I know he is a controversial author to some regarding 'certain topics' but I will always be very grateful to him. He was the third author on OBE/AP I read back when I started this journey (around 2009/2010) after I had finished Buhlman's first book and the three Monroe books and it was him who gave me a new and interesting perspective on AP related energy work, techniques and views. And his then still active Astraldynamics forum also helped me a lot (even knew it before the Pulse).

I think that especially his work 'Astraldynamics' is considered a classic by now among APers, or will be in the future for sure.

If I remember correctly, wasn't it even him who coined and described the very term which is a namegiver for this forum -'Astral Pulse'? (I could be wrong on this though.)

Rest in Peace, Robert. You will be missed.

I was writing it fast so sorry for the many language mistakes. Updates might follow since this is another work (project) in progress now. Some edits done only regarding the formatting.

Preliminary Remarks

Recently I decided to take a break from my 'Retrievals' project (and book) since it did not work for a long time and many reasons anyway. I thought if I focus on something else the motivation will help me to get results again. And gosh was I right! It opened up to a lot of new lucid adventures within the span of a week.

My goal was to use the Void for access to the Akashic Records / Database. My chosen first target was to 'view' (note that this is important detail for later on - to 'see') scenes of the wedding day of my (maternal) grandparents because I am so fascinated by that vintage wedding photo (must have been around 1936/37 or so) placed on a cabinet in my parent's living room. I knew my grandmother as a child (til age of 9) but never my granddad who died in WW2.

I also wanted to 'view' historic world events, places or persons because I am indeed a kind of history geek. I love historic documentaries, no matter if they are 'official' ones (Romans, Greeks, Medieval, Asian, Egyptians, Prehistory, etc.) or more 'alternative' pre-history research (Atlantis, Lemuria, (pre-)Younger Dryas Impact times, including some Graham Hancock or the funnier Daeneken and 'Ancient Aliens' stuff, I gobble it all up).

This can be seen as Part II of my Void research five years after I made the post in 2018 although it also is about using the Void to access reality frames or/and databases and information or even knowledge. At least the latter that is my main intent. This is the start of a new journal for this project / experiment, since I expect more updates soon. You may comment in the other thread "The Void - Experiences & Discussions" if you like.

So without further ado, this is what happened in almost three consecutive (!) nights within the last week.

Night One: The Purple Hall Of Records

I get lucid flying and enter a gigantic hall but the entrance is not on the floor but in the middle of it with other exits and entrances. I keep flying straight forward towards the other side of that hall which is composed of a row of curtains veiling some great exits. It is remarkable that the athmosphere of this hall is still Void-like dark-ish but also filled with violet or purple light or mist a lot and the veil colours are also purple or blue-ish.

One of the great drapes (still 50 metres ahead of me) is kind of flapping in the wind and reveals what is behind it: Earth! I see the blue globe of it shortly before the veil closes again. I assume it to be kind of my target of gaining access to Earth (history) knowledge.

Still, instead of proceeding towards it I turn sideways and take another exit to explore first. I fly through some glass walled rooms where I see statues and stuff like it is a museum of sorts. A bit clueless turn to a guard who sits on a chair, an old man (human) and ask him 'What is this place called?'. I am surprised to get an almost straight answer:

'It is called 'Videntia', but that also depends on how the formation is done.'

I might have gone on a while flying but don't remember more.

Analysis

First about the word. It's recognizably Latin language, even during the experience I knew that. However, apart from common phrases (veni vidi vici, quad erat demonstrantum, etc.) I do not know any Latin not even basic.

The meaning of this word is thus proof to me that it was really given to me by a Higher Intelligence. It has to do with my quest for (akashic) knowledge. It is an inflected form (hence the guard's hint towards 'formation'?) of the Latin word 'videns'.

So we have observation leading to understanding = knowledge?

I wanted to 'view' the Akashic, that was my goal. Was it even the "hall" of records? Just a coscmic variant where Earth (history) is just one option to choose from. Were all other exits other programs / databases to access?

I concluded after this experience that this might have opened a great possibility to me. I decided to go on in this direction and to 'visit' this 'place' called 'Videntia' again and do it better next time.

Night Two - Diving Into The Globe

Two projections or lucid episodes that night actually. While the first is negligable I note it down for entertainment purpose because I find it quite funny, although painful at the same time.

