Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Astral Learning

In regards to learning the mentality of fighting, AP most definately will assist in the mental side of things. It calms your mind down a lot. Your awareness to attacks/possible counters increases. As does your understanding of martial arts as well. Not as a weapon but a way of expressing yourself. Anyone can be cocky.

IMO, AP actually openS a whole new "wiser" side of yourself. Since my first projection, I have never been the same. I will never look at the world the way I used to. Very enlightening experience, whether it is no.1 or not.

So instead of blindly following the government I should blindly follow you?

Your mind is infinite. Make your own path and you will never be walking blindly, or without reason.

Marijuana like alchohol is a depressent. It slows down your responses to external stimuli and you brain will process information faster. Within the first half hour of smoking is the most intoxicated state of marijuana. THC (the constituent of marijuana that effects you) will effect your perception of reality. Seeing it through our own eyes is often unclear enough without the use of recreational drugs.

Marijuana makes people sit down and "chill out". Some people can still walk around normally but generally speaking it drains energy, which is why you'll find it harder to project after smoking. You may feel energy bodies more because marijuana allows people into a frame of mind outside the norm. I would say "thinking deeply" is just a misconception of a different state of mind. While under the influence it is a lot easier for your subconscious mind to believe that the energy body is in fact real. While you are "thinking outside the box".

Marijuana is not a spiritual herb and it should not be advertised as one.

How to stop an OBE? I have never really investigated how to stop them from occuring to be honest. If you don't want to happen and it keeps occuring I would advise you to accept that you may be a natural projector.

What happens that scares you?

I'll vouch for this method of exit. I don't use it anymore but when I first began projecting it was a great initially.

Newbies take note of it.

I've had experiences similar to this before. Sometimes it's almost as if you reach a stage where the body "misses" the projected double and sought of wills it back. After rigorous energy work I still find that the length of OBE's is somewhat limited.

Would you consider any of your experiences an experience of Astral wind?

That's a very interesting point actually. I remember when I had my first astral experience it happened spontaneously. I didn't even there was a name for what had happened. (I had projected above my bed in the real-time zone). I remember trying to convince myself that it was a dream. A part of me new it was real.

"First you must erase your doubt." Very important in AP. As scary as they initially are.

Marijuana increases heart rate as does the caffine present in the red bull. While it's possible to link your experience into something related to an OBE, I would be more inclined to believe that it was not. Marijuana drains the energy body, it also will seriously inhibit your ability to enter a trance state where vibrations are felt.

Don't be afraid of OBE's. It is inherent in human nature to be afraid of the unfamiliar. The fact that tar is building on your lungs should be a lot more scary.

okoklo, what makes you think you're close to having on OBE?

We can try to explain what it feels like, but you'll never actually understand until you experience it yourself. As being in your physical body and dream states are two different feelings, so is an OBE.

I've used this program before. It is actually very interesting the way you progress to the next stage. Real OBE's to me are more satsifying though but some people may find this a preferred alternative.

If it is proposed that a crime is being committed against all of us, then why are we arguing amoungst ourselves? I think most of us will agree that we don't entirely believe the official story, nor are we willing to riot as extremists for the "inside job". I wouldn't say I subscribe to either viewpoint, they both have flaws.

Debates about 9/11 are boring me. What ever happened to the good old fashioned Roswell and the fake moon landing? :? Bastard terrorists/government.

I have a great respect for opposing oppinions. Without them, mine have no meaning. The evidence in that video is a very sound argument, it makes the pentagon imapct seem more plausible. What actually happened to the pentagon on 9/11 is still ambiguous. It would be so much easier if the government released the footage from the 3 surveilence cameras they conviscated (to assist in investigation) to the internet.

Pentagon aside. What do you suppose happened to the plane that was headed for the white house and crashed into the forest? Many planes have smashed into mountains, forests, the ground etc before and left a significant amount of debree.

9/11 as I said remains ambiguous. What is clear though Enoch pretty much emphasized.

I remember reading a theory once that was about skizophrenia. It was to do with the the crown chakra opening to information from the astral realm. Basically without all the other chakras in balance the individual coulndnt handle it.

Just putting it out there

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Astral Learning

I think we are having communication problems.

I think that abilities can be learnt in the astral realm and remember. Astral movement and vision are abilities. I can say they exist.
I am purely discussing martial arts. My reason being I am a martial artist and learn kung-fu (wing chun), boxing and kempo.

