Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / Re: Voices ?
January 28, 2014, 16:57:08
It is a quite common kind of experience. It occours near the border between sleep and awakeness. It can also be started intentionally. One way to do this is if you let some music run in your head before falling asleep. Another way is to count during falling asleep from 1 to 3 several times and to count then suddenly just from 1 to 2.

This sensation is really some kind of energy. And it disappears during movement. But as long as you concentrate on the energy sensation on the hands, it intensifies (to a certain maximum). If this sensation is annoying or so, you need just to concentrate on other body parts instead of your hands. The sensation begins then to fade. But do not move to let it disappear. This interrupts not only the sensation. It interrupts also your relaxation, which you need for making a out of body experience.

The sensation is not dangerous and it intensifies just to a certain maximum.

When i get problems, i stick first one hand into the wall, before i go through.

I concentrate on the sensation in the hand and press it at the wall until it begins to move inside the wall. Then i can pass it.

Lucid dreaming means just, that you know, you are in a dream or at least that this is not real.

QuoteHave you experienced anything like this? I'm really eager to know more about it, but it's so sporadic that I can't really conduct any kind of research on it...

I know, what you mean. During the relaxation are several severe distorted perceptions possible. This includes especially the perceptions of the body feelings and the visual perceptions. These are most frequently affected.

Quotethat I can't really conduct any kind of research on it...

Here are my research results:

Quote(1.2.1.1.2.2) Perceptions of the position and the form of the body and the body parts Here are experiences mentioned, which concern the perception of the position and form of the body and the body parts.

(1.2.1.1.2.2.1) With closed eyes, one often can perceive a false position of the body. One believes, a body part lies elsewhere, than it really lies. As long, as one does not move the affected body part, it feels very realistic. That sensation disappears immediately if one moves the affected body parts. This experience occurs mostly during deep relaxation. An intentional experiencing is possible by asymmetric (or irregular) concentration on some body parts.

(1.2.1.1.2.2.2) The sensation of "1.2.1.1.2.2.1" can often be accompanied by a highly distorted perception of the body. The distorted perceptions can also occur alone. Some variations of this experience are caused by "1.2.1.1.1.1.2" and "1.2.1.1.1.1.3". But the most variations of this experience can also be caused by a irregular spreading of the energy (Which can be created consciously or unconsciously.). One concentrates on a part of the body and this concentration attracts energy. This energy causes more attention. This attention attracts more energy. In this way can the attention and the attracted energy lead to very extreme perceptions of the proportions of the body.

Quote(1.2.2.3.2.1) The observation of visible supernatural experiences often leads to distorted perceptions. The distorted perception of the field of view is a side effect of the vision of supernatural experiences. This perception distortion causes, that one perceives the field of view of one eye sometimes extremely enlarged or downsized. Furthermore, the field of view can be seemingly strongly shifted. The cause is, that the vision of supernatural experiences requires the vision with the astral body. One adjusts during the vision (mostly unintentionally by concentration and attention) the proportions of the perception of the field of view of the astral body. The concentration of energy can also be a cause, because it draws attention to specific points. The perception of the affected areas (field of view,...) can be "enlarged" due this attention. This experience is absolutely harmless and disappears, when one ends the observation and the relaxation.

(1.2.2.3.2.2) A side effect which occurs mainly during the observation of free energy, is a blurring or distortion of the impression of the environment. The environment seems often to be smaller or larger, than it actually is (although there is no optical illusion). The environment can also look somehow "flat". This is often intensified by a accompanying queasy till strange sensation.

Searching for the best astral projectors will not lead to anything. There are different ways, what can be defined as good or bad and it depends from too much. It is the same, as the search for the best music band. Everyone will have another opinion and another reasons, why the own favorite is the best.

QuoteBasically in a nutshell, you awaken in a state of full blown Sleep Paralysis, then your fear kicks in and makes it much more than it is.

There must be fear, to have a effect of fear. I know this phenomenon already and i dont have any fear while i experience it, because i experienced it often enough. I usually wait until its over.

QuoteIt sounds like I am playing it down, but it can be and usually is one of the most frightening experiences you can ever have.