I got lucid and started running around in a kind of education institution (probably university) and asking myself what I wanted to do. Yes, as it happens often to many projectors I got semi-lucid but forgot my goals! Didn't remember any of it! In my desperation, I even asked other (dream) characters if they knew what I wanted to do but they - being the NPCs they were - could not help me. I was annoyed since otherwise I was pretty clear in my mind. But forgetting the initial intent or target happens often to me!

Not much so is remembered of the second one but it is still significant to my quest. I was in the Void and then made the affirmation for 'Akasha' (not sure if I also already called for 'Videntia') and even the set target (Grandmother's wedding day). As a reaction by the Void I saw again Earth from above, first in a realistic way and then changed with strange 'alien' symbols on it. I do not remember any purple this time though. I decided to 'dive down' into the globe. It felt like a dense area, not sure if I was in a kind of ocean. I 'lost myself' in it and not more is remembered. I did not find my target. I probably lost lucidity again.

Analysis

Diving down was not a good idea it seems. My conclusion and interpretation later on was that the Globe (like the first time in the Videntia hall of records) is the top-level access point for Earth history's Akashic database. It is an interface. What I probably needed to do was to stay above it all as an impartial 'observer' (videns = observe!) and just 'focus' or 'zoom in' from there to 'view' my target. That zooming process must then be specific using the coordinates regarding A) time and B) space in order to 'view' the respective Akashic entry. How to do it? Just the intent will be enough and the 'system' database software will do the rest? No clue. I will have to find out.

Night Three - The Purple Void Cosmic Network

Again that night I had two projections.

I get lucid in the Void and see the green swirl before me which is a sign for me that the Void is ,ready' to react to me and in ,stand-by' mode. (See more about the 'swirls' or 'galaxies' as used basic language in my Void article).
I remember to call 'Videntia!'. And immediately the Void turns into a purple swirl! Purple! I then know that I am doing something right. I keep flying towards it and enter it like I did with the Earth globe before to find out what happens.
Turns out I am still in in a purplish but also 3-D-blackness network grid. A kind of tunnel system. Again there is lots of purple 'mist' but the walls seem black. I keep flying.
What I also see sometimes are silhouettes and contours of ,grey' alien types, mostly their heads. They just look at me, sometimes it is two or three, at times just one. They seemed to be ,symbolic' indicating some possibly gateway / exit points? I keep flying on regardless. I also then see some outlines of other beings but nothing particular to identify. The purple 'grey alien' shapes is what I remembered.
I do not remember where I ended up and might have lost lucidity after a while.

I had a second lucid projection later that night: Again I used the Void and the command 'Videntia' although I do not remember the gateway or if it was also purple again. However, this time I know what I am doing even better and remember my intent to get some (akashic) knowledge although I change the target: I demand to be shown another planet where I also had a life on in the past.
Immediatly I leave the Void and land inside a kind of ,installation' or building with signs at the wall or even ,graffitti'-like inscriptions or pictures on a white wall. It looks rather human culture and so I am baffled since I did not expect humans here. I am alone though and there are many openings I fly through into the daylight (Again as usual I am only a point of consciousness) and kind of (not sure how) land on the roof of this ,building'.
It is roundly shaped with several domes that have openings but it is not very high. I look down and there is a kind of sand or ,desert' area. The sand is reddish (feel reminded of Mars but could be also a desert area on Earth after all).
However, what baffles me most, there is a social gathering before this building and I see 50 or so people standing around some bar tables in a casual manner talking and having a drink or so. They look human completely. I do not remember the attire they wore or if I made out anything else that was kind of ,alien' to me.
The entire scene is rather ,mundane' and harmless. Before I can explore further from my vantage point or fly down or ask questions or whatever the experience ends. It must be noted though that it looked all very realistic and nothing about it was dream-like at all.

Analysis

I kind of encountered this 'alien' or 'grey' network aspect before. I will describe it more in my overall conclusion below. I am clueless and a bit disappointed about the second adventure. Yet it has to be noted again how hyper-realistic it felt.

Overall Conclusion

The colour purple:

First of all the recurring colour purple. It seems to indicate 'spiritual knowledge'. Plus it is of the highest Chakra and it might indeed be a 'higher level'. I really like this.

