Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Fast Moving Vehicle
February 18, 2025, 20:46:32
I feel like I've had a lot of things out of my control lately. What threw me off in my dream was I knew that the car was going to go into the ditch, but I was completely calm about it while it was happening. Afterwards, everyone in the car was fine, and we all kind of just shrugged it off.

I've been doing a lot of work on letting go of things (past events, stressors in my life beyond my control) and I take it as a sign that I'm making progress working through those things.

I had a dream recently about being a passenger in a car that slid off the road into a ditch.

I didn't see a driver in the car, but I had a flash of deja vu in the dream where I knew we were going to crash before we did.

Seeing my daughter in the future was a powerful thing to witness, but trying to figure out who or what I could potentially be communicating with (or who/what could be using me to communicate) has been the thing that was the most broadening for me.

So, I've needed a few days to wrap my head around this experience. Three days ago, I decided to revisit the Lumenate app for a meditation. During the meditation, I overheard what sounded like either a conversation or a narration. I had this impression that two individuals were arguing, and one was a spirit guide of mine. Then I heard, "Harry is making her curious, and annoyed." The tone of the voice sounded like someone spreading workplace gossip. My immediate thought was, "Who is Harry?"

The Lumenate meditation ended, and I loosely journaled what I experienced, but I wanted clarification. I put on one of the Gateway Experience tapes to try to get some deeper insight on what I experienced, and I made contact with the spirit guide who I felt was the entity being annoyed by this "Harry". I asked her who Harry was, and she explained that he's another guide of mine. I asked what they were disagreeing about, and she explained that Harry intended to use me as a communication beacon, and she was hesitant to let him do so.

After this explanation, I asked if my guide could help me get out of my body. She said she could, but that it wouldn't be in the dramatic sense that I experienced before. I felt a lightness in my left hand, and the sensation of lightness spread through the rest of my body. My perspective tumbled for a moment, like someone aimlessly drifting through space. After my perspective stabilized, I saw who I recognized as my daughter, but she looked older. Currently, my daughter is 1 1/2 years old, but this looked as though she was 3 or 4.

I'm struggling to put how this all felt into words. It was spooky. World-view shattering. It raised a lot more questions than it answered.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Feeling "flipped"
January 22, 2025, 09:20:08
Hey everyone, I just wanted to ask a question.

Recently during meditations, I don't necessarily project, as far as I'm aware, but as my meditations come to an end, I'll feel as though I've been rotated 180 degrees.

Typically when I meditate, I'll lay on the ground with my head facing away from my desk, which happens to be pointing north. As I start to "come to" from deep meditations, I've had numerous instances where I feel as if the whole room I'm in has been mirrored. Objects that I know are on the right side of my body "feel" as if they're now on my left side, and I sense as though my head is now pointing south and is almost under my desk. Upon opening my eyes, I'm back in my original position and my room hasn't changed whatsoever.

Has anyone else encountered anything like this? What would you interpret this as?

I woke up early this morning, wanting to get back on a schedule with my meditative practices. We had a lot of family come visit, and things have finally calmed back down to where I have the opportunity and privacy to meditate.

I decided to revisit one of the earlier recordings from the Gateway Tapes. It didn't yield any kind of powerful, significant experiences or ideas. I realized that I had "clicked out" halfway through the recording and "came back" at the very end.

After the track ended, I just laid on my Shakti mat. The meditation felt like I had listened to two tracks, but I have to manually start each track. It just felt like a considerable amount of time had passed. I was very relaxed.

As I laid on the mat, enjoying the stillness, I unintentionally projected this morning!

At first, I felt as though My body had rotated 180 degrees (my head was facing north, but I felt like it was now facing south, and my large guitar amp that was to my right was on my left.)