Only the lack of knowledge can make it frightening. If one knows, that this is harmless and knows about the sensations, it is not frightening anymore.

QuoteWe tell people to just confront it and move on, but that is much easier said than done.

Best is to tell exactly, what happens. If a newbie sees, that exactly the described things are happening, the newbie will have way less fear.

QuoteMany times a experience like this is what leads them to a Forum like ours here.

Thats right. That applies to a lot of different kinds of experiences.

I call this the "Dizziness and nausea phenomenon". Here is all, what i know about it:
Quote(1.2.5.3.7.11.1) This phenomenon occurs sometimes and suddenly during out of body experiences and some astral dreams. One gets then weakened by sudden dizziness, tingling, energy boosts, nausea and other disturbing till unpleasant sensations. Mostly one goes then to the ground or falls over. During that process becomes the field of view often dark. That means, that everything goes black (or rarely also white by brightening of the field of view). The view can also become blurred or foggy. These sudden changes can makes oneself very nervous. One wakes then often up due this nervousity. Then one got mostly a sleep paralysis. This experience is absolutely harmless and can occur on many occasions, which one does often not notice. If one is calm and knows, that it is harmless, does it feel not so bad, as it would feel if one does not know it. The best, what one can do is to stay calm and to wait. This phenomenon fades mostly away by itself. This experience can also be triggered intentionally. One possibility is, to make an out of body experience attempt during a dream or during an out of body experience.

(1.2.5.3.7.11.1.1) After the fading away one finds oneself usually in an clear out of body experience.

QuoteGetting up with less than 9 hours sleep is difficult as hell for me

Distribute your sleep in 2 phases and you need less (example: 5 hours night and 2 hours noon).

Triggering of sounds during an AP is easy. Just imagine a sound, and it will come. Sound perceptions during APs can be very intense, especially if the sound accompanies real effects (like lightning between the hands,.. very funny and impressive!).

Sounds can also be triggered during a relaxation state:

A simple way to trigger it begins with the discovery of the second layer of thoughts (a more sub consciusly layer).

Quote(M.3.9.1) Discovery of the second layer of thoughts: To discover the second voice, one may need a trick, to perceive it separately from the first voice. Here is a very simple and effective trick. One thinks a few times a specific sentence. Optimal is the sentence (example) :

"I think this sentence, because proyect said it."

One thinks this sentence several times and then one thinks only the half sentence:

"I think this sentence..."

Now the second voice should automatically think the other half of the sentence (maybe in a very short time). One tries the whole experiment a few times in a row. One will notice, that an more unconscious form of thinking sometimes finishes the sentence.

(M.3.9.2) First step to get better control of the second voice. One way is to count from 1 to 100. Either one leaves out every second number, so that it will be counted from the second voice, or one lets the second voice repeat every number. With this first exercise one has a good start. From there oneself can then continue to learn, how to control the second voice. It should be noted, that the control may be very limited.

Once you know it, you imagine during deep relaxation a song, voice or sound with this layer. If you concentrate correctly you will perceive it sooner or later as a clearly audible sound. Such sound is very unstable and fades fast away, if concentration changes!

The falling sensation is an experience, which occurs mostly during or after falling asleep. But it can also be caused by out of body experience methods. It belongs to the same group of experiences like the thing, which the people in this forum define as "strobe". Thats the reason, why (most kinfs of) it causes also twitching and shows the same aftereffects.

The most interesting fact is, that the falling sensation prefers to occur during (lets better say after!) a state, which allows to exit the body immediately (exit phase) or during (after!) astral dreams!

Scince has no real explanation for this phenomenon. They are still guessing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hypnic_jerk

They mention some triggers, but the same triggers are triggers for out of body experiences. Same is for the so called cycle in the wikipedia article. Strong anxiety or worry about out of body experiences during falling asleep  increases the number of them.

Quotevibrational state, white noise, thunder, sound of a speeding train going by my head, numbness all over, arm(s) out, leg(s) out, the feeling of being a giant blob of pudding.