The 'Grey' information and/or travel network system:

Other experiences of mine hint to the fact that it really exists and can be used - at least by me. This is a bit frightening. Do I have connections to 'them'? Was I one of them in previous lives? Not sure. I need to accept the possibility.

I must have written it down but cannot find it anymore but as it happened I was travelling a network grid and the visuals were similar (at least Void-ish). However what I saw then was kind of funny: At the bottom left of my visual field I saw the head of a 'grey' again, just like it was the brand logo of a channel on a screen when you watch tv. It's as if it was kind of telling me: 'we own this but you can use it'.

Also regarding an information or telepathic network I had a lucid episode where I sensed I was watched by a Grey being 'logging' into the 'web'. I copy this from my old journal. I got lucid and I had a dialogue with an 'internal voice' (IV) answering my questions. I must have sensed the Grey being watching me in my dream life as being male, this explains the answer of IV:

Me: "Oh no, not one of them again!"
IV: "It's a woman."
Me: "A woman? Oh. I thought they were sex-less."
IV: "No."
Me: "What else? What does 'she' do?"
IV: "She logs on to the net sometimes."
Me: "Does she also incarnate as a human being (woman) here? Or is she even right now also in human form?"

I did not get an answer to my last question.

Not long before that event I already had met Greys who were watching me in the Void during a projection or even a 'higher vibrational level' (because that is what I aimed at!), quote from the same journal:

During another exit, I was 'blind' again but felt that I was hovering
'outside' of the window of my portal already. I grabbed sth that felt
like wooden posts, poles, planks or beams. Then I had the idea to use
another Buhlman command but with a variation. I shouted while directing
my 'eyes' down at my still not visible hands holding them before me.

"Higher Vibration Now! Increase Vibration Now! Higher Vibration Now! "

Then I even added:

"Much Higher!!!"

Then felt myself (my "body") becoming somehow warmer and more
'diffused'. Then I could see my hands shimmering orange-red through the
darkness. It was still dark and murky around me, but when I 'looked up'
from my hands I saw some white beings a few 'metres' off, mabye 3-5 or
so. They were all white, still with 'form' but also a little shiny. The
background and everything else was still in deep and murky darkness.
They looked at me, observing. Not more. I recognised them by their
contours and also 'faces'.

Greys.

I decided this was not where I initially had wanted to go (see above) or
what I ever expected to encounter in the astral at all. I was not
afraid or scared or anything. It wasn't a scary or threatening encounter
at all. There even seemed a peaceful air about them. At least, it was
neutral. All in all, it lasted not long enough for me to make a complete
assessment. After about 3 seconds I decided to fade out again as it
just wasn't what I was heading for.

So what is the or 'my' thing with 'them'? No clue. But they are there and watching (me, us all) and maintain probably useful travel and information networks, that much is clear to me. And I might be able and allowed to make use of the gateways and travel grids.

Point of Consciousness:

Next to the colour purple I also like the fact that I am always a point of consciousness in all experiences with Videntia since the 'observer mode' is the best approach or even a pre-requisite for Akashic research.

Going Forward:

Three approaches (all from the Void):
1) I will use the Purple Void Network method again next time when in the (normal) Void.
2) If I encounter a 'globe' in the Void as a presumed top-level entry point for the Earth database I will try to 'zoom in' on the historic event or place I want to 'view'.
3) In the black Void (after the green swirl signal!) I will simply try to give the direct command to enter the scene I want to watch, should be the easiest way but who knows what will actually happen!

I was asked by Lumaza to put a copy of my long post or 'kind of' article on the Void here on the Pulse. This spontaneous forum was meant to serve as a 'backup forum' because as some you know the EIC forum vanished last year and the Astral Pulse was also 'offline' quite a long while.

As is also stressed in the article's introduction, the corroboration via multiple sources / witnesses / authors was my goal. I think I accomplished it.

Maybe if you decide to have a read then do it in installments, bit by bit or chapter by chapter, since it might take time. It is long and it also contains a certain degree of repetitiveness due to the corroboration aspect. So it also can be boring. Even more due to the 'bare' or 'dry' content which is more 'basic' since we might go to the basics of reality itself, at least that's what I think.

