[Desiderata]

On this Thanksgiving day, I would like to share one of my favourite poems.

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially, do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass.

Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.
You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.

And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

The modern Bible is the result of a collection of texts and verbal accounts from a time where the languages, in particular The Parables, spoken were in an ancient, now defunct language known as Aramaic, the language of the person who came to be known as "Jesus", and which was a pre-cursor to modern Hebrew. The New Testament, which included The Lords Prayer, was later transliterated from Aramaic to Greek, then Latin - when the Romans invented Christianity in 325 CE - and finally to medieval English. During this transliteration process, much of it the original message was lost or altered in translation, and conceals the meaning, power and often beauty of the original.

One of the most iconic passages in the Christian Bible is the "Lords Prayer". Jesus highly likely spent most of his earlier years with a secretive order of Jewish Mystics known the "Essenes" who prepared him for his forthcoming ministry as depicted in the Bible.

It was with the Essenes that he would have learned the Essene Lords Prayer which he later spoke at the "Sermon on the Mount", and would have spoken in his native language, Aramaic. This original Lords Prayer is both beautiful and Spiritual and I would now like to share it here: Those who are familiar with the modern Biblical Lords prayer will no doubt recognise its similarities.

Oh Thou, from whom the breath of life comes,

[Lower Astral:]

I am re-posting this in response to the post by Frostytraveler in the "Issue at the crossroads Astral Projection and Mysticism" topic of graphical view of the universe as depicted in the above video. I felt that, in retrospect, this should be a separate topic to the most interesting and profound views presented in the other thread.

I did not watch the above video, but that graphic is an interesting illustration of the Universe. I would like to offer an alternative view to consider, and perhaps as a reference for further discussion:

Lower Astral: - 12.5% of the Astral. These are the realms of people who on Earth were weighed down by a lower vibration due to extreme negativity, harming of others or intent to do so, pursuit of power and control over others etc., These realms are the exact vibratory correspondence of their low Astral level vibration, including an environment which seems dim, murky, misty and foreboding, void of any beauty. and where they still continue their negative and harmful traits. The upper, lower level of the Astral include the "belief system territories", where those inhabiting it are stuck in some sort of rigid belief system, religious etc. and where they can continue to practice their beliefs in religious constructs that they have created with their minds. Souls that appear to be stuck in these realms are often rescued by Souls from the mid-Astral, where there are teams are dedicated to this endeavour.

Note: These people are not permanently trapped in these lower Astral realms. When they eventually learn or realise the sheer futility of their actions, beliefs, characters etc, the vibration of  their Astral body rises, and they transition to the mid-Astral. "Death" on Earth is accompanied by an increase in vibratory frequency to focussed in the etheric then Astral bodies, to automatically transition to the corresponding vibratory frequency of the Astral. In the Astral there are many such "deaths" and "resurrections" to progressively higher vibratory frequencies as evolution continues.

Mid-Astral - 75% of the Astral These are the realms where the majority of decent people transition to after passing from Earth due to the corresponding vibratory frequency of the Astral body. Same applies to Astral projectors who are similarly restricted by the vibratory frequency of the Astral body. In both cases it is impossible to go higher than their inherent vibratory frequency but can go lower, for retrievals etc. Those on Earth with a very high vibratory frequency can project throughout the Astral including the highest realms, just as those who permanently transition from Earth. can likewise do. The mid-Astral realms are constructed by the minds of people who have departed Earth, who still retain the traits of ego and materialism, which is still associated with a physical body and physical constructs, where they can continue to live as they did on Earth, except they soon discover that they can easily project into their experience anything they wish with the mind, including a body corresponding to that which they most readily associated with during their "prime of life" on Earth.

Upper Astral - 12.5% of the Astral. When the ego of people in the mid Astral finally realise the sheer futility of the desire for material things and body association, they experience an increase in vibratory frequency and "die" to the mid-Astral to be re-born within the upper Astral. These are still worlds of form, but characterised by sheer beauty, harmony and bliss, free from the earthly egotistical materialistic characteristics of the mid Astral. The Astral realms are often, and erroneously, characterised as seven levels, and hence why level seven is sometimes known as "seventh heaven" which is used on Earth to describe a blissful state of being.

The Astral realms as a whole are still at a very low vibratory frequency in comparison to the Universe as a whole, Spiritual realms and Source, and exist as an anomaly which temporarily exists as a sort of "buffer zone" between Earth and the greater Spiritual realms.

The Spiritual realms. Upon transitioning from the Astral, the previously low vibratory density of ego is left behind and the associated Soul dissipates, no longer required. The Spiritual realms and the Mental body and Mental realms of pure Spirit, beyond body and form, where Spirits live on in a state of pure consciousness. This is also the realm of the Higher Self, the Eternal Spirit, which, once perfected by the collective experience of countless physical incarnations it sends to Earth, or other planet, continues inwards on the journey home to ultimately become fully God, Source realised, at which point, the perfected Spirit views all the experiences before it for what it really  is - a dream. We never really left. Once Home, all creation is fully known as Source.

The Spiritual realms cannot be described in human language, except to say they are far beyond human comprehension, such is their sheer ecstatic beauty and Love on a scale and level also far beyond earthly comprehension.

There have been many names ascribed to the Spiritual realms, and I have used a few myself in past writings for illustrative purposes, but ultimately the entire Universe is a continuum encompassing "All that Is". High Spiritual Beings that channel knowledge through Earth mediums often speak of density levels, e.g. 5, 6, 7...........11 etc, referring to vibratory frequencies, and hence nominal density, which I think is probably the most meaningful for illustrative purposes, although still a continuum.

I did not anticipate this post being as long as it became, but I hope that it at least this contribution may provide some further food for thought.

As many of you will know, the forums have been unavailable for a few days.

I was away a lot myself and was unaware of these issues, and was not made aware of them.  

Because the issue occurred about 8 days ago it was out of range of the automated daily and weekly backups which would have ensured minimum data loss - the weekly backup backed up the database issue after 7 days - and so the best we can do is to restore another, older backup from 2 months ago.

This is obviously not ideal, but at least we are back, with my apologies for the missing posts etc.

As some of you may have discovered we experienced a major database crash on 30 October which has now been fully resolved.

I have received questions asking for an update from me - so here it is.

I am here most days and whenever I can and still, as ever, put the necessary time in to keeping these forums running from a technical and admin perspective without which they would not last long.

I have so many projects and services for the benefit and enjoyment of so many different people that although, in Spirit, we are indeed "everywhere" concurrently and connected with All, ata physical level we must operate within the specific restrictions of space-time.

The moderators here do an exceptional job of keeping the forums running smoothly on a day to day basis, and there are now so many knowledgeable members to help newcomers which are increasing as we approach the transition. These are among the most crucial subjects which is why I started these forums in 2002 and have put a vast amount of time and money in to keeping them running for the benefit of All.

The stats say it all:

225606 Posts in 27682 Topics by 31269 Members as of 31 October 2009 which is quite remerkable for a forum of these subjects, and would not have been possible without the dedication and contributions of moderators and members.

The main Out of Body Experience boeard is rapidly approaching 50 posts alone which is quite exceptional and an excellent indication of just how interested people are and are becoming in this subject.

Over the years, many people have asked me how they too can contribute to raising the consciousness of humanity in readiness for the monumental events that we might all be facing over the next few years, many not feeling happy knowing these truths themselves, wishing to share with loved ones, relations and friends, and to be of service to others in whatever way they can.

Every person that you know, whether family, friend or acquaintances that you do not at least endeavour to awaken, as you have become awakened yourself by others who in turn cared about you, is a very crucial opportunity lost for all humanity, and an opportunity lost towards gaining the Spiritual rewards that will surely follow in the form of corresponding positive Energy, sometimes called "karma"
for yourself, as well as the incremental benefits for humanity, life on Earth and of Earth, great Planetary Spirit Gaia Herself.

Just one person could make the crucial difference in the outcome of the next few years, and that person could be you.

