Alterdive,

In situations like yours, and for us all, really, there is almost no-one better than Byron Katie and "The Work".

It is great you have identified the thoughts/tendencies behind the difficulty you're having. It takes more than making the identification, though, doesn't it? Maybe put them ( and yourself ) now through the Work. Byron explains the simple-but-not-easy process in this less than 9 minute clip. Her work has always fascinated me. She brings the complexity of self enquiry to everyday people and situations. It is truly brilliant. There are hundreds of videos on YouTube where you can sit and watch her work with people so that you can get the hang of how this is done.

The Work is a practice. Make THIS your practice until you are ready to move forward.

The mind we take into what we do is of primary importance to what we do.
(whatever that may be)

Remember- the Work is a meditative not mental process.

I work with crystals. It is a consciousness practice, I combine my consciousness with that of crystals in a way that allows the crystal(s) to act as an extension of my consciousness. - through them I am able to visibly show others who is connecting with me from the withinness of my own mind. It is the OBE, the reworking of my mind-energy-body system that took place through the OBE that allowed all this to begin to happen. I now work with the crystals AS communication devices ( data transferring devices ) -not wholly unlike your idea of approaching our beds as a spirit teleporter. Brilliant, by the way.

So.....all this just to say I now have my own way of showing others that crystals actually do have consciousness.

I have brought roughly 500 discrete beings through the crystal so far to-date.

This adorable little fellow just came through the other day.

Look at those eyes!!

A little closer and I would have had him more real to life. I just could not catch the angle. ( next time ).

The realm of crystals is truly extraordinary. No going back!

Interestingly, it is not the OBEs ( experiences in landing locations ) themselves that have taught me the most. They have taught me, but where I have gained the most is in the shifts into and out of them. I have highly conscious shifts. So the phenomena directly inside the shifts, which themselves were many levels deep were what garnered much of my intrigue. In the shifts, one of the things that happens is that a much larger sphere of total activity condenses into a single point. When this happens I see and otherwise experience myself inside a multitude of discrete environments all at once. Environments that both precede and exceed the onset of the OBE itself. The phenomenal thing is that I could hold all this data in this fashion. I would come to call it "synchronous states". Which helped me cognize the "etheric drills" I was being put through. Which helped me to see the "transfer value effects of the OBE on physical reality." This is always going to take us into the Grand-daddy of all experience, isn't it? The Oneness of all things.

Tak, you are just wonderful. Just wonderful.

Contact, including 'abduction' is a genuine experience. Yes it occurs in expanded states of consciousness.

I cannot comment on what is drawn through the use of drugs.

Well you've got me on the "what do I do."

If you are new to the practice I would just lay myself down in a comfortable position, close my eyes and go in. Keep your attention into the blackness in front of your closed eyes and pay attention to the fact that you are breathing. --for as long as you can. Notice. When you get back ( ie: when your session ends ) LOG EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. After you do this for long enough you will have material enough of your own to begin seeing patterns and perhaps associations with what some others are describing. The really important thing is to practice regularly enough and to make the logs. I am not sure this will help, but there it is.

Hello, btw, welcome to the board. ( dive in deep  :-) )

I've got it queued up for later. It sounds exciting!, I'm really looking forward to listening in. I love Art Bell, thanks for posting this, Jen.

Quote from: orian on November 06, 2023, 08:27:01Have any of you had a NDE? And if so, how did it compare to your regular OBEs, if you've also had those.

To my knowledge I have never had to almost die in order to have an OBE.

This said, I often do enter a state of kumbhaka ( breath cessation ) when I go out of body. Fascinating phenomenon. Anyone else?

Has you ever experienced this when going out?

QuoteWhat an incredible gift humanity has received, dream, dream, dream! ♥

I could not agree more!

Do you log your dreams daily, Tak? I took on this discipline a few years ago, 4 or 5 years ago and never looked back. It does take discipline but boy is it ever rewarding. If there is not a group log here on the Pulse I invite you to join us in ours: Group Daily Dream Log. We are on page 194 at present. It is strictly a log and we use it for study purposes.

I appreciate you sharing the experience in your previous post ( it is a major hit confirmation-wise! ), and find it interesting the subject of shared experiences is coming up here as well. It is hard to get over this being such a wonderful example of what is possible. And as Tides has said, it does remind me of a dream ( split consciousness, half in half out of body ) I had 2 nights ago where an entity came to wake me up into the etheric. My response to this intrigues me even still.

Rather than squirrel off here in Tak's journal, we should maybe start a thread somewhere on the board to discuss specifically the topic of shared experiences, to see what our collective understanding is on this. I would certainly look forward to what everyone has to say. We might bring new ideas in to each other. I really do appreciate the range of everyone's experience here. Such a comfortable feeling tribe.

Hiya, Eddie

Full on Void experiences are more rare than the visual variety - but unforgettable, eh?

Meditation practice is what I feel is the key here.

Close your eyes, look into the blackness in front of your closed eyes, stay alert and do not let yourself knock off. Keep your attention in the black at the level of the brow. Work your optical muscles, look as though you are looking at something from one end of the street ( as an example ) down to the other end. Then look as though you are looking at something up close. Feel the muscles work both ways. This is a good general exercise. Now most cannot stay focused on specifically seeing the black, visuals will likely begin to appear and catch the attention - but you CAN stay focused and go directly into the black/void.

