Messages - lucid dancer

#26
Hi Adrian,
You brought up a good point about trance. I had to stop and think about that one for a while, because for me trance is like second nature. They don't explain it in great detail, but what they do have seemed to be in good quality. They have an excersize on how to achieve a full relaxed state, also an exersize about focus and concentration.

I think they have a light idea of what trance is. They say that simple things like taking a shower, doing artwork, or driving could easily be compared to the trance state needed to be a channel.

I hope I answered your question. This might not be the best book if you're just starting to learn about those things.

I've only tried one of the excersizes in the book, preparing to be a channel. It involves getting a few crystals and a few flowers. You sit down in a relaxed state and go into trance. Take a few minutes to go there. Imagine that you are recalling all of your energy back from the world and releasing other people's energy from you. Now take each item (one by one) in your hand trying to feel for it's energy. Ask to recieve it's messages, you might see images form in your mind.

This was an interesting excersize. I'm not very good at noticing energy patterns and stuff, but I could tell that each one was different. I won't really expect to be channeling until I go through a few more steps.

I feel that the books content was truthful. They have a love for the world and they want to help us find our spiritual paths.

Sometimes people will be lucky enough to hear messages from their guide, others can see an image of their guide. Most of the time you'll recieve images, emotions, or symbols ...almost like when memories pop up out of nowhere. Even though you feel like your imagining everything, you should just write everything down and keep practicing.

the writer of the story wasn't sure how to end the movie. He wanted us to question what was really going on, just like we listened to every story, questioning reality. The way it ended was a full circle (hovering beside the car) except this time there was a release. To me, that symbolizes a change in events. Perhaps he woke up, perhaps he died. How do you want the movie to end?

Welcome to Dreams! / Some Questions...
July 23, 2003, 01:52:49
If you're interested in dreaming of the future, you should keep a journal of your dreams. You should write your dreams down everyday. Even if you don't recall your dream, you should at least try to write something down. ...a lingering emotion, a color, a setting.

What you'll find is that you dream of the future all the time. When you dream, it's only a suggestion of a future event. For example, if you dreamed of a car crash and were lucid enough to catch details of the event, (like the street name) you might be smart enough to trust your dream and avoid that road.

Roy,
From your post it seems you know something about tantra too. I've been wondering about sexual energy lately. I seem to have an abundance of it, since I am madly in love and not sexually active. I've been abstinant for about a year. Just recently I've been following Robert Bruce's technique of putting energy in my lowest energy storage point (below the belly button).
Are there other ways to harness this energy? I'd love to read any more information on this if you're willing to write!

Adrian,
I've been experimenting with lucid dream projections for a while now. It's going to take some time to figure out. Since I've surrendered to the fact that most of my dreams are out of body experiences in the first place, all I need to figure out is what frequency I'm existing in. There are different dimensions to travel to, and different ways of getting there.
My first effort to have a projection from a dream involved standing completely still and allowing my thoughts to clear also. I was surprised to see that my atmosphere didn't change. So, I figured I was in a set locale. This is one of Frank's methods.
Other times, I've tried to create a reality fluctuation by flying straight up like a rocket. Whenever I did this, I could watch layers of land as I flew through them.
Now, my idea is that you could travel to a higher dimension by raising your energy level in the dream. I haven't tried this yet. I know that experience has a lot to do with this kind of travel. Once you go to a place, it's easy to revisit. All you have to do is imagine being there again. For first time experiences, it's a good idea to ask for a guide's assistance.
I'm very excited about lucid travelling!

sorry about my description being so short. I'm not a very good writer, that's why I suggested a book to read (one of the best). A shaman travels using dreams and projections, actually thay would say a dream IS a projection. You go and speak with your animal spirit guides and you can meet Gods and Goddesses. You can even speak to inanimate objects in dreams. You could have many experiences of power both internal and external of yourself. They travel through time easily too.
#33
A shaman is someone who works with his/her dreams to enhance life. I wouldn't say that shamanism is a kind of religion. It's not like Christianity or whatever. The gift of dreaming and astral travel is for everybody. The best book I've read on the subject is 'Dream Gates' by Robert Moss. I know I've mentioned this book a few times in the forum already, but it's a MUST! The author practices shamanic ways and is a very good teacher.

Hi,
I don't believe that your energy work is related to lack of dream recall. It is supposed to help the dream experience. Wanting to remember is the first step. What I usually do:
When I wake up, I stay in bed in the same position. I found that moving or thinking often scares the dream away. I'll ask myself questions. Who was I with? I was talking to...Where was I? etc. Usually small questions like this will allow a dream or fragment of a dream to surface. Be gentle and patient with yourself. Keeping a journal will help too, if you're serious.

Pantilimon,

I remember your site. I visited a long time ago, because I'm interested in lucidity. I don't know if you changed the locale since then. The one that I saw was like a living room setting in the middle of an orange desert. It had doors all around the living room, also with two blue people who were receptionists.

I like the place as it stands for dreaming, because people don't have to stay there long. The astral locale (if you are honest about changing a little) should be a little more earthy and natural. It should be a place were people would like to hang out there. It doesn't have to have receptionists.
Otherwise, I think it's a wonderful idea and thank you so much for offering your help. ....and doorways are still a good idea!
#36
Hi everybody,
I did draw up my plan of the Astral Locale, but I'm not good with this digital stuff. I don't have any programs available to deliver the image for now. I feel very bad about that.
I know that Lucid Traveller is a good artist, and he may help.