There should be no sensation of "numbness". There should be "nothing"! It is a big difference, because the numbness is actually a sensation and nothing is the lack of sensation! Only if you feel nothing, you can start to leave your body properly. But the sensation of nothing cannot be archieved by observing the sensations of the body and waiting for it. You must do something else and should not concentrate on the sensations of the body.

Quotefrom there i began to visualize climbing a rope, ripping it up on a dirt bike going off of huge jumps, a giant magnet on my ceiling moving towards and away starting off slow and short to fast and long after a while. but nothing worked! so i then started imagining myself at the beach, somewhere away from my bedroom as perhaps that itself was a distraction? then boom. lights out. woke up the next morning with no obe.

This is right, you must imagine a movement as detailled as possible. If you cannot imagine a certain movement properly you must try another.

QuoteAlso how can you stop yourself from having to swallow saliva every5 - 10 minutes? XD i noticed it kept my head anchored while some of my energy body would be out Sad and it is very, very frustrating =\

You need to think of something else. The swallowing reflex is quite annoying and occours very often shortly before the exit phase begins. But instead of this reflex can also some nasty itching be perceived! Whatever you feel, you need to ignore this, or your relaxation will break. Choose a method, which helps to thing not about the swallowing or itching.

Thanks for your positive comment.

QuoteYou should give a link (if it is still online) to your book when you quote from it.

Its a quote from my website (see my signature) and my book is the printed version of my website and it is available there.

QuoteIt's very well thought out and I learned a lot from it.

Im happy to hear this!  :-)

Welcome to Dreams! / Re: Reoccurring/ familiar dreams

Dreams can repeat or continue in several kinds.

In some dreams the story continues completely, in some dreams only the area is the same, and in some dreams the action is the same. Story, deepth, length and content of such dreams can vary widely!

If one wants know more about own continuing dreams, i suggest to use a dream diary, otherwise it is almost impossible to follow such dreams properly.

The kind of continuing can vary. I know these kinds of continuing dreams (episode dreams):

Quote
(1.2.5.4.2.1.2.2) Sequels after an longer interruption are much rarer. The sequels of these dreams occur often after some weeks or even years. Gaps in the story are not uncommon. Sequels occur often mixed (Here is an example of the 3 dream series A, B and C: A, B, C, B, C, C, A, B). Often many different episode dreams run in this way parallel. These dreams occur in several variants. Such dreams can be best followed by the use of dream diaries.

(1.2.5.4.2.1.2.2.1) Dreams, which result in a continuing story. The gaps between the pieces of the story are often big, but one can put together the story of all dreams quite well. One remembers during such a dream very often (only) the previous parts of the same series of dreams. It is, as if ones own life has only taken place in this series of dreams and the story was part of the own life.

(1.2.5.4.2.1.2.2.2) Dreams, which are not really a sequel, but where one is at the same location(s) as in the previous dreams of the same series. One recognizes after the dreaming, that one has dreamed of the places already before. This happens even, if the place is boring and unimpressive and if the properties of this place does not deviate from the properties of the places of "normal dreams". It is independent from the actual existence (or not existence) of this place in the reality. One remembers during such a dream very often (only) the previous parts of the same series of dreams. It is, as if ones own life has only taken place in this dream series and the single parts of the story has been part of ones own life.

(1.2.5.4.2.1.2.2.3) Dreams, which are partially or completely repeated. These are dreams in which some elements (example: often all trees fall, but the remainder of the dreams is always completely different), the story (only the same action, but not the same place) or even the whole dream (exactly the same) are repeated.

I suggest, thet the term "psi balls" should not be used for the energy method, because many parts of the psi ball method are simply created by the fantasy of dragon ball fans. These parts do either not work as described or not work at all. This can lead to frustration and learning in wrong (not functional) ways. Perceptions during practicing are caused by other effects than the psi ball method suggests.

Here are corrections of the two most problematic wrong informations which are spread due psi ball method:

-Energy can easily be felt in the hands, but not only in the hands. It can be felt on the whole body. The reason is, there is no ball, one feels just the energy on the affected body parts.

-Psi balls can be thrown and perceived.... but there is nothing thrown.... the perception of the "receiver" is caused by energy, which the throwing person sends. It can also be done without making a psi ball and it can be done continously.

