Here is the readme file for the abyss sound track. =)

Quote
Purpose: assists the listener in achieving the trance state.

What is it:

I've spent quite a bit of time studying the theory of binaural signals, and performing signal analysis of many commercial solutions (TMI products, HolosyncÆ, Awakened Minds, etc). I also analyzed those BWGEN presets that have many positive user comments, in attempt to extract common traits of what constitues a good binaural profile. This track is the result of all that research and several sleepless nights of hacking in Adobe Audition and BWGEN (creating background took 90% of the time). The background closely resembles that of Hemi-Sync, but there are few subtle differences, which make my version sound a bit less dry, and somewhat blizzard-like sounding. The relative amplitudes are such that the binaural signal is just on the hearing threshold.

What's inside:

For this track I decided to keep things general, which widens range of applications, which include, but not limited to: falling asleep, meditation, OBE, or any kind of trance-related work. In the future, I might make something specifically targeted for OBE.

How to listen:

You MUST use headphones, or speakers on the sides facing your ears, if you really have to. Using high-end equipment does not increase the effectiveness of the signals, so your average crappy cans will do the job. Comfortability is a plus. Set the volume to comfortable level - more on the quiet side. If you are in a noisy environment, use volume high enough to cover the outside noise. If you can easily distinguish the carrier, or if you feel that there is too much rumble in the lower end of the spectrum for your taste, you can use equalizer on your equipment to suppress lower frequencies, but don't kill it. The optimal volume is such that if you concentrate REALLY hard, you can barely distinguish wobbling (may appear erratic) in the lower end. If the wobble is very apparent and stable, you should decrease the bass.

How it works:

The binaural profile of this track closely resembles that of HolosyncÆ. In fact, there are only two major differences: 1 - it is free; 2 - you don't get a ton of follow-up motivational letters.

The first Holosync track, The_Dive, lowers the frequency from the Alpha into the deep Delta state (2.5 Hz) using single carrier masked by the sound of rain and crystal bowls (which annoyed the hell out of me). The second track, Immersion, keeps the carrier in Delta, and the crystal bowls are now gone. This track does the same thing, except that it is combined into 1 60-minute session. CRI accertains that lowering carrier frequency increases the effectiveness of the signal. In their zillion-level gazzilion dollar program they lower the carrier frequency for each level. But the trick is - you need to pay hundreds of dollars for each subsequent level. I do not subscribe to the idea that lowering the carrier increases the effectiveness. However, I do think that low-frequency binaural signals are better suited to ride on low carriers, while higher-frequency signals - on higher carriers, which is a common theme with TMI - they use carrirers much lower, as well as much higher than CRI, depending on what we are trying to accomplish, so the CRI and AwakenedMind's statements that they use "lower  carriers than anybody else" are not quite true. The carrier signal in the Abyss track is scheduled (from 160 to 80 Hz) to correspond current binaural frequency. The Level1 Hosolync uses constant 140Hz carrier, while Level2 rides on 112Hz. If they keep going in this fasion (factor of 0.8), this track is somewhere around Holosync Level4.

The file is 192kbps Lame-encoded mp3, which should keep the balance between the file size and the quality. If you are a purist, contact me and I'll send you 320kbps .OGG version or something ;).

If you use it, or compare it against other products, please post your experiences here.

And remember: the binaural stimulation will not make things happen for you - the signal merely guides your brain to appropriate frequencies, but it is your job to follow them. To quote The Bob, "these excercises... do not create change in you. Only you can change you" (that was pulled from the memory, but I'm pretty sure thats what he said).

Big thanks to Adrian for his cooperation.

P.S. Do not listen to this track (or try to enter trance state, or meditate) while driving.

QuoteWhat ever she has done , she was "allowed" to do, since for the duration of the trip we were not technically a couple.
This sounds a lot like a rationalization. If your in a relationship for 3 years, I think it's reasonable to expect that you don't cheat on each other. Why would you assume that your girlfriend is free to see other people just because she's away from you, whether it's 1 mile or 5,000 miles away? If she really deeply loves you to begin with, she wouldn't have felt the emotional need to cheat on you, nor would she be torn about dumping this other guy.

QuoteShe is everything but malicious. She would not purposely do any of this to hurt me. She would differently not string me along. She really is confused about this...
I don't think most people have affairs to be mean. I think they have affairs because their emotional needs aren't being met.

QuoteWe have already agreed to "try" when she comes home. The fact that she was seeing this other guy, and that it made her realize that she really does love me, is what means the most to me. All it will take to seal the deal is for her to physically return home.

I think your right.  But be prepared to deal with the consequences of her actions when she returns. Even if you totally forgive her, she will feel guilty for cheating on you. In time if she gets over her escapade in Ireland, she still has the subconscious "core image" of betraying and hurting someone she truly loves.