Hello everyone,

You wil no doubt have noticed that we are missing a couple of days of posts.

The forums were hacked for a second time which resulted in all posts being deleted by the hacker. Usually I have a backup that is no older than a day, but there was an issue with the backup system which means the backup was not as current as usual.

I do a lot behind the scenes to keep the forums running, and fending off the many attacks we attract due to the subjects we discuss here is just one of them.

There's two people currently on this BBS who have listened to the Wave 1 CD without much progress; and I suspect there may be more who have long since lobbed them to the back of a drawer somewhere, after listening to the CDs without having any real results.

Now I find that strange because, for me, the Wave 1 CD has been a very effective tool in my efforts to gain control over the exit process; and to try and work out where Monroe is coming from when he speaks about "phasing in" to the Astral; instead of doing like I used to, for example, which was the feeling of being shot from a cannon and landing within the Astral somewhere; with no real control whatsoever.

Now I know myself pretty well by now, and I know for a fact that I do not have any natural talent for this obe stuff. I make the point because someone could say the reason why I am successful, is because I have a natural talent for projection, and so forth. Not a bit. All my gains are hard fought let me assure you. Though, in hindsight, I feel it is because I have no real talent for things of this nature, I've been forced to use my imagination to quite a high degree.

It was when I read the following, that I suddenly thought where people may be going wrong:

In my case, I was trying to concentrate on an image that I could see behind my eyelids, I think that Mr. Jeff Mash mentioned this in one of his posts.

Concentrating on an image behind your closed eyelids, and imagining you are going from your Energy Conversion Box to Focus 3: are entirely *different* things.

You see, the Wave 1 CD does not in any way "induce" the obe state. In other words you cannot simply lie back, think of any old thing, and 10 minutes down the line you float out of the room. All the CD does is to provide an outline structure, and *you* have to provide the infill. But that's what makes it so effective. The way you provide that infill, is to use your imagination.

What I thought I'd do (excuse the length) is to give you a rundown of my experience that demonstrates what I mean. Personally, I'm surprised at the lack of support information supplied by TMI. I would have thought some kind of similar rundown example would have been supplied with the CDs. This would at least give people an example to work from, which they could just chop and change to suit.

Okay, here goes.............

Wave 1, CD1, Track 2:

OCEAN SURF

Place physical body in a relaxed position, take a few deep breaths and check head and neck is comfy and properly supported. Then I imagine my sense of conscious awareness is drifting upwards to the top of my consciousness cone.

NOTE: I posted before about how I imagine my consciousness to be a cone with everyday thoughts, actions, etc., at the bottom of the cone: with the start of the Astral at the top.

GO NOW TO YOUR ENERGY CONVERSION BOX

I time it so that when I imagine I reach the top of the cone, Monroe says the above.

At the top of my consciousness cone is an attic room. At the opposite side to which I enter there is a doorway marked "Border to the Astral" in large letters. At the centre of the room is a large wooden box. Standing next to the box is Clive, the butler, who helps me lift the lid of the box and remove my Physical sheathe. We open the lid and inside is a lower area containing any Physical-matter concerns, etc. The upper area has a shelf where my Physical sheathe can lie safely until I next collect it.

So I wriggle out of my Physical sheathe to reveal my body of light. Clive takes the sheathe while asking me if I have anything else to deposit in the box (which I hand over as necessary). He lays the sheathe out and we close the heavy lid.

I walk through the doorway marked "Border to the Astral" and step outside into the fresh clean air; the sand underfoot is soft and warm; the atmosphere is comforting; everything feels secure and familiar. I look behind and Clive is standing in the doorway wishing me a safe journey. I thank him for his assistance and he closes the door. On the outside of the door is marked "To C1" in large letters.

Ahead is a pathway composed of inlaid, white stone slabs that contrast with the golden brown of the sand. The path leads to my resonant-tuning pyramid. It's a pyramid structure, but with a flat top about ten feet square and around 10 feet in height. Each of the four sides has steps from top to bottom. The structure is made of the same stone as the pathway and, to the right of the pyramid, is a large golden-coloured harp.

BEGIN NOW YOUR PROCESS OF RESONANT TUNING

I time it so that as Monroe instructs the above, I begin climbing the steps to the top of my resonant-tuning pyramid. I sit in the Lotus position, on a large cushion, on the flat top. A helper appears to play the harp and pick the strings that resonate with the sounds on the CD. The whole area vibrates and sings in harmony. Ripples of joy run through me as each string is plucked and my body of light tingles and glows a pure white.

NOW RELAX AND BREATHE NORMALLY

At the point where Monroe says the above, I walk down the front steps of the pyramid, take a few more steps forward, and stand on a large inlaid, white stone slab marked "Declaration Stone". As I do so, a white mist appears in front of me. When it clears, I see a large round structure has arisen from the sand. I walk down the path to a door marked "Declaration Room".

I enter the room and I'm right away flanked by two Saintly-looking people each dressed in a pure white silk robe. In front of me is a large crystal Orb that is glowing with an orange/yellow light. Both sides of the Orb, facing me, are 2 more Saint like people that stand as official witnesses to my declaration.

I take a bow and give my declaration. As I do so the Orb begins to pulsate. The colour changes and becomes progressively less orange turning to a brighter and brighter yellow. Then it becomes a pure white as I come to the end of my declaration. At this moment, a door opens to my right. I'm ushered to this doorway and look out. On the ground to my left is a pointed sign, saying "To Focus 3" in large letters. Looking in the direction of the sign I can see the Focus 3 archway in the distance. At the same time, Monroe says, "Now you will move to Focus 3."

Now Monroe starts the count to Focus 3:

While Monroe is talking, I'm acknowledging what he is saying while walking down the stone path towards the F3 archway. I stand on a stone slab and I look down and see, deeply and clearly engraved in the stone is, "F1". (Note: this action is timed with the CD, like always.) I acknowledge the engraving on the slab by looking at it for a few moments, and then continue walking. Next I come across another similar slab, only this time the engraving on the stone says, "F2".

Then I walk forwards towards the F3 archway.

I time it so that as I stand under the large archway, Monroe says, "3" followed by, "relax and enjoy...." etc. At which point I turn around and look back down the path and see the Declaration Room where I just came from. Then I turn to settle into a large reclining chair that is under the archway. I sit down and look into the distance. I can see my F10 hut sitting on top of a plateau area. A steadily inclining white stone pathway leads to my F10 hut.

I relax into the chair and recline it. As I do so, a female helper appears.

Now Monroe starts the relaxation process starting, "Let your jaw relax......" As Monroe directs, the female helper massages my head and facial area while I just lie back and enjoy!

As Monroe begins saying about letting the relaxation process flow into the brain, I get up and thank my helper and she wishes me a successful journey. Now I stand outside the archway looking across to my F10 hut. I Look down and wiggle my toes as Monroe begins saying, "into your toes.........." etc. As Monroe talks about the relaxation flow from the brain, I imagine myself slowly filling up with a kind of liquid that makes me feel vibrant and totally in tune with my surroundings.

I'M GOING TO COUNT NOW

Now I begin walking along the white stone path towards my F10 hut. Monroe says, "4" and I time it so that, at that point, I'm standing on a slab engraved with "F4" in large letters at the top. I look down and acknowledge that I am at F4 by looking at the engraved figures for a few moments. Then, still standing still on the slab, I do the observation and relaxation exercises as Monroe prompts.

Then I walk forwards some more, and I time it so that when Monroe says, "5" I'm standing on a slab marked "F5". There I do the exercises Monroe suggests, then do the same with, "6"; "7" and "8". First acknowledge the engraving on the slab; do the exercises as per Monroe's prompting; and when Monroe is silent between counts, continue walking down the path. (Obviously it takes a short while to learn the CD and get the timing absolutely right.)