It's funny, I was just thinking that somebody should make a spiritual movie, anything related to the topics we write about.
I was very dissappointed with Vanilla Sky. It was about a lucid dream, but it was made by people who had no clue about what a ld really is. So sad!
The spirit movies have been alright
The Others and (I forgot the name of the other one)

Welcome to Astral Chat! / The Movie "the Ring"
June 02, 2003, 02:13:13
Oh my God, such horrible taste in movies! The Ring could have been a lot better. The minutes you missed were important to understand the movie. If you're interested, just watch the end again. and the kid turned on the movie himself, willingly.
Dragonfly was horrible too ...Lucid Traveller
The other two movies you mentioned are good though. I haven't seen Evil Dead in years!
#39
are you guys serious?
any elements you'd like to add or subtract?
I really don't know how many doors/portals it should have.
The drawing won't show them, being inside the building. They'll materialize through time, just like everything else.

Maybe Adrian can shed some light on that for us.
#40
how about this:

a stone sidewalk leads up to a huge building. There are rose bushes (or any other kind of flower) hugging the edges of the sidewalk. The building holds a library and numerous doorways to other worlds. It has pillars, like a Roman style building. When you're standing on the stone sidewalk, you could explore the areas to the left or to the right. One area is very plain. It's all grass with a lot of stones set in a circular pattern, like stonehenge. On the other side is a water fountain, the water falls into the pool right beside it. They are so close, that it's almost one piece.

ok, so there are three areas to gather: a stonehenge, a building and a pool. If we choose something like this and it's drawn up, just use one of your favorite parts to focus on. Even though the place is full of stuff, you don't have to make it complicated. For example, you could just focus on the water fountain to get there.

hey, sorry I haven't replied in a while. My life has been a rollercoaster lately. I honestly thought there were other artists willing to get involved with this project. I know that's still a possibility, but I'll come up with some sketchings anyway.

one idea: A tall waterfountain structure as a centerpeice, the water flows into a pool, the water from the pool folds over the cliff into the ocean. People can sit in and around the pool. There's grass all around. ....

Alright, I was gonna go into detail with all of my ideas to give you something to look forward to, but it's not turning out right. I guess I should get on the drawings and get back to you. ...Then if we come upon a decision, I'll paint the final piece.

#42
I would go running to my lover!
#43
I just want to let you guys know that as one of the artists, I won't be able to start anything for a while. I won't have a day off for about a week and a half. I'll probably come up with some thumbnail sketches to post. So, during this time get your requests in!

wants and needs
I think we should come up with more ideas about this place. We could list all of our ideas about comfort and desirable atmospheres. What we also need to focus on is objects or symbols that have to be there. So far I understand that there should be one or more doorways.
There must be other things that NEED to be there, right?

It might be cool to have a statue centerpeice. Something with character might be easy to focus on. It could have something catchy that is easy to visualize and everyone recognizes it (for example: a rubber ducky)...that example might be inapropriate, but you know what I mean.
#45
I'm an artist and would love to help with this project. You can check on my website //star-portraits.com
I have a lot of portraits there, but it shows the reality of the work. I've been leaning towards doing more inspiring peices, so this should be great. I'm pondering different landscape ideas as I type. I'll get back to you guys later!

#46
Alright, you need to approach visions as if they are dreams. First, you should ponder the reality of it. Did it seem real enough to actually happen? Did it contain anyone you knew? If it was very real, and you believe it to be a future event, you can take steps to prevent it from happening.

The future isn't a set thing. You can warn people and avoid any dangers.

Now, if it wasn't realistic, (like a pink elephant stampede), there's probably a hidden message for you to decipher.

I hope that helped some

Welcome to Dreams! / He-he-hello?

So, is it Fredhedd or Egghedd?
#48
Explora, I've been looking for a site like that for the longest time. I've been to Robert's site and was dissapointed that he doesn't have a forum. A group of dreamers is intriguing. I'm considering going to his workshops, but none of them are in my area. I guess what I would really like is to be a member of a group somewhere in my state. I haven't looked around too much in your site. What are the goals of the groups? Are you going by the books, or are you creating new stuff?

Welcome to Dreams! / weird dream
April 14, 2003, 03:44:50
Sounds like a low level lucid dream. People say there are many levels of LDs, depending on your level of awareness. As long as you were able to recognize the dream, you were lucid. You'll probably have a lot of those kinds of dreams before an interesting one comes up. It takes a little practice building control and memory skills. Having nightmares is usually a good trigger for a ld. You say you've had that dream for a while? That's good. Tell yourself that the next time you have that dream/nightmare, you'll be lucid. Repeating it will make it stronger.

If you want to dream of someone you know, you can. You don't have to just sit back and watch dreams as they go by. You can actually decide what you would like to dream about and control the dreams too. It really helps if you know how to become lucid, but desire and intent is the key. I'll often ponder what I'll dream about, but it doesn't happen if I just think about it. One time before going to sleep, I had a desire to meet a spirit guide. I spent about ten to fifteen minutes talking to myself and the guide. I pretended that my/a guide was listening to every word I said. I was very specific about what I wanted and expected. I repeated myself a little until I was sure that I would remember it later and I was clear about things. I felt comfortable and fell asleep. To my astonishment, I awoke recalling a beautiful dream experience with a guide/ helpful being. If you don't know much about lucid dreams, I'd suggest reading Robert Moss's work.
