. I know that there seems to be a perspective around that dictates that they're really the same thing, mostly I agree. Where I put my disctinction is that perhaps in AP/OBE you might be in a more often shared environment as opposed to your mental construct and subconscious mass and the added level of awareness OBE carries. To me that's the only fundamental change, but I am by no means a master so just giving you my thoughts.  :-)

Recently I've become unemployed and so I have a lot of time in my hands and a renewed interest and determination in pursuing AP daily as best as I can. It's been quite a few years and I'm not even that old, I'd like to estabilish these altered states in my life experience. I just read personalreality first experience post and I think his approach and input was very valuable so I plan to follow his directions and see how it goes since normally I am slightly more active in my attemps. I hope I can give and get some help from all you guys, happy to be here. Cheers!
