I am looking at getting some weighted tuning forks for various physical ailments (lower back pains, etc.) and for any other positive benefits.  Does anyone have any recommendations on what to start with?  A couple of OM ones?  A set of chakra forks?  I don't really want to put out too much until I have some experience and see if I like them or not, so I'd like to start with a basic set.  Any experience or suggestions on where to start?

Thanks!

Thank you, Tayesin.  Yes...we will probably just record our own and give it a whirl but it sounded like you had a very detailed script worked out already so I thought I'd check with you first.

Thanks again and good luck with the book!

Hello Tayesin,

I don't know whether the eBook is supposed to be available for free at the moment or not, but I was able to download it last night and have made it through about 40% of it, and am enjoying it thoroughly.

You had mentioned previously in the thread you may make an audio guide available.  Did you ever happen to do that?  Both my wife and I would like to try the guided meditation to meet our higher selves that you have been using for several years.

Thank you for the detailed autobiography!

hermetic...your experience sounds very much like a few I've had.  I read in a marriage book a few years ago about "full body orgasms" resulting from sending/receiving energy with your partner and when I first experienced your symptoms...I figured it was the full body thing.  But after I got on here and posted about it a week or so ago, CFTraveler said it was a heart chakra projection and suggested using the rope method to try to get out of body.  So maybe give that a try?  Or maybe it's a different energy that we're raising and is taking us in the wrong direction...maybe kundalini energy or something?  Hopefully others will have some suggestions...

CFT: " I'm curious as to what you consider feeling 'godlike connection?'  I would think that loving gratitude would be it, if I had that feeling."

Well...in the sticky about kundalini in the Energy Body Development section, I read this: "Kundalini does change one and one does experience enlightenment during its
peak. But this is abstract enlightenment, eg, one knows everything at the time because one is experiencing a level of God consciousness."

So from that perspective...I didn't experience a feeling of knowing everything.  Don't get me wrong, the feeling was great and very joyful.  My wife was in bed next to me asleep, but I felt as though her (or anyone within 10 feet of me) should be able to feel the explosive energy coming out!  I wish she was awake to see if she could sense it, too.  Maybe it could be used as a healing energy?  (Before finding this site, I was experimenting with trying to help her with acid reflux that keeps her awake by drawing in energy and sending it down to my hand on her stomach while doing some visualizations.  I did it nightly for about 1/2 hour at bedtime for a week and it seems to have worked as she's been able to have restful sleep for the last two months with only 1 or 2 nights with issues.  Perhaps it was all her, or a combo of us both...not sure.  I'm going through the healing posts on this forum currently to see what I can find out.)

Can I just say how much I love this forum and all the helpful information in here?!!!  Thanks again, CFTraveler.

Thanks CFT...I'll give the rope method a try next time that happens.

Speaking of heart chakra...before I started reading up on AP and OBE's I found I could draw in energy pretty easily at times (before I had an idea of what I was really doing).  While experimenting, I would frequently concentrate it in the heart area, and move my awareness to that location as well.  At times, it would then spontaneously build up tremendously then "explode" and I would feel and almost astrally see a big expansion that almost felt like some sort of full body orgasm or something.  Later on while reading on hermetics, I read that I should NOT build up energy in the heart that way...any thoughts?  It also kind of felt like the description of when kundalini rises up and out of the crown chakra...but I mainly felt love and gratitude and not really any god-like connection (sorry to take this off-topic so quickly).

Are there any other ways to use energy in the heart chakra to my advantage for OBE/AP's, other than using the rope trick?

Thanks so much!

I have only (possibly) had an OBE once, and it was in the morning a few weeks ago.  Since then no luck.  So I'm trying to stay as "ho-hum" about it as I can in the morning when I feel the light vibrations and just think...if it happens great...if not no biggie.  Anyhow...when the vibes are light, I am trying to keep my mind as clear as possible, not focus my eyes on anything behind my eyelids (or look for 3d-blackness or anything), and usually I can do a log roll or something in my mind pretty easily (but not pop out yet).  However, when the vibes start to build up, and I'm trying to stay as ho-hum as I can, my energy body or whatever seems to "lock up" and I can't mentally roll over or use any other exit techniques.  Then the vibes disappate and I'm back to the light vibes or no vibes.  Today I also noticed that it felt like my heart beat had picked up.  Could these be different vibes?  The vibes are not earth-shattering, but they seem to build up to a quick pressure in my head and I hear a pretty high-pitched noise briefly.  I do some light energy meditations and am somewhat familiar with those and realize they are probably separate things.

Also...do most people feel like they are about to fall back asleep when they OBE in the morning?  The one time I did this...I was definitely on the verge of drifting off when I just quickly and unexpectedly did an upward backflip out of my body and up near the ceiling and was able to see and think clearly.

Thanks for any insight anyone can give!

Thanks for the reply, Grey!

Well...this week I had my first ever Lucid Dream, and it was quite a bit different than my experience above, so I guess I can rule out and LD for my previous question.

I've been trying for a lucid dream for over 20 years, so I'm very excited to have finally experienced one!  It took about 15 oddities and my mentioning to someone else or myself that "that's weird" about something in the dream, along with 2 different dream scenarios before I FINALLY had awareness.  And I'll be damned if it wasn't 30 seconds later that my phone rang and woke me up, lol!!!

I've been working on OOBE/AP for several months but have not had a *definite* OOB yet.  I can get vibrations easily, can deeply relax easily, etc.  However I just came across this site last week and have found I'm probably generally doing "phasing" to a small extent (didn't know what that was called previously).  I can get to the "3d-Blackness" state on occasion but didn't understand what to do once there.

Anyhow...yesterday after waking up, I went back to bed and tried to "phase" using the Monroe gateway cd as Frank describes.  I didn't get very far, so decided to turn on my side and take a nap.

I quickly had light vibrations, but didn't really try any exit technique this time.  I've tried the rope, log rolling, sitting up, and floating up but none worked previously.  However, I found myself spontaneously "flipping" up and out of my body, feet-over-head.  Wasn't expecting it at all...and especially not by flipping up!

I immediate realized I was OOB, was looking down, and floating sideways towards a wall and I remember thinking "I wonder if I'll float through the wall?"  However, next thing I knew I was lying on the floor of my bedroom.  Then my wife and a son walked in and I asked what was wrong and she told me he was sick and had to come home from school (this was not happening in real time however...he was still at school and she was downstairs).  She went to the bathroom and I thought I was woken up from my first OOB ever.  Then, I flipped up and out again, but landed back on the floor.  My wife came over and we interacted for about a minute, then she went back into the bathroom.  I then realized I was laying on my side...and started to wonder if this was even really happening or not, so I decided to try opening my eyes.  I was able to do so, and found myself back on my bed on my side and awake for real this time.

If this was just a dream, it was certainly the most vivid and real dream I have EVER had (although I've never achieved a lucid dream).  The feeling of coming out of body was pretty much exactly how I expected it to feel.  However, the situations with my wife/son obviously were not happening in real time.  Oh...after telling my son about it, I realized I never moved myself at all (I have read others that bumble around the first time out, or bonk their heads on celing, etc.  I never even thought to attempt to move or walk around.)

So...I'm wondering if I just had a vivid dream, had a lucid dream (although I didn't cause ANYTHING to happen on my own), or maybe I projected into my subconscious (Frank's Focus 2 I think?).  Or maybe it was a true OBE but in a different time?

In any case, I now feel like I know what the OBE feeling from the vibrations feel like, but was like to hear what some experienced travelers think occurred.

Thanks for your help!
