I've been considering trying it recently, but I wanted to visit here first for advice.
Does anyone here have any experience using it?
If so, do you recommend it or not?
If not, why?

Hello!
I don't know if many of you know or will remember me as I was just another regular member on here quite a while ago...

Anyway, I hadn't even thought about anything astral or metaphysical for a long time except for the occasional few minutes here and there, but the other day I picked up a book of mine about OBEs, and started to crave whatever it is I was learning here.
So I came back to the forums, looked around a bit and my interest in all things spiritual came back.

So how is everyone?

I think you all should watch this video.
It's about a little bird who'd give it all...

You won't understand it at first, but then you will.
Have the sound on, it makes it much better.
I don't know why, but I really connected with the little dude.  :-P

I found this incredible blog written by soldiers (now veterans) of the Iraq war, who didn't want to fight. They signed up for the honour, but never got it. They fought just to survive. You can still read the blogs from when they were actually there, but the latest ones are of them reflecting on what happened, as they are now veterans. They're intelligent, so the blogs are good reads.

I just downloaded this the other day, and it's really fun (and free)!
I used to make stick animations in paint, and put the frames into 'Animagic'.
That took forever, because I had to erase the background each time, and load all of the frames seperately.
This is much easier.

There's a newer one than the one I use, but it's in BETA so it's buggy.
Although with the update, it lets you add any image you want, and have multiple backgrounds.

My first finished animation:

If you upload your own, please just post the link to it so the page doesn't lag like mad.
You should use http://pivothost.org.

I've been thinking lately that playing video games would probably diminish your ability to become lucid in dreams. I think this because if you played them a lot, you'd be used to being a different person in a different place at a different time, and often the events in the game are impossible to occur in real life. So, you would be in a dream and your mind wouldn't notice anything different happening than 'usual', because it's so used to those situations.

Thoughts?

Welcome to Astral Chat! / Personality Quiz (2)
October 10, 2006, 19:42:20
I found this quiz posted on here back in 2003. It already had 5 pages, and members who posted are mostly long gone, or their personalities would have changed anyway. I thought it was interesting, so I thought I'd re-post it.

Hi, I'm wondering which of the three everyone here prefers the most and why. It seems that lately OBEs are way more popular than Astral Projections. I want to know why you think that, or why you still like Astral Projections better, or if you even like Lucid Dreams the best. Or, do you think they're all the same thing?

An OBE as in when you usually start in your room, then explore Earth.
An Astral Projection as in when you travel to the Astral Planes.
A Lucid Dream as in realizing that you're dreaming, and exploring your dreams.

Personally, I like Astral Projection the best, because you get to travel to (what could be) the after life, meet deceased friends, they're easier, clearer and longer for me, etc.

Welcome to Book Reviews! / Nobody True
October 03, 2006, 19:47:39
Title: Nobody True (Get the pun there? No? Try harder :))
Author: James Herbert

I just picked this book up last weekend, and only read the first two chapters for now, because I'm currently reading two other books. It seems amazing so far, and I'm sure you'll all like the topic. :)

Back Of Book:
QuoteJames True Was Not There When He Died
He returned from an out-of-body experience to find that he'd been murdered and mutilated. He had no body to go back to.
But who murdered him? The serial killer terrorizing the city-or someone closer? True had no enemies, at least none that he knew of.
To discover the truth, James True must track down his killer. The initial horror of True's experience is followed by an even greater terror... his family are the murderer's next targets.
Without a body, True has no substance and no real power. No one can see him, no one can hear him, and no one except his murderer even knows his spirit still exists.
How can he save his family?

Yes.. I just typed that all out.
I'll post a whole review when I finish the book.

Does anyone know any other OBE or Astral Projection books that are fiction, with a good plot like this? If so, please post them.

Welcome to Astral Chat! / I Broke My USB Port..
October 01, 2006, 19:43:49
Hi, this may sound a little dumb. (Well, it is dumb) It also doesn't have anything to do with an Astral Projection forum, but...

I broke my USB Port. Both ports.
I was leaning on the back two legs of my chair, my mp3 player was plugged in, and I dropped the chair down onto its front legs.
The leg crushed the cable, which I think snapped something in the port.
I smelled smoke, and it wasn't very good.
I still don't know if the port I wasn't using was broken initially, but I know I at least made it worse, if not broke it by messing with it, trying to fix it. A piece of black plastic snapped out.
I realized after 20 minutes of tinkering that a piece of plastic is stuck in the usb cable.

So now, both ports and my cable are broken.
I think I can get a replacement cable easily, but is there any way I can get the port itself fixed for cheap? Without sending anything away, or buying online?
I don't know how to fix it myself.

Thanks.