I think that all information about these topics should not be blocked and he was giving away 'his' method and views also for free. Despite a possible sales pitch linked to DVDs offering a deepening of his methods I assume that many would have had benefited from his posts and vids alone. This includes me.

This information (!) is missing now on the forum. Other authors and tutors are promoted here too with their work and info. He should have a right to do this and every reader should have a right to decide if it is sth for them or not.

I am a bit appalled by this dictatorial measure. Are we really into disallowing freedom of speech here? It seems so. Then this is not the place for me to be anymore, I'm afraid. This is not acceptable. I have to consider leaving. I'm deeply worried about the direction this forum seems to be taking.

Again: this is not about agreeing or disagreeing with his views or methods. I had some questions and criticisms myself (I still believe it was similar to what Bruce Moen does).

This is just my great concern about blocking free flow of information of any kind that should not be done, under no circumstances. It would be understandable had it been complete BS, but I do not have the impression it was. Some people might have discovered value in his suggestions, methods, views. I discovered that they help me indeed for better meditation (just my pov and experience) - this alone was worth reading his posts. I also clicked out during meditation which I had not done before. So there was / is sth to it.

I really would like to see an answer by the one(s) who decided to block and ban him and the exact reasons given. (Not by pm please, it should be an open discussion imv, at least that should be allowed still, true?  ).

I was wondering actually to stumble across this on Wikipedia (the home domain of rational skepticism...). But anyway, here it is. I thought it might be helpful as it is the best write-up, overview, summary of all existing Focus Levels I have found so far (again: what an irony to find it on Wiki). Wanted to post this in the permanent topics section but found that this is not possible, so I post it here.

I know there's another one on the TMI website (here: http://www.monroeinstitute.org/resources/overview-of-focus-levels ) but it is restricted to the human experience and goes only until F27 and it's also not that concise to serve as a quick overview.

So I thought this one might be helpful. Many newbies or even pros do not know about or "use" focus levels, and often we don't know what they write about. One could use this as a reference point to make it clear.

Focus levels are numerical, content-neutral labels for specific altered states of consciousness associated with specific Hemi-Sync binaural beat combinations defined by The Monroe Institute (TMI). From a physiological point of view, they correspond to specific objectively measurable brainwave frequency distributions.

    Focus 18 - Unconditional love / heart energy state.
    Focus 21 - Other Energy Systems. The awareness is expanded to realities and energy systems beyond normal time, space and physical matter.
    Focus 22 - At this level people are unconscious or partly conscious. People in coma, suffering from delirium or dementia, under the influence of drugs or alcohol; patients who are anesthetized or comatose. This level is chaotic, people are confused and very difficult to communicate with.

The levels above are mainly inhabited by people in physical existence. Beyond these levels this is not the case.

    Focus 23 - Inhabited by those who have recently left physical existence (i.e. have died). They are either not aware of this or not able to become free from their ties to life on earth. They are isolated from contact with others.
    Focus 24, 25, 26 - Belief System Territories. Somewhat similar to Focus 23, however people here are not isolated but live in groups. The inhabitants are humans from all periods and areas who have accepted and subscribed to various premises and concepts. All inhabitants of a specific territory are in contact with all others who share their beliefs. Contact with anyone holding conflicting beliefs is very limited.

    Focus 27 - The Reception Center. An artificial area created by human minds, designed to ease the trauma and shock of the transition out of physical reality. It takes on the form of various earth environments in order to be acceptable to the wide variety of newcomers. Contact and communication is open between all inhabitants. Many people living in Focus 27 provide assistance to new arrivals to help them adjust to their new situation. This is a highly organized and structured area.
    Focus 33 - Creation, a "creative area"[5]
    Focus 34/35 - The Gathering. Beings from many other locations within the physical universe are gathered here to witness the upcoming Earth Changes. Consciousness of the monad ("I-There" in Monroe terminology)
    Focus 42 - I-There cluster consciousness
    Focus 49 - Sea of I-There clusters

Focus Levels are grouped into sevens. The state categorizations follow this pattern:

    Focus 1, 15, 22... - Security states
    Focus 23... - Outer reality states
    Focus 3, 10, 24... - Inner reality states
    Focus 11, 18, 25... - Love states

[21/Nov/2009 First Exit (Brutal Spine-Waves, Kundalini?)]