After "9" I continue up the path and arrive at the foot of some stone steps, which lead upwards to the plateau on which my F10 hut is situated. I walk up the steps and see, about 30 yards ahead, is the entrance to my F10 hut. Between this is another embedded stone slab engraved with a large "F10" at the top. I walk forwards, stand on the slab and look down acknowledging the engraved "F10". At this moment, Monroe says, "10". Then I go through the prompted exercise, just like before with the previous slabs.

Then Monroe repeats the number "10" several times, during which I'm walking towards the entrance of my F10 hut. I open the door, enter the hut, and close the door behind me. I stand for a moment and Monroe says, "Relax and be calm and comfortable in Focus 10".

On the opposite wall to the door I came in, is a large opening through which is Focus 12 (and on to the Astral proper). The scene through the opening is like a clear night sky, with the deep blackness punctuated by millions of stars and planets. Sometimes I just stand and admire the view, listening to Monroe's voice on the CD. Or I may leave the hut and fly around. But not too far as it's easy to get carried away and lose the fact that this is an exercise. (The return from which is very important for the exercise as a whole.)

The return:

On one wall of my F10 hut is a door marked "Direct Return to C1" On Monroe's prompt, "You will return now to full Physical waking reality, as I count from 10 down to 1" I open the door, walk through into the large tunnel and close the door behind me.

I'M GOING TO COUNT NOW

Then Monroe says, "10" and I look at the door I just walked through, seeing it has "Entry to F10" written on it, in large letters. Then I start jogging down the tunnel and come to a door marked with a large figure "9". I quickly go through it (no need to close as it's spring loaded). Jogging along the descending tunnel I come to a similar door marked "8" then "7" then "6" and onto doorways 5, 4 and 2. (Have to be quick here as Monroe doesn't give you much time, but this does greatly add to the effect).

Going through doorway "2" I see the opening of the tunnel. I emerge next to the C1 door I stepped out of originally. The C1 door is open and Clive is beckoning me to hurry. He has my Physical sheathe ready which I step into quickly. He welcomes me back and asks if I'd like to take anything else from the box. I say, "Leave it, no time" and I descend quickly to ordinary waking consciousness at the bottom of my consciousness cone. This happens just after Monroe says, "1". (I always think, "Phew, just made it!")

Monroe then prompts, "wake up, open your eyes........" etc. So I do as prompted, in that I actually open my eyes, breathe deeply, and stretch my legs and arms, exactly as Monroe instructs.

One subject I receive many emails about, especially as we near the potential events, is 2012, initially brought to prominence as the so called "end of the Mayan calendar".

In fact the Mayan calendar is only one integral part of considerably larger and independent evidence from multiple sources of absolutely crucial events for all mankind around the central date 11:11 GMT, 21 December, 2012.

We do not yet know exactly what will happen or indeed if anything will happen, but with the increasing evidence it will, and the absolutely massive implications for mankind and the planet Earth, now would be a good time to start these discussions.

I will be adding recommended books, sites and other resources very soon, but to start things off below is a copy of my newsletter of some weeks ago on the subject of 2012.

This is a very serious issue so please can we keep it serious. While conspiracies, ET's, channeling and other factors all have their part to play, they must be kept in perspective.

This subject is extremely relevant to the Astral Pulse because as we near 2012 such experiences as spontaneous Out of Body Experiences, Astral Projection, Lucid Dreams etc. could well become increasingly prevalent; and we need to discuss them here.

Also, the most likely outcome, if there is one, will be a "stripping away" of time and space and a merging with the 4th Density; i.e. the Astral worlds; again, one of our main topics of discussion. here.

With a calm, balanced, knowledgable resource, we can approach 2012 with joy rather than any negative emotion, because if 2012 does happen it will be a cause for great joy.

-----The 2012 Prophecies-----

One question that frequently arises is that of the year 2012.

Many people will have heard that December 21 2012 is a day of great
significance, mostly in the context of that date being the very end
of the Mayan calendar and everything that implies.

The big question on the minds of most people is "what is the
significance of this date"? What will happen to Earth? What will
happen to all of us?

This is a huge subject, and one that goes way beyond the scope of
this newsletter. However, it is also an extremely important
subject, and one that I will be focusing on through various
resources in the future. Today however we will take a look at some
of the basics surrounding 2012.

What is the real significance of December 21 2012?

The reason this date has become so well-known is because it is the
date that represents the "end of the Mayan calendar".

Why is this so important?

It is important because the Mayan's, like many of the ancient races
of millennial ago, were in fact extremely advanced in many areas. By
"advanced" we do not necessarily mean in terms of "technology",
which in itself does not mean advancement at all, but as
astronomers, mathematicians and builders; among other things.

Like the ancient Egyptians, to whom they were almost certainly
related at some time, probably linked through the legendary
continent of Atlantis, which is not actually a legend, the Mayans
built the most amazing structures that defy explanation; being
beyond beyond the capabilities of so called "modern man.

The Mayans were also incredible observers, mathematicians, and
keepers of ancient and sacred knowledge. Using these abilities they
were able to construct calendars which not only chart time, but
also charted the cosmos, and forthcoming great world events.

We know that such an event, perhaps even the final event, is to
take place on December 21 2012. The big question is what?

This is a question that will be addressed in the future both here
and through other resources which will be announced in due course.
Only be endeavoring to fully understand 2012 and putting it into
the right context can we be fully prepared for this event.

In fact; there are three major issues that we need to consider and
to face in the next few years. These are:

1. December 21 2012
2. Earth planetary changes
3. The agenda of terrestrial and extra-terrestrial factions

Although at first glance these might seem separate, they are in
fact linked in various ways.

But today let us take a look at some of the very basics of 2012.

The ancient Mayans had many advanced abilities and most
importantly ancient knowledge, probably originating from sources
that are not immediately apparent at this time. Among these
abilities were mathematics, astronomy, and prophecy based upon past
world and astronomical events.

The Mayans knew that nothing ever happens by "chance" in the
Universe, even though it often seems like it from a narrow human,
temporal experiential perspective. The Mayans knew that everything
happens in cycles of varying lengths, cycles that correspond
precisely to past and future cosmic and world events.

Many of these events are the result of the one factor common to
everything in the Universe without exception; Energy, which can
manifest at any level from the Universal to the individual.

This is why Astrology, and I do not mean the "horoscopes" of the
tabloids, I mean genuine astrology, is so significant, charting as
it does the effects of a confluence of Energy being prevalent at the
time of arrival on Earth, and which has so much influence over our
physical life. Energy is everything!

The ancient Maya knew this, and were able to observe the effects of
these confluences and events, and thus, with their seemingly
amazing mathematical abilities, track future events.

The Maya had several calendars of varying lengths, the most
significant of which were the "Short Count" and the "Long Count".

The Short Count is compiled by combining the "tzolkin cycle" with
the solar year and the Venus cycle of 584 days, thus generating
short periods of 13, 52 and 104 years.

It is however the "Long Count" cycle that is of the most interest,
the end of which is also the end of all Mayan calendars.

The Long Count is derived from nested cycles of days multiplied at
each level by the key Mayan number, 20, resulting in the
following periods:

1 Kin which is a day
20 Uinal
360 Tun
7200 Katun
144000 Baktun

The only deviation to multiplying by 20 is the tun level
where the uinal period is instead multiplied by 18 for the 360 day
tun.

The Maya used this counting system to track an unbroken sequence of
days from the time it was inaugurated.

Long Count dates are separated by dots. For example: 6.19.19.0.0
equals 6 baktuns, 19 katuns, 19 tuns, 0 uinals and 0 days. Each
baktun has 144000 days, each katun has 7200 days, and so on.

If we add up all the values, 6.19.19.0.0 indicates a total of
1007640 days have elapsed since the Zero Date of 0.0.0.0.0. The
much discussed 13-baktun cycle is completed 1872000 days, 13
baktuns, after 0.0.0.0.0. This period of time is the Mayan "Great
Cycle" of the Long Count.

