Hey Ronaldo,

Dream dictionaries can be helpful sometimes but in my experience it's better to try and figure out what various dream symbols/situations mean to you personally, and what they represent on a larger scale. I think Linda's suggestion is right on. Also, your feelings in the dreams are just as important as what is actually, in literal terms, happening--- specifically, that you seemed to feel good about your baby and had loving and protective feelings towards it. I think that is contrary to the dictionary's interpretation of it being representative of sorrow and sadness. If, on the other hand, you in the dream had percieved the baby as some malignant and alien thing growing inside of your body, and were repulsed by it, that would be a whole 'nother story.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / The 11:11 effect
June 27, 2003, 22:41:59
I looked it up, and here's a site with a whole bunch of people talking about noticing the "11:11 effect" too: http://www.greatdreams.com/11coin.htm ... interesting stuff. I don't know about any cult though, I didn't see anything on them. But I guess anyone could take it and make it a sign as part of their "club" since once people start thinking about it, their attention naturally goes to it.

(And Beav31is- as I was reading the aforementioned page, I couldn't help but look at the clock, which read 12:34... I didn't have seconds on the clock but who knows it just mighta been 56 seconds into the minute; it did turn a few seconds later :))

Welcome to Astral Chat! / The 11:11 effect

I too have been noticing these times for the past 2 weeks or so, at least 10 times. this past weekend I even noticed it when I was totally drunk at 3:33 am. (Waking up during the night to see it on the clock though timeless, that's pretty spooky!) Yesterday I noticed my speedometer turn 99,999 (more obvious but I never notice the speedometer!). I've been noticing them ever since reading on some web site (can't remember where now) that it was a "sign" -of what I can't remember... something like being a lightworker, or nearing a new stage of spiritual development or something (it was really new-agey). Does anyone know what I'm referring to? I doubt it has validity but you never know... I bet some people will start to experience it from reading this post. It's strange how subconsciously we could be aware of and trigger a response to such things...

Wow, Parmenion, I didn't realize (occasional) drinking could really affect that much, other than the next-day hangover. If I was convinced one night of drinking could have those kinds of effects up to a few months later, I'd quit for good. I think I'll give it a try and see...

Like GTP, I find I have increased (spontaneous) OBEs and lucid dreams the afternoon after heavy drinking. For the past two weeks I've been trying to become lucid again, and no luck until this past Sat. afternoon, napping after a long night out on the town... but I can't help but think the experience would have been even more vivid, and lasted longer if my body hadn't been so stressed.

Hey Tao,

I bought my copy of AD from Barnes and Noble for $16.95; maybe it's gone up since then? Either that or it's more from the web site since you get an autographed copy?

Oh check amazon.com-- I just looked and there's several used copies in good condition for around $10.

Hi Peaceful... a few of my favorites are The Ballad of John and Yoko, Don't Let Me Down, Let It Be, Oh Darling, As My Guitar Gently Weeps, Across the Universe, Here Comes the Sun, and Hey Jude.

Lysear- yes, Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon played (but not backwards!) with The Wizard of Oz does create some amazing syncronicities. To get the timing right, you start the album right when you hear the third roar of the MGM lion at the beginning of the movie, turn the volume of the movie down, and sit back and enjoy the ride.

I've heard some rumors about Meddle going along with 2001: A Space Odessey but never tried it myself and not sure if it works.

"I strongly adhere to the opinion that VERY Very very few people dream about floating around in their bedroom or house. It is incredibly unlikely that anyone would dream about this"

Since we do dream a lot about whatever we're thinking about in normal waking life, it seems logical and likely that if we're spending time reading about or trying to have OBEs, that we'd dream about them too... I've had several OBEs within dreams that I've always considered as just that-- dreams, but then again the line between dreams and astral experience is a fine (or at least indistinct) one as far as I can tell.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Jesus Christ
June 05, 2003, 17:50:45
Once while sunbathing at the beach I had a dream (AP?) about Jesus... he walked up to me (on the beach) with a gentle smile on his face. I was filled with a warm tingling sensation and a welling up of love in my heart (the remnants of which stayed with me for a few minutes after I woke up). He taught me a mantra that had to do with Love. We repeated it together several times to be sure that I would remember it later but I forgot it. I'm not actually a Christian now, but did have a Christian upbringing so it's possible that if this were an AP, it could have been a guide that I interepreted as Jesus-- the closest image I had of a being of love/light.