The topic of "etheric (body)" projections came up in another thread here, but I would like to ask other people here if they ever experienced sth similar to what I did and what I now suspect it could have been an etheric body OBE.

For text length reasons it is better to put it into a fresh thread. I copy it here from another forum (yeah, I'm lazy) where I have this OBE journal. It was my first conscious projection (after an NDE-like experience and possible projections as a child which I remember only vaguely) in November 2009.

Regarding the energetic aspect: The funny thing really is that for a while I thought these were those famous 'vibrations' I read about. After this experience, months before I had the first 'real' vibrations, I thought that people who wrote in forums or books that vibrations are 'sth pleasant and enjoyable' were stark raving mad . No, this wasn't pleasant at all!

It should be noted that I wrote this down 1,5 years later with a little more practical (and theoretical) knowledge about AP and vibrations, in April 2011 (this includes the comments below it). E.g. when this happened in 2009 I did not know yet anything about Kundalini or its symptoms.

Again, sorry for the length but as this was my very first intended projection I then took great pains to describe it as accurately as possible, also since it was so remarkable, even in hindsight. Although in the meantime I had multitudes of APs, telepathic & clairvoyant/precognitive dreams, some validations from dreams and APs and even some waking-state apparitions or manifestations, this 'historic' one still makes me stand in awe whenever I reminisce about it.

    First Exit (Brutal Spine-Waves, Kundalini?)

    Mid-November, two months on, what had happened in the meantime? Well, not much. But I read a book.

    Only a week after the surgery, I browsed Amazon and probably by some (divine? / higher self?) intuition instead of searching for books on NDE, which would only have been understandable and which I also did at later points in time, I typed 'out-of-body' into the search field. (Btw, Astral Projection was not a term I knew a lot about then, I heard it but did not even relate it to OBE, but rather to sth like dreams, a kind of clairvoyance or even meditation (all of which is not even entirely wrong, of course).)
    Almost naturally, Buhlman's book "Adventures Beyond The Body" (in German it is even "Out Of Body") came first. I bought it and read it. I was absolutely astounded how "simple" it seemed to be and that you could really "walk" through your living room as a non-physical being, and all that not just when you were "near death".

    I did the induction exercises (combined visualisation/tactile practice and affirmation). Only after a few days of finishing the book and starting the practice, very early I had those talked about "energy sensations" during the night: I heard strange sounds, remember a lifted stiff arm (I think Buhlman also mentions it in a list of possible 'events') and had inner 'energetic' jumps and movements - all while in bed sleeping or in hypnagogia or when waking up from it. I knew now I was in for more.

    This lucadventure might be categorised as a very classic RTZ-OBE. However, and that makes it interesting, it is 'framed' by a lucid dream conversion and a postlude False Awakening (semi-lucid) dream. So we have 3 'classics' in one pack. (After an NDE-type experience 2 months prior to this, I now already had received a huge bag of non-physical experience ... not so bad for a first-timer, huh? )

    1) Dream Conversion

    I dream that I am flying a familiar street of my old hometown uphill, approx. 3 metres above the ground, which leads to the street of my parent's home. In physical life, I have went and cycled (as child and schoolboy) and later driven it up with my car countless times.
    However, suddenly one thing really strikes me then. Not the fact that I am flying. It is rather the fact of HOW I am flying. I am making swimming movements (breaststroke). I notice that this is so utterly stupid and funny alike. Why am I SWIMMING through the air instead of 'normally' flying? At this very instant, this observation literally TRIGGERS my exit sensations, and something starts that I will never in my life forget.

    2) Out-Of-Body exit / RTZ-projection

    The view changes drastically. I am lucid. And I see the ceiling of my bedroom. Strange thing is that the room appears to be with the light on. I see everything clearly. I am lying on the back (unusual for me) and I also see one arm lifted (again!). It is stiff, I cannot move it, it is fixed up in the air. I also don't really feel it, it is like an alien part or an artificial limb attached to my (otherwise also paralysed but still 'felt') body. But I also don't want to change anything about it.. I want out and I know it has started now. "It" is, besides my new view, the 'energy sensations' I feel.

    However they are NOT the famous 'vibrations' at all. I did not know these vibrations then. Only later I did. Today, I know them well, of course, and I can say that this was VERY VERY different! Those WERE NO VIBRATIONS at all!