Each Baktun has corresponded with a major cycle on Earth,
which are too extensive and complex to go into here. Suffice it to
say that The 13 baktuns and 20 katuns collectively represent a
perfect fractal of the 260 unit 4th dimensional timing matrix
spread out as a chronotopology that we simply call "history".

Each katun represents one of 260 kin. The baktuns represent a set
of morphogenetic fields, each with 20 lesser waves rising in a
pitch of climax during the 13th and final baktun 1620 CE to 2012 CE.

This final baktun represents the time where, driven my the ego,
materialism and money, "history" and therefore mankind has reached
a saturation point, where "history" simply has nowhere else to go.
And it is this event that was always charted precisely by the Mayan
Long Count calendar to coincide with the end of this great cycle.

Historically it can be demonstrated that every quarter of the long
cycle, approximately every 6400 years, there has been a major
catastrophic Earth event for the last three such quarters. These
include great floods, earthquakes, and other global events. Such
events are documented as the "great flood", the destruction of
Atlantis, etc.. The final quarter is December 21, 2012.

It should also be mentioned that other mathematical systems,
notably the Chinese I-Ching, which was also once used as a
calendrical system, also point to the year 2012, as do other lesser
known systems it seems.

So these are the calendrical and mathematical considerations, but
there are other considerations.

On December 21, 2012 there will be a galactic alignment of the
"galactic equator", and what the Mayans refer to as "The Sacred
Tree", with our star, the Sun, at the very centre of this alignment.

This in itself is no coincidence. This alignment has on our solar
system astrological, astronomical and Universal considerations, and
in particular the corresponding Energy effects both on Earth and
indeed the entire solar system.

So that, in extremely basic terms in the interest of keeping it
simple for now is the basics of the math and associated events from
a historical and chronological perspective relative to the Earth
space-time continuum.

The question is; what does it all really mean for us?

The honest answer is we do not really know at this stage at least
in the process, although I and others are very much tracking it.

There is however too much data and historical evidence to conclude
that nothing will happen. The only question is in what form will it
take; the possibilities including physical, Energy or Spiritual, or
indeed a combination of of all of these.

If we look at solid evidence we can observe the following factors:

Schumann Cavity Resonance: The Schumann Resonance can be likened to
the "heartbeat" of Earth. Scientifically it is due to the space
between the surface of the Earth and the conductive ionosphere
acting as a waveguide. The limited dimensions of the earth cause
this waveguide to act as a resonant cavity for electromagnetic
waves in the extra low frequency ELF band.

Historically the Schumann Resonance has held steady at a frequency
of around 7.83Hz, however in recent years Schumann Resonance has
increased to as high as 12Hz, the highest possible believed to be
13Hz.

Earth Magnetic Field: The magnetic field of the earth gives rise to
the magnetic poles as used for navigation purposes. This magnetic
effect is caused by Earth behaving like a giant elecro-magnet
caused by the molten iron core and the rotation of the Earth.

The magnetic field of Earth has been progressively reducing over the
years, and in fact appear to be doing so proportional to Schumann
Resonance although they may not be directly connected.

Evidence of this can be seen by the fact that some sea mammals such
as dolphins, porpoises an whales use the magnetic poles for
navigation purposes, and there has been a large increase in these
creatures going off-course and beaching themselves.

Finally, extinctions of species on Earth is 100 to 1000 times
higher than the historical average, being greater than at any time
in fact since the last dinosaur extinction 65 million years ago.

So what does the future hold for us?

The truth is we still do not know. Everything I have summarised
today could be a series of coincidences or they could all converge
to point to some major world event. We just do not know and there
is certainly no value in speculation.

It would be totally inappropriate to state for example, as some
are, that "the world will end in 2012". The entire scenario is far
too complex to make sweeping, dogmatic statements of that nature.

Although some event seems likely, we do not know the scale of such
an event, how it will manifest or how it will affect the planet,
humans and all life, or how long the entire process will take.

One thing we do know beyond all doubt is that everyone will survive
and be the better for the experience; the only question is in what
form,
physical, Astral or Spiritual.

One thing is clear however, everyone has a window of opportunity to
change for the better. The next few years could be spent evaluating
your life, your relationship with fellow man, animals and the
planet, and then taking the appropriate steps to become as aligned
and prepared as possible for any coming events.

Earth has been a major learning opportunity, an opportunity to
evolve. if, and I do say if the physical planet is to come to an
end, then what happens next on an individual level will depend
entirely on where you are Spiritually at that precise time.
Consequently there has never been a better time to place yourself
in the best possible light in preparation for whatever is to come.

This is one of the major reason I wrote Our Ultimate Reality, which
sets out these vital steps.

Again though, and this is most important,every single person
will survive. We are all immortal, Divine Beings, aspects of the
Supreme Being, and our true destiny is far greater than the
temporal learning experience of this planet we call "Earth", our
lives upon which are as the blink of an eye in comparison to all
eternity.

Everyone, sooner or later, regardless of this Earth event we call
"2012" will move on to sphere of life and reality that are glorious
beyond the remotest comprehension of Earthly man, and that is the
true destiny and objective of everyone on the sacred path back to
The Source, The Prime Creator, some simply call "God".

Those who have Our Ultimate Reality, and many of you receiving this
newsletter today, will have read my chapter on "Psychics".

Many of you who know me, or read the forums, will already know of my
considerable and increasing concern at what has become nothing less
than a disgrace, and probably the biggest single scam on the
Internet today. I am referring to the so called "psychic hotlines".

10 years ago it was very difficult to locate and verify a person
with genuine psychic powers that could be reliably and accurately
used for others, and who would actually be willing to provide a
"psychic reading".

Such a quest would involve the making of many enquiries in the
right places, obtaining the names of psychics by referral and
recommendation from others, following up references and finally,
only after everything is confirmed as genuine, contacting the
psychic and booking a "sitting". Even then the wait for a sitting
could often be weeks or even months for an exceptional psychic.

Then along came the Internet and all of a sudden there appears
thousands of "psychics", usually with mystical sound names like
"Clairvoyant Clare", "Tarot Tom", "Psychic Sue", "Mystic Maisie",
or even names like "Family Speciality Psychic", not to mention
numerous other totally contrived and very pretentious names.

These people can be found on "psychic hotline" web pages, listed
with their premium rate telephone numbers costing up to $5 per
minute or more, along with a mystical looking photograph, which is
often fake, and tempting you will all manner of claims and promises.

Can this situation be real?

The answer is; absolutely not! There is no question about it.

In my view, from my own research and analysis, many of these so
called "live hotline psychics" are nothing more than opportunists,
con people and charlatans who have discovered the perfect scam. It
is the perfect scam because it is the only scam that cannot be
conclusively proven one way or the other.

I have discovered during my extensive research into this matter
that many of these people are out-of-work actors and similar who
have been trained in the art known as "Cold Reading".

Here is the official dictionary definition of "Cold Reading":

"Cold reading is a technique used by salespeople, interrogators,
hypnotists, psychics, graphologists, palmists, astrologers, con-men
etc. to convince another person that they know more about them than
they actually do. Generally, the cold reader will make a series of
vague statements, will observe the subject's reactions, and then
will refine the original statements according to those reactions.
The technique is sometimes applied in order to falsely convince an
audience that the reader possesses psychic abilities".

This is a very accurate reflection of Internet "psychic hotlines".

Others are people who simply register with a psychic hotline
service, give themselves a glitzy name and fake photo, and simply
answer the phone at home whenever it rings for another client.

Here is how it works: the dollars per minte premium rate telephone
numbers listed on Internet websites are automatically re-directed
to the house of the psychic reader, who will then simply pick up
the call whenever a client phones.

Very often these "psychics" are totally unprepared, because they
really do not know whether it is a client phoning, or simply a
friend or relative.

So these so called "psychics" are often doing the housework, making
meals or even tending to a very young child when the phone rings
from another psychic hotline client. How can anyone, even with
genuine psychic abilities, suddenly, at a moments notice, switch
from doing one of these,often stressful tasks to providing an
accurate, thoughtful, and sensitive "psychic reading".

