Okay, keep voting, that's great, now why do you prefer one over the other, or think they're the same thing?

My last post cost me 2 Karma points lol
I give up with you lot
Take care folks

Nodes

Aw. Wait, what?
How do you know it was from that post? Who would smite you for that, wtf? You're not really leaving, right? You're awesome. You're joking, or.. what?
:?
Even if you are joking, I don't really like the karma points, people get too hung up on them. Anyway, people can have all the internet karma they want, but their real karma might be horrible.

PS: I don't want this going off topic. :)

I'm sorry but I can't really help you, other than say that I get my dream memories mingled with my real memories all of the time! I will be mad at a person for days before realizing it was something they did in a dream. I also have that video game problem all the time too, losing my wallet as well. :)

What i think matters exactly the same amount as what you think, doesn't it?

I was under the impression that someone had started a topic which they wished to be discussed by anyone, irrespective of their point of view.  or was it just intended for your sheep like followers, who are willing to massage your ego by believing in any conspiracy theory however outrageous.

Noice.

I found this quiz posted on here back in 2003. It already had 5 pages, and members who posted are mostly long gone, or their personalities would have changed anyway. I thought it was interesting, so I thought I'd re-post it.

Hi, I'm wondering which of the three everyone here prefers the most and why. It seems that lately OBEs are way more popular than Astral Projections. I want to know why you think that, or why you still like Astral Projections better, or if you even like Lucid Dreams the best. Or, do you think they're all the same thing?

An OBE as in when you usually start in your room, then explore Earth.
An Astral Projection as in when you travel to the Astral Planes.
A Lucid Dream as in realizing that you're dreaming, and exploring your dreams.

Personally, I like Astral Projection the best, because you get to travel to (what could be) the after life, meet deceased friends, they're easier, clearer and longer for me, etc.

When I was a kid,  maybe 12 or so, my family went to get a Christmas tree. They were leaning on a large piece of wood. It was the first snowfall of the year. I was sliding around on the ice, having a blast. I didn't realise that they were leaning on the wood or something, and I slid between two trees. I got knocked out, but I remember standing beside my body as I watched it lay there, my family thought I was joking so they left me there.  :x
When I finally came to, I got up, looked at the wood, which had a huge nail sticking out of it, (luckily I just missed it) then yelled at them for standing there. They said, "how would you know we did nothing if you were out?". I also told them what I heard them say, and I was right.

This was before I knew what an OBE was.

God is still real to those who believe in Astral Projection.
Christianity is worshiping Jesus.
You can still believe in God if you believe in Astral Projection and out of body experiences, they show us that there is much more to life, which is here because of God.
Jesus was a man who was possibly enlightened in a way, so he had 'powers'. Or, he was normal and the whole Davinci Code thing is true.
But you can still believe in God, for sure. :)

Can't wait for it to be legal everywhere. :)

In my opinion, it's nowhere near as bad as tobacco, which is legal.
Tobacco is disgusting, and totally stupid. There are no positives to smoking it, it's not even 'cool' anymore. It just kills you. You pay for it. And it stinks.

Marijuana is much better.

Ive been hearing alot about this 2012 stuff, I keep hearing about it happening, whats being SAID, I cant really find much other then the calander. Anyone with physical proof such as graphs, calanders, quotes from texts such as bibles, everything that can be backed up with a link. So post links... Not just whats heard or what you think is going to happen... Also anything that is going to happen in 2012 would be nice too, other then the "End of the world".

First of all, read everything (or mostly everything) in the 2012 forum.
Also, I don't think quotes from the bible would verify anything. :)

I believe it was more of a remote viewing. (Which is definitely no worse, or at all less cool than an OBE :))
#138
Neat, good luck! :)

..I'll think about trying, if you get good results.

1. How fast can you travel while you are out of your body?
2. Is it the spirit that is out of your body?
3. Is the heart still pumping?
1. Depends on the situation and/or person. Sometimes you'll be fast, sometimes slow, usually whatever you wish.
2. Different people believe it is different things, for example: spirit, soul, psyche, etheric body, astral body, mind, etc.
3. Yes.

Thanks for answers:)

Next time it happens and I choose not to stop it. What will happen? If I leave my body, how long can I be outside my body? Will my body still breathing?

You should leave your body or come close to it, and after a few tries you should have left. Some people have first experiences that last hours (to them), but most people start out with minute-long experiences or so, and work their way up. You'll probably just float around your room the first few times, but you should set your standards higher! :)

Your body will be perfectly okay when you get back to it, don't worry about that whatsoever, or it may affect your results.

But do you know what it is?

I took the liberty of finding you Kodemaster's quote from the FAQ's which TalaNay posted a link to. :)

QuoteMany beginners come across this scenario:

I have been meditating for X amount of time and I get to the stage of vibrations. However I feel myself getting close to getting out, but I can't. I even feel like I'm floating. How come I can't get out?

Here is the missing piece:

Although people commonly believe they will project from meditation at first, most actually don't get to that stage (sometimes referred to as a full-conscious exit) until many years of practice.

The floating feeling you're experiencing is actually a common trance symptom, and is not a projection itself.

Your first experiences most likely will come from pulling an OBE from a dream. Please refer to my thread in the Astral FAQ on how to do this:

http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/index.php?topic=19319.0

However, I'm not saying not to practice meditating and doing energy work. The training is necessary to build up the energy - and prepare your body - to have an experience.

Jeni

Uhh.. wait, I don't think that even answers your question on what the vibrations are..
I'm not good at explaining things with words, but here goes... vibrations are normal when you're entering trance/about to leave your body. You use them by focusing on them and increasing them until you can easily leave your body.

Welcome to Book Reviews! / Nobody True

Title: Nobody True (Get the pun there? No? Try harder :))
Author: James Herbert

I just picked this book up last weekend, and only read the first two chapters for now, because I'm currently reading two other books. It seems amazing so far, and I'm sure you'll all like the topic. :)

Back Of Book:
QuoteJames True Was Not There When He Died
He returned from an out-of-body experience to find that he'd been murdered and mutilated. He had no body to go back to.
But who murdered him? The serial killer terrorizing the city-or someone closer? True had no enemies, at least none that he knew of.
To discover the truth, James True must track down his killer. The initial horror of True's experience is followed by an even greater terror... his family are the murderer's next targets.
Without a body, True has no substance and no real power. No one can see him, no one can hear him, and no one except his murderer even knows his spirit still exists.
How can he save his family?

Yes.. I just typed that all out.
I'll post a whole review when I finish the book.

Does anyone know any other OBE or Astral Projection books that are fiction, with a good plot like this? If so, please post them.

Kitsune, why are you so obsessed with religion, is it to fill a void, well you will never achieve that by going to church and listen to some silly preacher

I definitely wouldn't call Paganism a void filler.
It's not like most other religions.

Also, in the original topic post Kitsune wasn't even promoting religion, (s)he was actually more demoting it.

:?
#148
I think this is a great topic, and an even better question. I'd like to know some more about it as well.
#149
Religion itself does not suck, but blindly following one type of religion does suck. You should keep your mind open, and make your own opinions.

I may be wrong, but I thought this was a "given" with age.

When you are 5 years old, a year is 20% of your life - a big chunk in other words.

When you are 20 years old, a year is 5% of your life - less of a chunk so it feels "smaller" and "quicker".

Or something like that.

Which explains why time seems to speed up when you get older.

Sarah

That's exactly what I thought at first, but I think it means that more people are noticing it than ever.