    Sorry if this bores you now a bit, but I need to try to give a description as detailed as possibly, becausee I have a suspicion now of what it could have been, which I could not have known either then or during the following days and events, due to a lack of knowledge about these matters. I will enlarge upon my question later in the Comments section, but now first my attempt to render a detailed description of what I felt and then mistook as 'common vibrations' (what a joke from today's POV). I have, so far for me, not read ANY account on exit sensations here or elsewhere that has stated anything similar to this, which makes my inquiry even more urgent now as it was then:

    As said, those 'energy sensations' were nothing like vibrations. Those were BALL-LIKE WAVES along the SPINE. Heavy, violent and almost disruptive as it seemed. Not from head to toe but only through my torso (neck to lower intestines / genital area). I cannot conclusively remember anymore if they went up-down (from neck area on downwards) or vice versa. It could have gone either way or even with a changing of directions.
    I did NOT feel any pain. Just movement. Possibly I heard roaring, crackling, sizzling, rustling sounds which more or less correlated with the intensity of the wave-balls' movements. One wave going through my body lasted possibly 1 - 1.5 seconds. The 'low-tide' intervals probably 1 to 2 seconds on average. Sometimes the intensities varied. I tried to give it a graphic expression here, you see it is not absolutely regular, intervals for the pauses (-) as well as for down- or upward moving wave 'blobs' (O, o, 0) vary:

    --O--O---o----O---0--o---O--O--o--> (time direction)

    There are two words I would like to use to describe the whole movement: Orgasmic/Ejaculative and Peristaltic. But all that without the respective body feelings (unfortunately in the first case ).
    So it was as if my torso would have been a great GIANT PENIS at the very moment of ejaculation or a part of the digestive system while it's transporting and processing its content in peristaltic muscle movements.
    Another good way to compare it to would be strong electric jolts, but again and - in this case fortunately - without any feelings, just the "movement".

    Again just to give an impression on what is meant by 'peristaltic' (mostly used in connection with pumps or the human digestive system), consider it like this, but only much much faster (1 wave-interval per 1-2 second or so):

    So I hope you get the idea of what I went through - or better: what went through me - then.

    And I was and still am sure it was 'not physical' at all. (How could it be ??! This is not the nervous system. I also should have felt pain then, I should have been bursting into parts! Any scoffers should explain it to me or better try experience this for themselves, and then they will admit: "this stuff is f***** real!")

    What is even more strange, and it makes me marvel about myself (and I am not a warrior-type of guy!): I stayed completely calm. I let it happen. Maybe there was a kind of attitude involved telling me sth like "hey, you begged for it, so here we go, now don't complain and grit your teeth and get to it!". Maybe it was still due to my hypnagogic / trance-like state. But why did I not get out of it?
    And that is not the entire story. I also endured it (knowing that it would ease off soon) because it was somehow FAMILIAR. It is a "I've-been-there-before"-feeling. But why and how? Discussion see below.

    After it waned (or even when it was gone completely, not sure anymore) I started to lift. Possibly the subconscious reason for my lifted arm then was that I wanted to use it as a kind of 'launch ramp' all the time. That's another hint to a strange familiarity .. as said, this was my first conscious and deliberate projection, I had not done this before.

    So I went out and the first thing to note is: The room was dark again as I slowly soared to my room's ceiling. I looked ahead then for the short time I looked at the wall and ahead again, the ceiling (immersed in darkness now again) before me.

    It should be noted, I also had a strange voice when talking to myself shortly (or "thinking aloud"), it was somehow vibrating, sounding high and modulated (not the human-like female voice, that's a different story again). I don't remember anymore what I said to myself then, possiby some "oh"s or "ah"s only. That, however, again, was not orgasmic either.

    Now the next funny thing: I stopped at the ceiling. And I did not know what to do. Then the idea to just "turn around". Turning around of what? Of me. But what is me? I have no idea if I had a "body" then because I had not paid attention to it/myself. I was just a cloud or point of consciousness during the whole exit.