QuoteBut they're a great energy running exercise and are fun to make.

Thats right... The feeling of the energy during the application of the psi ball method is supernatural AND easy to perceive! Energy can be sent and received easily. So it is a lot of fun.

QuoteIm just Curious guys. . like in the m0vies dragon ball z. .please help me guys coz i want to experience having energies bind in my hands. .

Oh my god.... not again!!!!!

Someone had this thoughts 10 years ago, and then the psi ball method was born. It never worked, but many in german forums have done it. It took more than 5 years, until the people understand, that this method does not work. Then most of them had been frustrated and gave up doing supernatural stuff.

I suggest NOT to use the stuff from this television. You wouldnt try to learn to fly like superman or to make nets like spiderman, so do also not to try to make energy balls.... this will also not work,.... as i said, many tried this before.

Use your time to try out things, of which other people said, that these work. So you wont get frustrated at the beginning by lack of success.

The main diffrence is, that problems with automatically opening eyes are solved by this techniqe. If you got such, it is recommended to try it out.

More important than the eyes is the removal of disturbing noises and the reduction of all other kinds of perceptions of the physical body. Less incoming perceptions means higher chance of success. But it does not work continoulsy during dayly or too frequent application. The highest effect is during the first weeks of frequent application. Then the effect fades more and more! (Is, what i observed during my experiments with perception reduction)

That sounds great!

QuoteMost of the 'nasty' ones happened early on and directly applied to simple fears.

This is nature of every kind of supernatural experience. If you fear or expect something, it will probably happen. This happens especially with the more useful abilities like telepathy or contact to hereafter or remoteviewing. Example: When i search in a kitchen for objects, i will most probably see kitchen objects even if nothing like this is in this kittchen. Just because i expect such objects in a kittchen. But this percepted expectations are not a proof, that remote viewing does not exist. If someone places spare tires, a hand grenade and a elephant in this kittchen and if i search for uncommon objects, i will most probably see one of these.

The fact, that own expectations and fears have heavy impact on supernatural abilities makes prooving very difficulty. Especially, when this fact is ignored. I learned to accept it and to use it against itself, when possible. This made my abilites way more useful.

Quotethen the physical in this dualistic state releases adrenaline... this causes mechanical effects upon depolarised neurones causing intense buzzing and pressure. This has a knock on effect that causes more fear... until it crescendos.

The perceptions during near sleep state do not need any kind of emotions or adrenaline or such stuff. The right method for perception (there are several kinds of possible visual perceptions which need different methods to be seen intentionally) is enough. The content can be changed by expectation.

QuoteI've never really been scared during the actual OOBE/AP/projection... unless I have projected myself into the belief I am in SP in another location, when feeling trapped or during precognitive projections.  wink

But you got still expectations during OBEs. They still have an impact on the course. This cannot be prevented.

One example is passing through walls. What do you expect, when you approach a wall and try to go through? Usually (not allways) the expected thing happens.

QuoteI simply can't see how the Predator or Jason from Friday the 13th can manifest as real beings in my bedroom.

The question is not, how they can manifest. The question is, what room do you see and who or what are the seen persons (of course they are not jason and predator)? There are several kinds of experiences, which allow to see supernatural things with physical eyes open. And you learned most probably in the astral world, that not every perception from there is, what it seems. Same is with any other supernatural perception. They can be the truth and they can be the untruth and everything between. Thats one of the big problems of the application of supernatural skills. One has to learn to interpret the perceived things and to distingish truth and untruth.

So when something with a certain skill percepted cannot be the truth, it is still not necessarily a proof for the non existence of this skill.

QuoteIt just so happens that a great deal of SP can be explained as having physiological origins..

Without participation of physical things,we would never remember any out of body experience and never have any supernatural perception. Just because our brain and our body are physical things. So, the observation of physical reactions is not a prove, that no supernatural thing caused or influenced it. This is one of the main problems of common science. They do not know about supernatural, so they do not search for ways to exclude it. They just tell often enough "This thing is "blah blah blah" but the causes are not fully known or unknown." One example is the exploding head syndrome. Science found nice words to describe it and to let it look completely physical. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploding_head_syndrome No one would believe in non physical reasons after reading this.