As Lucid_Leaner "I wouldn't want to be remembered as a repeat of the first. I would want to be the first, with a new style." If you learn karate you are a repeat of the first.

Martial arts means honest expression of self through combat. Art being "honest expression". As Bruce Lee said "One cannot express himself fully when one is imposed by a partial set structure of syle. Setting combat into a choiced mould will always create resistance of one's set pattern of what should be as opposed to the ever changing what is." As he goes on "When did the style become more important than the mind that invented it?" and more "The founder of a style might be exposed to some partial truth, but as time passed by, especially after the passing of its founder, this partial truth became a law , or worse still a rejudiced faith against the "different" sects. In order to pass along this knowledge from generation to generation, the various responses had to be organised and classified, and presented in logical orders. So what might have started off as some sor of personal fluidity of its founder is now solidified knowledge, a preserved cure all for mass conditioning. In so doing, the followers have made this knowledge not only a holy shrine, but a tomb in which the founders wisdom is buried. More and more the style becomes more important than its practioner."

IMO, Bruce Lee was the closest person to expressing the TRUTH of martial arts. One which he demonstrated we should all discover ourselves. Seeings how he also regularly meditated, it could be postulated that he was also a projector. I'll try to steer away from this though. Lee went through rigorous training of body and mind to become the legend he died as. I don't believe there are thousands that are better than him. He himself said "I am not ignorant enough to believe there can ever be a number one." It is evident in the way he thought that he was not restricted by any boundries in combat. Old men that can kill you in a few taps have trained in the physical world. Monks train flat out and they are more spiritual than any of us. As for fame I agree. Fame is an illusion created by those who are not known. Bruce Lee was famous for a very important purpose I believe. There is a lot more to him than martial arts.

To put it bluntly, all I am arguing is that martial arts and languages cannot be learnt in the astral realm. In response to the original post.

Sounds like the first thing you need to adress is  to why you are interested in AP. If you are interested in the study of consciousness it is definately a great vehicle to find answers. Generally speaking, if you find REASON for doing things you will more motivated to do it. So try sitting down and thinking what you really want out of AP then find the necessary steps to get there. "The greatest journey starts with a single step"

Cheers for those songs i'll download them now.

Why is it that people think that someone who lived thousands of years ago knew more about what is ahead of us than we do? They used to think the sun went around the earth. We know that is wrong. Why should we believe a Mayan calendar has any significance? It was put together using a faulty model of the solar system. We have already been through this when our own calendar hit a significant event. Other than a few minor computer bugs, nothing happened.

The only historical mention of Atlantis was by Plato and he said it was 9000 years before him. He was just a man, people get stories and facts confused all the time. There are no other historical records than mention it and it has never been found nor has it's existence been proved. How can anyone say it ended on any particular cycle when we don't know when, where or if it was destroyed?

As I mentioned earlier the Mayans developed our calendar to within 8 seconds. That is the most precise any civilisation has come. As also mentioned they only used it for tax purposes.  The Mayan calendar never said anything about the world being flat or the millenium bug. These are facts. They actually used more than one calendar.

"It was put together using a faulty model of the solar system." <--- Are you serious? Science actually applauds the level of precision the Mayans were able to attain. They were calculating the movements of our GALAXY not just our solar system.

What baffles archaelogists the most like Ian says in the lectures is "what the hell small little indian men making pots in the bush were doing with numbers as large as 16.4 billion."

IMO, the most accurate calendar designed from a whole civilisation that were "experts" in the area, is the most credible. Regardless of time. As for whether the world is going to "end" or experience significant change I definately understand your skepticism. I am the same. The theories of the world ending were created by us, not the Mayans. The just created the timeline. We'll see what happens over the next few years. Time answers all questions.

I have nothing on Atlantis, never read into it.

Lucid_Learner, in regards to whether it stimulates the third eye I'm guessing you're asking this due to the colour of the after image?

It's possible that it does, Brian is an able psychic. However, it was not designed to increase psychic abilities

It will be interesting to see what results people have.

Me to.

You will not go blind if thats what your asking. It shouldn't hurt your eyes. If it does try extending the distance of the image away from your face, may help a little. Sometimes your eyes can just be sore as well after a long day, becomes more of an issue in the third week. If this is the case you can chose whether to continue or simply go to sleep.

May I state that you are an incredibly fast reader. I finished that post and was away from my comp for no more than 20 seconds before you replied.

I have come across a technique that has assisted people in stilling their thoughts. It assists in concentration issues and awareness during trance states. This is most beneficial to newby projectors. It worked for me so here it is.