I could see the door of my office. The lighting in the room was off, like a sepia tone. I didn't think much of it and decided to go use the bathroom. I felt sort of heavy and lethargic, like I was moving through a fluid. At one point, something clicked, and I realized that I was not walking  to my bathroom, I was floating. I could feel my feet occasionally touching the ground as I moved through the building like an astronaut moving around the ISS. I went to round a corner in what didn't necessarily still resemble my house, and I passed my hand through the wall. I went to go through a doorway and got stuck. Then I found myself back in my body.

It was an awesome experience.

I think I just had another successful projection, despite how brief it was.

This morning I decided to try to meditate with "the training wheels off". No guidance, no binaural beats, nothing.

I went into my home office and laid out my yoga mat on the floor. I got comfortable, put on a sleep mask, and started to simply focus on my breathing.

I was able to feel myself reach a state of meditation. For those familiar with the Gateway Tapes, I'd say it was comparable to the "Focus 10" state.

I felt myself occasionally snoring for a moment, but I was completely conscious and aware of it. The snoring was taking me out of my concentrated focus, but I still maintained a "mind awake, body asleep" state.

At one point, I saw the closed door to my home office from my living room. Unfortunately, this only lasted for a brief moment because it was interrupted by another brief snore.

After ending my meditation (which lasted much shorter than it felt), I realized that it was a brief flash of an OBE.

Typically, the patterns and shapes I tend to see while using the app resemble a multicolor chess board. I'll see other shapes and patterns of numerous colors, but the grid of squares has been the most common for me.

I didn't want to detract from the topic, but I had a vivid, powerful experience today while using the app.

First, I think I managed to either AP or I might have experienced a Remote Viewing. During a 30 minute meditation, I had a moment where I saw a small street from above that I didn't recognize, but the street was distinctly shaped. I saw cars driving on it in real time. Then I saw a place that I didn't recognize. It was a large, old-looking structure. It was dark. I felt like it was underground or something. I got the impression that it was library or something similar. There were shelves from floor to ceiling.

What really got me about the whole thing was that later in the day, I went out to run errands. I'm not that familiar with my new neighborhood yet, so I had to use GPS while driving. As I drove, I passed the spot I had seen from above, or at least some place with a very similar layout. I made a point to draw the area I saw after my meditation, and it lines up with the map pretty closely. I also got a strange message towards the end of the meditation.

"You have driven me numerous times, but now you know what it is like to be driven."

It's really interesting that you mention this. I came across the Lumenate app three days ago, and I've had some very interesting results with it.

The app uses the light of your phone camera to create a strobing pattern, paired with binaural beats to aid in the induction of meditative states.

So far, I've had progressively productive results with the app, and at first I saw changing patterns and shapes of various colors.

This was a first for me to experience this after a NP experience. Initially, I felt great afterwards. It was a very positive experience, and I had a great feeling of contentment throughout the rest of the day. It was the days following the NP experience where I just felt drained and down. I've been consistently active outdoors, eating relatively well, and sticking to regular hatha yoga practices. I just wasn't sure if this was related to the experience or not.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

I had a very vivid, powerful AP on the 30th, and I've felt drained and depressed since.

It's my understanding that AP taps into your energy. Does anyone have recommendations for dealing with this? Since this AP, I've tried to meditate every morning for the past 4 days, but I'm struggling to reach that deep, meditative state.

Any suggestions?

I ended up exploring AP after reaching out and working with a therapist to deal with depression and chronic pain, so I get where you're coming from.

The past 3-4 months have been super stressful for me as well, and I struggled with successfully experiencing conscious APs during that time.

Now that I'm getting situated in a routine again, I'm having more and more success. It's like I had to get back to the basics, and this time it's been easier with the helpful advice from the folks here on this site.

Hey, just wanted to say welcome.

On your reddit post, Xanth responded to me when I was talking about finding a balance and went onto say that everyone is capable of AP and we all do it regularly, whether we realize or not.

In my year of experience with AP, it becomes noticeably more difficult to achieve conscious AP when you try to "force" it. My biggest struggle is "letting go" and letting it happen while remaining conscious of it.