    Then I just "turned around" (no, it seemed I did not have the purported 360 degrees vision, I really shifted somehow). Looking down where me in the bed should have been I first only saw darkness. Then I concentrated (thinking also about BUhlman's short commands such as 'clarity now' or 'vision now'). After a while I could see a figure lying there on the side (not on the back). After a while I also could make out the face clearly. It was me. I looked pale in the darkness, almost a bit like a moon face.

    But you know what striked me most about this, even today when I remember it (and which is possibly also responsible for the moon face appearance)? The kind of picture that really clings to my memory now that first comes to my mind when I remember this event, making this an almost iconic representation of this whole lucidventure:
    The very weirdness of SEEING YOUR OWN FACE WITH CLOSED EYELIDS. I looked so 'strange' (in a double sense) that I even did not clearly recognise myself for a second because of this 'alienating' view. When do we see ourselves with closed eyelids? Logically, we don't in mirrors. On photo snapshots when we were blinded by flashlights or on surprise snapshots possibly. But "live" at the same instant? This picture sticks with me, probably for the rest of this life! I will never forget the picture of that guy that is me down there in the bed 'asleep' with closed eyelids. Even today, I count this experience among the top-ten of strange sensations and experiences of my adventures.

    After I had 'identified' myself without the slightest doubt, which was otherwise not so difficult since all was 'realistic' and there were no dream imagery or reality fluctuations involved, I decided (wisely and as recommended for newbies) to cut it short and 'go back' immediately. I just went down, which was then much faster than going up.
    However, before I re-integrated, another remarkable observation. First, for a split-second I saw my face 'close-up'. Secondly, I heard my breathing (exhale) - but different, as if still somehow from the outside.

    3) False Awakening

    I got up and went into the bathroom. I passed some time there, also looking at myself into the mirror. All looked normal. I reflected on the things passed now. I was happy at my success of 'astral projecting'. Then, only after quite a while, I thought to myself 'hey, why not go to my parent's bedroom now, and wake them and tell them what happened?'. Then I realised what a strange idea this was. (Possibly it was caused by the dream I had before about flying to my parent's home). Why did I say that? I was an adult now and I had not live with my parents in their home for many many years now. Then I realised that I was still dreaming and woke up.

    Comments / Afterthoughts:

    First of all, sorry, I will keep further posts on lucidventures much much shorter. I just felt the need to enlarge upon this, since it was my first 'projection', and due to all those circumstances and detailed memory. Therefore I restrict this section (although much more would be to say for me here) only to the issues of FAMILIARITY and KUNDALINI.

    The issue of FAMILIARITY with those waves amazes me even today. Perhaps, in our super/sub-conscious memories and as reincarnating beings, we all "know" this already since it is similar to what happens when we die. Or perhaps I had/did this as a child in this life and just don't remember. Or I was a keen projector in a previous life. Or Perhaps I really only thought that THIS were the famous vibrations I read about (what a joke!). But today I know there were NO VIBRATIONS. Those were different. I had only one further experience like this a few days later. After the again-violent exit it failed due to exit blindness and fear issues.
    Fear issues also kept me from going on then. I read more books on the topic. Monroe's first book actually increased my fears, it was so different from Buhlman's optimitic take on the issue. Then I read Bruce's Astraldynamics and while I did so, I sometimes had the feeling that I was falling out of my body in waking state! That was enough for me! I actually decided to have a break of a few months, not trying anything. I needed a rest (who should blame me after all that, I had my proper dosage, after all)? So I slammed the door shut again at the end of the year and I did not have any experiences (Sometimes I even affirmed "I stay inside my body" before sleeping!).

    Maybe someone more experienced in this matter can answer this. Recently I came to suspect that it might actually have been a KUNDALINI-like experience (note the added "-like", please!). Here, people also report on spine-related 'snake'-like heavy energy sensations. If you look at the video I linked, you see that 'peristalctic' movement is indeed pretty 'snaky' if seen from a specific angle. But they also tell of body cramps and even danger of life. I did not feel this way although the waves also had a 'crampy' aspect to them. Of course, since mainly the torso was affected, it is highly likely for me that the energy was using a 'channel' that leads up/down the physical spine through which the 'awakened' energy was streaming in brutal thrusts of different intensity.