The answer quite simply is they cannot. Yet the client is still
expected to pay dollars per minute for the privilege with
absolutely no recourse when the "reading turns out to be a total
sham.

Worse, the "psychic hotline" industry has become so huge, with
billions of dollars at statek, that the operators of the "psychic
hotline" services have sometimes become little more than pimps.

They recruit teams of "psychic readers", without any verification
of their psychic abilities, and then put huge pressure on them to
"perform" and make money. They use all manner of tactics to ensure
their "team" makes plenty of money for them, much of which is
similar to "vice", including the "client" being a secondary
consideration, only existing as a source of profit.

Underperforming, in terms of profit, "psychic readers" are
punished, often financially or by being placed down the "ratings"
where they will receive fewer calls from clients, and getting paid
less for the calls they do receive.

So there is always considerable pressure on "psychic readers" to
place the emphasis on profit raher than the needs of the client,
many of who are vulnerable, desperate and often grieving for a lost
loved one.

These so called "psychic hotline services" are nothing more than
modern day, electronic "fortune telling", but instead of being
treated as light entertainment, they are taken very seriously.

Of course, if they are approached from this perspective, for
example for pure entertainment, or just to have a chat with someone
to make you feel better when you feel you cannot speak with someone

could often be weeks or even months for an exceptional psychic.

Then along came the Internet and all of a sudden there appears
thousands of "psychics", usually with mystical sound names like
"Clairvoyant Clare", "Tarot Tom", "Psychic Sue", "Mystic Maisie",
or even names like "Family Speciality Psychic", not to mention
numerous other totally contrived and very pretentious names.

These people can be found on "psychic hotline" web pages, listed
with their premium rate telephone numbers costing up to $5 per
minute or more, along with a mystical looking photograph, which is
often fake, and tempting you will all manner of claims and promises.

Can this situation be real?

The answer is; absolutely not! There is no question about it.

In my view, from my own research and analysis, many of these so
called "live hotline psychics" are nothing more than opportunists,
con people and charlatans who have discovered the perfect scam. It
is the perfect scam because it is the only scam that cannot be
conclusively proven one way or the other.

I have discovered during my extensive research into this matter
that many of these people are out-of-work actors and similar who
have been trained in the art known as "Cold Reading".

Here is the official dictionary definition of "Cold Reading":

"Cold reading is a technique used by salespeople, interrogators,
hypnotists, psychics, graphologists, palmists, astrologers, con-men
etc. to convince another person that they know more about them than
they actually do. Generally, the cold reader will make a series of
vague statements, will observe the subject's reactions, and then
will refine the original statements according to those reactions.
The technique is sometimes applied in order to falsely convince an
audience that the reader possesses psychic abilities".

This is a very accurate reflection of Internet "psychic hotlines".

Others are people who simply register with a psychic hotline
service, give themselves a glitzy name and fake photo, and simply
answer the phone at home whenever it rings for another client.

Here is how it works: the dollars per minte premium rate telephone
numbers listed on Internet websites are automatically re-directed
to the house of the psychic reader, who will then simply pick up
the call whenever a client phones.

Very often these "psychics" are totally unprepared, because they
really do not know whether it is a client phoning, or simply a
friend or relative.

So these so called "psychics" are often doing the housework, making
meals or even tending to a very young child when the phone rings
from another psychic hotline client. How can anyone, even with
genuine psychic abilities, suddenly, at a moments notice, switch
from doing one of these,often stressful tasks to providing an
accurate, thoughtful, and sensitive "psychic reading".

The answer quite simply is they cannot. Yet the client is still
expected to pay dollars per minute for the privilege with
absolutely no recourse when the "reading turns out to be a total
sham.

Worse, the "psychic hotline" industry has become so huge, with
billions of dollars at statek, that the operators of the "psychic
hotline" services have sometimes become little more than pimps.

They recruit teams of "psychic readers", without any verification
of their psychic abilities, and then put huge pressure on them to
"perform" and make money. They use all manner of tactics to ensure
their "team" makes plenty of money for them, much of which is
similar to "vice", including the "client" being a secondary
consideration, only existing as a source of profit.

Underperforming, in terms of profit, "psychic readers" are
punished, often financially or by being placed down the "ratings"
where they will receive fewer calls from clients, and getting paid
less for the calls they do receive.

So there is always considerable pressure on "psychic readers" to
place the emphasis on profit raher than the needs of the client,
many of who are vulnerable, desperate and often grieving for a lost
loved one.

These so called "psychic hotline services" are nothing more than
modern day, electronic "fortune telling", but instead of being
treated as light entertainment, they are taken very seriously.

Of course, if they are approached from this perspective, for
example for pure entertainment, or just to have a chat with someone
to make you feel better when you feel you cannot speak with someone

hello to the people

yesterday morning i woke up directy to the projection process, i could feel a segment of my brain throbbing and the more i focused on it, the more intense the process became, (e.g noises and vibrations) but i changed position to my back and i couldnt get it again, i beleive i definatly would have projected if i never moved.

i think Frank has spoke about this "brain method" before.

so on the night i decided to skip my usual energy raising work but instead, focus on my brain and try to "look" for that part of my brain which triggers the process. I never actually got it but still, after about 5-10 minuites i felt intense vibrations and energy surges which lasted for about 20 minuites, which is much quicker than my usual process - THEN i did energy raising etc

other people should try using M.B.A and focus on the brain, it got me into a trance 40 minuites quicker than how i used to do it. Hold your focus there until all of a sudden the vibrations just *start*


once i am in this intense vibration stage, how do actually get out??? the rope method seemed harder when i feel the vibrations.

But the page atteched after this message or so at the end is very important in explaining how Robert Monroe came to go from OBE to phasing.

I don't think there is much doubt, if indeed there ever was, that phasing is the future of Astral exploration, just as Monroe discovered for himself.

His discovery meant that consciousness transcended the physical boundaries of time and space. Thus, the term "out of body" was simply too limiting. "Phasing" is the term he introduced to encompass these new realizations.

All of us know the meaning of phasing through personal experience. We merely take the phenomenon for granted. For example, as you continue to read you might become aware of the position of your physical body. You may simultaneously be aware of your surroundings, including such variables as room temperature sounds and smells, even the intensity of available light. Perhaps you are even thinking about what you will experience as you listen to Wave VII exercises – all while you are reading and integrating the words on this page. Your ability to do so is simply your consciousness phasing in and out of multiple levels of awareness.

Your consciousness can and does operate simultaneously in multiple levels of awareness. It may be directed toward the past, the present, or the future. It may be focused in this reality or others. You alone are responsible for how you choose to focus your conscious awareness. The concept of phasing one's consciousness can explain all paranormal or psychic phenomena from Lucid Dreaming or Remote Viewing to Near Death Experiences. Your ability to phase is so inherent that it may have escaped your notice, yet the potential applications for this remarkable ability are far-reaching.

The purpose of Wave VII is to assist you in applying this natural ability. The beginning exercises take place in Focus 12, a state of expanded awareness in Locale 1. These exercises are designed and scripted directly from Bob's original explorations in what he then called the out-of-body state. In the process of working with these exercises, you will become familiar with the "second body." The second body (also referred to as the energy body) is actually the field of energy that surrounds the physical body.

With practice, you will learn how to expand your energy body, moving it progressively away from the location of your physical body. You will remember how to manipulate and control your energy body through the projection (or phasing) of your consciousness. After you become familiar with the vibrations of your second body, you will have the opportunity to explore the far reaches of physical reality in Locale 1.

The Gateway Affirmation has long been an integral component of the Monroe Institute's residential programs. In Wave VII, you will learn to ask for help and assistance from those whose wisdom and experience is equal to or greater than your own.

Trust that your experiences are exactly as they should be for you at the time. Your heart-felt appreciation is an appropriate means to acknowledge any assistance given you. It is, therefore, recommended that you take time to express your gratitude following each exercise.

