Best greetings,

Hi Ebele,

Usually when I'm well rested and it's on the quiet side...which means late morning sometimes, afternoon. I normally don't in the evening because I end up having to deal with feeling sleepy once I've relaxed sufficiently.

Thanks for your kind thoughts,

Phil,

From my experience one can usually contact the recently deceased, and although some seem to end up in situations where they're recuperating, what I've learned is that strongly held beliefs/desires seem to dictate where people go. For instance, people who believe that they sleep after death until a religious figure awakens them quite often are asleep in the nonphysical. Some who want nothing more than to continue, say, being burglars, go to places that are filled with like kind--other thieves. There are all manner of worlds that accomodate religious beliefs, desires (all created by human beliefs)...as well as places that aren't 'religious' at all, such as the afterlife world Bob Monroe found that apparently has only one law: no one can impose their will upon another.

Hope this helps,

Hi Mark,

Hey I'm doing fine.
In some cases, yes, from what I've gathered some Helpers had known the stuck person when in the physical...and with others I don't think that was the case. They're just people who're not in the physical, who've chosen to hang around There and help out.

Take it easy and love,

Novice,

Yes, I've known several from this physical life that I ended up assisting in the afterlife. A few were complete surprises to me (I was doing something else in the nonphysical and a Helper suddenly appeared, letting me know I could help with someone's situation), while others I made a point to visit to see how they were doing. And, it's usually not recognizing a face that let's me know who I'm with--a knowing comes to me, an instantaneous rote/feeling/knowing involving the person's personality, their thoughts, even some of their memories or mannerisms...all of which adds up as their 'unique signature', if you will. In almost all retrieving, Novice, I just choose to allow any Helper to come and take me to whomever needs help. But, we can all place the intent to visit with anyone. The only 'restriction' I've ever come across is a situation where the person may just not be available for me to visit with, cause they're busy and so on....or, any restrictions I myself still may carry around due to my own beliefs. A few visits with loved ones were on the emotional side, but oh so cool. It was either just have faith that they were still alive somewhere, or go and find out for myself. The former just never did it for me---:o).

Novice,

I experimented with the TMI tapes in the late 80's and although I had a few experiences that said to me I was definitely more than my physical body, I still wasn't able to navigate the nonphysical in a conscious, aware state, with me at the controls. So, it was a bummer for me back then and I haven't used them since (probably because I was thinking the tapes would do it for me, instead of realizing I could). And I agree, although they may be a useful tool for many, all of us already have what it takes to journey to other areas of consciousness anyway: we're born with the ability.

This must be an exciting time for you. And I hear ya regarding you feeling you've been experiencing yourself more as a point of consciousness opposed to having to believe you need a second, astral body. I don't use the OOBE and I don't phase according to what other explorers have shared here. For me what has worked best is simply learning to focus my attention wherever I want to go while conscious...and learning to communicate via nonphysical senses. It makes sense to me that there are various avenues we can all take to get There---what's important is all of us just getting there--:o).

Happy Trails, Novice. It is by far the best adventure around!

Much love,

Welcome to Astral Consciousness! / BST?
August 08, 2003, 10:43:24

Hi Nutball,

The BST--Belief System Territories--are an endless number of worlds in the afterlife usually involving a group of people who share common beliefs (everything from religious beliefs to you name it) and desires. The only way to go to one of these worlds, once dying, is to be in possession of a particular belief/desire which you strongly, passionately identify with...any belief that will resonate with the energies of a particular BST world. And these places were created by humans and their beliefs. The only reason I was initially introduced to some of these worlds, by Helpers, was because I was interested in retrieving.

Hope this helps and much love,

Ginny

Hi Novice,

Douglas said it all...and just thought I'd add what I've been learning about rotes, or communicating, while There. It's still a bit of a mystery to me as to just exactly how it works, but it seems that the less I rely on using the equivelant of the five physical senses when in the nonphysical, the more I'm able to use or access this instantaneous method of communicating. It's like being linked to a, at times, steady stream, other times in fits and starts... of 'knowing info'--info just coming to you about a person or any given situation. And I feel we all experience it, whether while wide awake in the physical or zooming around in the non. I think our culture has taught us to discount or ignore a lot of what just comes to us, pops into our minds out of the blue, even when such knowing info can be later verified.
So, just some thoughts---:o)

Take care,

Ginny

Hey Douglas,

Something I forgot to mention...and you bringing up the rote reminded me that absolutely, this happens a lot in retrievals.
First time it ever happened I was talking with a guy who was stuck in F23, alone and working a food booth at some kind of carnival. He was terrified of leaving because he was conviced others were looking for him, to do him harm. I was then suddenly somewhere else, or within a scenario that helped me better understand the level of fear he was experiencing. I was crouching down in a cotton field, terrified of being found. Then I was back with him at the carnival. It took a moment to reorient myself but I realized that perhaps it was like a brief tour of his emotional state. I have no idea if the Helper with me orchestrated it, or if the man's fear was at a level that enabled me to briefly dip into and then out of his situation, but it helped to then be able to help him more efficiently.
I'll be with nonphysical people and suddenly see houses, a certain person possibly important to them--as if watching a brief movie--all kinds of information about them suddenly downloading into your awareness.
And yea, the ID card. Love it. And one thing about working with Helpers too, is that they always seem to understand what a retriever is capable of handling. At times the retrievals in the beginning are straightforward and they can become more complex as you gain experience.

