I had a rather weird dream earlier, can't remember the details 100% but I do remember the parts that stood out for me. I almost never remember my dreams so usually it's as if nothing happened at all during sleep, this time however the dream was extremely clear and realistic.

It started out with me and 2 other guys, one of whom I felt I currently knew at the time and another who I felt was a person I had known a long time ago and was meeting for the first time for years. I'll call them "friend 1" for the one I currently knew and "friend 2" the one I was meeting for the first time for years.

We were at friend 2's basement which had been arranged as a bedroom and friend 2 hands me an envelope that I sense is from the bank, I open it and in there is a deck of cards along with the usual account overview but I pay no attention to the overview. The cards are the same kind as I remember we had around when I was younger, a picture of a Santa with what looks like a pipe (those long wooden pipes native Americans use)

I examine the deck of cards for a few brief moments but then notice there are some kind of ants or small spiders running all over me coming from the envelope and spinning webs around me, then I try to shake them off me and suddenly they are gone and I seem to be standing in what appears to be hell or a similar place with two demons standing to either side of me, they both look like the same type of demon but still have different yet somewhat similar facial feature so I'm guessing they were brothers? or something like that.

The demons both look at me then at each other and I find myself back in the basement with friend 1 and friend 2 and one of the demons is also there, he points in a direction and the wall fades away and dissapears revealing a mountain far in the distance that he is pointing towards then the demon disappears. I ask friend 1 and friend 2 if they know where we are and which direction that was but then the dream fades out and I wake up before they could answer me.

Weird thing is that I was completely calm for the entire duration of the dream even though I would be completely freaked out from having small bugs crawling all over me like that or meeting a demon (I'd probably be more freaked by the bugs though I hate those things)

Anyway, I'm wondering if any of you can see some meaning to this dream, what was that demon trying to point me to, and does the bugs coming from the bank envelope mean I should beware of the bank, and what significance does the deck of cards have?

I know any or all of these things may be completely random and have no meaning but I sense otherwise.

yes i know i already have notice that but i still fall asleep completely like i said --' in a normal sleep that makes me go argh that was a worthless sleep when i wake up

ok then i've been doing it right ... but yet i'm not sure i should be trying this i mean i do skip numbers a bit but for me this seems to be the same as counting sheep.. a forced sleep trigger for both mind and body and i know it's not really doing anything helpful towards increasing my astral ability because it gives me a normal sleep where i sleep for many hours and can't bother to get up when i wake up cause wherever i'm laying is too comfy

but when i produce results i will only sleep for maybe 2 hours at most if i do fall asleep by accident and when i wake up i'll be able to stand up without being so comfy i wanna lay forever but perhaps i should try to use my usual method and then when i'm pretty well on with that then try the counting :/

sounds easy enough thank you Quo i'll try that tonight then.. so just counting my breaths like IN-1 OUT-2 or is it IN-OUT-1 okay that looks weird .. umm what i'm trying to say is wether you count both inhale and exhale as one number or do you count inhale as one number and exhale as the next?

these last 2 nights i haven't been able to reproduce the state i wonder what i'm missing out that i managed the first time :/... i do find it fairly easy to get those sounds with the astral hearing but i can't keep focus on them so well, any tips?

btw Quo Animo did you manage to find that thing to reach it in 15 minutes?

and thanks MT that reading was quite useful i think, i just hope i'll be able to do it again tonight.. i've been wondering though if it would be possible to just make a keyword when i've reached it in order to get there in like 5-10 minutes just using the keyword and then waiting until it comes :/

i've been lurking around here a bit, looking at topics and reading a bunch of useful info on astral projection and OBEing and trying a few techniques i've found here but i've only registered now as i've finally had some real stuff happening... or at least think so but i needed to ask about it to be sure so here goes...

i have been preparing for this by sleeping a lot (about 18 hours) to get rid of me falling asleep as this has happened a lot while practicing and at 1am i went and sat down in one of the more comfortable chairs in the living room and relaxed, that time i didn't get anything as there were still too many cars zooming past outside (there's a road with a pretty high speedlimit just outside my window) so it was disturbing me too much and i went to do some other stuff for a while although after that i had a bit of weird sensations for half a minute or so afterward (this might just be my imagination screwing with me though) when i looked at the time it was 35 minutes passed since i started

then later around 3 am i went again since the cars had pretty much stopped driving past the window and this time used our 3space couch wich was enough to lay straight without having to bend my legs, that time i managed to get pretty far and then at some point i lost track of things.. either i fell asleep or just lost my awareness of being awake for a while. then when awareness returned to me i didn't open my eyes like i normally would when i wake up and i don't think i would have been able to anyway as my whole body felt sorta numb like when you sit with your legs in some position and the one leg starts feeling numb and when you try to stand up you trip cause the leg is kinda "offline" or paralyzed, that feeling or something similar is what i felt in my whole body and i was wondering is this sleep paralysis or does that feel differently? i don't remember having felt like this in my whole body before at least not while going to sleep or waking up and if this is sleep paralysis then that is a sign off good progress right?