I could so far not really bother to dig deeper into the topic of Kundalini. If someone can tell me it is NOT Kundalini-related, I am fine. I wasn't keen on any Kundalini-experience so far. And if it was Kundalini, well, so be it, but I am even less keen to live through this again for understandable reasons. Two times is enough and I am happy in the end that later (according to logfile starting Feb 2010) I discovered that 'vibrations' are something very very different from that!

As much as I am very unsatisfied with my fruitless attempts to gain lucidity or any 'exits' lately, my non-lucid dreams get more and more exciting again. Seems there is always a kind of balance or compensation for loss in the other field respectively.

This one is a clear and for me a very unequivocal case of precog or (more likely) simultaneous telepathy. The sending person awake with me as receiver still asleep at the same time.

Due to lack of income and the necessity to move out of my last flat I am temporarily living at my childhood / parent's home again. Which has also its benefits by the way. Here's the 'last' dream of this morning that took place immediately before I awoke (better: was woken up):

I am driving through a nearby greater city. But I am not the driver. My mother is. And she is driving up a well-known street in the city center in a great hurry. She complains that there are so many cops / patrol cars on the streets so that she cannot even drive faster. Since I know this city so much better than her, I know where we should park the car and so I try to give her directions. I also try to slow her down a bit. She crosses some junctions at too much speed and I tell here on two occasions that we should have turned right here for a parking place - but she was just too fast for it or did not react properly.

So, after two missed opportunities to turn left we are finally at another crossroad and she has to stop as there are traffic lights or we do not have priority to this main road. I remind her, as we are standing uphill, to put on the handbrake, as we were rolling slightly backwards. She otherwise also seems to be not the best driver. I seem to know this in the dream.

I should say at this point two important things: 1. I never dreamt before that my mother was driving a car with me in it. 2. (which might explain 1. pretty well) My mother NEVER drove a car in her life and does not have a driver's license! Maybe I somehow "knew" this in the dream subconsciously, so I helped her even more. The dream went on like this:

I look back, there is a huge tractor behind us. A guy is sitting on the tractor seat and I notice that he has an adhesive plaster (as a 'gag') sticking over his mouth, but he seems okay with it and greets us by a nodding of his head. My mother pulled the hand brake just in time so that we did not bump against his front. My mother seems still a bit worried that we will not get to our destination in time (which is not known or revealed to me in the dream).

Then the dream stopped because I was woken up immediately. It was my mother's voice. She entered my room (by way of exception because she never does during sleeping times!) to wake me up. She calls my name and says that it is already past 8 or almost 9 o'clock and that I might be in danger to miss my appointment at the job center. I (rhethorically) ask her which day it is. She says "Wednesday". Indeed, I have an appointment with the job center, but tomorrow, Thursday morning at 9:00 o'clock. I explain to her that she confused the day. She thought it was today and so got worried as I still was sleeping (I usually sleep til 10 here, as said: it has its benefits ). My mother usually worries about a lot of things. She is a caring but also anxious person, easy to worry.

So it seems she literally / emotionally wanted to 'drive me to the job center' personally lest I might be too late. She mistakenly thought my appointment was today and I might miss out on it by oversleeping.

I already had some projections that seemed to mingle with the dream or emotional state of my mother somehow. This is another firm proof for me. And it even works when she is awake! Her caring emotions seem to spread out in heavy waves to me, as it seems.

All in all, a nice experience. For this one, it was worth being woken up in vain. It could also have been a precog telling me that I'd be awoken in a few moments by my rushing mother, but I think it was simultaneous telepathy with my mother's emotional worries for me.

As I think this is really intriguing and absolutely worth watching, I re-post it in an extra-thread.

I found this fascinating and that's why I want to share it here. T. Campbell did a whole series of verifications at the Monroe lab (with Bob Monroe then). Unfortunately, as it seems, they never documented it in any scientific paper. Maybe that was not their aim at all, but I think it is still very sad that they did not do more on it in a regular, more documented and systematic fashion. Anyway, here it is.

We repeated that experiment with similar results. It wasn't a phenomenon that depended on the two of us. Nancy Lea and I shared equally astonishing joint experiences. We tried other things as well. We read three and four digit numbers written on a blackboard next to the control room. Somebody would write a random number and we would read it while our bodies lay asleep. Then they would erase it and write another one, and so on and on. We went places - to people's homes - and saw what they were doing, then called them or talked to them the next day to check it out."