I've found that if I've got too much stress on my hands in my physical, waking life that AP becomes significantly more difficult to do consciously. That was the balance I was referring to.

It's funny that you bring this up, because I saw your post on reddit right after I had my first successful AP meditation in months. This page is a goldmine of information, and the moderators and regular contributors have tons of experience that you'll probably find helpful.

Have you had any big changes in your life recently? I find it easier to have regular conscious APs when I'm in a positive mindset and have a productive schedule to follow in my day.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / AP Interview
October 27, 2024, 07:54:19
Hey everyone. I reached out to omcasey for some advice on suggestions they had given me, and they recommended asking my questions on the board so others could possibly benefit from them. I took some time and came up with some questions, but I realized that it might be helpful to make this a sort of interview for anyone with AP experience who is willing to share. Also, if anyone else looking for advice thinks of questions that I haven't addressed, feel free to ask them.

How often do you meditate?

When you AP, is your intention specific or different from meditation, or is it a result of meditation?

(This question is more specific to omcasey, but feel free to answer if you'd like) You've mentioned yogic breathing practices in one of my earlier posts. Do you follow other yogic studies, and if so, which ones?

Do you feel that certain physical practices or conditions affect one's ability to AP (diet, physical activity, tiredness, etc.), and what have you found to be most effective in your AP practices?

In my few AP experiences, my biggest obstacle to overcome is remaining calm and not getting overexcited during the buildup of vibrational energy, and the shock of the one "violent" spontaneous exit I experienced, during which it felt as though I was being shot out of a cannon.  Have you dealt with any similar obstacles in your AP journey, and what have been your most effective solutions to dealing with this?

How long have you been APing, and would you say that you can AP at will? If so, how long did it take you to achieve this?

What was the biggest block you've had to overcome in your AP journey, and how did you do it?

I look forward to your feedback, and hope this post helps anyone with similar questions.

I've been going through a lot of changes in life recently, including a long distance move.

It's been about a month since we moved, and I've been struggling to get into a productive routine. I let old vices get the better of me for a while, with the excuse of just being stressed out, but this week I have been making a committed effort to be more productive physically, in regards to handling things around the house, and spiritually. I'm already seeing changes that I'm happy with.

I've been successful in once again incorporating meditation and yoga practices daily, and it's like a weight has been lifted off of my mind. I feel happier, more calm, and really at peace with where I am at in my life.

I was meditating after a yoga practice earlier this week, and was doing some reflection. I made an effort to reach out to guides, and a guide contacted me. I was expressing that it felt so good to meditate again, and they responded by saying, "I'm proud of you." Without hesitation, I responded, "I'm proud of me too."

I'm still putting together my understanding of what guides and your Higher Self are in terms of subconscious and consciousness, but I understand that they are a part of us as a whole. This experience was such an uplifting, powerful reinforcement indicating that I'm making progress in a positive direction.

Throughout the rest of the week, meditations have yielded more profound results. I'm "clicking out" less during guided meditations, and I feel like I'm re-attuning with my energy body more and more with each meditation. It's just great to feel this spiritual growth again.

I agree completely. I see this forum as a goldmine of information and support for those at any stage of a spiritual journey. The more other ask questions and share their experiences, the more valuable this resource will become. I only recently joined, but it has been such a big help to be able to ask questions and learn from those with more knowledge and experience. It's such a welcoming community, and I have yet to experience any kind of negativity or judgement here. If anyone wants to learn or ask questions, don't hesitate to join in.

EV,

I've never raced before, but it's a bit strange how well the points BarboraD made fit with this dream.

Right before I woke up at the end of the dream, I came to the realization that I was overthinking the "race" and I just needed to go like I would any other day on my motorcycle.

It is a bit sad though, because I'm moving and just sold the motorcycle. I'm going to miss it.