Thanks for posting this and looking forward to future experiences.--:o)

Much love,

Ginny

Douglas,

~On the other hand, perhaps the whole scenario was just a product of my imagination, stimulated by discusion on the forum!~

***But just what is imagination, the ability to imagine? Someone once told me that since we really have no clue what the ability to imagine is all about, we end up using a tiny fraction of it to fantasize...and we thus assume the two are they same.***

~Either way, the result is the same. It has got me interested in trying to help those stuck in BST regions, esp the horrific regions.~

***Wonderful. You're needed. Follow that inner voice, that inner knowing.***

Love,

Ginny

Douglas,

Interesting experiences. I do know--just what I've experienced so far-that when I, say, decide where I want to go and then arrive in the 3D blackness, as soon as I focus my attention on any one anomaly within that blackness, I'm off, or most often I'm then just suddenly where I had decided I wanted to be without any sensation of movement or time lapse. As to where you were, who was with you....I don't know, Douglas. Be careful in allowing others to interpret for you, and the only reason I say that is because I feel whether we experienced the nonphysical in 3D-5-physical-like-senses way, or through nonphysical senses and the mind's eye, or OOB, whatever...it's all individual interpretation happening anyway. The best approach is what's best for each person, opposed to the thinking that any one way is superior. You could have been at what many have coem to call The Reception Center in F27, maybe not. Let your curiosity about these experiences be your guide to having more...so beliefs can turn into knowns. Maybe, in a conscious but relaxed state, see and especially feel that man in the reception area again...and ask who he is? Just play along and watch for anything unexpected.

Much love,

Ginny

Hi Douglas,

Yea, it seems that when enough people put strong desires, passion into, say, an afterlife belief...bingo, we have a new BST world, or one that is continually being upheld by such passion. One of the first BST 'heavens' I ever encountered was actually quite lovely: serene, exquisite garden-like setting, peaceful with a capital P. Things was, the guy who wanted to leave was bored out of his mind. He was a Buddist monk...and when several others saw the group of Helpers and me gathered near him, they became curious, walked over and decided to leave too. Others were content to stay and okay---whatever they feel they need.

Some of the traditional fundamentalist hells are pretty awful (some of the heavens, in my view, are stifling too...lol) and with most I've only been to the outer edges of them, so to speak, opposed to journeying into the inner cores where the suffering is much worse. On one hand, Douglas, I know they're a part of the ball game here in the Earth Life System, yet on the other hand, I don't want to see anyone suffering either. But, the people are there because of their own belief systems. All I can do is help a few out, when they're ready to go. Perhaps the new awareness about the afterlife that's gone global in the last 20 years or so is an important factor in these BST worlds eventually running out of gas?

Yes, I read his 4th book awhile ago. He wrote of visiting some 'hells' within the BST and I know he feels that the people  others call Negs or demons are just as you say, people who've become addicted, who've narrowed their focos of attention to a point where all they can be aware of is the fulfillment of their desire. He's been helping with this very problem for a few years now and I've partnered a little with him in working with such nonphysical folks. Also, in some of the religious hells I'm sure there are 'demons', just as there are 'satans' and all kinds of characters. But, I'm in agreement with you Douglas, as is Bruce, and many others actually.

As always, I enjoy so much your thoughts. Much love,

Ginny

For what it's worth, I have a guide/helpers who wear hats sometimes too.  The last time:  garden-party hats!  Again, why not . . . ? When you have eternity to play dress-up, it's got to be fun.

Tisha,

Garden party hats?!---LOL!!! God I love this. Hey...who says Guides/Helpers can't enjoy a sense of humor too? And yes, couldn't agree more on "why not anything". I mean, aren't we creative, highly inquisitive beings after all, forever fascinated with life in all the ways it can be wrapped and delivered?--:o)

Thanks so much for your post---you made my day.

Is this the same Robert Monroe who wrote a book about a soul's journeys through and between incarnations? If so, then I think I read his first book once upon a time!

[/quote}

Tayesin,

Probably. Robert A. Monroe: Journeys Out of the Body, Far Journeys and Ultimate Journey. He made the phrase "OOBE" popular, started up TMI--The Monroe Institute.  He spent so many years slowly coming to understand what was happening to him, the places and people he was visiting. I feel he made a huge leap, for all of us, in discovering we all can venture beyond the physical. I don't use the OOBE to explore beyond here--Focused Attention works best for me--but I greatly appreciate the map he created (focus levels, for starters), of places and people beyond the physical...the different energetic laws that apply in each.