The final exercises of Wave VII are designed to guide you beyond the boundaries of physical reality. You will journey to Locale 2, which awaits beyond the bridge that connects physical time-space reality with other dimensions and other levels of awareness. Focus 21 is the bridge to other states of expanded awareness. At this point, you will be a true explorer, moving into realms of awareness we will not attempt to specify here. Indeed, such realms are often indescribable. Those who have traveled this path frequently return to physical reality with few, if any, words to recount their experiences. As Bob would say, "Now that you have the tools, find out for yourself."

Bob was also fond of saying "Only you can change you." It is the significance and meaning that you give to your experiences that will help you achieve personal growth. Trust yourself throughout these exercises and know that a greater part of you is always there to help and assist you.

Would-be projectors often make the mistake of thinking OBE technique starts with meditation. It really doesn't. OBE prep work requires much more than lying down, meditating, and doing a few "techniques." If that were all it took to OBE, we'd all be flying all over the place. And obviously, we're not.

Due to popular demand, I've decided to write this essay on what has worked for me in the past. I am by no means an "expert" projector; but I do succeed every now and then, which is about as much as the majority of us can ever hope for.

I came upon OBE phenomena seemingly by accident. I say "seemingly," because I believe there are no accidents, and on some level I must have been aware of what I was doing when I had my first conscious OBE several years ago. My first OBEs were involuntary and terrifying. Once I found Astraldynamics and AstralPulse.com, it all made sense and I felt much better.

The first thing I read about OBE was Mr. Robert Bruce's Treatise on OBE ( http://www.astralpulse.com/guides/oobe/Treatise.PDF ) I've also read Mr. Bruce's Astraldynamics and Monroe's series of books on AP/OBE. I didn't look to them for technique as much as I did for validation; i.e., "Yes! That's how I feel when it happens to me! Thank god I'm normal!" But he does provide a lot of technique that you may find useful. It was also wonderful to read about where others have taken their lives as a result of OBE/AP phenomena. At any rate, the so-called "techniques" I post here are my own, and not copied from any book or website. I hope you find them useful.

This essay is written from the perspective of a middle-aged woman who lives in the U.S.A . . . I can't help that! You may tailor any of my suggestions to suit your gender, ethnicity or lifestyle, and they'll probably still work. I've cut-and-pasted my many posts on this subject into this one essay, so some of it might be familiar to you!

This is where it all begins: Your life.

I. HOW BADLY DO YOU WANT TO LEAVE YOUR BODY, REALLY?

Many of you are new to this Forum so don't know that as of 2002, I was having pretty regular spontaneous OBEs into the Real Time Zone (RTZ), which is a little different than Astral Projection (AP). I didn't fully understand my experiences until I found AstralPulse, and I am so grateful to Robert Bruce for this forum.

Anyway, as of August 2002 I'd been feeling pretty frustrated with my spiritual development , as I'd received guidance from a psychic that 2002 was going to be my Big Year, magically speaking. Well, I became aware of my OBE abilities in 2002 but that was about it (I think I'd actually been hoping for thunder and lightning, a crown, a Big Title, and a pony .)

Then it hit me: I hadn't done the work the psychic told me to do . She said I was supposed to work on my house. She didn't specify whether she meant my real house or my spiritual house, but since one can be a metaphor for the other . . . anyway, when I finally GOT IT, I decided to take a year's sabbatical from conscious OBEs, in order to work on my house. Well, the house gave me plenty to work on: Shortly after my decision not to OBE for a year, my roof leaked and my ceiling came crashing down . It's been a year's odyssey of new roof, new insulation, new ceiling, new paint, new carpet, a reinforced foundation, reinforced subfloor, laminate flooring . . . new drapes . . . a 401K loan and a refinanced mortgage . . . need I go on?

So by August, which wrapped up my one-year sabbatical, I was ready to consciously OBE again. But could I? I seemed to have been able to turn it off simply by willing it. That's my magical gift/curse, by the way: My formidable WILL (friends and family call it stubborn). So, in theory, I should have been able to turn it back on again.

Here is my theory: The key is WILL. I suspect that MOST people are not aware of their projections because deep down, they don't WANT to be aware of them. Because the reality would be too much to bear, for many, many reasons. Bringing that level of Awareness back down to the day-to-day requires you to be . . . shall we say, responsible, or faithful to that level of Awareness? "Whew," we think, "too much work." Our souls travel at night, but we black it out by morning.

And most people don't have the WILL to consciously OBE/AP. Most of us gave up meditating after 30 minutes of twiddling thumbs, right? Maybe it lasted a week, and we didn't OBE, so we gave up. Be honest everyone . . . how many of us have kept up our OBE practices faithfully for . . . say . . . even one year? Faithfully and regularly, I mean. Hardly any, I bet, because mundane life simply takes over. But remember, WE WILLED THAT YOUR MUNDANE LIFE WOULD TAKE OVER. We meant it. We're not aware that we meant it, but we meant it!

Ask yourself something. How badly do you want to OBE, really? It's OK to be fascinated by the phenomenon, but not want to make the effort. Really it is OK! Look around you: what does your lifestyle say about what you really want? It's your persistent, long-term efforts at OBE are what show you're really serious about OBE/AP. Your serious efforts at doing OTHER things means you're serious about doing something else.

If after thinking about this you still want to make a go at it, read on.

II. RELAX!

Total relaxation is key to the OBE experience. Meditation can help us achieve relaxation, but to be honest, we'd probably need to meditate 12 or more hours a day before we got to the mental state we should be in to OBE, given the stresses of modern society. Most people can hardly squeeze in a few minutes per week, which is better than nothing, but not good enough if we really want to OBE. So we need to do more than just meditate.

It's very important that we lead peaceful, gentle, relaxed lives if we are to make a practice of deliberately leaving our bodies on a regular basis. Given this basic truth, then, what are the sources of stress in YOUR life?

Your job?
Your family?
Poor health?
Lack of money?
Mean people?
Rejection?

Make a list, because you are going to need to take care of all of them if you are going to OBE. And by take care of them I don't necessarily mean "fix the problem." Some problems can't be fixed. But you can change your APPROACH to your so-called "problems." You might have to do any or all of these things before you can truly relax:

Forgive your parents.
Forgive your siblings.
Forgive everyone who ever hurt your feelings.
Finish school to have more free time.
Quit your crappy job and get a more meaningful or less stressful one, even if it means making less money.
Set boundaries with your spouse and/or children.
Move to a more peaceful, affordable place.
Learn to love (or at least accept) those things that annoy you.
Quit some outer activities (clubs, etc.), in order to do more inner work.
Spend less time on the computer: posting messages on Astralpulse, playing video games, instant-messaging, etc.
Face the problems you've been avoiding.
Less time partying, more time in quiet contemplation.
Change your diet.
See a doctor about that thing.
Get 8 hours of sleep per night.
Swallow your pride and go get some therapy.
Turn off the TV.


When you make your list of stressors and are faced with the awesome realization that THIS IS A LOT OF WORK, refer to section I titled, How Badly Do You Want to Leave Your Body, Really? I tell you it's worth it. I don't need to meditate much anymore (in the sit-down sense) because I've cleared my mind of anxieties and resentments and superficial fluff over a period of many, many years. My life still has its normal stresses, but in general I lead a peaceful, gentle life. I'm mostly a solitary person, with the exception of my daughter, who I have part time, and my four cats, who don't ask for much.