This has been kind of a downer post and I didn't mean it to be. Here is some advice I believe in, but will probably sound pretty hollow right now:

You truly can't love someone else, until you truly love yourself. I hope all the best for you and your girlfriend.

I find that many people become very bitter and even resentful at religion when they feel that they have been betrayed by it or by someone representing that religion. I think most people in religions are sincerely seeking the truth and want to do the right thing. When ever you have a human organization you will have corruption because people are corrupt. It doesn't mean that religion is wrong, it means people do wrong things.

I decided to join the Catholic Church in the 5th grade; not because of any profound experience or inspiring logical argument but because of actual miracles that could not be explained by science. Such as saints that have been dead for hundreds of years and they are as fresh today as when they were alive. You can prick them and they bleed. Hosts (bread) used in Mass that change into human flesh and have no cut marks on them (one was tested to be human heart tissue).

At Fatima Portugal in the early 1900's the Virgin Mary was reported to appear to three children. Over 20,000 people were gathered and thoroughly soaked from pouring rain. Then the sun appeared to be crashing towards them and their clothes became completely dry from head to toe.

I became a devout Catholic and even attended seminary for 2 years to become a priest. I was there to see if God was calling me to become a priest.

My confidence in the church was dashed when I saw how unreligious many of the priests were, and I was expected to look up to them for guidance, when they themselves were thoroughly lost. Many of the seminarians there were sincere, kind, and devout. I left the seminary because it just didn't settle with me the right way. In my gut I knew that something wasn't right.

For some years after I was a dedicated Catholic. I was going to church and reading everything I could get my hands on. There is one Christian teaching which just didn't settle with me. It was that you absolutely positively could not get to heaven if you are not baptized and accept Jesus as God. Hmmm ... how about people in Arab or Indian countries who have no opportunity to know anything about Christianity? According to the Bible Jesus will send them to Hell to be eternally tormented.

Well this got my mind working again and I started looking at whether there is any evidence that people from other religions can go to heaven. Well I found that other religions have equally impressive miracles as Catholics such as elephant statues "drinking" milk to the point where there was a milk shortage in India. I think there is a Buddhist, possibly a yogi, whose body has stayed uncorrupted after his death like Catholic saints. Even that some devout Buddhists burst into light at their death (which would explain the image on the shroud of turin).

It wasn't until I read about OBE that I was really convinced that you didn't need to be a member of any religion or group to get into heaven. These are actual experiences from living people that you can even experience if you want to.

So my current view is that I'm not bitter at the Church or organized religion. I'm a bit annoyed at the monumental waist of time that I spent learning more about Christianity when I really could have been taking more responsibility for my own actions and developing my full potential. But hey maybe that was necessary for me to grow.

The biggest difficulty I have now is living somewhat of a double life. One is pretending that I'm a nominal Christian so that my parents (When I went into the seminary they became very devout) and friends don't freak out thinking satan got me. I'm slowly nudging them with ideas that maybe things aren't as cut and dry as they may think.

In general I find that it is isolating if you are not a Christian in American society. Especially if you have views similar to many people in this forum. Even though it is more difficult to fit in with others I am happier now than I've ever been and more understanding of others because I've gone down that road too.

I think the subscription idea is a good idea in that it will:

1)  Limit those who are really interested in these subjects. So that more meaningful discussions can take place.

2)  It will also be quicker to find relevant posts by more experienced members which will also help with answering questions only more experienced members can answer.

3) Reduce the amount of "static" from well intentioned, but not experienced members.

4) The money will help maintain the website.

On the negative side I think it will:

1)  Create a "brain drain" from the original forums. Which will cause more confusion for beginners and those that can't access the advanced forums for whatever reason.

2)  If the new forums can't be read by nonmembers I think it would deprive the community as a whole from thoughtful discussions and insight. If someone wants a message to be private then use private messaging.

Some thoughts:

1) I think it would be a great idea to have an area where only experienced members can post but others could read. So experienced users get answers from experienced users and newbies can learn more.

2) To join the group post requirements for being considered an experienced member. Such as actually having had an OBE, fully read Astral Projection, etc.. Then ask the moderator to join the group.

3) I've also found the forums to be so large, and there are so many newbies, that the forums are jammed with basic questions and uninformed answers that make it more time consuming to find more advanced help.

4) Creating guidelines for posting and enforcing them will help reduce the amount of static in the forum.

5) If money is needed then post stats on what is needed and how much is collected. Many people will give money if they know it is needed. Have a balance sheet of how much is needed.

Yes: I would welcome a highly focussed subscription only service for $10 per year
--I would if it was necessary to keep the forums on the internet.

No: I have no interest in joining a highly focussed subscription only service
--I don't think a subscription service is necessary to have more focused forum.