But there is one sentence:
QuoteThe cause of the exploding head syndrome (EHS) is not known, though some physicians have reported a correlation with stress or extreme fatigue.
Stress and fatigue are good triggers for pre OBE phenomena and OBEs (due the slower falling asleep (stress) or the fast falling asleep (fatigue)). The EHS is such a pre OBE phenomenon. The EHS can even be triggered intentionally by application of OBE methods or (better) focusing on own energy body during relaxation. There is just the help of another person required, who must suddenly disturb the relaxation (clapping hands).

QuoteI'm not sure about the list of specific 'astral' things you've made though... they are so variable and many I could make a book out of a list.

I made such a book already, because im really fascinated about the different kinds of things, which can be experienced. There are hundreds of them and it is worth it to give the full attention even to small details.

Quote'-attempts to open the eyes lead also to a complete awakening'

I've opened my eyes a lot.. and it hasn't broke the SP. I've entered SP with my eyes already open. Your eyes aren't affected by REM atonia... only the muscles that control full movement are a bit wobbly.

I can reach it with open eyes too. I noticed, that such a SP becomes unstable, when i move my eyes during this state. The control of muscles during SP is completely off and after it came back (just seconds after attempting to move), it is just as if the SP never had been.

I also noticed, when i attempt to open the eyes to see environment (after awakening from sleep into a SP), this state breaks. But i didnt pay any attention, whether i made other small unnoticed movements or not.

I will research this further.

Quote
QuoteScience has got SP in a nutshell because it's counted as a 'medical problem'... they're not interested in OOBEs because they're not a medical problem.

Very true, I believe. If science was not able to determine some of the physical reasons of SP, they would've very easily relegated it to the "junk sciences".

Yeah, this is it. Science is not interested, which part of SP has physical reasons (like lack of ability to move) and which part not (increased probability to perceive supernatural perceptions).
#22
QuoteWhen you said you can have psychic abilities, did you read it in a book or have you known people to have developed psychic abilities.

I can tell by own experience, that this is a fact. The reason for it are the relaxation techniques, during which one attempts to make an obe. Moat people try during these attempts to perceive something strange and unusual. They pay more attention to such things and learn unconsciously and consciously to experience such things again. Mostly are the first things viewing of colors or patterns (seeing of own aura) and controlled viewing of hypnagogic images (which can be used for telepathy and contact to hereafter). The more often one tries to get an obe and the more attention one pays to unusual things, the higher is the probability to learn unconsciusly supernatural skills.

I learned in this way many basic skills of supernatural abilites.

But it should also be mentioned, that out of body experiences are not necessary for learning supernatural skills. These skills can also be learned separately. I improved in this way my basic skills of supernatural abilites and learned aditional skills.

QuoteWhy does science hit such a nerve with people when they wouldn't be communicating this way if it wasn't for it. We use it when it suits us... and jilt it when it spoils our view of how we'd like things to be. We are so selective when it comes to belief.

Maybe you have not noticed the rubbish, which the science has told the last 10 years to explain supernatural things. For example, that OBEs can be simulated by viewing a movie of the backside of your own body. Do you feel out of body, when you see a video from your back? I do'nt. If science would have just asked only one real astral traveller, he would have told, that out of body experiences are not just the viewing of own body. But science accepted this explanation. Another thing is, that science tried to explain aura viewing with synesthesia. They asked one (1) person with synesthesia about viewed experiences and used it to falsify the statements of hundreds to thousands of people. Or just look at explanations of physical things. Science did not believe in rogue waves until 1995 just because they didnt want to believe it. There had been dozenz of destroyed ships, which had damages up to top decks, and hundreds of statements of victims. But every seaman, who claimed to have seen a roque wave has just been declared as insane. Science wants still not believe in supernatural things, and i bet, they will find for anything some kind of explanation. Now matter how stupid a explanation will be, science will use it to falsify the claims about supernatural things. Thats, why i do not believe every thing, what the science trys to tell me.

QuoteWe are so selective when it comes to belief.

And science is not?