Frostytraveler,

I had recently begun to make an effort during meditations to figure out who this woman is. I managed to actively "will" her into view. We spoke without speaking this time (non-verbal communication). I asked her who she was, but got no response. I then asked if she was a past life of mine. She answered in a very open-ended way that she might be, or she might be a future life. She also expressed the possibility that she is a part of my current life.

Things sort of clicked at this point. I asked if she was one of my guides and she simply smiled and didn't answer. I took it as a yes. I feel like guides can't just give you the answers, but they can lead you to them. After coming to this conclusion during the meditation, I felt a pull to just spend as much time with her in that moment as I could. We didn't talk or anything after that point, I was just with her. I tried to get her name, but it didn't come through clearly.

I've seen her in 2 more meditations since then.

I am really interested in the course at the institute, but the cost and time are a big obstacle right now, unfortunately.

What was the institute like? Did you have any profound experiences while you were there?

I'm curious if anyone else has used the Gateway Method tapes.

They were crucial to my introduction to spirituality and my exploration of OBEs. My first OBE was partially induced through a combination of Yoga Nidra and following the Gateway Method. It was very brief, but it solidified my belief as a former skeptic that there is definitely more to our existence beyond the physical universe surrounding us.

As I progressed through the tapes, I felt less and less in terms of developing my Out of Body exploratory abilities. I got busy and distracted by daily life, and I made the mistake of trying to explore other methods to increase my abilities and possibly develop the skills to manually induce OBEs.

It got to the point where I stopped the tapes altogether, and I noticed recently that I had gotten back into all of the old bad habits that I had left behind when I started this journey of spirituality and exploration. This prompted me to get back to the basics, and I decided to refresh myself on the tapes from the beginning.

I started today, and I was not expecting the results I received.

I had to stop the tape on my first attempt because I heard my dogs barking and my daughter had woken from a nap. During this meditation, I followed the instructions and made a point to listen as though I was brand new to the tapes. At one point, I saw something. I was on a beach, looking at the ocean. I could hear the waves rolling up to the shores. A woman then appeared before me. She looked as though she had just come out of the ocean. She seemed to be in distress, and she was soaking wet. Her hair was long and dark, and was covering the sides of her face. She stood maybe 2-3 feet in front of me. She said nothing, but her mouth hung open. Her skin seemed pale, and her eyes a bit sunken. I didn't sense any malicious intention from her. She simply stood before me, breathing and looking into my eyes. I wasn't afraid, but I was caught off guard by her presence.

This was happening during the "Orientation" tape, where you are introduced to the very first step of reaching the meditative state that most Out of Body exploration is expected.

On my second attempt to listen to the tape in its entirety, I saw other things  throughout the progression of the tape. It was as though I was watching someone play a game similar to Age of Empires, where you progress through different periods of the civilizations of mankind. The "game" was in the very beginning where early man was divided into small groups of essentially cavemen. I saw them from above, in a third person perspective. It appeared as though I was seeing them on screen, like in the game. At one point, my field of vision shifted, as though I had turned my head. I realized that I hadn't been looking at a computer screen, I was looking through a window. To my right I saw a large computer console of sorts. It was maybe 12 feet tall, spanning from floor to ceiling. I saw numerous control panels on the large console. It was like the scene in The Truman Show where the director is observing Truman from above, but we were observing early man.

Again, this was all during the "Orientation" tape, where you are introduced to the basic concepts of The Gateway Method. I didn't see anything remotely close to any of this during my first time listening to the tapes, and I'm curious where this will take me.

I will continue this "refresher" course, but I was curious of anyone's thoughts or experiences with The Gateway Method.

How do you spin your Chakras?
#23
I'm interested in learning more about Chakra meditation, but I have no idea where to start. I can find information, and I know the 7 main Chakras, but anything past that has been confusing.

How can I discern whether Chakras are blocked? Is it intuition?

When you meditate on a specific Chakra, how do you do it?

Any advice or references would be greatly appreciated.

This video was shared with me here on one of my posts, and I found it helpful.