I still recommend meditation and yoga anyway, even if you never plan to OBE!!!!!!!!!!! They are great for your health and your overall sense of well-being. They can make you feel very relaxed. Also, you might want to try:

Keeping a journal
New Energy Ways (NEW, from Astraldynamics)
Loving your pet(s)
Playing with your kids, not just "taking care of" them
Making crazy art (the point is to express yourselves, not to be good at it)
Dancing
Walking around the block
Napping
Reading
Calling a friend who makes you happy
Playing sports
Gardening
Cooking
Sex with someone you love
Anything that helps you relieve stress, as long as it's legal and harms none

III. A LIFE OF GENTEEL POVERTY

Have you ever noticed that the most spiritual people in the world have very little money? This is no mistake. Meditate on this! How much do you really need to be happy, really? I'm not asking you to throw on sackcloth and sell flowers on a street corner or join a commune. I'm not suggesting that life in a sweatshop ought to be fulfilling, because I know it's not. Rather, I am advocating a life of quiet gentility. Get a good education so you may find decent, meaningful work, a small home, a sensible car (or public transport), a steady, modest inflow of cash to pay the bills and save for retirement, and health insurance. Simplify your life, my friends! If you can't afford a simple life where you live now, MOVE to a place where you can afford one. Join forces with like-minded people to save money. Be creative!

Being poor does not mean living in a slum, scrubbing other people's toilets, or standing at the bottom of a shabby staircase screaming STELLA! at the top of your lungs in your undershirt. By saying "no" to overconsumption and shallowness, choosing instead an affordable lifestyle and saving money for that inevitable rainy day, you will find peace and – ta da! - RELAXATION. Forget "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous," buy (or better yet, sign out from your public library) The Complete Tightwad Gazette: Promoting Thrift as a Viable Alternative Lifestyle, by Amy Dacyczyn.

Notice that my suggested stress-relieving activities in Chapter II are free, or at the very least, cheap. For instance, nothing brings me more pleasure than a good nap, a cup of tea in my grandmother's china teacup, and a good book on a quiet Sunday afternoon. You will choose your own free-or-inexpensive pleasures.

IV. AMPLE AMOUNTS OF FREE TIME

You need free time to deliberately OBE. Sure, stress and sleep deprivation might bring on an involuntary OBE now and then, but these are disturbing experiences that you can't control. So take it slow and deliberate, in your free time when you are well rested. That way, your body won't fall asleep on you when you practice!

We all have only 24 hours in an earth-time day. People say "I don't have the time!" but for the most part that's a load of crap, even if you're a single parent. Almost everyone wastes loads of time without realizing it. In America, families watch hours and hours of TV a day and say they "don't have time" to do things. Please!

Since you'll never get more than 24 hours per day, we make our free time by rearranging our lives and saying "no" sometimes.

Here are a few ways you can rearrange your life:

Give your unneeded possessions to charity. Find efficient storage for the things you decide to keep. No more rummaging around!
Find a job close to home, and reduce your travel.
Shop in bulk, so as to make fewer trips.
Delegate household tasks to family members.
End unproductive or abusive relationships.
If in school, set your class schedule in order to maximize your free time, and minimize time spent commuting or running around.

Here are a few things to say no to:

Indulgence in hate, anger, annoyance, offense, and depression, including complaining, pointless arguments, plotting revenge, and flame emails.
Junk mail. Just throw it out unread.
Spending time with people who anger, annoy or depress you, even if it's a Friday night and you've got no one else to go out with.
Mindless eating and puttering around
Chaos in your home (a massive time waster!)
Too much television
Too much time on the computer
Unsolicited sales calls.
Constantly rearranging your "stuff." Get rid of stuff.
Any compulsive activities (spending, cleaning, drinking, smoking, etc.)

By now some of you are probably thinking, what the heck does all this have to do with OBE? I'll tell you. There are a few VERY GOOD reasons why I've written these first few chapters that describe the REAL groundwork that is the foundation for a peaceful, controlled, out-of-body experience:

First, a conscious, deliberate OBE comes from a state of total relaxation. Some people are "naturals" at OBE and therefore do not need to "work" on relaxation so much. But this essay is meant for beginners, for those of you who are not "naturals" and for those of you who have unpredictable or involuntary OBE experiences. Meaning, MOST people out there!

People with freaked-out lives, festering resentments, screwed-up finances, and poor health find it difficult to relax. It's as simple as that. Selling your soul to a stressful career, or multiple jobs, in order to feed your greed (not to mention a mountain of debt from buying junk you don't need) is not going to relax you, and it's not going to leave you with enough time to practice OBE. A half hour of meditation every now and then is not going to fix your life. You need to CHANGE your lives so that you may relax and find peace, so that you may OBE peacefully.

Some people project when they're sleep-deprived or ill. These experiences tend to be miserable and exhausting, and near impossible to control. Wouldn't you rather be well-rested and relaxed the day it happens for you!

Most importantly, OBE practice can lead to lucid dreaming and/or Astral experiences. When you find yourself lucid in these dreamspaces, what you think and believe will shape your experiences. Festering resentments and fears will send you straight to the Lower Astral, where you'll face demons, spiders, mean dragons, assorted negs and such. It's enough to make one vow never to go back! Therefore, it is best to develop a clear mind and a peaceful soul.


V. NOW IT'S TIME

If you've actually made it to this chapter without giving up in disgust or annoyance, you show both patience and promise. If you're actually in the process of completing the action items highlighted in red, you're REALLY ready!

Things move along for me very well when I spend a lot of time alone, in silence, in "inbetween" states. Neither here-nor-there, but always aware. Liminal, it is called. It means "at the threshold." Many people call this state of mind "Trance." I meditate on fog, for instance, as it is inbetween rain and not-rain. Those moments just before, or just after, thunderstorms. Doorways, bridges, the forest's edge . . . . think of your own liminal places and meditate on them. When you are in a liminal state, sharpen your awareness of the fact that you are now "inbetween."

Celtic harp music enhances my mood. I also use theta-wave tapes and the Gateway series. I also burn incense when I do my work; it sends a signal to my brain that I'm working on OBE.

I want to recommend to everyone to practice OBE in a slightly sitting state; for instance, in a reclining chair. Laying on a bed is a sure way to fall asleep. However, I must confess that ALL of my OBEs have occurred while in bed, either laying down or propped up on my pillows, so even I don't practice what I preach in this regard. So, since this essay is about what WORKS for me, I'll tell you what I usually do:

A. I lay on my back, with a pillow under my knees to relieve back pressure. I squirm around to crack my back vertebrae. In fact, come to think of it, I crack every knuckle I have! I wiggle my fingers and toes, relax, and settle in.

B. I fall asleep on my back. If I roll over in my sleep, that's OK.

C. At some point in the evening . . . perhaps one REM cycle . . . I sort of wake up. I am half awake, half asleep. At the threshold! (remember "liminal places!"). I may get up to use the bathroom and then attempt a projection, or, I might just roll over and sink into a "vibration state," right then and there. Whatever I do, however, I keep that inbetween-state, rather than "wake up."

I will now go into specific detail about my pre-OBE states.


VI. THE PRE-VIBRATIONAL STATE

How to bring on the vibrations? You could try willing them, but only if you are the liminal space between sleep and awake. Willing it while you're just lying there won't work! It helps if you've felt the vibrations before, so if you haven't, perhaps it's better just to wait for them to come on their own. They WILL come. The trick is staying awake for them!!!!!!

The reason many of us botch our OBE attempts at the point of exit (presuming we initially have the deep relaxation thing down) it that we're getting all excited over the shifting of our energy bodies - - because it does feel pretty cool - - - thinking, "Is this a vibration? Oh boy! Is it finally going to happen? That very excitement causes us to lose the deep relaxation needed for the OBE exit.

Work often on trance states . . . go as deep as you can, as often as you can, at times when you are well rested. It can be an ongoing struggle staying AWARE during trance. Your awareness is key. When you sleep, your consciousness will leave your body on its own . . . unfortunately, you are unconscious and miss the whole thing! By working on CONSTANT AWARENESS you can be "asleep and awake" at the same time.

As for me, I still struggle with staying aware during induced trance states. Most of the time I drift off in a fog and nothing happens. But then one day, SHAZAM, there I am, awake in my head . . . but I'm leaving my body behind.