QuoteMost people who consider themselves mystics or what not no longer consider SP to be supernatural. I don't know about Beedeekin but I believe science has a good explanation for the cause and mechanisms of SP. They even have a very plausible reason for why we even have the condition.

Is my english so bad, that i cannot explain, that SP and the above described things are two different things? I experienced both alot. Here a comparison.

Sleep paralzis:
-Feelings, that breathing is impossible or extremely hard
-movements are during this state impossible, when they are possible, this state is gone or one has already begun an out of body experience. This state ends even during attempts to move. Every movment ends this state. Even very small movements (fingers).
-No physical perception of body
-Feeling as if one is very light
-partial until complete separation experiences may occur. These are often very suddenly or unexpected (leads often to a startling and this leads to slight awakening)
-the sensations and perceptions, which one can have during relaxation, are now much intensified
-this state can be achieved directly during relaxation and occurs not only after falling asleep
-attempts to stand up in common way lead almost allways to a physical awakening and standing up
-attempts to open the eyes lead also to a complete awakening

Astral state:
-Intense sensations of pressure inside or outside of body parts or whole body. Often accompanied by tingling. Most frequently are such sensations in the head. Distorted perception of the body.
-Extreme tiredness accompanied by weakness and the strong desire to continue sleep.
-movements are during this state often hard (often means not allways!), but they are possible. This state continues after movements, even after movements of the whole body (because its the non physical body, which is moved). Sometimes movements during this state are very easy (like movements during full awakeness)!
-Reduction of the ability to view the environment. Often blurred field of view. It can also contain dark spots or even be almost completely backed out.
-Shaking and wobbling perceptions of the grounds and of the body. Especially during walking.
-this state cannot be achieved directly during relaxation. Occurs only after falling asleep
-perceptions of separation do not occur. Starting a out of body experience is like starting physical movements (with the additional features of astral world, of course).
-attempts to stand up in common way lead almost allways to a out of body experience, often several times in a row

Have you ever tried to leave you body during SP? I think you did.

The above described astral state is different. Emotions and such stuff do not disturb exiting. Almost every attempt to stand (physically) up leads just to another OBE. This state can only be broken by hard trying. It can take Minutes. It can happen, that one just awakes several times in this state again (more than 5 awakenings in a row are not rare!)! During a common sleep paralyzis one awakes just one time, and one is then awake (exept one falls asleep again, but this happens not suddenly).
#24
QuoteAwesome Sleep Paralysis description... excluding the walking bit.  wink

QuoteIt can persist during open eyes because REM atonia doesn't paralyse the eyes... hence Rapid Eye Movement. You can open your eyes during SP but vision is blurred like a white noise... the eyes tend to cross creating double vision and objects to merge creating a 3D forced perspective effect.

Why do you try to use the (so called) scientific explanations to explain supernatural things. You also would not use such scientific explanations to explain OBEs and the respective exit phase.... or would you? (im shure, they have written lots of stuff about which kind of dreams out of body experiences are)

The physical sleeping paralyzis is not the above described astral state. Common sleeping paralyzis is completely different. Main difference besides the lack of strong supernatural perceptions is that attempts of a common (physical) standing up during a common SP does usually lead in a common (physical) standing up. Same attempts during the above described astral states does mostly lead to an out of body experience (even if one does not want any and wants just to awake physically). Many false awakenings begin with such a above described state.
#25
There are many possibilities, how this can feel. Shaking and wobbling perceptions of the grounds and of the body included.

Most common are these perceptions:

-Intense sensations of pressure inside or outside of body parts or whole body. Often accompanied by tingling. Most frequently are such sensations in the head. Distorted perception of the body.
-Extreme tiredness accompanied by weakness and the strong desire to continue sleep.
-Reduction of the ability to view the environment. Often blurred field of view. It can also contain dark spots or even be almost completely backed out.
-Shaking and wobbling perceptions of the grounds and of the body. Especially during walking.

These perceptions cause often the fear, that one is ill and about to die.

The combination of perceptions change every time. Not all such awakenings contain such perceptions. During some of such awakening one can be just fresh and healthy awake in a clear visible and stable environment and have no problems with standing up.