To start off simply, it involves drawing a circle on a piece of paper with a bright, yellow highlighter and straing at it. Interested? There is science behind this. Different colours omitt different frequencies of light. The bright yellow acts as an overstimulant on the eye and will leave an indigo/violet after image (When your eyes are closed). Put in laymans terms and to make it simple, this indigo violet slows down the brains frequency which consequently assists the previously mentioned abilities. The yellow dot should be drawn as shown in the picture below, exact measurements are not necessary. The brightness of the yellow highlighter are essential however, the indigo is it's equal opposite.

What happens:
When you stare at the centre of the yellow dot, after a while you will begin to see an indigo haze appearing around the border of the dot. Do not focus on this haze only on the centre of the dot. After about 30secs close your eyes and you should be staring at an indigo after-image that will quickly fade away/shrink.

I will explain the method but for starters: If you are new to projection and are not serious about putting in yards to project - don't bother. This takes about 4 weeks of conditioning for you to produce the indigo violet at will without the dot.

Method:
Through all weeks, the yellow dot needs to be viewed at three times: After breakfast, around mid-day and between about 3-5pm Through filtered sunlight. Everyday during the week. Don't worry about blinking.

1st week - Stare at the centre of the yellow dot for 30secs at the specified times above. After close your eyes and stare at the indigo violet. For some people it will appear and then disappear then reappear again. Count how long the after-image is retained and if you want record it. Some people can't be bothered.

2nd week - Increase the exposed viewing in the previous week to 1 min.

3rd week - Before you go to bed at night, redraw the dot on another piece of paper. This will end up using 14 peices of paper and maybe more than one highlighter. Redrawing the dot is part of cognitive conditioning. Stare at the dot for three minutes. ONLY BEFORE BED One minute during the day is still fine.

4th week - Repeat week 3.

After 4 weeks you should be able to bring the indigo violet image at will. You will possibly be able to do this before the 4 weeks is through. Keep to the program though. It is 4 weeks for reasons of conditioning.

Things to note:
The dot should be in the middle of the page
There should be nothing else on the page except the dot. This includes shadow(s). Avoids distraction.
The dot should be held around 30 - 45cm away from your face (please don't go to the trouble of measuring it)
Hold the paper as a portrait.

I DID NOT DEVELOP THIS TECHNIQUE. It was developed by Brian Costello, International Ambassador of Psychology. He is a projector as well. I know this because I know him. He lives 10 mins from my house. It was originally developed as a means of stress reduction.

Please don't hesitate for me to clear anything up that doesn't make sense. It would be nice if people began this program and reported back after a few weeks/during their progress. Whether it assisted you or not. I can't stress the benefits of this enough for newby projectors. Why even bother trying? Weigh up the possible benefits and decide whether it's worth investing the time to find out if it works or not. This is a method that assisted me in projection. The skeptics might have a field day here. It takes a weak mind to condemn something capable of demonstration.

Enjoy.

Welcome to Out of Body Experiences! / Re: Fighting ?

Astral warriors? I would be very interested to see the size of an army that the subconscious mind could create in the astral realm!

For your comfort, you real-time projected double is a very power being. It's energy source is renewed by the physical body while it is asleep. It takes only a little courage if you come across anything to scare it away. Fear is an issue that needs to be overcome as soon as possible in AP. Any being greater/more conscious than you will be more of a guide than a threat. You are in good hands.

When you project how far do you actually travel from your body? Sometimes not being able to fly can be an issue with the "silver cord". I've known some indivduals to have an issue with how far they can travel from their body closer to the ground. The problem was that the silver cord wouldn't allow them to travel further. I'll look into this for you.

Some people appear to be more natural in flying than others. I struggled at first. I had trouble convincing my subconscious mind that it was possible. Keep trying as the others said, it's often just one of those things you need to work on.

Hope this helps.

I've never had experience with it, so my oppinion may be void. Do you think that the most powerful psychic used it? With no evidence what do you think? There's your answer.

I think the only difference between religion and science is evidence. Essentially they are both searching for the same thing, the truth. I'll try to steer away from oppinions on religion just to avoid Hi-jacking the thread.

On space and time. Einstein showed us the truth about time. E=mc2. Perhaps I should say expanded our understanding of it. That it is not definite. From the impression I get on space from quantum physics is that in essence everything is one. This oneness many call God.

I have nothing on reincarnation sorry  :?