Have fun, Tayesin (neat name by the way), and much love,

Gin, as always I feel as I read your accounts that I am right there!  Thank-you! That helper sounded like he has a great sense of humor [:D].  I would love to be able to see what your costume looked like..hehehehe.
When you are done with a retrieval do you feel physically or emotionally drained in any way?.. I bet after this one, you had a huge grin from ear to ear... I know I did!

Hugs,
Nay. [;)]

Nay,

Wasn't he a kick? I haven't laughed that much ever in a situation with a Helper. I definitely want to follow up, find out more about him. And the costume.....(lol), wouldn't have been my choice but then this happens a lot, like, just suddenly having pockets with paperwork inside them with info that's helpful for a stuck person, or suddenly finding yourself decked out in clothing to match the stuck person's scenario/expectations.

The only time I may feel drained is when I've visited some places in the BST, where I picked up some of the energies, and neglected to unload it prior to returning to full waking consciousness. It's easy to unload any energy that isn't yours--it's just that I forget to do it sometimes. Then I later may (or may not) feel a little drained and it dawns on me what to do. I know of retrievers who state to themselves prior to being in the nonphysical, that any and all energies they may come in contact with, that aren't theirs, will just simply pass through them with no influence during any given experience, understanding that it's all just energy anyway. So, that's another way to deal with it.

Isn't being away from the physical a trip?!--lol---:o)

Ginny

Hi Ginny,

These days I am still doing astral phasing, and learning little by little. At some point perhaps an attempt at retrieval. Thank you for what you do. It is certainly good spiritual work. [:)]

Very best regards,

Nick,

"Trust your own process"...something someone said to me when I was at Moen's workshop. Whichever way we each feel is best for us, to come *to know* that there is no such thing as 'death'-----far out!--:o) Wouldn't it be a different world if at the point of dying, everyone could feel truly excited and happy cause they knew where they were going, or could at least have absolutely no fear of the transition?

Thanks for your kind words. They mean a lot, Nick, and encourage me to keep exploring, keep sharing what little I've been able to understand so far.

Much love,

Come to think it about such a place as you described does make sense as it helps newly 'passed' people become acquainted with their new situation and prepares them to 'move on' to other realms. Or provide a respite before they return (reincarnate) to earth[?]
Have you ever been to Mardi Gras? I suspect that you would be a natural and would fit right in either at New Orleans or Rio de Janeiro. [:D][:o)][8D][:X][8D]

LOL! Naw, haven't been to either but I'd bet dollars-to-donuts that Helper partyed down at both celebrations!--:o).

Adrian brought up a good point awhile back about the possibility that retrieving has more of a personal connection for retrievers than just the act of retrieving, and I have to agree. Perhaps I lived in Party Town at one time?. I'm aware that a lot of the Helpers that I work with have also previously lived in some of these places and they understand the desires and beliefs that rule them. Another city in the BST, full of homeless people--I've been there many times retrieving and was later informed I'd been a resident there at one time..and so it goes.

Yea, interesting point you brought up. We automatically assume that places within the BST mean 'stuck'...and I can't help but feel that that's the case I think wherever we focus a great deal of our awareness/attention into, even here. So, maybe 'stuck' can also mean 'gathering experience'. Going to Party Town sure beats a traditional heaven or hell in my view---LOL!

It's forever fascinating to me what really strong desires and beliefs have and will continue to create, here and elsewhere.

Much love,

Ginny

Ginny, thank you for sharing this tale.  I didn't understand the technical terms for the various constructions and realities.  Didn't know these places had been named. LOL.

Yet, as I read the words, I resonated deeply with it.  I have always known that we create many things in our afterlife if we are stuck in certain beliefs. Now, through your words, I have experienced it.  So thank you.

Love always.

Tayesin,

Bob Monroe, years ago, labeled the various areas of consciousness he visited as focuses (focus 24, 25 and 26 comprise the Belief System Territories)..I'm sure much like we give areas on a map names: just something to call them or to know where to go.

Thanks for your kind words. It means a lot--:o).

Nay,

Congrats my friend! I'm not an expert on OOBEs, as you know, but I remember what I went through starting years ago. I was just wondering, in reading this...are you and others who go through this common process of initially finding it difficult to 'get out', and then once out, struggle with heaviness and so on...are you actually in the process of learning to master the OOBE, by taking these initial, difficult steps? This may not be a good analogy, but a lot of kids will jump on a bike for the first time and actually do better than they thought they would....until a little fear sets in, and then they can't seem to ride for beans, unless they keep at it...eventually mastering it by conquering their fears. I dunno, probably don't have it right, but it just seems that what you're going through right now will eventually give you mastery of it...make you a good teacher of it some day.

Looking forward to more--:o)..and love,

Yes, well stated...and since we don't know a great deal so much fear is generated about this situation, compounding the problem even more til I think many are packed off to institutions or drugged out of their minds. As far as I'm concerned (from what little direct experience I have with this so far) you hit the nail on the head: some of these Nons are isolated, lonely, and just wanting attention, so narrowly focused on whatever their need/addiction is that they can't see the forest for the trees. And sometimes the person in the physical has similar characteristics.