Tratak, focused gazing, such as candle gazing I also have found extremely helpful.

As well as eyes closed breathing practices.

Spiritual DISCIPLINES.

Do you have practices? What are they?

Quote from: tides2dust on December 22, 2023, 17:41:52That is an AWESOME dream.
And, kind of funny because one of the members here has had recent dreams with giants.

Soooo many giants. It is THE main theme for me this month.

In addition to what Nameless has said,

Meditation is a stilling of the mind. It is simple to begin, but depth of the state will come with steady and regular practice. Sit and/or lay down in a comfortable position, close the eyes, put your attention into the space between your brow and be aware of the fact that you are breathing. Attention at the brow, following the inhale/exhale. Beginning with 30 minutes is a good start. You are asking good questions, stay with it.

Quote from: ZenKadima on December 13, 2023, 11:19:18Is that so? It's a relief... I don't know if that's part of the projection but it's very scary. I may be safe, but the things I see, the sound, and the unbearable shaking I feel at that moment are terrifying. Simply feeling like I might "die" from letting myself go or that that feeling of fear really means something to my health, I walk away from that experience that could lead to more.
What can I do to overcome that fear?

And how can I increase my efficiency when "meditating" or "cultivating"?
If I'm lucky after 3 minutes I feel too many things, but most of the time when I spend more than 1 minute my mind wanders, no matter how much effort I put in, I start to wander and every 30 seconds or 1 minute I have to start all over again. Or I get really sleepy and fall into it.it frustrates me a little

Once again, thank you for your senior guidance.

Reading this I am motivated to say there is such a thing as going too fast. Practice at a pace that is pleasant. Not everyone is meant to hit OBE/AP ( or even meditation for that matter ) on a dime. I practiced meditation, yoga breathing, asana and much more for decades leading into the OBE. The preliminary practices are crucial for actual success in their culmination. If you are going to cultivate something start with the basics; cultivate goodness, cultivate a steady and strong point of focus. This will supply an apt foundation with which to venture further. Learning breathing techniques and working with the breath, lengthening the inhale and exhale will help you take command when it comes to fear. Tratak, gazing practices will help you develop a steady point of focus which you can then take into your meditations *which will be deeper as a direct result. So. To summarize, begin with the basics ( or there will be no solid ground ) and always proceed at a pace that is pleasant.

I just took the test to see what is current >>

INFJ
Introvert(47%)  iNtuitive(28%)  Feeling(28%)  Judging(1%)

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (47%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (28%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (28%)
You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)

QuoteI really wonder how many are INFJs here, too? Would love to know if anyone did the test too. I would assume a few more INFJs round here.

Mhmm. Ted Vollers from the MBT board asked me to do one years ago.

He, too, tested as INFJ ( growing toward INFP ).

No children. I seemed to know at a very young age ( 6 ) I would not be doing that.

Never married, either. - yet another warrior-monk lifetime.

It is a template I tend to choose often.

We can have the tendency to think of the control system as something evil, but I don't think it is. I think it is a safeguard put it place fundamentally to keep 3D what it is -- 3D. This is not to say there are no negatively oriented individuals in the mix of who all comprises it. But I would still say the mix ( roughly 95% positive to 5% negative ) is also to our advantage. The contrast is always there to help us see who we ourselves are and provide the torque that allows us to grow. I sometimes wonder what would happen if even only 10-15% focused our attention in this way.

Quote from: LightBeam on November 21, 2023, 20:22:01Thanks for posting, EV! 9-10 for me happen from time to time. I enter NP through SP more often than through LD.
4-8 occur most often within my dreams.

Here is one interesting thing that happens so rarely for me. I don't know if others experience it. Basically complete loss of perception of time from the moment I close my eyes until I open them upon awakening. The other night I was trying again CE5 contact app inviting ETs to come to my location. Nothing happened, I did not see any flying objects. But that night when I went to bed I closed my eyes to fall asleep and then I remember the next second I am opening my eyes already awake and it is morning time. I did not have the perception that I slept at all or that any time had passed at all. I did not remember any dreams, just in a split second falling asleep and awakening, like the physical time for these 7 hours has been swallowed and I only experienced the point of sleep and the point of awakening without any physical time in between. Very strange feeling. I don't believe I have ever experienced this before.

I dream every night, meaning I remember my dreams every night so the instance of such a thing happening stands out like a sore thumb. As it indeed did, when I experienced it twice in a row, immediately before my very first conscious shift out of body. Which, as fate would have it, was an ET contact / abduction. I would say you are on to something with your CE5. I'd even venture to say you did have contact the night you experienced no passing of time. Bringing that data ( ie: experience ) back is not easy, it will not happen until your central nervous system deems you/your body ready to consciously hold it. My body went into shock and stayed that way for 1-2 years. My whole body would shake when I tried to talk about it. This can be seen in my early videos. I often had to sit on my hands. I, myself, was more in awe over the whole thing, but it is not easy for a 3D body to carry. So many adjustments have to be made. <--Understatement of the century. I had no idea until maybe 10 years after it began. This is how long it took to gain perspective ( depth perception ). What a subject! I can only congratulate you for arriving and being so open as to share your journey. Thank you!