I've tried a different technique with my deliberate OBE attempts: I meditate/trance with the intention of feeling my energy body shift and wobble, WITHOUT trying to push myself into an OBE. I get SO used to the shifty feeling that it absolutely BORES me to death and it ceases to cause an excited or expectant reaction. Also, it takes the pressure off. If I have an OBE, great! If I don't, well, I wasn't trying to have one in the first place.

So here's what it feels like to me BEFORE the vibrations happen:

A. I'm sleeping or resting. I'm in that in-between state of sleep/awake. I trance very easily (it's both a blessing and a curse, no one wants to ride in my car when I'm driving!), so I rarely have to work at getting in the right space. Suffice it to say I assume the position for an OBE; i.e., flat on my back.

B. I feel my energy-body start to shift. Imagine what it must feel like to be a hard boiled egg when someone is peeling off your shell . . . something feels as though it is separating. Sometimes it feels like a little wobble or a flutter. Wobbly is a good word. Most of the wobbling/shifting is in my UPPER body, from my upper chest up to the top of my head. Since I'm laying absolutely still it makes no sense that I feel as though I'm moving . . . it really does FEEL as though I have separated from my body just a LITTLE bit. Sometimes I even get a little sick to my stomach! When this happens I try to lay absolutely still and act really, really bored by the phenomenon. "Ho hum, here I go . . ."

Please note that I often botch it at this point. Moving the body, or even THINKING about one's physical body will end the experience. Even thoughts such as "I'd better not think about my body!" will ruin it. Turn around negative thoughts such as "I'd better not" into positive ones, such as "OK I'm moving along, whatever . . . my mind is relaxed . . . ho hum, here I go . . . I'm waiting . . . whatever . . . I'm waiting, I'm waiting . . . my mind is relaxed, things just moving along . . . ." Positive thoughts will keep your mind off what you shouldn't be doing.

C. If you are in an uncomfortable position when you start to feel wobbly/shifty, LIE STILL, JUST PUT UP WITH IT, you can ask your friends to massage your sore body parts tomorrow. Believe it or not, the wobbly feeling doesn't last very long, just a few seconds for me when I go off spontaneously. If I move a muscle, I've blown it!

D. Now, here is the truly tricky part. I'm of two minds here (I believe in the OBE world, this counts as a pun). Because I know what brings on a vibration for me if I'm calm and deliberate: When I want to bring on the vibrations faster, I imagine sinking, and that seems to bring them on. I feel myself going through my mattress. It's always prolonged my vibration experience, but my success at OBE using this technique has been spotty, probably because these efforts cause some sort of tension in my body. So if you find yourself "wobbly" or "fluttery" or "shifty" and the vibrations don't happen after 15 seconds or so, you might want to try FEELING (not visualizing) yourself sinking deep into your bed or your chair as though someone were pressing down upon you, and pressing down HARD, without letting up. Sometimes I think, "DOWN . . . . DOWN . . . . DOWN . . . . . DOWN .. . . . DOWWWNNNN . .. . . . . . . DOWWWWNNN . . ."

E. Then AGAIN (and here is my second opinion on the subject), you might want to do NOTHING. NADA. ZIPPO. I call this the NON TECHNIQUE TECHNIQUE because trying to do something might break your relaxation and ruin the experience. "Letting" an OBE happen, in a zen kind of way, seems to work so much better. Of course that is little consolation to folks who've been trying for years. Of course, if you've been trying and trying with doing nothing and nothing doesn't work, try sinking.


VII. THE VIBRATIONS

The vibrations are the point of no return, in my opinion, so you do not have to "do" much at this point besides relax and take everything you feel/hear in stride, knowing that you are SAFE AND SOUND and that you are going to be all right no matter what!!!!!!
If you've never had an OBE before, the vibrations will probably feel like nothing you've ever felt before. In fact, if you feel tingling in your body and wonder if it's vibrations, I'm sorry, but it's not. If you are new to this, and you are feeling "mild" paralysis, you are most likely not ready for an OBE exit . . . although you ARE getting closer by meditating and working with trance. Keep it up!

REAL exit sensations are not "mild," in fact they can be downright alarming. During your first OBE's the vibrations will probably feel jarring to you, even upsetting. The trick is in not letting the sensations freak you out.

What do vibrations feel like? I feel sinking and vibrations, and hear roaring/buzzing, all at the same time. Sometimes I feel a lot of pressure on my chest, as though I am being pushed down onto the bed. I liken the vibrational state to lying on top of an unbalanced washing machine during the spin cycle. Or, perhaps an old 1800's Ford jalopy with a bad muffler. The experience is very noisy for me. And I am completely paralyzed. I cannot move.

According to Mr. Bruce, early projections seem to cause more of a ruckus than later ones. Once you've had several deliberate/successful OBEs, the exits quiet down. Come to think of it, over time, my vibrations HAVE become less intense for me. Right now I'd say they feel/sound more like a large buzzing plane flying low overhead. But that's after three years of spin-cycle intensity. As I became more proficient at OBE the vibrations calmed down a bit, and now it feels like a buzz, like I'm on a motorcycle ready to zip off somewhere.

My advice to newcomers to the OBE world: Expect a ruckus at first. That way you are less likely to freak out! Those with slight and controllable buzzing for vibrations should consider themselves LUCKY (or really, really advanced, my hat is raised to them!). The day I can feel a slight buzz in my spine and WOOOP! out I go . . . ah, that will be the day!


VIII. THE EXIT

My early OBEs were spontaneous and MOST unwelcome, until one day I thought, oh, what the heck, surrendered to the experience, and actually downloaded some good memories from a bonafide OBE.

These days, I have a problem with my excitement and my expectations ruining projection attempts. Even experienced OBE-ers have spotty success with deliberate OBE attempts. Toss your frustration aside and know you are in good company. But the first time I tried this "surrender technique," I'd failed at OBE many times. But once I figured it out, I projected FOUR TIMES in one night! Now my memories of them are sketchy and I have some ponderings about whether or not I experienced the same OBE more than one time (if that makes any sense), but . . . it worked!

(By the way, I also like to call my surrender technique "flopping." I flop like a rag doll - - - rag dolls have no bones or muscles, after all! The few times I've managed to flop entirely, I've had an OBE.)

SURRENDER TECHNIQUE: When you feel yourself going "down" or having projection vibrations, lose all tension in your body. Flop like a rag doll and send out a little prayer. It doesn't really matter to "whom" - - - you send out the prayer to the Being out there willing and waiting to help. It could be Jesus or God. It could be your higher self. It could be a spirit guide. Don't get too attached . . . keep an open mind. There is SOMEONE out there. Ask for help. Completely SURRENDER to the experience. Meaning, no expectations or desires allowed . . . just ask for help, and completely surrender to anything (and I mean anything) that might come from that help.

If you get this maneuver right, you may feel yourself floating upwards. You might even feel yourself yanked out of your body a little too abruptly - - but at least you'll be out!

The first time I was consciously "out," I was amazed at how absolutely REAL it was. I was myself! In my ghostly body! But I quickly remembered that Mr. Bruce had advised that novice projectors jump back in their bodies right quick, so as to remember the experience, so that's what I did.


IX. RE-ENTRY

In this peaceful reverie after the paralysis passes, my usually dark bedroom seems lit with flickering lights, almost as if someone sneaked into my bedroom and lit a bunch of tea candles and hid them around my room. In fact, the first time it happened, I thought I'd left candles lit and I rummaged about my room looking for them, getting REALLY confused . . . even more confused than I had been originally for just having an OBE without knowing it.

After a minute or two, the candelight effect goes away, and it all feels REAL over with.

Sometimes I have a cold head after re-entry. Sometimes I wrap my head in a blanket afterwards. But I almost always sleep well, and wake up refreshed.


X. EPILOGUE

Happy travels! Remember . . . find your inbetween state, stay aware at all times, work on it every day (or at least several times a week) and LET it happen. Once you know what it "feels" like, it is easier to engage in a variety of techniques to bring on that feeling. But you have to know what it feels like first! Getting to this point takes a LOT of patience, but in the end, it is all worth it.
